The SR Mars-Neptune conjunction in SR 9th house of Foreign Lands and Legal Affairs conjoins the SR Saturn-Uranus midpoint (see midpoint picture, below) - all in shady, secretive, infection-prone Pisces, with Pisces on the 9th cusp. Sneaky things may be hidden here! And note that the Sabian Symbol for Mars-Neptune: "21Pisces" = "A Little White Lamb, a Child, and a Chinese Servant." Of course, a "servant" could describe Trump controlled or compromised by China (via money laundering), or it could have something to do with the beginning of the Wuhan virus with its most at-risk targets (or victims, such as seniors and children) represented by an innocent "child."

Then as you know, the 12th house is the Neptunian realm of the Unconscious, Politics, Large Institutions (ex: Congress), Self-Undoing, Karma, Secret Enemies, and, in relation to our topic, Hospitals and/or Illness (opposite the 6th house of Health and Service).

Along similar 6th/12th-house lines, the Mars-Neptune pair suggests, among other things, 'susceptibility to epidemic infections' according to Reinhold Ebertin (see right, center), and possibly 'fevers, weakened stamina', 'rioting over national healthcare', and/or 'hypo-adrenal conditions'.

Turbulent Circumstances

Therefore, since the world is under threat of the corona virus as I type, and because Trump's SR 2020 horoscope shows links to health concerns and weakness issues, this post will primarily relate to medical potentials particularly when it comes to Donald Trump (whose health could not possibly be as strong as 'they say'!) Of course, what's shown in his SR chart could be only due to the contagion itself and the circumstance that America is stuck with--a fact-and-science denier who's 'dealing' with the contagion along with the 'help' of VP Pence (put in charge to soak up any blame that accrues, I suspect; we'll see). On the brighter side, perhaps the viral threat will be over or mostly over by mid-June! After all, Trump's natal Jupiter-Uranus trine does make him quite the fortunate fellow and we could all use a lucky break on this one.

So let's get the troubling midpoint picture out of the way (political, social, biological), then we'll discuss Trump's 2020 SR Sun and SR Moon, the primary considerations in a Solar Return chart that's 'good for' an entire year. The following will contain a jumble of my usual sources: Ebertin, Tyl, and Munkasey; any, all, or none of the potentials may result or may be triggered by transits or progressions later on.

Saturn-Uranus Energies Combined with Mars-Neptune

As a midpoint, 'Saturn-Uranus' suggests potentials for 'counter-revolutionary rule, violent people, quarrels, avant-garde vs the conventional, the need to fight for gains, exciting the status quo, and/or heart block'.

Add Mars in contagious Pisces to Saturn-Uranus and several possibilities are suggested such as 'the wrong use of energy, violent acts, forced release from tension or strain, great efforts and toil, challenging others for a decisive contest or fight, deprivation of freedom, injury, tremendous upheaval possible in rebellion, calamity, or over-exertion, anxiety about how things will proceed'.

To Saturn-Uranus add Neptune, strong in its own sign of Pisces, and we have potentials for 'falsehood or malice caused through weakness, resigned to the inevitable, abandonment of resistance, weakening strength, separation, bereavement, masked changes designed to break traditional roles, the delusion that change will improve traditional methods, breakdown under emotional pressure', and/or 'a new vision fighting to be understood'.

As for Trump's SR 2020 Sun and Moon, here's a list of chart factors (not including the SR 10th house Uranus 9Tau09 which is unaspected and thus unencumbered by outside influences and acting independently in spurt-like bursts of activity--this echoes his chaos-loving natal Uranus, his guiding planet):

We should also note that powerful Pluto 24Cap28 leads the tilt of a BOWL shape denoting a leader with a mission or an advocate for a cause. Unfortunately, the mission and cause seem to be implementing an anti-constitutional dictatorship in America (Pluto in Capricorn = "the dictator"--Ebertin). Then in the 6th house of Health lurks the December 26, 2019 Solar Eclipse 4Cap06 in the 3 South Saros Series of 'traumatic transformation', this SR 2020's PE. But soon the Summer Solstice 2020 Solar Eclipse will manifest with 4 North themes of 'restraint, restriction, separation' (as in quarantine?), 'illusions', and 'events that block' (Brady).

Cosmic Conditions of Trump's 2020 Solar Return Sun and Moon include but are not limited to:

SR 2020 Sun in the Cadent 12th house (transitions, fluctuations, preparations, steps taken behind the scenes), along with the North Node of future direction (at a critical 29th degree) suggests solar events taking place near the end of the period--just before his 75th birthday June 2021. But in 2020, even the 9th house SR 2020 Moon complies for the 9th is also a Cadent house of preparation--and Trump's SR 2020 Sun and Moon square one another which suggests challenges, conflicts, frustration, and blockages between goals and needs; a Sun-Moon square in a Solar Return chart may suggest dynamic energy but is unfavorable in general, and may count as as a 'health aspect.'

Other SR Sun aspects: Mars-Neptune conjunction square SR Sun, Mars square SR Sun, and the Jupiter-Pluto conjunction quincunxes (150 degr) his Sun--all suggesting health-related conditions and adjustments needed, with the SR Sun naturally being same as his natal Sun (vitality).

Transit Mars square Trump's Sun often denotes aggression, conflicts with males, and/or head injuries or blocked vitality. And transit Neptune square his Sun indicates that his leadership position is difficult to maintain, confusion and deception reign, and formerly reliable resources may become elusive or eroded. Transit Neptune square his natal Moon (21Sag12) suggests even more confusion and disorganization along with undermining conditions (which can include health concerns). As you know, that's one trouble with a natal opposition-what squares one end squares the other, plus, his Gem-Sag Full Moon is on his (karmic) Nodal Axis. Additionally, Uranus in Taurus, sign of the throat and shoulders, forms a semi-square (45 degr) to both SR Sun and SR Moon--another health indicator which may be merely an irritant or a mild or minor issue. Hope his bone spurs won't act up! See the midpoint picture this forms listed, below.

A closer look at his SR Moon in mutable Pisces suggests potentials for drug involvement (also with Mars-Neptune), and/or physical fragility (yep and yep, I'd say). and with Luna in Pisces, there could be travel (of course), family concerns or loss, new conditions in the domestic sphere, or even a change of jobs (fingers crossed!)

Yet the SR 2020 chart does show beneficial opportunities and a 'ray of hope' for Trump such as the two sextiles (60 degr) from Jupiter and Pluto toward his SR Moon. Apparently, his influence upon the public remains in force although his tendency toward self-righteousness, being stuck in the past, and experiencing a measure of loss through habitual thinking will also continue.

Now before I forget, we should also note that wealthy/stealthy Pluto is the SR planet closest to a chart Angle and thus takes precedence in the chart as 'he' leads the BOWL toward the SR 6th house of Health, Daily Rounds, and Service (Civil, Police, and Military).

Obviously, the Trump coup continues, perhaps with some of its 'reforms for improvement' hidden beneath the corona virus scare and the future restrictions he and his authoritarian comrades have in store. For as we see, the planetary trio of heavyweights appearing in the SR 7th house of Partnerships suggests potentials for 'religious and social fanaticism' and/or 'difficulties caused through illness'.

Now let's close with a few potentials of the SR 2020 chart's four midpoint pictures:

Sun-Moon = Uranus: 'isolating oneself; unusual twists of fate; using Astrology'.

Mars-North-Node = Uranus: 'accidental breaks in the thrusts or tensions of important meetings; disinterested presentations'.

Neptune-North-Node = Uranus: 'disruption and agitation via the actions of others; sudden displacement then isolation' (this picture turns up in the DNC 2020 horoscope).

Venus-ASC = North Node: 'easily meeting others'.

Well, there it is, my glancing assessment of Trump's Solar Return 2020 Horoscope. And if I added one more cosmic factor of curiosity it would be that the SR Ascendant 22Cancer12 brings up Inauguration 2017's Syzygy Moon (last lunation prior to January 20, 2017) which is, was, and always will be, the Full Moon of January 12, 2017 conjunct the natal Saturn of the 'unaccountable' yet Saturnine Mr. Trump.

"Trumpenkreigers" Act For Mr. Trump!

