And here is an excerpt from the suppressed footage of the damage done to the Japanese people. The horrific death and suffering of women and children failed to keep the culpable Mr. Truman from his slumbers but the annihilation of Hirsohima and Nagasaki has always seemed to me to be one (only one!) of America's greatest sins for the US government roared like a dragon in heat and millions paid the price of Truman's Abomination Extravaganza:

Here is a view of the natal chart of the Hiroshima Bombing, August 6, 1945 8:15 am JST and among other things, you'll notice that on that date warring Mars conjoined US natal Uranus 8Gem55 (taking a non-traditional approach, new techniques, explosions, danger in the environment) and expansive adventurer Jupiter had recently transited US natal Neptune (illusion, pretense, paranoia, fanaticism.)

Plus, today's position of Jupiter conjoins the Uranus position of August 6, 1945 @16Gem29 (unpredictable inspirations, group causes taken up, financial investments prosper, and Astrology is beneficial) and the Bombing's Midheaven (The Goal--objectives take a major new direction, significant alteration of lifestyle.)

There are a few midpoint pictures in the Hiroshima Bombing horoscope which cry out to be mentioned while we're on the topic so I'll close this fuss with them and a Jon Stewart video.

The first involves the Uranus-Neptune pair, planets of The Enlightenment (well, they certainly lit up Japan, didn't they?), which last met in Great Conjunction/s three times on or around '18Cap' in 1993 and their Oct 24 meeting times a natal chart of the New World Order (which is actually what we're discussing here like a silent, sinister program running in the background.) The Sabian Symbol for '18Cap' = POLITICAL POWER; neg: smug or strong-armed paternalism--MEJ.

Another midpoint picture spotlights President Truman (because he was US president at the time) by its degree--13Can13 (conj US natal Sun)--and because Uranus conjoined MC as the Bomb dropped (within a 1-minute orb), so there's another midpoint of plutonian power @13Can13 as well:

Uranus-Neptune = Pluto @9Leo57: the big picture commands a certain course of action which must be followed, very little option to do otherwise; great losses, calamities, catastrophes.

Uranus-Pluto = US natal Sun: revolution; urge for independence (by the Man From Independence); breakdown; catastrophe.

Pluto-MC = US n Sun: wanting to spread one's wings and fly; eager for excitement; major life change is illuminated; desire for power and authority.

And of course there are revelations shown by the MC-Uranus-Mars trio at The Goal Point of the chart involving the hotheaded, rebellious, forceful pair of Mars-Uranus:

Below I shall post a tiny smidgeon of astro-details concerning the sharp political analyst and progressive, Stephanie Miller, by considering the signs of her Sun-Moon blend of energies which may help describe her whacky and talented personality. And I mean whacky in a good way for if we don't laugh uproariously at what these political geezers and whippersnappers now infesting Washington DC are up to, then we'll cry and if we cry, we'll feel disheartened, and if we feel disheartened, we'll stay home from voting booths on November 6th, and if we stay home from voting booths on November 6th, corporate agents and backers of special interests will decide many pertinent matters that We the People should be deciding for ourselves without interference from outside or homegrown meddlers following some crazy Utopian dream so old it's gone gray around the muzzle.

Election Day Mercury Rx starts early w Voter Fraud in FL

The RNC has cut ties with one of Nathan Sproul's voter registration services which the GOP hired at a cost of millions, and they say they've parted ways due to faked listings of voters' names and addresses.

Looks like the recent Nodal Half Return of the Republican Party is showing itself as well since partnerships and alliances that aren't strong enough to stand some strain may be broken off when the transiting North Node of the Moon--the Head of the Dragon--meets the Tail of the Dragon as described by the separative South Node!

Recent grouses and critiques by Republicans against Mitt Romney and his presidential campaign are along Nodal Half Return lines, too. But never fret: Mitt can manage any criticism because he says, "I've got broad shoulders."

Guess I failed to notice the impressive width of Mittens' shoulders because I've been focused on the off-key, none-too-bright, tone deaf remarks coming out of his mouth by way of his Piscean Mercury. Please tell me that someone has explained to Mitt by now why airplane windows don't open!

Since I live in Georgia I have no idea if Republican candidate Chris Stewart is a "certified nutcase" as some who know him have claimed. So I leave it to you, dear reader, to make up your own mind about this 'end time' author with big political (aka, power) dreams whose theologically based conclusions are subject to interpretation.

Horoscope: Autumn Equinox in Washington DC

Below you see the Autumn Equinox 2012 chart (aka, Libra Ingress) set for our nation's capital with the Eagle Point rising @15Sco41 and contentious Mars @19Sco52 soon to follow. North Node (NN) 27Sco49 rises as well and is a favorable indicator in 1st house with its Jupiterian, connective flavors. This NN conjoins President Obama's natal Midheaven, and candidate Romney's natal Moon-Jupiter conjunction spotlighting the ongoing 2012 campaign season and the encounters the public will soon have through the October debates and Election Day, November 6th.

With intense Scorpio rising, the chart's ruler is the 1st house Mars and the highstakes contests so far seen in the presidential and House races are well-noted by anyone with access to media. Sub-ruler Pluto 6Cap58 is in 2nd house of our National Treasury, Earning Ability, and Values so plutonian transformation--and secretive, hidden wealth--are in play within these areas, as we know.

