A Republican Las Vegas Debate with Pluto Rising in Leo and Virgo

The fifth and last of 2015, tonight's Republican debate in Las Vegas, Nevada should be interesting if you're in the mood for campaign promises on a national stage and perhaps some entertaining political fireworks which the networks and pundits are longing for. CNN and Facebook will host; follow the link for more details.
Astrologically it seems curious to me that in the natal charts of five candidates: Trump, Carson, Bush, Cruz, and Rubio--all have their natal Plutos rising or just risen as the show begins! Pluto's power principle is of course a major part of Politics and the stealthy one's manipulation tendencies are vital for propaganda purposes, publicity included. Pluto in dramatic Leo naturally expects to rule by force while Pluto in Virgo possesses zealous and fanatical tendencies for whatever is acquired. It's generational as Baby Boomers Meet...whatever you call Cruz and Rubio's 1970s generation...X?
Thing is, it isn't only their Plutos appearing tonight it's natal Pluto's condition in each chart so, with my blogging time brief today, I've taken a tiny peek to see what baggage their Plutos bring along. In chronological order of birth:
Donald Trump (June 14, 1946) was born in the Pluto in Leo generation as was Jeb Bush. Trump's natal Pluto @10Leo 'leads the pack' by degree (though it's his quirky 10th house Uranus that leads actually his natal planets in a Bowl shape making him a wild card candidate who tends to disruptively say out loud what others won't say.) His Pluto is unaspected, however, so his power principle knows no interference, thank you, and this we've seen during his campaign. It is apex in a midpoint picture which we've also seen and it's a difficult one: Mars-Saturn (the death axis) = Pluto: the need to take control; forcing an issue; strong anger (Tyl); brutality (Ebertin.) Sound familiar?
Ben Carson (September 18, 1951) has natal Pluto @20Leo conjunct his Mars @19Leo, a major indicator of surgery or the surgeon that he was. As a pair they also describe one who makes excessive efforts to achieve goals. Unconscious anger, manipulation, and taking 'controlled action' (as in surgery) are denoted. Carson's natal Pluto conjoins his natal Psyche with both Pluto and the archetype involved in Psychology or Psychiatry. (That's Psyche, not 'psycho'.) His Mars and Pluto are apex of a midpoint: Sun-Uranus = Mars: combativeness; rash action. And with Pluto the independnt pair of Sun and Uranus give a strong drive for power (Tyl.) (
Jeb Bush (February 11, 1953) as stated was born with a Leonine Pluto opposing natal Sun in Aquarius,a natal Sun within range of US natal Moon (uh oh--this can be a presidential indicator.) Sun-Pluto people crave power and control and usually have ways of attaining this (Poppy Bush has been Jeb's ticket.)
Ted Cruz (December 22, 1970) is one of two with Pluto in Virgo conjoining his natal Sisyphus--and you know how determined that manifests. A descriptive midpoint picture involves the power planet--Sun-Pluto = Saturn @16Tau08 Rx ('17Tau' is the "swords vs torches" degree we discussed previously...... and this adds potentials for his wild tendencies to be blocked (ex: no, Ted, you cannot shut down the US government a second time and waste millions of taxpayer dollars) and restraining one's fanatical tendencies (Munkasey.) Note that this midpoint picture between Sun-Pluto-Saturn is formed by a Fist of God pattern, aka, Thor's Hammer.
The last candidate I'm considering here is Marco Rubio (May 28, 1971) with Pluto in Virgo and a Thor's Hammer pattern between Venus-Mars and Pluto which gives him potentials for passion, envy, and stealth. Using sex for power is also indicated though I know of no scandals of that nature, so far, only his financial troubles denoted by his Jupiter-Neptune conjunction in Sagittarius. (Mr. Cruz has the Jupiter-Neptune 'grand spirit' with over-promising and wastrel issues as well though his Jupiter is in corporate Scorpio, not Sag--both have Neptune @1Sag+). And perhaps Rubio's 'passion' is intensified by the asteroid conjunct his natal Pluto for it's sexy, glamorous Lilith who should feel right at home tonight as Senator Rubio debates his opponents in Sin City!
Although we still don't have his birth hour here is an informative analysis of the strengths and weaknesses in the natal chart of 2016 candidate Bernie Sanders along with the planetary influences of Election Day 2016.
Yes, the planetary portents look strong for Senator Sanders though last evening's tragic attacks in Paris may hinder presidential chances for any Democrat (of course Sanders is a bit different as a Democratic Socialist) though negatives may cling more specifically to Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State. Still, Republicans adore any opening for denigrating Democrats as being 'soft on terrorism' so we'll see how they spin the Paris attacks politically and how easy such meringue goes down the gullet of the voting public--especially since many things can happen between now and November 8, 2016.
Yet it's highly predictable that Republicans will attempt to frost both Clinton and Sanders as second rate to any one of them as presidential 'tough guys' but the cherry on top will probably go to Hillary Clinton since the GOP expects to be running against her and her formidable popularity come Election Day.
So Who Will Be 'The Other' on Election Day 2016?
Written way back in July 2015 with an update since, here's what evening star Venus has to do with US presidential election outcomes especially the one on November 8, 2016. Voters want "someone different" pundits are saying in reference to the non-politicians who are running--like Ben Carson and Donald Trump though a female president or a Democratic Socialist could satisfy the desire of Venus in Sagittarius quite well. A victorious Senator Sanders might in a sense be considered of a 'rival party' to the Obama wing of the Democrats--unless you count BHO a Republican!
So I wonder if pundits and reporters who say voters want "someone different" know about the Venus Cycle in US Politics: Venus in her own sign of Libra vs Venus in Sagittarius, sign of The Foreigner, or, The Stranger?
Nah! It's more likely that talking heads and their think tanks had to come up with a plausible excuse for why establishment candidates of the Republican persuasion are so far polling like yesterday's stinky catfish.