Talking Points Memo October 24, 2018: FBI Arrest Leader, 2 Other Members of Violent California Neo-Nazi Gang aka, "Trumpenkriegers." These "fighters for Trump" made their first major public appearance at Trump's Huntington Beach, California rally of March 25, 2017 where, as TPM reports, they "allegedly peeled off from a 'Make America Great Again' rally to target a group of counter-protesters. Videos reviewed by the FBI show (a member named Laube) grabbing a journalist and punching him in the face three times, as well as (leader, Robert Rundo) punching a protester in the back of the head" as other group members looked on. The March 2017 violence in Huntington Beach was held under the auspices of Trump's last/current Jupiter Return, a three-fer, with his natal Jupiter @18Libra, the Sabian Symbol of which is somewhat explained in 2018--"Two Men Placed Under Arrest." This also happens to be the degree where America's Mars turned retrograde by progression in 2006 just as Germany's natal Mars once did, with both Rx conditions of 80-years' duration.

Then after the Trumpenkreigers' Huntington Beach 'debut', videos and photos of their violent actions were "triumphantly" shared with a certain white supremacist publication (which shall remain nameless here) and the group went on to attend the Charlottesville SC protest where they continued their assaults on Trump's behalf--little Donald Trump, born under the brutal, violent, raging, destructive energies of the Mars-Saturn = Pluto midpoint picture as we've previously discussed. Upping the stakes of brutality (disowned) is Trump's 12th house unaspected Pluto, the 'overshadowed by shadows' indicator. And of course, the Mars-Pluto combination alone represents 'violent force' and 'brutality' and Mars-Saturn is notable as the 'death axis' (Ebertin). The Mars-Saturn-Pluto picture of violence has been forming off-and-on-again by transit as well (!) and is aided by the transiting on-and-off Saturn-Uranus trine, for as you know, the 'sociological correspondence' of the Saturn-Uranus pair = "violent people" (Ebertin), as in, "Trumpenkreigers."

And curiously (or perhaps not), transit Uranus now hitting the 00-1 Taurus zone of the Zodiac has been activating Hitler's natal Sun. Subsequently, 00-1 Taurus has ingloriously been termed a degree of violence for during his lifetime, Hitler was spurred to violent actions of brutality when his natal Sun was transited.

And if we look to Trump's current Secondary Progressions ('SP') we find his SP Pluto in Leo is now apex of a different midpoint, the 'lack of community spirit' pair of Neptune-North-Node--with SP Pluto = 'willingness to use strong destructive forces', and, 'increased needs for isolation from the influences of society'. Guess that's Mr. Ivory Tower, alone in the White House, as white supremacists carry out physical assaults intended to "forcibly excommunicate political enemies" (TPM). Do you think that bombs in the mail sent to certain of Trump's liberal critics could have a similar effect? See Trump fumes after mail bomber "interrupts" his campaign message for the constant media coverage apparently "ruined" Trump's week of bombastic propaganda.

Yet the underhanded RAM plot ('Rise Above Movement') is even thicker and drearier for as TPM details (view the Criminal Affadavit dated October 20, 2018 shown in the article), in Spring 2018, a trio of the 'Trumpenkreigers' allegedly traveled to "Germany, Italy, and Ukraine to 'celebrate Adolf Hitler's birthday' and meet with members of European White Supremacy extremist groups" and this, according to Customs and Border Patrol interviews and social media posts, is now part of the evidence against them (their 'recruiting' videos--shared brazenly or simply stupidly?). Apparently while in Europe they met with "the head of Azov Battalion, a paramilitary unit of the Ukrainian National Guard which is known for its association with Neo-Nazi ideology." Well, I won't bore you further if you've read this far but recommended is the TPM article linked above for those who dare face what Mr. Trump's weasel-like equivocation concerning the violence during the Charlottesville protests in August 2017 and his other white supremacy shout-outs and mealy-mouthings have been hiding underneath his semi-invisible plutonian hood.

For as Mr. Trump has so ably informed us, what we see and hear isn't what's really happening.

US in Crisis Mode under Anti-Constitutional Forces

America, We Remember Her Well

August 19, 2018: As you've probably heard by now, former Republican Steve Schmidt told Nicole Wallace that "America is headed for a constitutional crisis" under the 'leadership' of Donald Trump who appears to believe the mistaken notion that he is above the law. Plus, Mr. Trump definitely doesn't care to preserve, protect, or defend the US Constitution as he swore to do and his backers the Koch Brothers, along with Australian mogul Rupert Murdoch and other billionaires, are simply antsy to tinker under the hood of the venerable document with their anti-democratic "liberty" inclinations during a (sham) Constitutional Convention. Their sabotaging reforms would free the compromised Mr. Trump and others to subvert and weaken our nation even more easily than they already have which would clear the way for a 'new order' global government control grid of draconian proportions to complete its implementation--for which implementation America must be knocked from her throne as global leader.

In light of this crisis, a previous SO'W post grumpily attempted to make a big deal out of such threats to the America we've known and want to maintain by posting the horoscope of the upcoming Progressed New Moon (SP) of the US Constitution, a symbolic word picture representing a moment in time--the seeding of a new cycle of activity, or in this case, a new cycle of existence. Now operating within a darkened Balsamic phase of the Moon (a period when shady things can 'go bump in the night'), our Constitution is under assault by forces and entities such as Russia, China, and other actors hiding behind dark curtains--with Trump currently acting as their 'face', his 'MAGA" mask slipping a little every day to reveal the sabotaging smirk underneath.

Note that a horoscope of the Prenatal Solar Eclipse of the US Constitution is also shown in the above post but here I shall re-post below the horoscopes of the US Constitution itself (September 17, 1787) and its SP New Moon of November 5, 2018 which perfects one day before the 2018 Midterms. To me such cosmic synchronicity demonstrates another example among others of the importance of voting in the 2018 Midterm Elections for those of us who are determined to keep the US Constitution as-is without Trump-style anti-government types weakening its principles that America depends on. This suggests that it will be necessary for everyone to vote against all Republican candidates on November 6, 2018 although I don't prefer typing what seems to be a partisan message. However, the current American Crisis is that important so I'll do it for the Republic's sake.

Because after the Declaration of Independence was negotiated and partially signed, Benjamin Franklin is reputed to have answered a question from a man on the street, What kind of government do we have? "A Republic if you can keep it," Ben replied. Let's vote to keep it!

Chart two shown below is the document's SP New Moon Horoscope of November 5, 2018 with the New Moon's Sabian Symbol of 'RESOLUTION': "A Battle Between the Swords and the Torches," a mysterious symbol which may have yet another meaning these days since white supremacists have famously marched with torches in hand. Yet 'lighted torches' are actually an Illuminati tell similar to the one held up by the Statue of Liberty (or 'eternal flames' at certain victims' grave sites)!

Now I wonder if our founding Illuminati-ists, Freemasons, and Rosicrucians would approve of the reforms the Kochs and other anarchists want to perpetrate upon the US Constitution as part of their authoritarian take-over of our country against any and all wishes of We The People?

As you see, the planetary pair of Mercury and Neptune--here rising and setting in opposition--are prominent as they are in the natal chart of Donald Trump who was born with the thinking-tweeting planet Mercury and deceitful Neptune squaring one another, an aspect of "The Sneaky Mind" (Oken). This square, as previously discussed here and elsewhere, identifies Trump as an indiscreet, fantasy-prone fellow whose misconception of facts, off-kilter ideas about other people, and tendency to live in a fantasy world of his own creation aid him in the ruination of our nation.

So is it to be out with the old order of 1776, in with the new? Astrologically that's a Saturn-Uranus kind of thing! Then please keep an eye on the 'resolution' or proposed legislation introduced in Congress for a Constitutional Convention for they are dangerously close to success with calls coming from both Right and Left. Last I read, only 6 more states are needed to reach the 34-state minimum requirement. And let's not fall for the justification of 'strengthening' the document or otherwise 'improving' it for this is precisely the opposite of what the zealots intend.

DC Horoscopes: Chiron to Aries Point 2018--2019

Chiron and the Roots of America: What Kind of Nation Are We?