We-the-People's Moon 27Sag21 is in 2nd house as well denoting our monetary concerns but also showing fluctuations, changes, and possibly more instability in financial areas--things can go up, down, or alternate. Actually, Mars makes no major (Ptolemaic) aspects to another planet yet there is a complex, interlocked relationship between Mars and disruptive, progressive, technological Uranus @6Ari14 Rx in 5th H of Risk-Taking and Gambling and it's a dynamic sesquisquare (135 degr) which can express positively or negatively. A minor irritant exists between Mars, the god of war, and his co-ruler Mr. Hades, the spy--a semisquare (2A05) which will probably play out most obviously in the 6th H of Service (Police, Military, Civic), Health, and Work. Mars is at a traditionally malevolent degree ('19Sco'), aka, Serpentis, which compels those affected toward misfortune; ASC also brings up South Scale with its several negative potentials such as theft, betrayal, abuse, poison, drowning, revenge, and all-around criminality.

Being the slowest moving planet in our solar system, we can't say that Pluto 'applies' but Mr. Underworld does contact both luminaries: a square to the Libra Ingress Sun 00:00:00 (6A58) and a conjunction to the Moon (9A36); Sun (the leader) SQ Pluto supports the Mars-Pluto indications above, and shows willfulness and a might-makes-right attitude whic tends to strike first in order to retain control of others; it's an aspect of executive and managerial ability as well and with a Sun-ruled Leo Midheaven @24:47 (conjunct President Obama's natal Uranus-NN political duo) we may expect to become very aware of these potentials as Election Day draws near.

Moon conjoining powerful Pluto suggests that the public re-evaluates the country's 2nd H financial conditions and our basic ideals as we look for the elusive "perfect" candidates to vote for (Moon-Pluto has a public relations vibe) concerning our deeply felt opinions about topics such as crime, war, secrecy, terrorism, and available resources on our minds. Ex: why do we destroy the infrastructure of other nations and pay heavily to rebuild them when our politicians--our alledged 'representatives'--block such neglected improvements and projects here in our country which would also create American jobs by the thousands? Are they daft, or are we?

Okay, sorry, I digressed a bit...

A word should be added about monied Jupiter @16Gem08 (conjunct the position of the June 5, 2012 Venus Transit of 'paternalism') so finances, Big Business (and with Scorpio rising), internet concerns (Gemini), ideology (Jupiter), generalships, broadcasting, and expansion of the Fed and other systemic institutions are part of our Autumn 2012 picture with Jupiter ruling 2nd H of the US Treasury and 5th H of Risk-Taking (27Pis08, a Jupiter-Neptune inflationary, bubbly affair.)

Plus, nebulous, watery Neptune in its own sign of Pisces 00:59 Rx is found in the 4th H of Domestic Scene, Homeland, and End of the Matter---flooding may occur once more, and perhaps the uptick in the US housing market recently reported is but a ruse or an illusion made necessary prior to Election 2012--hopefully not for I do prefer that my fellow Americans have decent, dry homes to live in, don't you? Yet Sun and Neptune are inconjunct, with Neptune conjoining US Secondary Progressed Descendant (Partnerships) which hints that President Obama (Sun) may find himself bogged down by trivial considerations and harmed through the deception of others whom he'd prefer to work with--yes, the exploitation and scapegoating between political parties continues as burdens are unloaded upon the wrong people in order to deflect culpability and guilt. (But check out Neptune's positive aspect to Saturn, below!)

Why, even Mitt Romney's father was temporarily On Welfare once upon a time, in spite of Mitt's entitled, holier-than-thou attitude toward the 47% of us he considers to be beneath him! Guess America's social safety net programs can be of great benefit after all, hmm?

Now the 12th H (Politics) authoritative Saturn's sign-ruler, Venus, planet of money, values, and relationships, is posited in 9th H of Foreign Lands, Philosophy, Religion, and Higher Education and is placed @17Leo44 and in Mutual Reception (on friendly terms) with the Libra Ingress Sun in 11th H of Groups and Associations (Venus = Secretary of State Clinton?); Mercury 9Lib44 is in 11th H as well which denotes diplomatic gestures and associations, and much travel through them, both here and abroad. Will our gestures be well received? In part, yes (Venus sextile Jupiter) yet testy Mars and Venus are square one another so obstacles, delays, and frustrations are on the menu though perhaps most of the interference stems from DC partisans and agents with axes to grind.

As for Saturn, still exalted in Libra but headed soon for business-oriented Scorpio, he's working behind the scenes of the 12th H of Karma where he reaps what he sows, as do we all. This Saturn has a strong sense of duty and conscientiously fulfills them in Libra, sign of The Diplomat, plus, there's a nice sextile with the Moon (we the people: managerial abilities, good judgment, and empathy), plus, a trine from Saturn to Neptune which provides wisdom and insight.

Well, it isn't often I manage to type the words "wisdom and insight" in a horoscope set for Washington DC, is it? Yet is a Saturn-Neptune trine enough to counter, or at least mitigate, the forceful Mars-Pluto energies taking early command in this chart and ruling our Autumnal season? If experienced, 'cooler heads' prevail we may hope so and with Saturn ruling the 3rd H of Communications we shall at least learn of wiser solutions for thorny problems.

As always, getting Washington politicians, partisans, lobbyists, and government subversives to cooperate with a solutions-based program for the America they're working so hard to undermine and control will be the real trick.

Update 9.23.12: sad to report that baby panda cub has died. Did I see this in its natal horoscope (detailed below)? Well, Sun in Virgo did put a newborn's health front and center plus, there were hints in the rest of the chart that I didn't detail because I wanted to celebrate the positive, not mention the negative, in an attempt to be optimistic about the little fellow. Baby pandas are so fragile!

