The December 2016 New Moon in Capricorn conjoins a difficult fixed star, Facies, one of the 'victim stars' with potentials for: violence, war, death, blindness, detachment, frigidity, leadership ability, perfectionism, earthquakes.

The first lunation of 2017 in January, a Full Moon in Cancer, falls between the Dark-and-Light Twin Stars Castor and Pollux. Both stars suggest creativity, in writing particularly but Castor's potentials also include such things as: sudden fame or loss, crippling of limbs, mental illness, and murder, while Pollux's potentials are: murder, disgrace, rape, cruelty, success with Astrology or the occult, and danger from large animals, poisons, or...women.

As for Washington DC, on January 6, 2017 the new 115th Congress convenes and puts their official stamp on the December 19, 2016 Electoral College vote for Mr. Trump. You remember December 19th - when the Electoral College failed in its prime mandate to protect the US presidency and the American people from a dangerous demagogue president like loutish Donald the Demagogue? Still, my hopes are for Trump's 'plans' to work for the benefit of all Americans - even though the billionaire class he favors already has a huuuuge running start.

2016 Republican candidate Donald Trump announced his bid for nomination from Trump Towers, New York City on the morning of June 16, 2015 under the auspices and influence of a New Moon in Gemini (25:07), the communicative sign of announcements, messages, voting, voters, and fluctuations. Perfecting in conjunction with Mars in Gemini, a New Moon phase is as always indicative of a new cycle of activity. Having warrior planet Mars nearby, Mr. Trump's rising planet in his natal chart, seems appropriate as we look back over his candidacy so far with his 'hit back if provoked' stance. And yet that is what his natal chart cautions against with royal Regulus rising along with his Mars in proud, egoistic Leo: success if revenge is avoided. His candidacy has shaken up the Republican establishment, as you know--quarreling Mars the activist stirring things up!

Of course, avoiding vengeance against opponents is a tall order with testy Mars in the royal mix! And it isn't that success won't occur (he's proven that many times over in real estate and on TV) but if revenge is resorted to, one will ultimately lose all that has been gained. Wonder why I have the feeling that the horse of vengeance left Mr. Trump's barn of success long long ago?

As you see, the horoscope of Winter Solstice 2015 is set for Washington DC and shows a favorable portent in the form of the Moon's North Node rising @26Vir11 (Ascendant in Nodal Degree suggests karma at work--reaping what's been sown) along with Jupiter @22Vir46 as leader of a Locomotive pattern of planets yet conjunct starry Denebola (to go against society; out of the mainstream). This pattern hints at a high-powered executive demanding success in his endeavors--a CEO, a corporation or syndicate of them, a religious leader, a military general, a priest or guru, a politician or political group--with expansive Jupiter perhaps all of these are represented here. Success seems near at hand for there is also a high-flying Kite pattern with the exalted-in-Taurus Moon as its tail posited in the 8th house of Corporatism, Shared Resources, and Transformation. A Mystic Rectangle is dotted, as you see, but it includes Chiron so let's assume its 'practical mysticism' vibes will be fortunate in the healing department along with Moon, Jupiter, and Venus.

During this dynamic Mars Hour, we find that with Virgo rising Mercury is chart-ruler so let's consider the Speedy One's major applying aspects to see how things will proceed this winter season--actually from the moment the Sun enters Capricorn since The Cosmos times this horoscope via The Great Cosmic Clock that is our Solar System. At 11:48 pm est, solar energies in the Collective morph from Jupiter-ruled Sagittarius into Saturn-ruled Capricorn and as you know, the entire sign of Capricorn is a mystical labyrinth with Saturn the traditional ruler of Astrology and anciently considered to be the devil.

Yet on a mundane level Capricorn is the sign of government, law, and business, plus, systems, structures, the establishment, and lawmakers such as those who 'serve' the people on Capitol Hill. In Politics perhaps Saturn's 'devil' status and satanist tendencies hold true, would you agree after the way they've mucked things up?

Sun-Moon and Chart-Ruler Mercury in the Winter Solstice 2015 Horoscope

Now Winter Solstice 2015 brings much practicality with its Double Earth blend of Sun Cap-Moon Taurus, the Venus-ruled sign in which the Moon exalts. With Sun Cap-Moon Taurus we envision inherited wealth, self-made fortunes, and lucrative stock markets. Meanwhile, Mercury in Capricorn is an ambitious placement and provides thinking, planning, communicating Mercury with good concentration skills, methodology, and a conservative preference for the status quo in politics. Ideas are only useful if they are practical to a Cap Mercury and a serious, stern manner may be noted more often than not. Afflicted by squares from Mars and Uranus, this Mercury may also tend toward greed and doesn't mind using other people to attain materialistic goals with little if any thought to the human condition or the common good.

Along with the solar emphasis on 4th house matters of Home, Roots, Security, and Real Estate (and the Sun unaspected and thus intense, isolated, unpredictable, taking intermittent actions, a genius by any planet), we find an out of bounds (OOBs) Mercury @18Cap05 which has recently moved beyond wealthy, stealthy Pluto @14Cap42 and this reminds us, of course, of secrets, spies, surveillance, and what once was our right to privacy. Mercury OOBs tends to act on its own without interference from others (planets) and we may tend to think of NSA agents or other Mercurial actors. This degree area of the Zodiac continues to provide oppositions to US natal Sun conjoining Egyptian goddess star Sirius (the mundane becoming sacred; The Scorcher). The heaviest is the ongoing transit of Pluto opposing US natal Sun = titanic power struggles and challenges to power/control and the spying it brings; President Obama and thus the American people have certainly been ensnared in invisible Pluto's creepy net, violence included--particularly since the New Millennium.

Plus, you'll remember that '18Cap' is the degree of the Great Conjunction/s of Enlightenment-Illuminati-Age-of-Reason planets Uranus and Neptune three times in 1993 and keys the 'smug of strong-armed paternalism' vibes in the Sabian Symbols (Marc Edmund Jones.) 'POLITICAL POWER' and "A British Destroyer Flies the Union Jack" are part of this disturbing picture--and if we expect reason (as in, the Age of Reason) to solve everything, compassion for humanity is left out in the cold. Add Mercury to the Uranus-Neptune mix and we get a variety of ideas and plans along with Artificial Intelligence (Munkasey) which relates to Technology of course, but also intelligence (info) that is false.

As for Mercury's applying Ptolemaic aspects there are three (not counting a Moon-Mercury trine since Luna applies to Mercury): 1. sextile Venus in 2nd house of the National Treasury @20Sco13; 2. trine Jupiter, the engine leader rising in the 12th house of Politics, Back Room Deals, and Karma; 3. square Mars, also in 2nd house @23Lib02 which stimulates two stars, Spica and Arcturus.