Transiting Chiron conjoins the Aries Point (AP) three times on April 17, 2018, September 25, 2018 (Rx), and February 18, 2019. Below is a tri-wheel image of the upcoming Chiron-AP conjunctions with the horoscopes set for Washington DC and basic notes penned upon the chart including each conjunction's Pre-Natal Solar Eclipse which are listed, lower left:

It seems to me that any transit to Aries Point is globally significant for multiple reasons, not the least of which because in the US natal horoscope I most often tend to use (July 4, 1776 5:09 pm LMT Philadelphia, PA--IC 00Ari47), the Foundation/Roots/Ending Point (IC) conjoins the Aries Point with 00Libra at Midheaven, two of the four Cardinal World Points of Manifestation. Therefore, Mars, god of war, rules our nation's founding and our ending through its ruler-ship of Aries. This cosmic condition unfortunately spotlights America's natal Mars-Neptune square and one assumes the Founding Fathers would not have been as proud of our national Mars in Gemini if they'd been aware of astrological Neptune's dissolving, undermining, and fraudulent influences upon our country's actions and motives (Mars). Subsequently, misguided, misdirected, off-the-mark plans and projects have abounded and usually in the realms of war and conflict.

So perhaps we should consider what wounded-wounding Chiron, priestly centaur of healing, blindspots, and the Christ archetype in Astrology, represents when in Mars-ruled Aries while remembering that Chiron orbits between inner Saturn and outer Uranus (past + future = present--be here now!, says Chiron), the planetary pair representing Israel and Palestine as well as old order vs new order--and the tension between them that is causing much turmoil across the world today.

Chiron in Aries signifies pioneers, trailblazers, and mavericks, and conjures and stimulates the Mars-Chiron 'sacred warrior' archetype into action. And since astrological Chiron is associated with our Life Quest, we must wonder what new discoveries, break-throughs, or expeditions are in store--possibly concerning America's founding or Founding Fathers (IC/4thhouse); futuristically, more space exploration is included in the Chirotic possibilities. Chiron is also linked to nuclear energy so the atomic realm may also be featured during Chiron's stay in Aries until 2027, the first year Chiron Returns to natal discovery degree (1977) of 3Tau08 in 2027--2028.

Chiron in Aries suggests head wounds (exs: concussions, depression and other mental conditions) and points toward the current mass murder climate and lack of gun control now wounding Americans physically, emotionally, and psychologically. Chiron in Aries tends to be a loner (R. Nolle) and America has always been that--with Trump's isolating policies, now more than ever. Our nation's adventurism and conquest-loving persona 'inspires' many males (US Mars Rx by progression since 2006) to take up arms against their fellow citizens within a hazy, often drug-fueled morass of misdirected targeting.

Yet Chiron also symbolizes "wholeness, the synthetic reconciliation of thesis and antithesis" (R. Nolle--his book is linked, below). Note that Donald Trump's natal Chiron is in Libra, a relatively rare placement for The Centaur, and indicating one who is 'singled out for a special role'. His Chiron is snugged between the speculator-spendthrift-bubbly pair of Jupiter and Neptune, in his natal 2nd house of Money and Values. Now you may disagree, but to me the conflict-loving, gilt-laden man, a specialist in bullying, insults, and chaos, definitely represents wounded values!

Of course, we cannot overlook the fact that the Aries Point actually conjoins fixed star Scheat (29Pis38) which can positively express as intellectualism, or negatively express when combined with a malefic planet as potentials for misfortune, murder, suicide, or imprisonment. In other words, "malevolence of sublime scope" (A. Louis) and this may echo conditions from around the time of the Spring Equinox 2015 Solar Eclipse conjunct Scheat! This was the Pre-Natal Solar Eclipse of Trump's prez bid announcement on June 16, 2015 and we see where that's getting us.

Now using the rounded-up method for Sabian Symbols, US natal IC's degree of 00Ari47 = '1 Aries": "A Woman Has Arisen from the Sea, a Seal Is Embracing Her" which is a handy reference to America's Great Seal and the major involvement of Freemasonry in the founding of our nation. Of course, this word picture (Sabian Symbol) also points to Weishaupt's Bavarian Illuminati and its official founding and seal (May 1, 1776) so like our nation's Great Seal. And though we may not wish to know this, the symbol for '1 Aries' in Carelli's Degrees is: "An armed warrior of herculean build tilling the soil" which he notes is the Sun's degree of Germany's Third Reich. Well, America does like to play the role of adventure-prone strongman Hercules as did Herr Hitler in his day.

America's Founding as a Nation

Now here's a curious note: Chiron's orbital period is approximately 50 years (or, 49-51). Here's a brief excerpt from a previous post concerning America's natal Chiron:

US natal Chiron @21Aries = "A Pugilist Entering the Ring" and with Chiron returning to natal degree near the day of the two Founders' deaths (Jefferson and Adams both died July 4, 1826--50 years to the day after the Declaration of Independence was proclaimed), we see that two of the top 'pugilists' of our Revolutionary era had left the ring of life" and the fight for independence they once championed. Apparently, 'the ring' on one level was global geopolitics--and Washington continues to fight behind the shield of the 'sacred warrior' with our Chiron in Mars-ruled Aries.

Now with America's natal Chiron in 4th house, we know that our search for identity is the Quest. The American Revolution supplied the original answer so that now, re-connecting with our roots and honestly assessing our past are imperative if we as a nation wish to heal our current sickened condition. Environmentalism is also suggested by a 4th house Chiron as we watch corporatists and oil drillers plunder our natural resources and poison our waters, air, and soil. Have you noticed how often we hear in the media pundits uttering such questions as, Is this who America really is? Or, What kind of nation are we? Usually these questions are asked when austerity measures and other bad policies threaten the lives and health of US citizens as they do under Trump and the GOP leadership.

Yes, FDR's healing bromide, the test of our progress remains an excellent guide for measuring who and what America really is. Yet these days we're failing rather badly at defining ourselves while plutocratic "economic royalists" are doing it for us. Will we allow regressive 'Robin Hood' politicians and policies that favor the wealthy to rule the day and send American culture back to 1854? Not if Stars Over Washington can help it! For as progressive broadcaster and author Thom Hartmann often reminds us, democracy is not a spectator sport--so how will You, dear reader, answer the question, Who and What is America?

Now let's close with the April 17, 2018 midpoint picture that very soon will closely affect Chiron at AP: Sun-Uranus = Chiron. Transit Saturn's Three Major Aspects to Outer Planets 2018--2020

If you've wondered what old man Saturn, the lesson bringer and task master, has in store for society while traversing his own sign of Capricorn you're not alone. It's been approximately 26 years since the 'old devil' visited his natural domain of the Zodiac, agent of change that he is, and a few rules may be in order. Not my rules or yours, but rules of the Saturnian kind. After all, no one evades the universal law of karma and reaping what was sown must be dealt with by us all. So for those who have followed dutiful, dignified Saturn's directives and demands in the past (also his domain!), long lasting rewards are on the way for long hours of hard work. Or at least, that's one of the the more positive potentials on the 2018--2020 horizon.

Of course, in a natal horoscope planet Saturn's sign reveals our 'fatal flaw' and also describes something about our deepest fear. Saturn's house placement is important as well when assessing how a general transit will affect our lives but since I primarily write about mundane topics here let's consider Saturn in Capricorn, sign of government, law, and business and what its transit may portend. Perhaps a peek at outer planets in angular relationship to Saturn as his Capricorn visit plods on can provide a few clues on what to expect with Saturn's societal influences. Naturally, the planet's rule of structure, systems, form, reality, and time will be affected in various ways, or will be 'on the schedule' so to speak.

Transpersonal Planets Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto with Saturn 2018--2020

During his stay in Capricorn, Saturn makes three quite easy aspects to the three outer planets. By sign, Saturn will trine Uranus, and the pair representing the past and the future will get along in general and support creative activities with Uranian ideas, ideals, and inventions fitting well into Saturnian form and are therefore more likely to become reality. This works best when transit Uranus is in Taurus, sign of the builder and the preserver. As you know, status quo Saturn, planet of The Establishment, likes to preserve and conserve so it would be wonderful if the current GOP push toward damaging the environment for the sake of exploiting natural resources was placed back under control in spite of the current Trump administration's dismantling of regulations that protect us.