If lawmakers don't act sooner, December 11, 2015's New Moon @19Sag03 will imprint its expansive Jupiterian energies (Sag) upon a balking US Congress and the 2015 appropriations bill, so at this point, a government shutdown lurks within the shadows of the New Moon, the seeding phase. As you know, there is a 'dark of the Moon' Balsamic phase for three days prior to a New Moon perfection and a bit after. The New Moon perfects at 5:29 am est on Friday December 11, 2015 and, also on December 11, the Moon enters a void-of-course period beginning at 11:06 am est until reaching Capricorn (sign of government, law, and business) on Saturday December 12 at 1:46 am est.
So for the 12/11/15 deadline (if they stick to that date), action taken before 11:06 am est that day may turn out okay but if Capitol Hill politicians want nothing to come of the appropriations bill (and I suspect there are dozens of zealots who want nothing because they're cheering for a shutdown), they should start the action, take votes, whatever--during the lunar void-of-course period of December 11, 2015 (11:06 am) into Saturday December 12 (after 1:46 am.)
Unless, of course, they've already taken care of the people's business concerning this economic matter and have successfully passed the dratted thing.

For me, the primary points brought out in yesterday's hearing concern the over dramatized brouhaha over Hillary Clinton's emails particularly from her friend Sidney Blumenthal and the lack of emails to her from Ambassador Chris Stevens: the fact that State Department communiques were and are by cable, phone, conference calls, and in person--not by email. Seems Republicans were off the mark on that one along with their misunderstanding (or ignoring) of the government protocol of the State Department which Ambassador Stevens necessarily followed to contact the security officials who made the decisions.
Then there's the decreased funding for embassy security budgets thanks to the US Congress which were made critical in 2011 along with automatic Sequestration cuts soon taking effect. You'll remember that Sequestration austerity along with the 'Super Congress' idea intended to deflect criticism came to fruition under the sinister auspices of a difficult Solar Eclipse @2Sag35--where accountability-bringer Saturn now trods. Immediately after the tragedy, I suspect the Obama administration's attempt to hide the Benghazi attacks under cover of a controversial video protest rather than as a terrorist event (in an election year) was also intended to deflect criticism, a politically motivated tactic which the Republican Party has used many times themselves and will do so again. After all, Washington DC is based more on fakery than truth and when truth does come out it's usually extremely inconvenient. That's a good reason for considering eclipses affecting the city and the US government since as Uranian 'wild cards of the Universe', eclipses tend to suddenly reveal hidden truths and dark secrets for all to see!
It will be interesting to tune in tonight (10.23.15) at 9:00 pm edt to MSNBC's Rachel Maddow Show to hear Rachel's interview with 2016 candidate Hillary Clinton. No, I am not a Hillary fan but will vote on November 8, 2016 for a dirty mop before I vote Republican.

With another political stunt by scorched-earth Republicans on the horizon, Capitol Hill's irresponsible Government Shutdown of 2013 holds bitter memories for many Americans including those engaged in business start-ups, as Jeremy Quittner details. In 2013, the political-jacka*s shutdown of the US government was allegedly perpetrated over Obamacare and predictably ended in failure for Republicans who took the majority if not all of the blame for wasting money, causing hardship for certain government departments, loss and disruption for the civil servants who work for paychecks, and 'governing' in breach of the public trust and contract. Some have called it treason and obviously, We the People cannot trust the anarchistic zealots and usurpers not to pull the same undermining stunt again, perhaps around the end of September when the fiscal budget expires and Congress is traditionally required do one of its jobs and fund government operations. However, their stupidity may peak in October whether a cyclical Shemitah is in force or not.
So in spite of the usual misdirected energy of certain politicians (with ulterior motives of shrinking the US government so it can be dispensed with and replaced in their beastly image), it is my understanding that there is already a law on the books that government funds (taxpayer money, one assumes) cannot be used to support abortions at Planned Parenthood facilities if that's genuinely their worry. In that case, what's the point of a government shutdown over funding an organization that provides women with health screenings and other necessary medical exams and counseling? And with an astounding amount of cognitive dissonance, the GOP insists they fight no 'War On Women' but how can women agree with such obvious hypocrisy? Apparently they think Americans are even stupider than they are and women stupider still!
Okay, this woman will hush for now but here's a recent post with informative videos (one from Ed Schultz) concerning the chances of a 2015 shutdown and the misbegotten shutdown of 2013 but you'll have to supply your own green eggs and ham.
September 17, 2015: after last night's Republican debate/s, their lack of ideas may seem obvious to many of us and as usual, policy discussions were not their strong point. However, I tend to see them as having plenty of ideas and definite about their policies. It's just that revealing draconian Republican ideas and policies of heartless austerity and anti-democratic legislation before an election would be a sure avenue to defeats so massive that even their gerrymandering, voter suppression, and ballot tampering couldn't justify alleged GOP victories!