1. Mercury sextile Venus denotes potentials for holistic thinking, an ability to line up support for ideas, forming alliances, and the use of diplomacy. Challenging complacent people and debates that turn into bickering are possible (Campaign 2016) though charm may also be used. Why, someone may even send flowers!

2. Mercury trine Jupiter shows someone being in the right place at the right time with the necessary information. Grandiose ideas abound and caution is needed to stay in touch with reality and not be overconfident of abilities or of situations. This may be difficult for the president (Sun) or for anyone in charge due to the midpoint picture mentioned below. However, Mercury trine Jupiter does tend to favor political activities, religious endeavors, court decisions (depending on which side you're on!), publishing, advertising, and cultural projects. Foreign relations may also be benefited via good opportunities which is great if the cautions are heeded and a moderate attitude is kept in mind.

3. Mercury square Mars: now if we break up the winter season (ending at Spring Equinox March 2016) into three sections, we find in the last time period that Mercury squares Mars symbolically from about February 21 to March 21, 2016. Solstice Mercury's sextile and trine won't go away yet a square approaches. So there is Mars @23Lib02 in 2nd house of the National Treasury, Earnings, and Values conjoining two fortunate fixed stars, Spica and Arcturus which are very much a part of the star lore of Washington DC. For in the original plans for the Federal City, Spica (The Spike, a phallic symbol) is reflected on earth by the Washington Monument and thus relates to the US presidency and its official archetype in the personage of *George Washington, the great stone face (30Pisces.)

Arcturus = the White House and there again we have presidential symbology with the Federal City's reflections similar to the Giza Pyramids on earth lined up like the Belt Stars of Orion, the Hunter (and Christ archetype in Christianity, Osiris in ancient Egypt.) These stars and imagery are spotlighted each time a planet enters the 23Libra degree area where Spica and Arcturus sparkle, of course, and both stars are considered beneficial and denote a fortunate realm within the malefic Via Combusta (the burning way in traditional Astrology: mid-Libra to mid-Scorpio.)

So with Mercury square Mars we may expect problems with incorrect information, frustration, and wrong directions. Aggression increases, mechanical snags and glitches occur, electrical issues may need attention (ex: US power grid), and competition gets down and dirty (but in politics who can tell a difference?); schedules may not function well so leave in plenty of time; public transportation is spotlighted negatively or via delays and cancellations; infections and contagions are potentials and I would be remiss not to mention them so please take precautions.

A Visionary Midpoint Picture for the Unaspected 2015 Winter Solstice Sun

Yes, North Node rising seems to be a favorable portent for our nation's future direction manifesting during Winter 2015--2016 yet we find our 1776 Neptune @22Virgo rising as well with Jupiter @22Vir46 (leader of a powerful Locomotive pattern) along with its obfuscation of President Obama's natal Mars also @22Virgo. Many times I have fussed about this conjunction, this veil through which the public sees or understands his actions and motivations with great difficulty, if at all. Inspired actions are possible with Mars-Neptune of course but we're talking about politicians not saints--and an unstable shift in government has been set in motion. Plus, there's America's natal Mars-Neptune square on the angles of the solstice chart with its 'misguided actions and motivations' leading to what too many times has resulted in 'the fog of war'.

Although Washington and Wall Street may deny it, our great nation has been bankrupted by warmongers, cheats, gold-hoarders, and politicians!

For as you know, Jupiter-Neptune is the speculator pair of energies-- visionaries, spendthrifts, religious frauds, and a degraded legal system (Munkasey) and with the Jupiter-Neptune midpoint conjoining the unaspected 2015 Winter Solstice Sun we find potentials for:

confidence and purpose where confusion or deception exist, visions used to enhance one's capabilities, prestige that helps others (political endorsements? Hillary has most of them so far), deceiving or being deceived, irresponsibility, squandering physical strength (military?), following a dream (or a secret destiny?), trying to capture the essence of things, potentially misguided states, feeling the spirit (Munkasey; Ebertin; Tyl; note that any, all, or none may apply.)

So Jupiter leading a Locomotive is a high-powered executive demanding success but he now conjoins US natal Neptune and the president's Mars which gives a boundary-crashing impetus to December 2015 into 2016, the last year of Barack Obama's presidency. This midpoint picture resonates with his first year in office which was imprinted by the Great Conjunction/s of Jupiter and Neptune occurring upon US natal Moon in Aquarius, the dreamy 'going with the wind; emotional swoon; involved in speculation' spell many of us were under. Therefore, potentials for this Jupiter-Neptune-Sun winter season include:

pretense, illusion, deception, fanaticism, paranoia, scandals, bankruptcies, mystery, and oceanic occurrences. A tendency toward overconfidence is noted as above for President Obama's Mars as he leans toward expansive actions that actually need moderation. War is obviously on the agenda but we don't need Astrology to tell us that--yet as you see, US Mars @22Gemini has crossed the Goal Point of the chart (MC 25Gem47) and drags US natal Neptune with it in their problematic square formation. Deception is on Washington's menu as are Syrian refugees with Saturn (ruler of the solstice Sun) in Sagittarius, sign of the foreigner and the emigrant.

Now you may have noticed in my writings that, as a self-described dissenting American, I remain in a permanent snit of miffdom over our nation's lies-into-war condition made worse by the way criminal usurpers have infiltrated what we've always been told was our government.

To that I say Puh! Clearly it is not and probably never was 'ours'. It seems Freemasons and other secret societies had a lock on it from the start--or before the start for a new nation and "new world order" had to be planned before it could be implemented. Perhaps our July 4, 1776 Pluto in late Capricorn--out of bounds of the earthly plane and acting apart from the other planets--directed our Founding Fathers from abroad where secret societies were birthed. This could account for a secret operative who encouraged them in signing the Declaration of Independence when they seemed to falter--that mysterious voice coming from the darkened balcony, mysteriously missing from the locked building when looked for, as the legend goes.

After all, the Signers were faced with the death penalty for high treason as they labored shut up in that sweltering room of the Pennsylvania State House in Philadelphia with its windows covered for total privacy and a guard posted at the door. Many hours of debate passed and then, the legend goes, an unknown voice rang out, "God has given America to be free!" which sent the delegates rushing forward to sign. Well, that's the legend but as usual with so much American history, the Declaration of Independence was not fully signed until August 2, 1776 within two weeks of the initial solar eclipse in the 13 North Saros Series. That it began the series echos the establishment of a 'New World Order' and a new nation, the first country created for the sake of a noble idea (Plato's, Bacon's, Weishaupt's, etc) and the ideals of freedom, independence, equality and democracy (so they say but not so much anymore--the power elite want a new order now--you know, like the fabled Atlantis--that golden time before The Fall, man in no need of rules or laws. That Age of Reason nonsense will be their flimsy excuse for collapsing the US government anyway.)