Tiny Panda Cub Born in Washington DC's National Zoo!

Thanks to a kind reader, a link to the Washington Post article giving the birth time of the newbie panda cub born in DC's National Zoo has been sent along! Born Sunday night (9.16.12) at 10:26 pm edt, this baby panda is about as sweet as can be and its innocence belies the usual political corruption, greed, lies, secret deals, and power plays that issue from the swamp that is Washington DC, one of my former cities of residence.

Speaking of the zoo, did I ever tell you that I lived near the National Zoo at one point and could hear the echoes of monkeys vocalizing every morning from my kitchen window? Living back in my homestate of Georgia these many moons, I now hear only the whoops and calls of monkeys of the two-legged variety as they seek to control and/or undermine what's allegedly your and my government.

And as a 'child of the Revolution', this grumps me up no end. You?

Why Does Mitt Run? Or, The Love of Money Really Is the Root of All Evil

Yes, America's welfare society is an awful thing especially when our nation has been gutted for decades by Those Who Would Privatize social institutions for their own profit and gain. But to me, a welfare society isn't as awful as allowing American citizens, women, children, the disabled, the elderly, and the disenfranchised from their jobs and their homes to wander our streets and huddle under bridges until death takes them by the hand and gets them out of the way of Social Darwinists and Objectivists like Romney, Paul Ryan, the Koch Brothers, and their comrades in arms, both here and abroad.

Below, you may hear the opinion of Mitt 'Mr. Offshore to China' Romney on the abstract (for him) topic of America's poor and struggling ones and how he knows they'll automatically vote for Barack Obama. Well, duh.

So thanks, Mother Jones for secretly recording this well-heeled heel with a corporate bottomline for a heart:

Astro-Note: as you may know, I've typed quite a bunch here on Mitt Romney's natal planets in Pisces, sign of the Two Fish which can either swim upward toward a Higher Purpose, or downward toward selfish materialism and ultimate loss. Pisces can be creatively inspired and compassionate or the victimizer of anyone he sees as beneath him in the ocean of life while indulging a penchant for negative escapism into sailing mode, horse dabbling, or whatever past time holds social status for him or that creates more wealth.

Tax-dodger Romney was born on March 12, 1947 when Sun, Mercury, and Mars were in Pisces which is ruled by wealthy corporation-forming Jupiter and sub-ruled by fraudulent yet sometimes inspired Neptune. Therefore, Mr. Romney thinks, plans, and communicates like a nebulous Pisces (Mercury), acts and begins things like a Pisces (Mars), and has a Piscean personality, ego, essence, and purpose (Sun) which describes what the American people will get if he somehow fishily finagles the presidency. And with natal Moon and Jupiter closely conjoined in corporate, big business, secretive, controlling Scorpio, Mitt's emotional needs are highly conflated with such Scorpionic, Jupiterian themes where there are no limits to his vision.

Yes, Mitt the Fish sure is angling for the Oval Office and salivating over all the goodies that come with it!

Astrologically, we may take the 2010 conjunction to the Aries Point (00Ari00, a World Point of Manifestation) by political revolutionary and rebel Uranus in Mars-ruled Aries as zealots and radical 'Utopians', as Reinhold Ebertin describes in his book The Combination of Stellar Influences. And, of course, Uranus remains in one sign of the Zodiac for approximately seven years. Perhaps you'll agree that this astro-description covers folks of the Tea Party Movement (co-opted by corporate interests such as the Koch Brothers--'blind zealots'), and simultaneously the Occupy Movement. One group wants genuine and beneficial change for society, and the other is faking it on that score and is determined to implement and shove dire conditions, austerity, misery, and an Ayn-Randesque "survival of the fittest" government that rides roughshod over the lives of all non-wealthy American people--particularly the weak, elderly, ill, and poor among us. And the austerity would affect rank and file Tea Party members, too--now won't they be surprised if their favorite radical Utopians get their sinister way?

So! November 6th soon cometh--which America do You prefer to live in?

And non-amusingly for those of us who prefer a sovereign, intact United States of America and working, honorable Congress, we can use the one-year-for-one-degree method for insight into the present condition of Congress: 225 years = 225 degrees = 7 signs (7 x 30) + 15 degrees = '15 Scorpio' (= year 2012) which in Sabian Symbols is quite descriptive of the negative, shadow side of how most of Congress behaves itself these days:

As the second issue of Stars Over Washingotn Monthly is being typed, my natal Mercury in Capricorn is naturally busy studying many political horoscopes and keeping up as best I can during this fast-paced period with all the Politics I can manage to watch, read, and consider--all provinces of Mercury.

Election Day 2012 (November 6) with its Mercury Station Retrograde has been noted here on this blog and well-analyzed by many other astrologers for we all see trouble ahead with astrological Mercury so intimately connected to such things as voting, decisions, communications, thinking processes, considerations, ideas, plans, agreements, and voting machines which can be tampered with. Even in the fairest of elections, it is, after all, he who counts the votes who determines the winner.

Yes, Mercury in his trickster guise is obviously desperate to win the race and is definitely up to something, can you feel it in the air? The wings on his sandals flutter wildly in the political breeze and Mercury's wing'ed helmet is strapped tightly in place for the climb!