And although Saturn in Capricorn can be dampening or restrictive to markets and commerce via Saturn's aversion to risk and tendency toward austerity measures, the Saturn-Uranus influence when in effect may benefit business and finance particularly in relation to group and organizational matters. Yes, the economy may continue its upward direction, for a while at least, though some of its more bubbly aspects have been concerning of late due to past transgressions and crimes committed by that gambling casino they call 'Wall Street' ('wall' being a Saturnian word, Uranus = technology) so another crash prior to 2020 cannot be completely ruled out for bubbles always burst, after all. But maybe that's just me, a rather typical fretting Capricorn!

Of course in personal finances benefits will depend upon Saturn and Uranus placements and aspects in natal charts which is beyond the scope of this post, as noted.

During this time frame, transit Saturn will also form an opportunistic sextile with nebulous, dreamy Neptune, planet of fraud, falsehood, and idealism. A Saturn-Neptune sextile period is great for creative projects including music and visionary imaginations may soar under its influence. Charitable organizations may be more in focus along with addiction issues (much needed!) and spiritual quests and interests--also needed in our society. Practicing discrimination between fantasy and reality will continue to be an issue as fakery (Neptune) vs truth (Saturn) gets in the way of progress and 'getting to the bottom of things' remains difficult as preferred by some propagandists who use such tactics against society.

A general interest in Mythology may flourish as it did in a bygone era and those with a talent for long-range planning are in their element under this sextile though following through with decisions may be somewhat difficult since concentration can ebb and flow like the waves of a Neptunian sea. Plus, priorities may be continually revised which adds to the follow-through problem and some folk may paint rosy pictures in order to cover up real problems and avoid or procrastinate about dealing with them.

And since the Saturn-Neptune pair relates to the ill, weak, elderly, and/or suffering among us, we can expect such discussions to continue but perhaps with more compassion than the usual political hard-heartedness for Neptune is softening and likes to merge with others while Saturn can be hard, cold, isolating, frugal, calculating, and just plain mean. As you know, our already tattered social safety net is under siege now in Washington and the reality of Americans hungry in the streets due to cutbacks for the sake of wealthy corporate types is an outrageous possibility. How many times must the old guns vs butter concept be debated in America?

On the societal level, another negative potential of a Saturn-Neptune sextile is invasion (Neptune) of boundaries (Saturn) which is somehow made more possible due to the opportunities a sextile (60) aspect creates. This applies on a personal level as well (ex: personal space) but also to refugees, and to those who invade countries (militarily or otherwise), or who infiltrate them and/or their governments. Spies and secret agents are implied and of course cyber crimes may be involved for secretive, insinuating Neptune rules nets and networks of all sorts and Saturn has his blocking function and a demand for control. Yet limits must still apply for even moderation must be moderated.

Then when transit Saturn and Pluto sextile one another, those in the legal professions, journalism, and research and development are favored. Control and the grasping and holding of power are issues on the table which sounds more negative than positive to me although you may disagree. During this period, sticking to budgets will be very important though too much austerity delays progress. Also important will be more intense levels of advocacy of causes such as defending the rights of those who are oppressed, exploited, and victimized (for they will be). And if we can avoid obsessing over piddly details we'll fare better under this sextile for necessary adjustments are more difficult to achieve when rules are too rigid or inflexible.

And if you feel daring, why not look ahead to a brand new Saturn-Pluto cycle (of appr 33 years) beginning January 12, 2020 when the hardship and cruelty pair meet (at same degree same minute same second as calculated by Solar Fire Gold v9) in the Cosmos @22Cap46. And with both planets considered 'karmic' we may wish to consider the Conjunction horoscope and thus the Vertex, a point of fated encounters.

Summer Solstice 2017: Saturn at Midheaven

) With old man Saturn at the top of the chart, this partially describes the summer season of 2017 in America. Neptune in Pisces rises in the chart providing instability, discontent, and a cover-up atmosphere to the proceedings. And of course, the Saturn-Neptune pairing always conjures the ghost of America's invisible (Neptune) government (Saturn) or what is called today the *Deep State composed of a faction of global imperialists who never met a war they didn't promote and profit from. Add other Saturn-Neptune indicators such as cuts for social safety net programs and sanctuary cities and the guns vs butter struggle is on.

A Saturn Summer with More Saturn

In Astrology archetypal Saturn denotes conservative politicians, executives, administrators, lawmakers, organizers, and other ambitious people--here visible at the Public Reputation and Career Point (MC) of the chart. Of course, seniors are also signified by old man Saturn which hints of the social safety net programs that are on Washington's political menu and the restriction and denial that conservatives have been determined to enforce since the days that FDR's New Deal began.

(How dare tax monies paid by We The People be used to fund their own needs? What a notion!)

Now as you know, in transit Saturn now tarries via retrograde in Jupiter-ruled Sagittarius, sign of The Seeker, traveler, foreigner, refugee and/or emigrant, and will enter its own sign of Capricorn in mid-December 2017 once the planet passes one of the Cardinal World Points of manifestation (00Cap00). Correct me if memory isn't serving here, but Saturn in Capricorn is not a good placement for the markets. And in light of recent political events, it suggests even more use of strong-arm tactics against We the People through actions of the Trump administration, the Justice Department, the EPA, our nation's Legal System, loosening of protective regulations and laws, and those klannish good ole boy police departments.

Now Saturn conjunct MC is a negative indicator if other planets afflict the duo but other than separating oppositions from Sun and Mercury which cause frustration, this is not so much the case for here we have Saturn in a Fire Grand Trine if we use the 6th house North Node in Leo as one of the triangle's points. This suggests a Saturnian person with leadership ability but one who is totally self-absorbed and demanding that his wants and needs be met immediately--an egotist, we could say. Wonder who this could be shown in the chart at the pinnacle of his career (MC)? Attention, approval, appreciation, applause, and reward are musts for this Saturn! And ixnay on accountability please! Never mind that Saturn only rewards such things as diligence, maturity, authenticity, and honesty, all of which may be problems for most of the political class, both here and abroad.

Meanwhile, the summer's trines to Saturn from radical activist Uranus (3S42) and the North Node (1A45; public contact/publicity/ future direction) support conservative Saturn in what is perhaps a closed circuit of energy denoted by the Fire Grand Trine but if not, these are definitely three trines of beneficial energies. The fact that both trines are separating (waning) in this chart may or may not be especially significant (and are unconscious) since transit Saturn will turn Direct on August 25th, shifting energies in more ways than one.

While stationing, planets gain strength, and Saturn's Direct Station in August hits directly upon Mr. Trump's natal Moon (21Sag) and South Node while opposing his natal Sun-North Node conjunction which suggests that his approval rating continues to be lukewarm and his work (Saturn) may lack all the beneficial rewards he demands. Health issues, relationships, and family matters (natal Moon) remain in the Saturnian spotlight as well, plus, transit Saturn simultaneously triggers the 'sapphire star' Ras Alhague with its health-and-healing connotations and other less desirable implications.

In the Summer Solstice chart, Saturn-ruled Capricorn falls upon the 11th cusp affecting Groups, Associations, Hopes and Wishes. The planet's restrictive, delaying energies bounce across the Cancer-Capricorn polarity into the 5th house of Risk-Taking, Gambling, Children, and other Creative Pursuits this summer so for those who follow the astrological effects upon the escapades and political notions of our groper-in-chief, the Summer Solstice 2017 Horoscope is a handy chart to watch especially since Gemini Mr. Trump in the Oval Office is playing the stand-in representative on the world stage (MC) for America herself.

A Saturn Rx Station and the Rollicking "Trump Rally" Bubble

April 6, 2017 Saturn Stations Rx and Rises with 1988 Uranus in Tow

As I type it's easy to find articles concerning the current stock market, the 'Trump Rally' some call it, which is a bubble of over-evaluation that the US stock market is floating around in, a bubble made to feel right at home thanks to the natal horoscope of the NYSE (1792) with its inflationary speculator pair of Jupiter conjunct Neptune in Libra. So the NYSE is in process of a Jupiter Return as well! Natal Jupiter @22Lib57 Rx; natal Neptune @27Lib42 Rx).

No financial astrologer am I but it is interesting that the Saturn-Uranus pair--the first planet, restrictive, sober, and cautious, the second, progressive, freedom-loving, and futuristic--when blending their energies together in the realms of Economics tends to create "sharp swings before settling on a new track," says expert astrologer Marjorie Orr. What goes up must come down and even Wall Street gentry can't change natural laws.