Be all that as it may, perhaps you'll agree that the themes of 13N apply closely to the events of August 2, 1776. The solar eclipse manifested on August 14 @21Leo52 conjunct Venus @22:46, making the USA a fiery nation of dramatic show-offs and natural leaders with statues and symbols of goddess Venus (aka, Isis or Columbia) all around the Federal City--and later illuminating New York Harbor. 13N relates to: group endeavors, projects, and associations with a flavor of 'breaking an existing bond which requires separation but then there is joint achievement' (paraphrasing Brady's Predictive Astrology.) Sounds like America to me.

And yet it's late days and we find that descendants of early social engineers of Bacon's and Weishaupt's ilk (or perhaps just the transnational bankers of the globalism persuasion) want to toss out the freedom, independence, and democracy model and substitute it with draconian surveillance and the strong-arm policing of Global Government, what some believe is the 'Secret Destiny of America'. Yet this would mean that humanity's enslavement is the ultimate goal of this nation and that I refuse to believe in spite of certain actors' constant undermining of our governmental institutions via such tactics as 'shutdowns' meant to suggest and herald a final shutdown and the chaos it would bring so that a new order would be called for.

All this I mention here because the very important November 8, 2016 Election is key to power elite plans along with whatever dirty tricks they play on us before then, propaganda included. Will America select her first female president? I suspect so as The Great Seal (modeled on the Illuminati seal dated May 1, 1776) symbolically turns its conscious side over to its feminine unconscious side and the American people finally discover the Seal's hidden messages and the true implication of,

"A government that is big enough to give you all you want is big enough to take it all away."

--Barry Goldwater, a practical, shrewd Sun Capricorn-Moon Taurus personality. We can't say he didn't warn us.

Astro-Notes on 19 Scorpio

The New Moon @19Scorpio on November 11, 2015 at 12:47 pm est conjoins what has been traditionally considered an unfortunate degree by some though this is not very reliable. It is associated with tragedy and with the star Unukalhai (now around 22/23Sco) aka, Alpha Serpentis. Insanity and legal problems are implied with this star along with accidents and success in war. (Horary Plain & Simple, A. Louis.)

According to Nicholas DeVore's Encyclopedia the 19 Scorpio degree marks a "crucial point in the war between the Ego and the Supreme Will." This is a war we each must fight at various times in our lives with one path leading to evil and the other path beneficial as karmic progress is made. (To paraphrase Scripture, 'There is a way which seemeth right unto a man but the wages thereof are death".)

Another association with this degree is the starry Northern Scales at around 19Scorpio or so which contains Jupiter-Mercury-Mars flavors and potentials for bringing wealth, honors, and distinction. With Sun and Moon contacts this star may be favorable for civil servants, scientists, and lawyers (Ebertin-Hoffman).

So using Political Astrology to view US Politics, we'll soon see what this new cycle of activity (New Moon) seeds as it culminates with a Full Moon on November 25, 2015 @3Gem20 exactly conjoining the 4th house natal Moon of President Barack Obama.

August 15, 2015: What's New at Stars Over Washington!

Yes, that's a new logo and image you see at the top of the page. You can hardly miss it, can you? The night sky is cloudy so the stars are hidden and so far, the image has yet to display on my phone so I'm reserving my opinion for now and may remove the image eventually. Plus, if I had the tech skills, I probably would have created an image with the three stars that are reflected by the Federal Triangle (as originally planned by Pierre L'Enfant): Spica for the Washington Monument as it points toward earth in the Reflecting Pool below--the Hermetic As above, So Below model that our Founding secret society members were completely aware of; royal Regulus for the Masonic temple we call the Capitol Building (and thus, the US Congress), and Arcturus representing the White House.

And perhaps it would be even more descriptive to include starry Porrima above our national phallic symbol, the Washington Monument, since Porrima is the 'star of prophecy' and the 'goddess' the ladies prayed to in olden days to assure fertility and safe childbirth. Curious how Freemason George, The Father of Our Country to whom the monumental obelisk is dedicated, never fathered natural children of his own (that we know of--there is some controversy there.)

As a curiosity, let us add here the Sabian Symbol for '19 Taurus', George Washington's natal Ascendant (the Self point, the physical body, etc): "A New Continent Rising Out of the Ocean" which speaks of the mind being emptied and light purifying the consciousness freed from its attachment and contaminations...a new release of life can emerge out of the infinite Ocean of potentiality, "the Virgin SPACE." (Rudhyar.) "Keynote: The surge of new potentiality after the crisis"...SPONTANEITY" which means "to have reached a state in which the conscious, rational ego is no longer a controlling factor." Well, the Founders and subsequent Masons did deify George Washington as a purified solar god which the Egyptian obelisk represents as a symbol of Ra. As you know, constellation VIRGO the Virgin (Isis-Mary-Columbia, etc) and its stars are found all over the Venusian city of Washington DC!

And what of Porrima? If the Washington Monument pointing toward this star-goddess was intended by the Founders to vouchsafe the birth and establishment of America, the Utopian, Baconian 'New Atlantis' on a new continent, the Founders and designers of the Federal City of Washington, District of Columbia have been successful these 239 years and counting though their far-sighted 'experiment' based on an ancient ideal of perfection (via Plato and before) seems in 2015 to be under more threat than ever by Utopian usurpers and fanatics (Uranus in Aries--Ebertin) who are determined to crash America as the 'old order' of 1776 and establish a 'new world order' that no population in the world could prefer nearly as much as a nation based on independence, freedom, and equality--imperfect as it has been and ever a work in progress.

Yet to my mind, that's what we get whenever and wherever mankind is involved...imperfection, and it's tragic how this natural fact runs completely counter to the Utopian 'Illuminati' scheme of a 'new world order' which upholds tenets of the Age of Reason--the Enlightenment--in which man allegedly needs no laws (chaos) and can evolve toward a perfect condition all by himself...with Science leading the way!

To which yours truly can only sputter, puh! to the misguided knaves and death-worshiping fools.

Today's Pluto Flyby to Give a Closer Look at the Outermost Planet

July 14, 2015: During the dark of the Moon, the shady days leading up to the July 15th *New Moon @23Cancer--which conjoins US natal Mercury Rx--at 7:49 am ET today, NASA's New Horizons reached Pluto for its closest flyby and some sharper images sporting higher resolution than ever before seen will result of Astrology's planet of power, subterfuge, and death--Pluto. Speaking of death, Pluto discoverer (1930), Clyde Tombaugh, requested that his ashes be inside any spacecraft bound for Pluto...and so they are.

Astrologically, 'sharp analysis' is a potential within the midpoint picture now formed with Pluto opposing the Mercury-Mars conjunction in Cancer. At 13Can18, Mars is also out of bounds (of the earthly plane = outstanding activities) and conjoins SIRIUS, a star intimately linked to the founding of America. Mars and SIRIUS now conjunct US natal Sun (leadership; the president) by a mere one-minute orb.