As previously noted, Mercury's Rx Station on Election Day 2012 falls at 4Sag18, directly opposing President Obama's natal Moon 3Gem21 (in natal 4th house) and I have made suggestions in previous posts of what this and other astrological factors on that day may indicate for the president's re-election bid and have rather mildly asserted that the outcome for Mr. Obama doesn't look as good as I personally might prefer (common-gooder and populist as I am. No plutocrat-lovers around here!)

Remaining stationary (seemingly at standstill) all of November 6 until 6:03:47 pm est (as per SolarFire Gold v8) when the Speedy One reverses gear is a sign of strength for the celestial body I tend to call the Tofu Planet because Mercury tends to pick up the flavors of whatever planet or planets in a horoscope it contacts. A Jack-n-Jill of all trades is The Youthful planet, servant to the gods, messenger, and bringer of Good (or sometimes bad) News.

But with Political Astrology, placing all threads into a clearer astro-tapestry without going nutzoid is a complex task to be sure and few do it better than The Daykeeper Journal's Alex Miller who includes in his articles additional information on Black Holes, centaurs, and other objects that reflect psychological facets from within the Collective Unconscious as they orbit in space, and embody our archetypal traits while transiting various degrees of the Zodiac. These then contact the planets we're so accustomed to considering in chart analyses and provide fuller, deeper indications, amplifications, and support for what the horoscope already tells us. Then the Law of Three becomes a multitude of portents for those who use extra bodies in chart interpretations so that readers may benefit from the added details supplied by an expert astrologer such as Alex Miller.

And yet! If you've been keeping up with current events the last few weeks and you're like me, it's a bit difficult at this late stage in the race to understand what could possibly go wrong for the president on November 6 considering Mitt Romney's lowering approval ratings, his recent blunders, and his tone-deaf, precipitous, callous, and incorrect accusations about the president's handling of the tragic US embassy attacks of September 10, the amaturish and inciting 'film', and the other discordant notes issuing from the Romney-Ryan camp--including their survival-of-the-fittest Ayn-Randish world view of hardship and misery for the masses.

Or they could simmer down (she typed optimistically.) But even with current real-world events which are well-described by the ongoing Uranus-Pluto square of conflict, protests, and mayhem, the Astrology of Election Day 2012 may turn out to astound us all by showing a preview of what extreme wealth and the use of nasty political tricks can do for a takes-himself-too-seriously, overly self-conscious Republican candidate--a most wishy-washy, mysterious, and mystical Pisces--whose deepest fears are failure and suffering any loss of his shadily-gained financial status--especially through something as common and 'beneath him' as paying his fair share of income taxes which would set a good example for other tophats and bolster the nation from whose capitalist financial system Mr. Romney has benefited tremendously all his life.

So can astrological portents be 'wrong'? No, only misread by finite minds. For as the complexity of the language of Astrology (and Political Astrology at that!) seeks to describe and explain the intricacies and myriad experiences of Life on Earth, it is naturally subject to interpretation by 'only' human beings who, in common with everyone else, can often be incorrect in their assumptions and limited by personal viewpoints unless and until they are well-inspired by higher forces. I certainly count myself well within the limited category in particular considering the populist slant I use so frequently on this, my personal weblog of peeking at Politics through the lens of Astrology.

However, you'll perhaps agree that some chart factors fairly scream out from a horoscope, don't they? And in the end, I believe that Mercury's Station Rx on Election Day 2012 will be one of those screamers for it will not turn Direct and release us from our expectant condition until about the time the Voting Planet performs a Station Direct on November 26, 2012 @18Sco10, then moves forward past its Shadow Degree (4Sag18) in mid-December, 2012 when we may hope soon after that our election trevails will end and clear victories, presidential and congressional, are announced.

On November 6, 2012, all slices of Washington DC's political pie are up for grabs! So for all our sakes, please make certain that on Election Day 2012 you'll be one of the bakers in America's kitchen.

A horosocope set for September 13, 2012 at 2:15 pm edt (the Fed's usual announcement hour after meetings) in Washington DC shows a planetary pattern called 'Thor's Hammer' or 'Fist of God' involving the difficult, ongoing Uranus-Pluto square aimed at the Moon 21Leo23 in 8th house of Shared Resources and Transformation. Since the Moon signifies The People in Mundane Astrology and this Moon position basically opposes US natal Moon in Aquarius (We the People), I assume Thor's Hammer is aimed at the American people. Which may not be a bad thing considering.

If the Fed announces quantitative easing #3 in order to "shore up" EU conditions --the euro is getting a boost today, I hear--and if they prop up mortgage-backed securities in the US in order to aid our still-languishing housing market, the US economy may actually show more improvement than it lately has. Then I could gladly file today's Fed announcement of plans for future growth in SO'W's Whoopee! Department.

And with Jupiter now @15Gem40 and soon in process of a retrograde period, the Great Benefic has and will conjoin the Fed's natal Saturn 13Gem21 Rx indicating some lifting of restrictions and burdens. Of course, you know that transit Pluto in early Capricorn the last two years has conjoined the Fed's natal Sun 1Cap17 while simultaneously opposing the Fed's natal Pluto 00Can05 Rx creating a titanic and global struggle for power and control. We see hints of this in the ongoing problems in the European Community (EU) which adversely affects the economy across the pond (US) and its tentacled connection to our financial system from the City of London and other financial capitals of international banking houses which rule governments more fully than most people care to admit.