So all this has inspired me to look at the last (current) conjunction/s of Saturn and Uranus which occur approximately every 45 years, and compare it with transit Saturn's 2017 position here in the first year of Mr. Trump who has recently touted his so-called "Trump Rally" on Wall Street. Yes, Jupiterians tend to take credit where it isn't due. And since he's known for his attraction to gambling casinos, it seems appropriate to include him in this consideration since Wall Street is a gambling casino. So the three 1988 Saturn-Uranus conjunctions fell in the range of 27 to 30 degrees of Jupiter-ruled Sagittarius and what seems significant is that transit Saturn is in process of returning to those three degree positions.

Further focus may be found in the horoscope (pictured, below) of Saturn's April 6, 2017 Retrograde Station @27Sag47:29 whic casts a spotlight on the third of the three Saturn-Uranus conjunctions which occurred on October 18, 1988 (with a 2-minute orb). For as you know, stationing planets increase in strength, here is transit Saturn retracing and highlighting its own path at the beginning of the current Saturn-Uranus cycle, and there's a shady "Trump Rally" going on in markets.

Now everyone knows that a Saturn Return is a time of accountability--of confronting past failures, correcting mistakes, and ending situations and alliances that prevent future growth. This is made more necessary by the fact that Saturn is now passing through the NYSE's 4th house, a time of Atonement. Of course, it may be that re-commitment is in order though I suspect that a finalizing period would be more likely considering the Exchange's lack of transparency. Remember when transit Saturn hit and crossed the IC (The Ending; The Drain) of the 4th house (IC @28Sco19) and resulted in the strange episode of July 8, 2015 when trading was suddenly and mysteriously halted due to an "internal technology issue" which "prompted the halt"? If memory serves, the poorly explained shutdown of the DOW lasted from 11:32 am edt to 2:45 pm or so. That was Saturn shutting down the proceedings allegedly due to technology issues of techie planet of and electricity, Uranus.

Plus, traditionally the Saturn-Uranus duo relate to the Middle East particularly to Israel and Palestine and you'll find quite a few such references on a list of Historical Events of 1988 in addition to finances, President Reagan, UK PM Thatcher, Bush 41, the Soviet Union's Gorbachev

, and the SEC fining Drexel, to name a few. Sports and entertainment events are listed as well and of course Donald Trump turns up as well: on July 11, 1988 Mike Tyson hired Mr. Trump as "an advisor." Then on October 26, 1988, Trump presents Tyson with a $2 million bill for 4 months' worth of advisory service. Somewhere between those dates Mr. Tyson smashed a TV camera but it isn't listed whether that little PR stunt was staged on the sage advice of Mr. Trump (aka, John Miller, the mysterious PR guy).

Pictured above is the Saturn Rx Station horoscope of April 6, 2017 (Washington DC) placing a cosmic emphasis on their cyclic dance which began in 1988 and showing that Saturn and Uranus have reached a harmonious trine (120 degrees) phase of received benefits for groups and organizations if not for one's personal finances. However, lower interest rates are suggested by the trine and tax breaks for certain classes are 'in the air'. Money bags financier and politician Jupiter is Angular and on display upon the world stage but with the opposing Sun at IC (their opposition a time of all show, no substance) and something quirky or untoward is afoot with the Sun approaching radical Uranus (24Ari00) in the 4th house of Real Estate, Mining, etc (with this chart set for Washington DC I continue to 'think Trump' here).

Note: see lower left for the T-Square's midpoint picture between Sun-Jupiter and apex Pluto, a large scale enterprise trio.

Predictably, manipulation is possible for very few people during this time for only those favored with the widest vision may see far enough ahead and behind to take correct or corrective action. 'Those' such as the wealthy, stealthy first house Pluto in Capricorn which is, as you see, intercepted. This hints that something hidden and karmic is involved in the current bubbly affair that Mr. Trump has taken credit for (when he isn't disparaging it)--possibly in a breakdown mode to ready for plutonian transformation. But there's always karma's natural law of reaping what's been sown which can apply to stock markets in general, now that I think about it, although gamblers always tend to want large gains for little effort, no matter the scale of their endeavors.

Now because of Saturn's upcoming retrograde period (the very moment of his directional shift you see before you in this horoscope), the latest degree of the Saturn-Uranus conjunction/s is 29Sag55 on February 13, 1988, a critical-crisis 29th degree--but it won't be reached until around December 20, 2017--just prior to transit Saturn eagerly entering its own sign of Capricorn. And as you may know, heavy, cold Saturn when in barrier-loving Capricorn does not tend to favor markets. So let's see as 2017 comes to a close if Mr. Trump takes the credit--or the Saturnian blame--for that.

Saturn, Uranus, Criminal Justice, and Old vs New

Those who use, study, or practice Astrology know that America's natal Saturn in Libra, sign of the Scales of Justice, is in astrologese considered exalted. Yet since July 4, 1776 when Saturn was at 14 Libra 48, America's Secondary Progressed (a year for a day) Saturn has since retrograded by progression and is now at 3 Scorpio (since 1996 if memory serves--Bill Clinton!) This is quite a different influence for Saturn--forceful Mars-Pluto rather than evaluating Venus. Only recently transiting Saturn plodded through Scorpio, sign of big business (like our privatized prison system, towns and cities making money off those who can't pay court fees and traffic tickets, etc, as if they're criminals) but also of transformation, corporatism, the occult, and even death which unfortunately and unfairly has been the fate of an alarming number of our citizens in their cells or beside the road.

Add to this the transit of disruptive Uranus in Aries which has been opposing US natal Saturn within orb since early 2014 and remaining within range of opposition (if we count a 5-degree orb on either side of 14Lib48) until approximately late March 2016. This transit affects many areas of our government, business and legal systems, and other realms that Saturn rules--including systems. Restriction, inhibition, limitation, authority, loss, karma, accountability, responsibility, reward for hard work--you name it and transiting Uranus, planet of upset, upheaval, rebellion, riots, protests, anarchy, and (when Uranus is in Mars-ruled Aries), a signal for blind zealotry, violence, and fanatical fights for ideas has tipped America's Saturnian apple cart in unexpected, unpredictable ways.

Yes, dreamy Utopians have gained quite a bit of ground against the status quo that establishment Saturn tends to prefer. That the US Congress is a target is actually predictable, however, since Saturn also rules lawmakers such as senators and representatives, many of which are or were lawyers.

Included in this transit is the theatrical event on Capitol Hill this very morning when Saturnian John Boehner handed over the Speaker's gavel to a new generation in the person of Uranian Paul Ryan and this may be partially described by transit Uranus opposing US natal Saturn when a 'new order' is demanded. Helpfully, the Full Moon of October 27, 2015 at 3 Taurus 44 acted as a perfect timer since the Sun conjoined US SP Saturn at 3 Scorpio and a culmination or fulfillment (Full Moon) was reached as John Boehner's tenure as Speaker of the House was completed.

Hmm..wonder if the strong Saturn-Uranus energies now affecting our nation are on some deep level resonating with Senator and 2016 candidate Bernie Sanders who was born in 1941 under the auspices of a Saturn-Uranus conjunction?

As Astrology describes it, an idea (Uranus) needs a physical container (Saturn) in order to manifest upon the earthly plane. People born when the two planets are not in major (or at least, minor) aspect to one another have a difficult time bringing their ideas and plans into reality, the realm of Saturn. This is what I always think of when such a topic is discussed, as it is here, by Max Igan who provides us with good advice as always.

And in Political (Mundane) Astrology? The Saturn-Uranus midpoint relates to legislative and executive bodies, control of dissidents, sudden indifference to traditional *mores or laws, counterrevolutionary rule, and/or the balancing of conservatives (Saturn) and progressives (Uranus), among other things.

Obviously, that last relates to the ongoing stalemate in Washington DC between The Establishment that prefers the status quo and Uranian Utopians and other political radicals who don't necessarily have any respect for tradition, or for senior actors who may hold more mature attitudes.

In such a sense, we can probably consider America's Founding Fathers as previously denoted in horoscopes by rebellious Uranus (freedom and independence), but these days are represented in most realms by older, wiser Saturn!