In addition, from Earth's perspective, Pluto arose today with fixed star Toliman, aka Bungala (Alpha Centauri); key theme: learning and education that expand the worldview of others (paraphrasing B. Brady). Curiously, Mars arose today with a star that is also in the Centauri constellation: Agena (Beta Centauri); key theme: to have a mission. Both themes of these stars seem applicable to NASA's New Horizons project which culminated near Pluto today.

Considering that there is a 'clamoring for power' vibe to Mars-Pluto contacts, I hope such adventurous thrusts into the Solar System won't relate to or promote further breakthroughs (Jupiter still within orb of its 'scientific breakthrough' trine to technological Uranus) in the realm of Space Warfare intended to enable transnational globalists' long term mission of full implementation of total global control. You can tell I have trouble trusting the organization invented by nazi war criminals, the German scientists exported to the US after the war, can't you?

Summer 2015: a Starry Summer Triangle, Pluto's historic flyby - Cosmic Pursuits (plus, astro-notes)

Cosmic Pursuits, Brian Ventrudo's excellent astronomy website and newsletter, gives us a heads-up on the brilliant Summer Triangle of stars Vega, Altair, and Deneb (Adige) with double star Albireo twinkling colorfully in the triangle's center.

Of course, depending on your vantage point, the trio may be called the Winter Triangle!

Now let's consider a little astrology concerning Vega (Alpha Lyrae, the Lyre of Orpheus in the Lyra constellation), Altair (Alpha Aquilae, constellation Aquila, the Eagle), and Deneb in constellation Cygnus the Swan, with Deneb (Alpha Cygnus) as its tail.

Keywords and themes for Vega (or, Wega) include magic, mysticism, other-worldliness, and charisma. Astrology of 1989 vs 2015: Saturn, Neptune, and Pluto

Voyager 2's closest encounter with Neptune and Triton occurred on August 25, 1989 (yes, Taylor Swift's birth year and album title) when Neptune was at 9Cap48 in the Tropical Zodiac. Perhaps you recognize 1989 as the year of the last Great Conjunction/s of Saturn and Neptune, a pair that has much to say in societal and political realms. Meeting three times through the year (March 3, June 24, November 13) in the degree range of 10 to 12 Capricorn, we note that transiting Pluto has very recently stomped on and around this degree of Capricorn, sign of government, law, and business, and remains within orb.

So if we use a 5-degree orb on either side of slow-moving Pluto we see that 4Cap to 14Cap is our focus though its powerful influence has been stronger while applying to the 9/10Cap area where gaseous Neptune floated on August 25, 1989. We have noted Pluto conjoining the Saturn-Neptune conjunction/s of 1989 in previous posts since its implications suit politicians and the corporatists who fund and direct them perfectly within the midpoint picture formed by this significant trio which includes these potentials:

Naturally these potentials apply to both political parties in the US yet I think first of the GOP since 1989 implicates a Republican White House! So when ancient Pluto has its close-up on July 14, 2015 and clocks in from our earthly vantage point at 14Cap, it qualifies as a Pluto-to-Neptune transit for society--ongoing since late November 2010. It marks a period of moral and religious issues such as abortion, mercy killing, executions and methods used, genetic engineering, GMO food contamination, chemically eroded health, racial and minority prejudices acted out, social welfare programs, workers' and Civil Rights as power and control slowly erode via unseen forces--or are seen to be only illusions and delusions.

Several other social concerns of the 1989 era still need to be addressed such as environmental degradation (Earth Day was revived in 1990), climate change, oil spills (now add coal ash leaks, bad water quality, and fracking), droughts and floods, 'mysterious' fish and bird kills, whale beachings, shark attacks, election irregularities, uranium and plutonium leaks, revolutions, conflicts, and topplings of government leaders across the globe along with the Fall of the Berlin Wall (and of Communism) which at the time seemed to justify America claiming victory in the 'Cold War' (which some say has returned). You can think of more examples, I'm certain.

Yet many if not all of these events were and are staged by those who profit from the wars and revolutions they take none of the blame for (denial of guilt) so let us note that on a deeper level the Pluto-to-Neptune transit indicates political, economic, and physical power struggles that actually have as their foundation uplifting spiritual ideals that identify the Collective's deep thirst for honesty, compassion, and clear-eyed solutions instead of the charlatanism, fraud, corruption, and propaganda we and Mother Earth continue to endure and accept at our peril.

Confirmed: Attorney General Loretta Lynch May 21, 1959

Astro-Notes on the Natal Planets and Senate Confirmation of Loretta Lynch

Since Loretta Lynch was finally confirmed by the US Senate as US Attorney General on April 23, 2015 after the longest wait for confirmation in US history, I peeked at her natal planets (May 21, 1959, Greensboro, NC, birth hour unknown so I'm using noon) and was little surprised that a significant transit was in progress: Jupiter stationed direct upon her natal Uranus @12Leo39 on April 8, 2015. Astrological Jupiter on one level represents politicians and legal matters and natal Uranus denotes genius and change, and by sign, how a native behaves.

In soon-to-be-sworn-in Attorney General Lynch's case, the sign of her natal Uranus is Sun-ruled Leo (leadership; pride) and a planetary stationing upon a natal planet designates a very strong emphasis on matters related to the planets involved. Uranus can also be a disruptive influence and there are indications in her natal chart and the transits of her confirmation-vote horoscope that tradition and the upholding of it (or not) will be one of themes during her term as Attorney General. With Jupiter to Uranus, certain skids are greased in the realms of Politics, Finances, and Group Causes and Activities. It's a very inspiring transit full of newness and promise and if negative factors don't interfere overmuch, she will benefit in her new position from the independence and freedom Jupiter suggests for both planets insist upon freedom.

Of interest during the Senate vote for her confirmation which was scheduled for 2:00 pm or so Thursday (4.23.15), her natal Pluto @1Virgo was rising then--the planet of power, transformation, stealth, and wealth. Pluto in Virgo potentially indicates an ability to achieve much with the simplest means, pursuit of scientific objectives with fanatical zeal, a desire to collect, and an inquisitive mind (Ebertin). Natal Pluto conjoins Royal Star Regulus, the planet that represents the US Capitol Building in the original Federal Triangle plan with the star's keywords: success if revenge is avoided. As you know, her ultimate confirmation was never seriously in doubt. The long stalemate was for the sake of political gamesmanship.

You must have heard that her fund-raising opponent Senator Ted Cruz skipped out on the vote entirely since he didn't get his way on blocking Lynch's confirmation--that was a big laugh on Mr. Green Eggs and Ham!

So with such a lofty position in society, it's unsurprising that Lynch's natal planets form a Locomotive pattern of high-powered success and executive ability with natal Mercury @15Taurus leading the engine--her natal Mercury conjoined Midheaven at 2:00 pm Thursday as did transit Mercury (votes and meetings) and had just returned to natal position along with transit Mars in Taurus to natal Mercury denoting a faster pace of life and potentials for verbal combat, energetic discussions and meetings, and/or a large volume of communications.