Yes, the number of Americans who score themselves as 'religious' has fallen to an all-time low which must make international bankers and corporatists such as the Houses of Rothschild and Rockefeller and other World War III promoters such as Adam Weishaupt of Bavarian Illuminati fame (May 1, 1776), Confederate General Albert Pike (still with his statue standing at the foot of Capitol Hill!), Mazzini (colleague of Pike and creator of the organized Mafia), and modern Zionists (the ruling hierarchy, not the Jewish people) thrilled that their 'Great' Plan is proceeding so well and full implementation of a satanic 'new world order' is on the verge of fruition--or so they arrogantly assume.

As you know, the two-year cycle of Mars indicates a new cycle of energy beginning for everyone when the planet of energy and motivation comes round again to natal degree and sign.
Astrologically, Regulus links closely with Mr. Trump's natal Mars and Ascendant (The Self) and to this ancient and archetypal star is attached a caution when it comes to achieving goals and desires: 'success if revenge is avoided'. So I must doubt that anyone would disagree that his 'if they attack me I attack them back' stance of revenge denotes difficulties in that sphere and implies that a loss of what was gained may be the result for Donald Mars Rising with Regulus Trump. If you're like me, a bully on a playground comes readily to mind with such a prominent Mars.
Plus, he and the other candidates have five months more before the first primary vote is cast--plenty of time for the Republican field to shift--perhaps away from this political provocateur!

By now you know that tonight is the first Republican primary debate/s with the first ('happy hour') group onstage at 5:00 pm edt and the main line-up on air (FOX channel or MSNBC) to begin at 9:00 pm edt including Donald Trump. It will be a very long evening of Politics and campaign promises, folks.
Update August 7, 2015: last night's two Republican debates resulted in rather predictable fashion with the lion-esque Donald Trump giving back as good as he got, Governor John Kasich acquitting himself well even on the topic of Medicaid, and Carly Fiorina rising above the rest as astrological factors suggested in a previous post. The lowest notes in the symphony were struck by Ben Carson and Rand Paul; the role of youngster of the evening was played by Senator Mario Rubio.
Then at 10:00 pm edt, yours truly is scheduled to be interviewed by Rob McConnell on The 'X' Zone Radio Show concerning Political Astrology. This is a global broadcast originating in Ontario Canada and will be aired Live from 10--11:00 pm edt (7:00 pm pdt). Since the first Republican primary debate is scheduled for this Thursday August 6, 2015 at 9:00 pm Eastern let's peek at the conscious and unconscious energies that combine for the 'debate'. The Junior Varsity team will be onstage earlier (5:00 pm) for the overflow candidates who didn't make FOX's 'cut' to be onstage at 9:00 pm. Yet a few pundits have floated the idea that the 5:00 pm performances may be more impressive than the main show - for one reason, at 5 pm, Donald Trump won't be hogging the limelight like the Regulus Rising Lion he is. So they say, that is.
Anyway, at either 5 pm or 9 pm, the Sun is in its own royal sign of Leo (the Lion) squaring off with the Moon in Venus-ruled Taurus (the Bull) which spotlights self-seeking showmen with illusions of grandeur, dictatorial yet pragmatic administrators, and egocentric, shrewd individuals. A splash will be made by someone, perhaps two someones, and a proud grandiosity will be prominent along with expressions of motivating visions, ideals, and fantasies as campaign promises are uplifted in various attempts to fool the masses (they hope--oh, and please forget the 8 years of Bush-Cheney when you vote next year).
Sun Leo-Moon Taurus is an intense, subjective, and biased blend and some might say, a perfect combo for an evening when Republicans strut their stuff while peddling the agenda of their billionaire backers. Therefore, unless Congress changes its tune, the US treasury can't satisfy creditors as of March 16, 2015--the very date of the final (of 7 total) exact Cardinal Squares between revolutionary Uranus in Mars-ruled Aries and powerful wealth-hoarder Pluto in Saturn-ruled Capricorn, sign of government, law, and business. In the Eastern Time Zone, the Uranus-Pluto squares perfects at 10:54 pm.

Plus, it appears that someone or a group of someones is/are being trained and prepared to assume a more efficient role in communication of ideas and ideals that seem to be on behalf of the common good.