Another way to say it is that their then-future has in the present become our past. How would you say it?

"Republicans are Reactionaries" not Conservatives (Uranus not Saturn)

How refreshing to read a previous tweet by Billy Butterfield shouting out that 'Republicans Are Reactionaries' and not Conservatives, so I retweeted it today.

Using Political Astrology, I'd have to echo Billy's sentiment for in Mundane charts, Republicans--not just the Tea Party faction of the party but the group as a whole--are signified by rebellious Uranus, the revolutionary, now lurching through Mars-ruled Aries (sign of war, opposition, cussedness, and a selfish me-first mindset), what Reinhold Ebertin describes as fanatics acting under "blind zeal" and using "violence"; they have an "urge to strive for reform" and are stubborn, "dreamy enthusiasts and Utopians" and that IDs them as acolytes of the Francis Bacon/Adam Weishaupt crowd of illuminated miscreants and perverts. Their "Great Plan" has progressed through the centuries and now shows itself as it truler is at its core--a devouring, undermining influence against civilization.

(You'll note the Republican focus on women's bodies: they worship the feminine in an unhealthy way. Pope-ishness now rises and helps uplift archetypes such as Isis, Lilith, Innana, and the rest of the haggish icons (hags and shrews, when their energies are perverted by mortal men who think themselves 'gods' on earth...puh! Plus, in transit, Uranus burst into US natal 4th house of Domestic Scene in 2010 at Aries Point (AP = our national IC, The Drain)--get outta my house, Utopians! And take your socio-pathic 'vision' with you.)

So! Since Republicans are not Saturnian 'Conservatives' nor are they 'conservative' what could be their modus operandi? It's Damn the Torpedoes, 'burn down the house' to achieve 'success at all and any cost' for Machiavelli would agree this is the winning hand in Politics (though I've always said that cheating isn't winning, it's stealing). Yet with Saturn now traversing Scorpio (Mars-Pluto) and the intense, forceful, big money, corporate vibes contained therein, they have manager/lawmaker Saturn's status quo influence within them as well for everyone and every group (and event) acts under influences of all the signs at all times.

Then we look to the Democratic Party as having the same 12-sign opportunities to shine or to disrupt and its natal link to the American people is primarily through US natal Moon 27AQ10, We the People. The party acts under motherly vibes as we see with the charge by the GOP that the Democrats are the "nanny party." Well, yes, actually the Astrology of the matter supports this; plus, the Republican Party's natal Sun (ego; life goal, purpose, essence) conjoined in perpetuity to US natal Sun in Cancer (13Can19) is 'daddy' and everyone knows 'his' love must be conditional. Then lo and behold! Fixed Star Sirius (aka, Isis) conjoins both Suns.

As you see, there is deep symbolism here--beware! With Astrology you are able to lift the rock of Politics and peek in amazement at the dark, squirmy creatures and the secrets that scurry underneath!

America's natal Sun Cancer-Moon Aquarius blend may be of interest to a few readers if you don't have the info already: this is a Water (intuitional plane; emotions, 'gut feelings', but also business and home loving; Cancer is a tribal sign, and this Caucasian tribe o'mine (with some bohemian gypsy and Cherokee tossed in, I'm told) must be jittery in some quarters, elated in others at the sight of today's video/TV views of the joyous tribal celebrations of the life of Nelson Mandela, their primary icon of heroism and rescue from oppression!

As the psychopaths at least partially described by Fixed Star Denebola (to go against society), the miscreants we discussed above long for nothing if not for conflict and war--global chaos and war. In Politics, Denebola echoes the call of Uranus, America's planet of war, revolution, and disruption. And yet look at the Sistine Chapel's dome for the Sky God, Ouronos, also provides humankind with brilliant ideas, genius, and happy surprises--and my own 10th house Uranus in Gemini prefers that, thanks! Oh, and a sovereign America--without the corrupt Machiavellians who pull the global strings of discord and misery to the masses.

The autumn season begins in this hemisphere on September 22, 2013 at 4:44:09 pm edt with Sun 00Lib00:00 in the 8th house in the horoscope set for Washington DC. In Washington, issues of debt ceilings and government shutdowns are on the agenda and the calendar with September 30th being the end of America's fiscal year, as you know. In 1st house are nebulous Neptune of The Masses and The Media, still traveling near Chiron, the Wounded Healer, who expresses the astrological archetype of Christ. Spiritual opportunities inspired by this duo are still available for those who long to experience and benefit from them. And a 1st house Neptune, with its implications of large events beyond personal control, denote possibilities for loss from floods, storms, contagions, and other damages to ourselves and the environment.

At 4:44:09 pm edt, 8AQ00 rises, making Saturn the chart-ruler (and autumn season ruler), along with Aquarius' sub-ruler, Uranus, the Awakener, the Witness, and the Anarchist. Conservative Saturn @9Sco09 rules the 12th house of Politics and Karma but is posited in the 9th house of Foreign Lands, Higher Education, and Philosophy. Meanwhile, quirky Uranus @10Ari57 Rx is in 2nd house of the National Treasury, Values, and Earning Ability where some disruption may be expected in all or some of these areas--not that Uranus ever delivers precisely what is expected. Even monetary improvement cannot be ruled out especially since changeable Mercury rules the 8th house and is posited there @20Lib59, sign of balance.

And yet reluctantly I must mention that chart-rulers Saturn and Uranus are inconjunct (150 degr = adjustment) one another making tweaks necessary if the brilliant, innovative ideas of genius Uranus are to be successfully poured into Saturnian form where they are able to function on the physical plane.

Note: you undoubtedly remember that on Election Day 2008, Saturn and Uranus opposed one another and a big debate then was, is Obama a status quo conservative or a progressive? I think most people now agree that he's more a status quo guy with his natal Saturn in its own sign of Capricorn when it comes to Capitalism--and lo and behold, here's fem-challenged, market-deregulating Larry Summers near the front of the line for the Fedhead job! See Ezra Klein's Do You Trust Larry Summers or Janet Yellen to Police Wall Street? How about neither? Both are agents of foreign banking houses just like most of the compromised politicians in Washington DC! My suspicion is that a mystery board of directors in the City of London will be The Deciders on who America's next chairman of the Fed will be.

The Saturn-Uranus inconjunct (or, quincunx, if you prefer) indicates stress in relationships, tension between 'old vs new', and priorities that are difficult to establish. Plus, new methods brought forth may be resented before they are accepted. Yet attempting to hold on to old concepts will not work very well this autumn and a more positive reaction to change and innovation must prevail for no one--even Republicans--can stop progress entirely, even if the proposed reforms seem to threaten security. Yet somehow we must work toward changes and improvements that increase productivity, which will be one way to ascertain that beneficial progress will result from Autumn 2013's efforts.

The reforms and improvements I mention here remind me of the movement to lessen the wide-ranging collection of Americans' private communications data (Uranus = technology; freedom, Saturn = government; law; control) which, if the US surveillance state will comply with our wishes, can only lead to more productivity for the collectors when it comes to mining data of actual criminals and terrorists (assuming that stopping terrorist attacks is their real goal--though keeping tabs on political opponents must have occurred to them as a bonus, a la Nixon, yes? My years of residency in our nation's capital taught me several things--one, that DC politics as currently practiced does not function without blackmail.)

Just a note on the day before America's Independence Day 2012 to wish everyone Happy Independence Day, America's official birthday! Around here we'll bow to tradition with a turkey burger cook-out though any sort of meat is seldom a first-choice for my family so I guess that makes it a special and somewhat nostalgic treat of sorts. How about you? Will you be passing the mustard or perhaps the ketchup?

The Natal Horoscope of Grover Norquist, Political Strategist

Mother Jones has an article on the eerie influence of Grover Norquist which prompted me to have a peek at his (noon) natal horoscope.

And here's a very interesting profile of him which includes his links to Jack Abramoff and Iraqi oil, among other things. And Speaker John Boehner just called Norquist "Some random person" when asked about closing tax loopholes for the oil industry.

Born on October 19, 1956 in Sharon, PA, Grover Norquist, president of Americans for Tax Reform (founded 1985) and co-founder of the Islamic Free Market Institute, has Sun in Libra, and Moon in Aries if born before 7:07 pm est on that date.