Actually at 2:00 pm a midpoint picture formed: Mercury-Mars = MC hinting at courage, determination, readiness for action, and an ability to retaliate in a proper way if necessary (Ebertin).

Now 'confirmation Venus' @14Gemini (perhaps representing the lady herself) on Thursday, was and is out-of-bounds as is her natal Venus @12Can25 (near goddess star Sirius @14Cancer, The Shining One or, The Scorcher) and since power and control issues are at stake, we must note that in Lynch's natal horoscope, there is a Grand Cross between her Sun-Jupiter opposition and a Pluto-Chiron opposition which necessarily includes Sun square Pluto and Chiron, and Jupiter square Pluto and Chiron.

Sun square Chiron indicates a life in which socio-cultural issues of authority play a significant part; Jupiter square Chiron hints at severe conflicts at some point due to being at odds with socio-cultural norms; Pluto opposite Chiron (from Virgo to Chiron @27AQ conjunct US natal Moon, We the People) will struggle on behalf of certain archetypal energies that seek to force their way into mass awareness (R. Nolle).

Though in dissociate signs, Lynch's natal Pluto opposing US natal Moon we expect that there will be citizens who resent her authority and control. Transformative plans may be implemented that many see as threatening--and perhaps they will be. Or not. Either way, no easy ride as US Attorney General is promised her by such astrological contacts with the public, historical as her promotion may be. Chiron, the Wounded Healer, in aspect with plutocratic Pluto denotes an influx of exploitation and repression vibes though if her tenure turns out to be oppressive, she's probably following The Script that all must follow if they wish to buy a ticket for the Global Government train. 'Offers they can't refuse', and all that, with no option to do otherwise.

A Sun-Pluto square person is the 'might makes right' kind of mindset while a Jupiter-Pluto square indicates a wheeler-dealer who may exaggerate burdens to justify neglect of responsibilities and engages in large scale enterprises where great returns may be expected from little effort! (Pelletier).

Solar-Lunar Notes

As for Loretta Lynch's Sun-Moon personality blend, the Moon remained in Scorpio for the 24-hour period of May 21, 1959 but the Sun changed signs--from very late Taurus to 00Gem00:00 at 2:42:05 pm EST. So if born before that time, she has a muddy Sun Taurus-Moon Scorpio blend of Earth-Water; afterwards, the influence is a Sun Gem-Moon Sco blend of Air-Water energies.

Let's consider a few notes on both combinations:

The claim-your-territory blend of Sun Tau-Moon Sco describes an impassioned leader of social causes and a shrewd business person. Independent, protective, 'bossy', and resourceful are hallmarks along with staying power, perception, and a willful stubbornness. Risk and challenge are sought and a change of mind seldom occurs. Chart-ruler Venus @22Gem31 is posited in the 9th house of Philosophy, Religion, Foreign Lands and Long-Distance Travel and makes two applying Ptolemaic (major) aspects:

First, Venus squares Saturn Rx @24Vir00 in the 12th house of Politics, Large Institutions, Back Rooms, Karma, Self-Undoing, and Secret Enemies which denotes regrets over lack of money, wishes that once achieved may be disappointing, and neglect of burdens and responsibilities. The Mercury-NN (North Node, a point of encounter and destiny) involves mixed potentials for: new corridors of transportation, inefficient transportation methods, coordinated joint efforts, theft of material or information, and/or smuggling or other unlawful activities that use transportation systems.

Mercury-NN also relates to the Media, discussions and conferences, and joint plans. With Sun and Moon there we see potentials for the enhancement of communications, a focus on the importance of messages, details meant for the general public, locating people to gather information (GPS; NSA surveillance, etc), reactions about how others use information or data, using associates to research and/or disseminate info, intellectual associations, a desire to tell other people our troubles and to share thoughts and ideas (Munkasey; Ebertin). Curiously, the Solar Eclipse @7Taurus conjoins fixed star Schedir (alpha Cassiopeia; demonic power), The Queen, which implies a nod to the super-wealthy British monarchy. The eclipse is in the 2 Old North Saros Series with themes of personal relationships (more Venus-Mars battle-of-the-sexes vibes), unfortunate news, separations, partings, and glumness though results may turn out more positively than they first appeared (paraphrasing Brady's Predictive Astrology).

Also notable is the inconjunct (quincunx) between the two societal planets, Jupiter and Saturn from 6th house of Work, Health, and Service (Military, Police, Civil, etc). Of course, Saturn is in Virgo, the sign of Work of a Dedicated Variety and here it's working behind the scenes or in isolation. Jupiter plays many roles suitable for the planet of increase and expansion and wears the hat of The General when wars are waged. Feb 3 2015 Leo Full Moon conjoins fixed star Dubhe

On Tuesday February 3, 2015 a Full Moon @14Leo47 perfects at 6:08:54 pm est across the 6/12 axis in a horoscope set for Washington DC. Along with Dubhe, the Full Moon rises with Jupiter Rx @18Leo00 conjunct the degree of the August 11, 1999 Solar Eclipse which heralded New Millennium 'terror' and our subsequent global economic woes. Jupiter continues as the handle planet of a Bucket planetary pattern thus linking chart hemispheres and the actors (planets) opposite.

Sun @14AQ47 falls in the 6th house of Work, Health, and Service (military, police, civil, domestic), and Daily Tasks and with the Moon is part of a Focused YOD along with the Pluto-Chiron sextile.

Pluto-Chiron = plutocracy, oppression, exploitation, primal violence

The Pluto-Chiron sextile (the base of the YOD pattern pointing toward the Moon and by opposition, the Sun) denotes spokesmen and those who have a "finger on the mass pulse" (Nolle). Pluto @14Cap18 in 5th house applies to a final square (0A55) with Uranus--here @13Ari22 in 8th house (exact on March 16). The ongoing Saturn-Neptune square from 4th house to 7th continues to bellyache over its social burdens such as the funding of America's safety net programs and other social needs of the populace. My suspicion is that the Full Moon's close encounter with fixed star Dubhe points primarily toward US foreign policy for fixed star Dubhe is the alpha star of constellation Ursa Major, the Great She-Bear, and as everyone knows, this is a traditional archetypal symbol for Russia. Potential expressions of Dubhe include: destruction, arrogance (A. Louis), a martial nature (Ptolemy), nastiness (Ebertin), strong feminine powers, intuition, psychism, persistence, endurance, and quiet strength (Brady).

Visions of an angry, protective she-bear appear with the February 3rd Full Moon in dramatic Leo! Yes, paternalistic egos may be viciously defended yet examples of the star's Mars-inspired energies include Princess Diana's natal Venus which is linked by paran to Dubhe and, as Ebertin notes, Dubhe links with the natal Moon of China's Mao Tse Tung who advised his political operatives (and all future politicians with an infiltrating mission) that,

Since the East Coast earthquake/s around 3 years ago the Washington Monument was been closed for repairs of fissures and cracks until today when it re-opened to the public.