The Fed's natal Mars-Neptune conjunction in Cancer (both planets Rx) actually opposes US natal Pluto 27Cap33 Rx which forms a midpoint picture--Mars-Neptune = Pluto: tendency to cause damage brutally to others or to suffer likewise (Ebertin) which relates to the Fed's origins in secret in November 1910 (Jekyll Island, GA) and its aftermath as the privately-owned Federal Reserve Bank became law on December 23, 1913--shoved through Congress though most legislators had already left Washington for the hoildays. A secretive bunch of banking cabalists are they.

And by the way: today's Sun (@21Vir21 at 2:15 pm) conjoins Fixed Star Denebola: 'to go against society' which also relates to a doltish US Congress set to pass a stop-gap measure this afternoon to keep the government funded for another 6 months. Joy. But that's if they can put aside playing Politics along enough with America now under threat of another credit downgrade, thanks mostly to a jackassian GOP.

As for the Fed, QE3 may or may not make much difference to their shaping of a "stronger" US economy. December 23, 1913 12:07:10 pm est (Sun @MC, Pluto @IC) Capitol Building Washington DC; as you see, in 2013 the Fed will be 100 years old. That's a century of throttling of the US government by a private group of international banking houses for they are the varmints who set up the entity and so happily forced America under the thumb of a global Central Bank--at last, a coup for Alexander Hamilton! And that with the collusion of most of the US Congress of 1913, and with the help of Presidents Taft (1910) and Wilson (1913.)

As you know, Oct 4 is the day after the first Obama-Romney debate in Denver, Colorado.

Plus, the Oct 4 Moon @00Gem45 reflects the prior (PE) Solar Eclipse of May 20, 2012 @00Gem20 along with the influences of the Fixed Star Alcyone 00Gem00, one of the Seven Sisters, or the Weepers. Well, the US Congress has returned to Washington today to that Masonic temple on The Hill and has threatened to do a smidgeon of business such as applying itself to a stop-gap budget this afternoon to keep the place open and what passes for functioning. Or not.

Sun and Moon Tracking September 10--14, 2012

Perhaps a brief consideration of this week's personality blends of Sun and Moon, plus a few key factors, will give us hints of the flavors we may expect to encounter during week as Congress purports to get something done on Capitol Hill.

Naturally the key combo of the week is the blend of today, Sept 10th, which at noon finds: Sun 18Vir20 conjunct Mercury 18:27 in 10th house of Public Status/Career @ '19Vir" = "A Swimming Race" which might obviously refer to Campaign 2012; Moon 11Can44 in 8th house of Shared Resources, Debt, and Credit = '12Can' = "A Chinese Woman Nursing a Baby with a Message," a Sabian Symbol which can't help but remind us of America's biggest creditor, China. Are our congressional members taking orders from abroad? From more locations than one, I suspect.

Now Sun Vir-Moon Can is an interesting and practical Earth-Water blend of familial energies which concern nurturance and is shared natally by John Locke (the 'Father of Classical Liberalism') and author Upton Sinclair. This is a conscientious combo so perhaps the alarmingly few congressmembers who are there to accomplish something decent on behalf of the American people will speak up during this brief pre-election session of Congress, or at least during the upcoming lame duck session.

And as I always answer to no one in particular: yes, it is altogether a Utopian dream because the ruling class gives up nothing of what it has taken from those it considers to be beneath it--Until we unite and stop the ridiculous 'partisan' bickering with which they keep us divided and conquered--long enough on November 6th to kick out those who've caused the mind-numbing gridlock on Capitol Hill since 2010 and send candidate Mitt 'Wall Street' Romney and his prissily dancing horses back from whence they came.

The Fed's 'Quantitative Easing' of Inflationary Jupiter-Neptune

If you've visited SO'W before you know this dissenting American blogger has done quite a bit of grousing over Fed actions and its shady beginnings, and no less so now. Even just yesterday I blogged about the planetary imprint or signature which seals its meanings and themes into the Obama administration and which will affect his legacy as president (Jan 20, 2009 until noon of January 21, 2013.)

Yet if Mr. Obama is re-elected, the Jupiter-Neptune combo of energies will continue in the background of his second term. Expansive Jupiter and merging Neptune will meet next in 2022 @23Pis59 conj NYSE's natal *MC 23Pis21); or, if another man is selected for Oval Office duty in 2012, Jupiter-Neptune will flavor events, plans, grand schemes, religious flowerings, and more with major associated events and circumstances timed by the pair's aspects to one another as they circle in their orbits--as seen from Earth. Either way, controlling the inflationary qualities of the pair won't be easy and may not be possible, even if that is the Fed's true motivation.

Happily I find that Omid Malekan has updated his video library since I visited so I chose two of my favorites concerning the Fed and "the Ben Bernank", as he's called therein. If clear explanations are your preference and Financial Collapse 2007/08 remains an issue for you and yours, check out the two videos and think of how secretive the what-became-known-as the Fed's planning session on Jekyll Island, Georgia was in 1910 and how the White House and the US Congress colluded with NY bankers and politicians to morph a utopian take-over fantasy into political and legal reality through the creation of the US Federal Reserve Bank set up by an Act of Congress.

And of course for something that unpopular, the culprits sneakily pushed through the legislation on December 23, 1913 when Capitol Hill's Christmas recess had begun and many chambers, halls, and seats were empty of anyone who might've objected to forming a central bank a la Alexander Hamilton-style. For if we're talking Jupiter-Neptune, we're talking visionaries and scoundrels out for their main chance and successfully linking treasuries of the US with that of Britain (City of London) in spite of all the fighting and sacrifices our ancestors did to free us from the grip of the British Empire. Shams and Mystery Plays!