If born after 7:07 pm, his personality takes on a Sun Libra/Moon Taurus hue but odds are, Norquist is a Sun Libra/Moon Aries blend, born near the Full Moon either way.

Here are the earliest and latest positions of the Sun and Moon on the date of his birth:

Earliest: Sun 25Lib47; Moon 19Ari31--Latest: Sun 26Lib47; Moon 2Tau41.

Since his birth time is unknown, the following analysis is based on a noon chart which shows 00Cap17 rising with 24Lib27 at Midheaven (w stars Arcturus and Spica); Hour of Mars. Midpoint pictures included in this post are in effect no matter his birth time.

With nebulous Neptune @ 00Sco00, anti-tax warrior Norquist has an out-of-sign Sun/Neptune conjunction which is similar to having lots of Pisces energy in a chart (fishy!) especially in the realms of ego and life goals (Sun.) Naturally, Neptune has a masking effect upon the Sun's vitality and helps describe the behind-the-scenes nature of Mr. Norquist's political career and activities.

You may find of interest another article The Banishment of Grover Norquist which addresses just such Sun/Neptune issues. (Banishment is a Neptunian word along with veiling, masking, hiding, and such. Fraudulent, false, and idealistic would be others, along with his "drown it in a bathtub" quote!)

Yes, he's quite the watery, elusive varmint!

Sun conj Neptune gives him a 'veiled outlook on life' which allows Norquist to avoid unpleasant challenges as he easily as he ignores personal responsibilities. A personal reality is created in his mind--or by his mind--which bears little resemblance to facts as others understand them. Living in a self-created bubble is often another way to describe Sun-Neptune folk, so working in Politics, can spin be far behind?

And isn't a 'personal reality bubble' one of the tactics Republicans (and other politicians) use all the time when 'answering' questions as if on a totally different plane--or instead, they answer questions they wish had been asked? Perhaps Mr. Norquist's method through use of talking points is in evidence here for he's been at it for years starting with Nixon's 1968 campaign.

Supporting his Sun/Neptune traits is natal Mars in Pisces (13;43; ruled by Jupiter and Neptune) conjoining Fixed Star Achernar ('crisis at the end of the river; risk of rapid endings'.) Mars in Pisces is challenged to act directly and be clear in his motivations; unconscious resentments are harbored and repressed anger can lead to neuroses. Direct confrontations are avoided, as with Sun/Neptune, and secret means are used against opponents. Others may not trust him as he'd wish.

Any negative aspects in a chart intensifies problems when Mars is in watery Pisces--here, Mars is sesquisquare Sun and Neptune and is opposed by Venus 15Vir40. A Venus/Mars opposition is problematic as well and tends to create relationship troubles particularly in the realm of sexual expression. All oppositions carry Self v Others vibes (Ari/Lib axis) and indicates that Mr. Norquist's feelings are extremely sensitive and easily hurt--plus, conflicts arise over joint finances.

There's also a wide opposition between Mars and Jupiter 21Vir32 (conjunct Fixed Star Denebola, keywords: 'to go against society; out of the mainstream'--which has a Neptunian otherworldly/escapist tone to it.) However, a politics-inspired Mars/Jupiter opposition tends to seek out challenges, take risks, and may resent people who are deemed to be somehow superior. Grandstand plays come naturally!

Another politically interesting factor in Mr. Norquist's natal chart is a Saturn/Pluto square--the 'sore loser' aspect. This energy also describes the Republican Party seen in high relief with their obstructionism against President Obama. This cuss'ed square is part of Dick Cheney's Neptunian personality as well--if you will.

A Saturn/Pluto square person tends to be defensive toward social responsibilities which are viewed as obstacles to their self-interested goals. (And if you're a neocon warmonger, you want all the funds you can get to start wars you can hugely profit from while ignoring the basic needs of the American people. And promote expansion of the one-world-government Utopian Globalists are so determined to force upon us. Sad to say, it's pretty much already here.)

Another political factor is Norquist's Uranus/Chiron opposition which identifies him as what I tend to call a Chiron-Uranus type in government. Falling across the Leo (Uranus)--Aquarius (Chiron) axis of Self Will, this opposition denotes that he may be quite a cantankerous cuss, but with an outer demeanor that's Neptunian and squishy. His behavior (shown by the sign of Uranus) is proudly Leo, sign of the natural ruler.

A helpful Saturn/Uranus trine is great for it gives him a container (Saturnian form) in which to pour his Uranian ideals with ease and the talent to mobilize all his resources, knowledge, and experience. Good intuition allows him to take calculated risks and the trine provides him with leadership ability.

Mercury, planet of thinking processes, oration style, communication, and planning tactics, is @ 10Lib52 and conjoins his Syzygy Moon (last lunation prior to birth) which in this case was a New Moon, so Sun/Moon = Mercury: using education and reasoning to progress through life; searching for opportunities to apply knowledge; an association with young people.

An Air trine between Mercury to Chiron in Aquarius makes him a 'wise old soul' with occultist abilities and healing talent (Clow.) This trine and the opposition to Uranus are the two major aspects made to natal Chiron.

Now with Moon opposing Sun, whether in Aries or Taurus, natal Pluto 29Leo59 (conjunct Royal Star of Persia, Regulus ('success if revenge is avoided'--otherwise, all that's gained will be taken away one day) is the Thales planet in the chart for it trines Moon and sextiles Sun, thus aiding the opposition between the luminaries.

Having occultist talents, Mr. Norquist has managed to use Thales Pluto to his advantage in the stand-off between Sun (conscious) and Moon (unconscious), and, of course, saboteur Pluto has a great interest in the intrigues and power plays of Politics.

And with Moon opposed by Neptune, well, then escapist tendencies are increased, and sensitivity is deepened; illusions are created about the self and others which can cause much confusion and estrangements in relationships, and this can make working alone preferable. America would profit if only he could remember that The Ideal is an illusion that does not exist in this old world! But I suppose his Saturn/Uranus trine keeps hoping and thinks it knows best for all of us.

As far as his authority planet, Saturn, goes, you see a Saturn/North Node conjunction, the source of much of his control. This is an indicator of conservatism with observance of protocol important for approaching those in power. This timing ability has helped him to further his personal advancement but at the expense of enslavement to the lowest common denominator of accepted standards (Sakoian.) Saturnian control/authority is 'on his path' (NN.)

NN 29Sco17 (a critical-crisis 29th degree) has an interesting Sabian Symbol especially considering Mr. Norquist's past association with Ronald Reagan: '30Sco' = "A Halloween Jester". Reminds me of the Carter-Reagan October Surprise (Iranian hostages were released mere minutes after Reagan was inaugurated---was Grover involved in the charade and its arms deals?)

(Astro-note: 29Sco45 is the Inauguration 2009's Moon--we the people--degree which shows that the American people were already in dire financial circumstances the moment that Barack Obama took office--Scorpio = big business; betrayals.)

Now here are Grover's natal midpoint pictures which do not depend on knowing his exact time of birth; as always, any, all, or none may apply:

Jupiter/Uranus = Pluto: strong awareness of objectives; an unusual striving for knowledge; far-seeing creative activity; a sudden change in financial conditions; extreme efforts to produce novel changes in life; a major reworking of designs/ideas to ensure their correct acceptance; devices with world-transforming potential.

Jupiter/Saturn = Sun: dreaming of a potential for actuality; demonstrating leadership; gaining experience; boasting; self-pride; liver disturbances cause moodiness; the bachelor.

Sun/Uranus = Venus: peculiar encouragements in financial pursuits; unique ways of expressing love.

Jupiter/Neptune = Mercury: misleading/misdirecting others' attention; talking a lot; putting on an act; raised hopes; skills with deceptive practices; self-study of magic or mysticism. (Jupiter-Neptune is the grand schemes-speculation-inflationary pair of planets; Mercury is thinking and plans--a perfect combo for a Utopian Globalist planning chaos for the world to be ruled by 'reason'--their own, not ours.)

Jupiter/NN = Sun: ease of contact with important people of power and influence; joining and benefiting from powerful, distinguished societies (he attended Harvard.)