Now here's a brief consideration in an April post about the stars overhead some of DC's Federal Triangle monuments--it's A Brief View of the Stars Over Washington DC.

A Brief View of the Stars Over Washington DC

When Pierre L'Enfant laid out three major landmarks of the Federal City he reflected the triangular pattern of three stars in the heavens: Arcturus (the White House), royal Regulus in zodiacal Leo (the Capitol Building), and Spica (the Washington Monument.) In the Zodiac two of the stars are in Libra as astrologers use them now yet constellation Virgo is the prime influence upon the planners and architects--the Freemasons--of Washington DC.

Arcturus (alpha Bootes; Greek: the Bear Watcher; aka, Al Simak by Arabian astrologers--'the one on high') conferred its guardian function upon the Executive Branch of government with the White House situated so that its inhabitants could 'keep an eye' on Congress and vice versa. However, subsequent constructions within the Federal Triangle have interfered with such a function as L'Enfant (and Andrew Ellicott) intended.

Another diverting of L'Enfant's original plan for the 'Dream City' of George Washington is the Washington Monument which had to be re-located due to its weight when the cornerstone was laid at noon on July 4, 1848 when the Moon and North Node (aka, the Dragon's Head) were in Virgo. Previously the White House cornerstone was laid at noon on October 13, 1792--also with the Moon and Dragon's Head in Virgo. George Washington laid the cornerstone of the Capitol Building on September 18, 1793 with Sun, Mercury, and Dragon's Head in Virgo.

All cornerstone layings were performed with Masonic ceremony including that for the Federal City itself (April 21, 1791 at 3:30 pm, also by Freemason George Washington.) The City's natal Jupiter of 1791 falls upon the 23rd degree of Virgo, the position of our national Neptune (July 4, 1776) which is actually a transit to America's natal horoscope indicating potentials for spiritual awareness, inspired expansion, and promotion yet with fanaticism and paranoia lurking underneath. Well, it seems that Jupiter-Neptune themes of fraud and grand promises are embedded into Washington DC--and therefore the nation and the US government--from their very founding.

When Sirius is linked into the gestalt of a horoscope it lustrously shines and brings wealth, success, and good fortune in government yet Sirius may also scorch for its energy is strong and hard to handle well--in fact, honesty is required for best results. Sad to say, our current crop of government-undermining entities and agents are proving themselves fanatically determined to scorch America's wings and besmirch our nation's centuries-long reputation as the One Nation Among Many and an idealistic model of the light of freedom, equality, and independence for the entire world.

As for America's extreme leaning away from democracy toward plutocracy now coming to fruition, we see it partially through the Virgo lens via The Virgin holding wheat sheafs or corn (the matrix of life.) These are nurturing symbols also associated with goddess Ceres, another feminine archetype with an Isis vibe. (Two examples are found on top of the Capitol Dome, and in New York harbor via the Enlightenment/Illuminati-infused Statue of Liberty made of copper, the metal of Venus.)

And when we look to America's natal Venus in nurturing yet business-loving Cancer and to our natal Ceres in Pisces, we find evidence of Corporatism (US Venus conjunct corporate Jupiter) and Plutocracy via our Pluto-Chiron midpoint of oppression and primal violence conjoining US natal Ceres (security; food supply.) Unfortunately, we've bowed to Science and allowed Corporate America complete control of our food supply and the farming industry and now it's easy to see one particular result--Monsanto's genetically modified, patented seeds which can't reproduce and must be re-purchased for each planting.

(Weather modification affecting climate and planting seasons that tend to create conditions of famine are beyond the scope of this post though you can certainly think of several other examples of corporate interference that cause and will cause much suffering and loss for the people when the power elite decide the time is 'right'.)

Yet in spite of it all and even though the entire project of expansion into the New World we call 'America' was funded by and as a corporation, it does not necessarily follow that We the People must be trampled underneath the hooves of wealthy plutocrats who intend to depopulate the globe so that there are more natural resources to nourish them!

So will you vote in November 2014 and show the world's greedy plutocrats that the American people are determined to keep our republic on the democratic side of history's ledger? I hope for the sake of our nation's future and the future of our children that you will.

A 'Fiscal Cliff' Resolution Around the December 28, 2012 Full Moon?

A few days ago, Mother Jones published an enlightening article What's Happening: Fiscal Cliff Explained, in case you missed it or haven't been paying much attention to the end-of-2012 Political Theater performances about to continue on Capitol Hill.

As you know, it was Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke who coined the term "fiscal cliff" back in Summer 2011 during the last performances of America's debt and deficit crises which, thanks to the grandstanding gridlock acted out by Republicans and the Tea Party congressmen they hide behind--plus, their foils, the Democrats--our nation received its first-ever credit downgrade since records began to be kept in 1918. We can thank the GOP for that. Apparently Mr. Bernanke wished to spur Congress on to doing their jobs efficiently and stop the political-ideological stalemate but as we know, it didn't have that effect in 2011.

That this is a set up to force an unacceptable agenda upon the American people may be the case, and in fact, Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr calls the "fiscal cliff" a "foolish austerity bomb" created by the US Congress with Democrats playing 'good cops' and Republicans starring as the 'bad cops'.

Now with the re-election of President Obama this November 6th, most Americans must pin hopes on his determination to protect our working class families while assuming that Congress will actually govern as per Capitol Hill tradition, yet who can say? The "fiscal cliff" (or, hill, slope, curve, whatever) won't actually take quick effect precisely at 12:00 am est on January 1, 2013, of course, but will soon become more obvious as the November 2011 sequestration cuts affect social programs, the Pentagon budget, and other programs--the dispensable and the indispensable alike--and lead us back into recession (aka, depression.) The tactics being used in Washington are like a slow austerity throttling of the US economy not unlike the European model if carried to extremes as 2013 proceeds.

Unless the White House ploy to allow the Bush tax cuts to expire on January 1, 2013 @12:00 am est and then pass new tax cuts for the 99% after we slip slide into 2013 is an honest plan.

America's Militant Mars Must Cool His Heels

Of course, astrologers know that America's natal Geminian Mars (war, action, energy, initiative, police forces, etc) turned retrograde by progression in 2006 (in Libra) while Bush was 'manning the helm' and his wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were in full swing and overtopping the national credit card, creating in large part our fiscal problems Now. The Rx period of our Mars will last approximately another 74 years--80 years all together--and it echoes the same Mars condition of Germany during their difficulties decades ago. You've probably noticed recent references by US pundits and journalists to the Weimar Republic (natal chart data given below), begun by the socialist revolution of 1918 which preceded by two decades Hitler's rise to power in the 1930s. (That's a second mention of 1918 in this post.)