As the video reminds us, the Fed has been wrong about everything from the start and maintains plenty of air with which to blow things up: the Fed wants an inflated economy that continues giving Goldman-Sachs all advantages and leads to a global financial collapse when they're good'n'ready.

Guess it probably should go without saying that the New York Stock Exchange was formed (by a small group, again) on May 17, 1792 under the auspices of a previous Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Neptune in Libra in 4th house, both retrograde in late degrees, a section of the Zodiac where Saturn has lumbered recently (on his way to Scorpio):

Last evening at DNC 2012 in Charlotte, NC, President Barack Obama accepted his party's nomination for president. During his address he mentioned the Big Banks that all but collapsed the US economy in 2007/08. Now, with the stock market doubled under Mr. Obama, Wall Street has not given its old fraudster ways which was expectable since the speculator-wastrel-fraudster pair, Jupiter and Neptune of Grand Schemes and Visions, met in Great Conjunction three times during the president's first year in office (2009) and will forever be the planetary imprint describing the tenure of the Obama administration Jan 2009--Jan 2013.

As you know, when Jupiter and Neptune met in 2009 their conjunction directly hit America's natal Moon in Aquarius (We the People) compelling us with the desire to dream and providing little sense of reality about events that were happening, may of which related to our then-new 'dreamboat' president whose natal Mars (desire; energy; action) is concealed and glamorized by US natal Neptune @23 Virgo. Also, related to Financial Collapse 2008 and specifically to the Fed, is Jupiter and Pluto closing 2007 with their Great Conjunction of December 11, 2007 which timed many events and financial circumstances of which the public was then unaware.

There are no Great Conjunctions of primary planets until Big Year 2020--then it's Jupiter-Saturn, Jupiter-Pluto, and Saturn-Pluto--so each planetary pair's or trio's flavor relates back to their last Great Conjunction/s until then; of course their cycles include sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions between them which lead up to 2020 as they mark periods of ease or obstruction accordingly.

Now in a previous SO'W post concerning the president's acceptance speech at DNC 2012 last evening, I mentioned the current Sun-Jupiter square for its tendency to inspire over-promising and while last night's DNC address was wonderful and shiny for several reasons, my fret is: Here We Go Again--especially since Republicans have no intention of cooperating with, and will everything they can to obstruct, a second-term President Obama. And that's a very good reason why Democratic candidates must be successful in their bids on November 6th to gain seats in the House and Senate!That, and the expectable appointing of fresh SCOTUS judges in the near future.

The Morning After the Party

So with the Jupiter-Neptune cycle lasting approximately thirteen years, on this morning after President Obama thrilled excited crowds in Charlotte, TV watchers at home, and many of the DNC 2012 commentators, too, I find myself pining for a re-consideration of even more Truth about Financial Crash 2008 (or, The Bush Depression as I often term it) than any DNC speaker provided for the crisis plagues us still while providing for the Democratic Party handy justification for re-electing Mr. Obama who, it is true, cannot clear up the GOP's eight years of financial heisting and flummery in only a four-year term--especially if financial reforms fall short as they have.

Yes, I shall vote for Mr. Obama again for look at what the powers-that-be give us as his opposition: Misogynist Neanderthal Theocratic Jacka**es! Why, it's almost as if the GOP wants to lose in 2012, isn't it? So with my vote I shall retain the Hope that guilty banksters will at some point receive what ought to be comin' to 'em which would give the US financial system a great boost once the dust settles and the rot is scooped out.

Of course, you know that a Romney presidency would get banksters completely off the hook for their crimes and would remove any legal fetters upon them whatesoever. What fetters they now have or would have under the Mittster have so far not despoiled their greedy, pretty little minds. Subliminal Message: as we've experienced through the decades, using 'trickle down economics' only works for those at the top of the pyramid of power, not for the American people as a whole. A Romney-Ryan administration would feed banksters here and abroad our remaining crumbs and prevent us from investing in America and our children's futures!

2012 Nominations: Romney = Moon-Neptune, Obama = Moon/SN

Since in America the astrological Moon signifies We the People, the public, and publicity and is an excellent timer of human activity, let's consider the Moon-Neptune combo of August 30, 2012 under which Mitt Romney accepted his party's nomination for president along with tonight's lunar portents as President Obama accepts the Democratic nomination of his party in Charlotte, NC. Both Neptune and the Nodes relate to public contacts/encounters and, the masses and media.

Mitt Romney's Moon-Neptune conjunction in early Pisces is supported by his progressions for SP Moon at SP MC is opposed by his SP Neptune and I blogged last week about this synchronicity--that the Mormon hierarchy is at the base of his aspiration to be president (SP Moon = MC @'11Aries" = "The President of the Country") though I may not have mentionedclearly enough that Neptune's relationship to falsehoods, fraud, lies, and deceit are found in many news reports, blogs, articles, and fact-checkers' conclusions concerning RNC 2012 which spouted little reality or truth as it attempted to frame issues and present a one-sided picture of the president's term in office.

So what about tonight's DNC event? Is a Moon/South Node (of the Moon) combination a beneficial imprint under which the president will accept his party's nomination?

As you know, the SN of any planet has a Saturnian quality indicating such things as separation, isolation, and the past--so will the American people prefer to separate themselves from President Obama in November 2012--to"break up" with him, as Republicans now advise? If the approval shown during Bill Clinton's exalted nomination of Barack Obama last evening--and the excited reception of other excellent speakers such as Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren and activist for women's rights Sandra Fluke--are indications, then We the People already have our presidential dance partner for January 2013, thanks, and he does not fly a Cayman Islands flag on his luxury yacht nor does he dance with horses!