In the noon chart, Jupiter/NN sits at MC (The Goal; Aspirations; Public Standing) which adds a 'career/pursuit of common interests' vibe to the picture as 'important people of power and influence' aid his career aspirations.


Norquist's Pre-Natal Eclipse Series (PE) = 12 South

Grover Norquist was born into the 12 South Saros Series of Solar Eclipses which manifested on June 8, 1956 @ 18Gem01, the zodiacal degree of the December 10, 2011 Lunar Eclipse (the next-up eclipse for us all.)

12S = successful outcomes to long term worries; a draining issue will suddenly clear with a good outcome (paraphrasing Brady's Predictive Astrology.)

(A SN eclipse indicates a loss of energy in affected matters.)

By degree (18Gemo1/11), the December 10th Lunar Eclipse may signify secrets or scandals being revealed concerning Mr. Norquist and may relate to this year into 2012, and/or to a time frame when the 12S last manifested on July 11, 2010 @ '19Can' (which marked the blown-up or blown-out BP well's finally being 'capped' in the Gulf of Mexico--but it's leaking, you know.)

Why, you may remember that back in the day, Grover Norquist was a registered lobbyist for BP! (scroll to end of page.)

Now you may wish to view the horoscope of the December 10, 2011 Lunar Eclipse which is squared by Mars in Virgo. As such, a 'Grand Cross' is formed for the eclipse marks a Mars-opposite-natal-Mars transit for Mr. Norquist describing a time when other people's actions and purposes are diametrically opposed to one's own, and any aggression shown is met by an equal or greater amount of determination so he'll want to lay low behind the scenes even more than usual--if the revealing energies of the December 10, 2011 Lunar Eclipse allow such escapism!


To close, here's Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) on the 1st of November making a statement about obstructionist Republicans who follow Grover Norquist like puppets. Perhaps it's his hypnotic, mystical Sun/Neptune with a Saturn/Pluto square keeping the Rs in goose-step!

Hope he was royally wumped out from doing so much 'work'.)

Ode to Independence Day 2011

"Perhaps it's time to shut down $17 billion worth of money going for reconstruction projects, when our track record really stinks," Senator Claire McCaskill (D-Missouri) asserted on Thursday.

And if I'd found a visual of the June 30, 2011 hearing already posted in the
C-SPAN Video Library in case you missed appreciating Senator Claire McCaskill's justified performance on the subcommittee (one of many chaired by McCaskill on the topic of waste), the video would be added here but I may have tried too soon.

The formidable lady once again is not hearing the answers she wants and seems to be unimpressed with the unaccountability factor so rampant whenever Pentagon and private contractors toss in their lots with the US Department of Defense, the big-daddy bank roller in our messy Mesopotamian Occupations.

Among those called upon this week to testify as to who's in charge of our financial fiasco overseas, an Oath of Un-Accountability seems to have been taken yet perhaps McCaskill's pointed questioning will cause a majority of the American people to insist that Saturn's lessons of accountability and frugality be honored as August 28, 2011 nears. This date brings orbiting Saturn's return to sign and degree in America's natal chart of July 4, 1776 (14Lib48) and is under girding the current Debt Ceiling 'crisis' on Capitol Hill and the global financial results if the US defaults on her debts for the first time in our nation's history.

Can you imagine that the ones now driving the Washington jalopy of government want that little item of default to appear on their precious political resumes? They're total dolts, if they do.


Electric Uranus, the Brilliant Awakener

As you know, INDEPENDENCE and FREEDOM are words and concepts from the realm of planet Uranus, discovered by William Herschel in 1781 at a time betwixt the American and the French Revolutions, with US natal Uranus @ 8Gemini55 and ruled by Mercury.

(Q: can lower octave Mercury be said to 'rule' a sign of higher octave Uranus' placement? Hmm. Perhaps. As a pair, the combo of tech-savvy Mercury/Uranus = Thesis: business groups formed for purposes of initiating policies; labor coalitions or unions at work; modernization in transportation networks; Antithesis: riots, protests, strikes, or rebellions start due to ambitious goals that are ill-explained or undefined; reforms cause disruptions in transportation systems; use of propaganda in emergency situations. - M. Munkasey.)

Actually, I often think of Uranus as America's 'totem planet' or 'cosmic mascot' due in part to the centuries-long use of such slogans as the iconoclast and reformer inspires (exs: "Give me liberty, or give me death!" - Patrick Henry; our beloved 'freedom documents', etc.)

As in any horoscope, the sign of Uranus describes basic behavior, and we, as a nation and a populace, generally behave as if we're merely a bunch of youth-idolizing, never-grow-old, communicating, sometimes duplicitous, of-two-minds, quick-witted yet superficial Geminis, sign of the Jack of All Trades, and The Trickster. Meanwhile, our Saturn Return demands maturity!

Interestingly, transiting Hermes, aka, the trickster, magician, and alchemist, now sojourns beside traveler Uranus in early Aries! And Ebertin gives Uranus in Aries as, Utopians, which may well describe the sectarians who now force their slight-of-hand ideology upon congressional legislation on Capitol Hill in order to gum up the wheels of government. As you know, neocon Utopians want to drown all government (except for their own brand of anarchy) in a big'ole bath tub.

Uranus brings the chaos!

So this post is meant to be my Ode to Independence Day 2011 and I hope that if you've not yet witnessed or read Senator McCaskill's questions and remarks to certain contractors and others associated with construction projects in Afghanistan, you'll check it out with a sense of the true "Spirit of '76" as we may express it in 2011.

And I'm sending out a prayer for the future of our nation on this Fourth of July, a future without the throttling of life and the thievery of our treasury by the military industrial complex and their in-cahoots operatives and bankers, parasites as they be.

America's Scorpio Rising horoscope July 4, 1776 2:21 pm LMT Philadelphia, PA

As noted, this chart is useful as a natal horoscope for America (visit Michael O'Reilly's Neptune Cafe for more info - he champions this chart), or as a Spying Agencies horoscope timed by our first postmaster - aka, spymaster - Benjamin Franklin smiling enigmatically upon the US 100-dollar-bill as the Hour is shown upon the face of Independence Hall Clock, Philadelphia, just behind Old Ben, the Uranian genius.

As for the exact time for setting up a Scorpio Rising horoscope, I'd use 2:21, or 2:22, if you wish; however, adding up the digits, '6' was not, as far as I know, considered an auspicious number in the 18th century whereas '5' possesses different vibes all together, then as now. For '5' is in the quintile family of aspects - 72/144 degrees (talent.) The amiable Ben Franklin was an astrologer, Freemason, Rosicrucian, doctor, scientist, inventor, money printer, almanac publisher, and who knows what else, really.)

Plus, my point is that Dr. Franklin organized our early gaggle of scouts and spies into a more cohesive network of surveillance operatives. And my, how their web has grown.

No chart details are given today (for our holiday weekend is here!) But if you wish to read a few brief notes previously published concerning the US Scorpio Rising chart (the above image is shown there as well), then of course you freely may.

You'll find that the post focuses on the hidden square which appears in any version of the US natal chart you choose to use: 256 degrees between Uranus and Neptune, the enlightened ones. This aspect has an unconscious flavor which is why it's "hidden" so at first, some Americans may experience a 'that's not me!' or 'that's not us!" reaction. But if you will, let its implications and assertions sink in especially considering the dire circumstances our society is dealing with for Independence Day 2011 - and considering that it's the citizens of GREECE protesting Saturn's austerity cuts in the streets while we-the-people lounge next to our hamburger grills, freedom fries supposedly on our menus.

Yet it's only fair to say that for individuals and for nations, troubles are often self-created - especially when Congress continually neglects its oversight duties - what Senator McCaskill tries to improve upon - while leaders lie us into ill-advised wars begun with Jupiter the General retrograde, a sure signal of a war with a bottomless money pit, and no clear victor left standing.

Now either America is a government of-by-for The People, or she isn't.

The decision as to which one we'll have "going forward" has now plopped upon our national plate like a slice of birthday cake baked by the universal law of karma for everyone must reap what they sow. Even politicians and their chaos-mongering sponsors are not outside natural law as they grandly imagine themselves to be.

So in the Spirit of '76, I'll close with a paraphrase of what progressive broadcaster Thom Hartmann says at the end of each of his shows, and let that 'do':