Now political pundits on my TV say that even the GOP doesn't want sequestration to take effect for it would slash our military budget though I suspect it has as much to do with their share holding status in weapons companies and other war-profitting endeavors as it does maintaining America's hold on global territories and the natural resources and antiquities of other nations. Feel free to disagree, but there it is.

Horoscopes shown: January 1, 2013 12:00 am est ('Fiscal Cliff'/Tax Cuts Expire) and December 28, 2012's Full Moon

Before we consider the horoscope of the December Full Moon, let's view the later horoscope for January 1, 2013 at 12:00 am est, set for the Capitol Building. The chart's Midheaven @8Can16 (MC = The Goal; Aspirations) highlights the December 28, 2012 Full Moon, and I believe the Full Moon chart (below) shows most clearly the "fiscal cliff" potential and what is so far another congressional stalemate as a major YOD pattern (crisis; turning point; crossroads; special task; karmic opportunity) involving Jupiter Rx(planet of money, bankers, generals, professors, priests, beliefs, ideals, and ideologies); Jupiter also happens to conjoin US natal Uranus 8Gem55 placing both planets at apex in the YOD configuration with a Saturn-Pluto sextile at its base.

Since Full Moon phases bring culmination or fulfillment, perhaps the January 1, 2013 expiration (sunsetting) of the Bush tax cuts with tax increases for All, and the purposefully engineered "fiscal cliff" threat, may not be addressed by our barely functioning Congress until around December 28th or in the few days prior to New Year's Day 2013--or after. Our political thespians do like to keep We the People on the edge of cliffs of all kinds, don't they?

Actually, investing Jupiter doesn't perform his Direct Station (when financial matters can move forward) until January 30, 2013 @6Gem19 (in the foundational 4th house of the chart set for DC.) Tr Jupiter will again conjoin US n Uranus 8:55, a favorable time for politics, finances, and group endeavors (more on this transit, below.)

Yet There's Trouble Before We Rest

Yes, it's an Hour of Mars, planet of conflict, and the ASC @8Sag33 brings up Royal Star Antares (quarrels, suspicions, violence) opposite Aldebaran (military leadership, courage, warmongering) which sets with Jupiter 8Gem07 Rx, tr Midas, tr Pan, and US natal Uranus--quite a fiscal and political pile-up. The Sun-Pluto combo denotes policy changes foreign or domestic, influence coming from crime organizations and from plutocrats, extreme amounts of corruption, and/or the use of secret police to control others. A Sun-Saturn sextile shows a tendency to be careless over large expenditures and programs, yet uncompromisingly penny wise-pound foolish over smaller matters. Limits and boundaries are of prime concern with this sextile so Washington's usual overstepping tendencies may be held in check, at least for a while.

Yes, the pairing of Sun-Jupiter relates to our national reputation on the world stage, religious or philosophical concepts that tie our country to predetermined outcomes (congressional sequestration; the Norquist no-tax-increase pledge, disadvantageous trade deals, etc), and/or an executive leader battling the justice system of a nation (because of Election Day 2012 re-counts or fraud? Other?) This Full Moon casts a silvery reflection upon January 1, 2013 at 12:00 am est when the foolhardy, unaffordable 'Bush tax cuts' are set to expire (as originally set up in 2001) unless a lame duck session in December is used by the president in some way, or a deal is made to fight that fight in 2013 while extending in 2012 much-needed tax cuts for those with incomes under a certain amount such as $250,000 for a couple.

As you know, tax cut monies the Middle Class and workers receive are soon put back into the economy while additional funds for the wealthy only sit sunning on a Cayman Islands beach while having a cocktail and good belly laugh over the forcing the fallacy of 'trickle down economics" on us again.)

Jupiter orbits faster than quirky Uranus as chart-ruler is involved in an applying sextile with 4th H Uranus (Uranus = radical reformers and zealots when in Mars-ruled Aries) denoting valuable opportunities for success and growth which may be presented by those of a different generation. This condition echoes the generational conflicts and uprisings the world now experiences through the Uranus-Pluto Cardinal square. Original, adventurous ideas are indicated by the Jupiter-Uranus sextile in fields such as teaching, politics, philosophy, finances, science, religion, and astrology though some of those affected by this sextile may become resentful and harshly critical of others even though it's the beam in their own eyes that need attention. The Republican Party comes to mind.

Planning Mercury @25Sag10, ruler of 7th and 10th Hs, is in 1st H and in Nodal degree (fated or karmic; NN-SN @25Sco-Tau29 across the 6/12 axis); Mercury rules commerce and trade as well as communications and is related to stock markets, with the Nodal axis related to encounters and to future and past directions. And since Mercury and the separative SN are inconjunct (need for adjustments), we may expect a falling back on past behaviors ('debt-default crisis' of August 2011?) at SN even though such neurotic behavior does the American people no good and may further undermine our country's future.

Now as you see, there is a Kite pattern in the chart (a Grand Trine, plus) with the Sun-Moon opposition of the Full Moon part of the high-flying picture. In fact, Sun and Pluto make up the nose while the Moon is the Kite's tail and is conjunct, as noted, Fixed Star, Mirzam (aka, Murzims; Beta Canis Major: carrying a message--Brady) which may relate to a message from We the People directed toward our government, or a message concerning a myriad of various things as conflicts turn up (Jupiter square Chiron) and the oppressive, violent Plutocracy duo of Pluto and Chiron, here in an opportunistic sextile aspect, keeps 'its' finger on the public pulse and contacts us through spokesmen/women who, though they may wish to hide it, are agents for the promotion of global governance more than they are American politicians with We the People's interests on top of their to-do list.

Now since chart-ruler Jupiter is retrograde, the delays and stalling it causes will be mitigated or released once the planet's Direct Station occurs on January 30, 2013, as noted. Applying Jupiter forms an inconjunct with the Sun 7Cap05 (1A01), a square with Chiron (2A14), a sextile with Uranus (3A24), and a helpful trine with Mars (6A14.) If we take the Sun to signify President Obama, we see that he will meet with Pluto of the plutocrats and/or, the underworld, by year's end. A Sun-Jupiter inconjunct shows those who must be on guard for opportunists using the ideas of others as their own; taking over what should be the responsibilities of others may be evident, and moderation in all things is advised.

At MC (The Goal), we find America's problematic n Neptune 22Vir25 and our Progressed Neptune 26Vir12 Rx, too. This places Us natal Mars 22Gem in 7th H of Partnerships and brings with it the difficult Mars-Neptune square our nation is famous for: misdirected energy; unconscious motivations; self-deception; the fog of war.)

Now you see the Kite pattern with the Full Moon as Kite's tail; Sun and Pluto are at its head with restrictive saturn ruling both, plus the 2nd H of Earning Ability and Resources, while Saturn himself @9Sco15 is posited in 11th H of Hopes/Wishes, Groups and Associations. Mars 1AQ52 in 2nd H is ruled (or, co=-ruled with Uranus) by Saturn as well and has just conjoined US Inaugural Sun, a time of increased energy and determination for the president.