Now a Moon/SN conjunction does have a Moon-Saturn tone, yes, but it can also be a 'direction-strategy-ambition' marker (Tyl), plus, it shows one who must achieve without cooperation from others (such as that of obstructionist Tea Party members of the House and GOP leaders determined to undermine yet another Democratic president--Rs really are sore losers, aren't they?) Plus, when well-managed, Moon/SN denotes one who is capable of well-planned, concentrated, disciplined efforts. And just like Mr. Clinton last evening, this describes someone I have in mind: President Barack Obama. To paraphrase Mr. Clinton last night, no president including himself could clear up the 8-year economic mess left by Republicans in only four years.

Now Moon/SN also indicates bad timing and separative circumstances of a karmic nature so I'm seeing this duo--which conjoins and stimulates the May 20, 2012 Solar Eclipse 00Gem20 conjunct Alcyone ('something to cry about'; lots of rain; exile; evacuation)--as a picture of the president's acceptance speech tonight being held at the smaller venue of the TIME-Warner Cable arena due to expected thunderstorms around Charlotte which would possibly necessitate a huge and difficult evacuation unless moved indoors, for the venue change will bump thousands of audience members off the attendance list and make them a little grumpy, I imagine.

And thanks to America's ridiculously over-done, clownishly irrational security measures--even though it may be raining like the dickens tonight...no umbrellas allowed.

Yet we'll ALL be super-grumpy if President Obama is re-elected and Republicans continue their self-serving no-compromise act of non-governing in what I think is an attempt to collapse America:

The Taurean Moon of Bill Clinton at DNC 2012

Since this is the closest hint I can find concerning former President Bill Clinton's nomination of President Barack Obama for a second term tonight in Charlotte, NC I set up a horoscope for 10:30 pm edt and found the Moon 17Tau21 rising (ASC 17:08), a handy way for on-the-payroll astrologers to time an important even that requires major publicity. We saw the 5-6-degreed Taurus Moon rising last evening at DNC 2012 as well (previous post) which hinted at the evening's themes of Home, Family, Nurturance, Security, Military Families' Needs, Gardening, etc, and spotlighting First Lady Michelle Obama.

But tonight, it's Bill Clinton's turn to shine, though on behalf of Mr. Obama, and he will with his sensual Taurus Moon @20Tau18 in natal 8th house of Shared Resources, Big Business, and High Finance. (His natal MC--The Goal--conjoins US natal Jupiter 5Can56 (July 4, 1776) with the Sabian Symbol for '6Can' being descriptive of Washington then and now: "Game Birds Feathering Their Nests."

with his natal Moon exalted in Taurus and ruled by lovely Venus, Mr. Clinton's Taurean Moon gives him a placid emotional nature--though he's perhaps a bit on the stubborn side emotionally--and lots of common sense for handling finances; it's also known as the 'green thumb' position (Sakoian) which I find amusing because of his habit of pointing his thumb at audiences and TV cameras during speeches. Wonder if he'll do so tonight?

Sept 5, 2012 Charlotte, NC 10:30 pm edt

Now in Charlotte, the Moon rises around 10:30 pm edt this evening which according to the article linked above is just about when The Man From Hope will be speaking or will be about to begin his remarks (after the address of Elizabeth Warren who, being a woman, is also signified by tonight's rising Moon in Taurus, a money sign. This blogger wishes her well in her Senate bid. The American people need her advocacy on our behalf.) The Roll Call vote for Obama'as nomination is set for about 11:00 pm so Clinton's speech should wind up by or just before then yet as we know from experience, the DNC 2012 program may run long with Bill about the place.

As for Bill Clinton's Lunar Return during DNC 2012, it perfects in Charlotte on Thursday September 6, 2012 @4:27:37 am edt--with Barack Obama's natal Sun in Leo rising!--yet Luna has sailed past a beneficial trine with the Sun 14Vir09 (6S09); this Lunar Return horoscope shows some health concerns (as does his recent Solar Return and transits) with two minor appying aspects--semi-square Uranus and sesqui-square Pluto

If only I had time now to post on the speech/introduction by Michelle Obama tonight at DNC 2012 in the TIME-Warner Cable arena in Charlotte, NC with a comforting Taurean Moon precisely on the horizon at 10:00 pm edt (as I have been told by Current TV this morning.) Perhaps the hour will be changed or be delayed, plus, in yesterday's post about the gaveling in of DNC 2012 I used '2:00 pm edt' to 'match' the time that RNC 2012 opened Aug 28 in Tampa, FL, as I was told.

Busy day here today! and I'm certain that you your very self can set up a horoscope for Mrs. Obama's speech tonight and view Moon 5Tau11 = ASC 5Tau46 which emphasizes the unconsicous (karmic) degree of '5Tau' and of '6Tau.'

Our First Lady will focus on Home, Family, Children, Security, Domestic Conditions, all 4th house stuff (supported by a 4th H Venus in Cancer but opposing US natal Pluto, the plutocrats and Underworld elements), and the nurturance of the Taurean Moon (the public; publicity; a woman; womens's issues; the public feeling comfy with Michelle Obama as she talks about societal conditions including nutrition and soldiers' families, gardening, our mood: earthy, building), and re-introduces her community worker husband to the American people.

Update 4:55 pm edt: a keen reader informed me earlier that DNC 2012 gavels in today at 5:00 pm edt...thanks for the info! In Charlotte, NC that means that critical-crisis degrees ('20Cap-20Can') are rising/setting which denotes a last-minute glitch perhaps and definitely the vise in which politicians and international bankers have placed the people, both here and abroad.

Astro-Notes on DNC's opening Sep 4, 2012

Taking a peek at the DNC 2012 opening chart for September 4, 2012 @2:00 pm edt Charlotte, NC the Goal Point (MC) shows an Angular constellation which 'keeps on giving' when it comes to the relationship between the American people and President Barack Obama and one which he uses to good effect: Obama's natal Mars conjunct and veiled by US natal Neptune, our 'rockstar' combination.

Yet as you know, this planetary synchronicity may also hide his true motivations and actions and cause us confusion and disappointment especially since our expectations were set overly high for one president to satisfy--especially when half of Washington's politicians were/are determined to see him fail and have no compunction about allowing America to fail with him--as long as they win. Now I'm looking at the DNC opening's horoscope set for 2:00 pm edt (with no time to search for more timely info!) because that's the hour that RNC 2012 opened on August 28, 2012. This makes for a fair comparison of charts even if the DNC opening hour isn't precisely 2:00 pm. And delegates are already descended upon Charlotte as I type along with protesters against the Ds' use of corporate money (campaign contributions, DNC in corporate venues, which I decry as well but where else is large enough for expected crowds?)

Well, tomorrow at 2:00 pm Sept 4, 2012 Charlotte, NC, we find 8Sag45b Rising which makes Jupiter *14Gem57 the chart-ruler and which emphasizes the polarity of Fixed Stars Aldebaran and Antares--success through integrity, and obsessed with success These stars were emphasized in the RNC 2012 chart as well (2:00 pm) and I leave it for you to place the emphasis on which party expresses which archetype most closely though naturally Politics in general is constantly influenced in these ways. But with a Fixed Star, its 'caution' or flaw to avoid will at some point bring loss of success if tempering advice is neglected or ignored.

A Notable Difference: RNC v DNC

If DNC 2012 opens after lunch tomorrow, the Moon (we the people) will have left Martian Aries (protests?) and entered Venus-ruled Taurus where Luna is exalted.

This gives DNC 2012 a financially savvy, kindhearted Sun Vir-Moon Tau flavor which is shared natally by actor Peter Sellers who advised us that, "There are some satisfactions you can only find in work."

This weekend I'm in the midst of serious typing of my Oct-Nov-Dec 2012 issue #2 of Stars Over Washington Monthly so I'm squishing this post between the final night of RNC 2012 on Thursday, and the start of DNC 2012 early next week. Whew!

Yet as I study the horoscopes of the presidential debates and the one VP debate (their schedule/locations listed below, unless changed) it seems I couldn't put off any longer posting Mitt Romney's Secondary Progressions for the day of the first presidential debate of October 3rd (9:00 pm debate charts are used which doesn't matter much for Progressions--unless for some timely reason it does.) As you know, the symbolic movement of the SP Moon is based on the actual movement of earth's Moon which amounts to approximately one degree per month in astrological progressions. There are many interesting chart factors but I must only mention a few this evening (a new SNL tonight, I think!)

Issuing from Mitt Romney's natal chart, we see that his SP Moon (Moon = 'reiging need'--Tyl) has reached his progressed Midheaven (MC = Aspirations; The Goal; Public Status) and his 5-6 year Quest to be president of the land is very much in sight (MC.)

Now the American people don't need Astrology to inform them of Mr. Romney's longed-for vision (SP Moon opposite SP Neptune--and the sailing Moon occulted mystical Neptune for his nom acceptance speech) yet I thought you might wish to view Romney's SP chart showing Moon-to-MC 'in black and white' in case you hadn't seen it before. The synchronicity is quite striking given the circumstances and I believe that having his SP Neptune 8Lib19 Rx at IC, the Foundation of the Matter, represents on one level his vision of being CEO-in-Chief and on another level the Mormon Church and its hierarchy of 'gods on Earth' (puh!) who apparently intend to place Mitt at America's helm, in the White House.

As always, feel free to disagree, and No, I don't like thinking of four years of a Plutocrat-in-Chief even though I feel that international banking houses have ruled the US government at least since the early 1900s and act through a political arm (Washington agents) and through the US Central Bank, aka, the Federal 'Reserve' System (which at best, is quasi-federal, if that.)

Now perhaps it isn't fair not to post President Obama's SP chart for October 3rd as well but there's little time to spare. However, I can say that with his SP MC @18Cap24 (Honolulu, Hawaii) has SP Saturn 23Cap14 Rx and SP Jupiter 27Cap19 (turned Direct by Progression from its natal sign of AQ and conjunct US natal Pluto Rx) so there are good portents on a societal level (Jup-Sat = societal planets and on a pragmatic get-it-done level, too. Jipter to Pluto shows links to large financiers and funders though 'they say' not as many as Mittens has squirreled away. (Large tax breaks are expected, you know.)

Well, Mr. President's SP Moon on Oct 3rd is @14Ari39 (in SP 12th house of Politics) and he is now on the waning side of a SP Full Moon (perfected @1Ari10 on Nov 6, 2011 near the AP) while Mr. Romney enters his SP Balsamic phase of the Moon on Sept 22, 2012, beginning a period when endings, partings, and separations are prominent and one may take over tasks and responsibilities for someone who, for some reason, cannot carry on. And you may as well know that it pains and annoys me very much to type this presidential possibility.