Naturally this makes it a breeze to see which US natal houses are affected by which actors (planets) at Winter Solstice 2012 as it aligns with Galactic Center (as the Mayans knew--visit Neptune Cafe for the scoop!)

Plus, the December 21, 2012 horoscope contains a YOD pattern ('Finger of God' which I believe should be credited to Erin Sullivan) with Jupiter in Airy Gemini at apex (details included.) Jupiter is actually transiting US natal Uranus 8Gem55, a time when We the People will have reason to become more aware of freedom and independence issues, group activities may be highlighted, and our personal networks expand (not another new social media site to join? As you know, the last conjunction/s of Jupiter and Uranus occurred from 2010 into 2011 which makes it our current phase in their 14-year cycle:

3. Jan 4, 2011 @ 27Pis02.

You note that the late Pisces degrees have recently been traversed in its retrograde phase by speedy Mercury and will be so again...Jupiter/Uranus = Mercury: abundant thoughts; a fortunate turn (Ebertin.) The 2010/2011 time frame has many political implications which I have no time to detail for you now but a Search Bar is located in SO'W's sidebar if you wish to sleuth. However, my first thought is last week's SCOTUS arguments on 'Obamacare', the Affordable Health Care Act.

There was also a significant Bilderberg Meeting in June 2010 held in Barcelona, Spain and relating to the ongoing 'debt crisis' that's been trumped up by the global banking syndicate in an attempt to set up a world central bank of totalitarian proportions--a lousy idea, imho. During the conference, the Moon reached Aries Point conjoining Jupiter and Uranus, squared by wealthy Pluto 4Cap36 Rx (June 6, 2010 7:49:35 am CEDT Barcelona, Spain, with US natal Jupiter 5Can56 rising...'6Can' = "Game Birds Feathering Their Nests." Happy President's Day!

On Tuesday, February 21, 2012, a new cycle of activity and projects begins with a New Moon @ 3Pis42 in 7th house of Partnerships and Open Enemies when the horoscope is set for Washington DC. Perfecting on Tuesday at 5:34 pm est, one of the Royal Stars of Persia, Regulus 00Vir01 (success if revenge is avoided) rises, ASC 00Vir01.

At The Goal or WHY? Point of the chart (MC 25Tau12) are two stars associated with the Middle East (Capulus and Algol: rage!) so perhaps a new phase of action concerning US occupations in the region will be on display (MC) or is to be announced.

It's a Moon Hour, suitable for changes, fluctuations, and concerns of our daily lives, and chart-ruler Mercury 14Pis29 (7th H) conjoins another Fixed Star, Achernar, indicating a potential for crisis, particularly at the 'end of the river', or relating to liquids.


Mercury-Mars Tells the New Moon Tale

Mercury applies to only one aspect with another planet in the chart--Mars 17Vir47 Rx (at critical or crisis degree); Mercury rules 1st H as noted, 2nd H (cusp 23Vir41 which is conjoined by US natal Neptune and President Obama's natal Mars 22Vir35) showing some confusion, deception, or over promising in the area of Money (2/8 axis with Venus 15Ari56 inconjunct Mars---adjustments needed in Venusian evaluations v Mars reactions with Mars Rx)--and a crisis-degreed 11th H--cusp 29Gem42 showing stress in Groups and Associations.

An unaspected Uranus 2Ari45 is also posited in 7th H and once again conjoins asteroid Hermes (magician-trickster) so we may 'expect the unexpected' during the next two weeks with possibly a culmination or fulfillment at the next Full Moon.

Obviously the unaspected condition of disruptive, quirky planet Uranus means that anything may happen--early, late, or never--and this can be positive or negative. I think of the lady skier who survived the avalanche disaster--she pulled the cord on a new-fangled airbag and it saved her life--Uranus advances new-fangled technology and by its Sky rulership, relates to Air--my warm congratulations to her!

Since a chart-ruler's applying aspects tell us how things will proceed, I'm calling the Mercury-Mars opposition (3A19) across the 1/7 axis the main driver of this New Moon even though it is ruled by Jupiter and co-ruled by Neptune (the speculator-wastrel-grand schemes pair--and with Neptune in its sign of Pisces @ 00:42, what are the chances We the People are being shined on once again in economic matters? ("1 Pis" = "A Public Market", the symbol for America's Pre-Natal Eclipse degree 00Pi33; this gives a potential Sun/Moon = Neptune picture of deception, delusions, discontent, mistakes, misunderstandings, shared suffering, and/or undermined relationships for the US.)


Jupiter and Pluto's Last Exact Trine March 9

Of course, the Big Banking-Fed combo of Jupiter 5Tau38 (in the Jolly One's own house of Philosophy and Education) and Pluto 8Cap58 (in 5th H of Risk-Taking, Gambling, and Children) are trining one another helpfully so opportunities abound for finances, perhaps in banking and almost assuredly in campaign funding. Oppositions always denote relationship and/or awareness issues; thinking Mercury opposing action-taking Mars (still Rx, so the planet of conflict is reacting and reviewing Mercurial plans more than acting at the moment) indicates restless impatience, mental superiority that may cause others to feel threatened, and a tendency to quarrel when compromise would achieve more positive results for everyone involved.

However, there will be others provoking confrontations and conflicts, lots of criticism, and a lack of popularity that issues from such cantankerous behavior. If Mars Rx can refuse to argue (Mr. Obama's Mars Return still in progress with its third and last conjunction June 18, 2012), then things can be resolved especially since there is much mental acuity and, when made steadier by maturity, an ability to listen to others before making or acting on decisions.

1st Meteor Shower of 2012: Quadrantids peak Morning of Jan 4 2012

Just what I always wanted: a lovely yet 'elusive' meteor shower for my birthday tomorrow!

FIRST METEOR SHOWER OF 2012: The annual Quadrantid meteor shower peaks on Wednesday morning, Jan. 4th, when Earth passes through a narrow stream of debris from a comet thought to have broken apart some 500 years ago.

The shower is expected to be strong (as many as 100 meteors per hour), but elusive, with a peak that lasts no longer than a couple of hours. The shower's radiant near Polaris favors observers in the northern hemisphere.

Glad to say I'm not quite feeling 500 years old for this annual personal event--the Sun returns to natal position in my horoscope on Jan 4, 2012 around 5:30 am est!

And Polaris. Ah yes, path finding pioneer Polaris, our 'Pole Star' or 'North Star' by which we find our way...aka, Alpha Ursa Minor (Little Bear) and to which Astrology assigns a theme of 'an emotional or nurturing mission'.

As described in Brady's Book of Fixed Stars, "Polaris is always at culmination as it is the point of stillness, the celestial pole."

Now that's what I'll be pondering in the crisp, still morning air if I should manage to shuffle my bunny slippers outside around 5 am tomorrow and look up...
