NATO and the October 2022 Solar Eclipse of Power and Control

Re-Typing a Post Under Mercury Retrograde!

After Blogger erroneously 'ate' yesterday's posting of the following bi-wheel of charts just after my post went Live on SO'W, with today's effort I'll try again with a re-publish of NATO's 1949 Horoscope, its "into effect" chart as signed by President Truman, surrounded by the 6 South Solar Eclipse Horoscope which manifests on October 25, 2022 @2Scorpio - conjunct NATO's Ascendant (the organization itself). 'Conjunct Ascendant' makes the 6 South Eclipse of 2022 and its themes significant to, or prominent for, the organization and its objectives with issues of 'taking power and control' on the menu.

So with my usual desire to be helpful, 6 South themes of influence are listed on the chart (upper right) highlighted in orange along with a few other details such as potentials offered society by all Scorpio solar eclipses (top left). A prominent NATO midpoint picture is penned in the center of the bi-wheel and in part suggests NATO's 'cautious nature':

Also note that with the October 2022 Eclipse comes a potential for a change of position in Jupiterian realms (Saturn-NN = Jupiter: Senators Sinema or Manchin? Russia and Ukraine?), and the 2022 Eclipse conjunct Venus denotes that material values are on the disruptive 'cosmic blink' menu of the eclipse. In fact, Scorpio's intense Mars-Pluto influences simmer while NATO's Prenatal Eclipse ('PE') @8Taurus themes rumble in the background with its 'prophetic dreams and visions' vibes that include the requirement to persistently stand against all regressive obstacles (exs: neo-naz*sm, Putin, other incursions and conflicts: wars and rumors of war; and/or Ds vs Rs?) while avoiding obstinacy, intolerance, and greediness which are downsides of Venus-ruled Taurus. It's a tall order, isn't it?

Back In April and August 1949

Yet to me it seems that positive influences (protective, practical Taurus, a money sign of growth and development) must have inspired the formation of NATO (founded April 4, 1949 with US Neptune rising in Virgo and US Mars in Gemini at MC - our hard-to-control Mars-Neptune square - yet negative or misguided influences always wait in the wings for use by unscrupulous participants harboring greedy desires and old grudges.

'Cosmic Blinks' = 'Wild Cards of the Universe' 1932/2022

And so we should note that the manifestation of a 6 South Eclipse in 1932 is the one I tend to call the 'Nazi Rise to Power Eclipse' and includes the fact that the 1932 Eclipse @8Virgo was conjoined by NATO's Saturn-Moon-Sun trio in Virgo as the organization became operational in 1949 - with Saturnian karmic implications of restriction upon 6 South Eclipse themes, thankfully enforced after WWII. (Please note that my relatives fought the Naz*s in WWII and I have not the least intention of cheering for today's version of the brutal blighters.)

NATO's Jupiter Return/s Perfected Three Times in 2020

Then as you see, 2022 Pluto in Capricorn recently conjoined NATO's 1949 Jupiter Rx, exact in December 2020, and marking a Jupiterian-Plutonian period when political and economic objectives become expansive, even to the point of fanaticism, as greater power and control are sought. Simultaneously, transit Pluto also opposed NATO's Mars in Cancer adding a strong hint of conflict to the powerful, manipulated Jupiterian picture. Of course, NATO's Jupiter Rx wields the handle of a Sling shape of its 1949 planets (large and in charge?) and falls within what has become a highly sensitized area of the Zodiac in our era, not the least of which is due to the harsh, compressive energies of the Great Conjunction of Saturn and Pluto @22Cap46 on January 12, 2020. And as noted, NATO's Mars-Jupiter opposition was 'hit' by transformative Pluto, and suggests the potential to attempt more than can be kept under NATO control - unless the opposition's gift of objectivity is carefully and honestly utilized. Perhaps powerful Pluto came along by transit and is supporting this.

Or not. For on this very day, Plutonian despot Putin has threatened America if Washington dares to restrict his expansion into Ukraine, including cyber attacks and/or in other ways of his devising. Meanwhile, gas pipelines from Russia are under threat by Germany. Checkmate?

So as you've heard, "US troops are now on high alert" as are military forces of other countries, members of NATO. And is the number 8,500? Well, hopefully, no US president is hapless enough when facing conflict with a Nemesis to publicly name the true number of troops being geared up for such a disclosure would inform America's opponents!

Saturn-Pluto Conjunct and in Opposition

So obviously, NATO went into effect in 1949 after the Saturn-Pluto Conjunction of August 1947 @13Leo07, the conjunction acting as a cosmic timer of great frustration with limitations and restrictions, although positively their combined energies can provide responsible members of society with endurance, stamina, and an opportunity to create a new framework for dealing with the laws of society. Notably, their exact opposition of 1931 perfected during the hard economic struggles of the Great Depression, and we know what cruelty and hardships the 2001 Saturn-Pluto opposition brought to the world (as manipulated by unscrupulous individuals holding grudges and with a lust for power and wealth).

Meanwhile, we both know that there are many real-world implications suggested by the cosmic links between NATO planets of 1949 and the 6 South Eclipse of October 2022 particularly in light of the current rise of anti-democratic authoritarianism and dictatorships across the globe, harsh and draconian in nature, and once again striving to take over America as it did unsuccessfully in 1933.

In Conclusion: Can Forewarned Be Forearmed?

Now while I don't intend to promote a warlike stance for the US, the above bi-wheel is shown here due to the October 2022 Solar Eclipse 'hitting' or 'eclipsing' the natal Ascendant of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, aka, NATO, with forceful 6 South 'taking power' vibes, as previously noted. May NATO be forewarned!

Now admittedly, one of my hopes is that a reader's curiosity may be stirred toward more research and consideration of the possibilities as reflected upon the Earth, then perhaps adding your on-topic observation to this post. However, what most Americans don't want to do is to display excessive upset or paranoia over what Putin might impulsively do as he struggles to gain more territory, power, and status in the world because exhibiting emotional upsets would play into his grasping claws as he continues to undermine America and the democracy he malevolently hates. As usual, such a creature always looks for pretexts intended to 'justify' his actions. Therefore, despite sore-loser Republicans' political opposition to any and all of President Biden's efforts, our faith in American leadership must never be abandoned, no matter what the nay-sayers say!

2023 to 2027 and Washington DC

Focusing on June 2023

Since creating Stars Over Washington in 2005, I've always considered transits, progressions, and planetary returns affecting our nation by using one or more of the various 1776 horoscopes for America but the the 12:00 am LMT Washington DC Horoscope of May 3, 1802 reveals a significant transit as an example of upcoming issues and concerns.

Naturally, rather than a mere post, an e-book would have to be written and published in order to contain and discuss all the upcoming transits of note over the next few years, for as the Cosmos would have it, a mixture of both positive and negative transits and contacts are and will be indicated. Well, I can't do this so what you see displayed is a bi-wheel horoscope of one major transit with the outer transit chart set for June 5, 2023 (exact at 12:37:03 pm edt) showing transit Uranus @20Tau27 opposing DC's 1802 Neptune @20Sco27 Rx in 10th house at 12:00 am LMT.

Now as you know, Uranus = Science, and Neptune = Faith and Ideals and these energies may play out in general terms in light of the reciprocal transit in 2026 into 2027 when transit Neptune opposes DC's 1802 Uranus. This reveals a time frame (2023 --2027) and a wider view that we should keep in mind as major shifts, changes, and reforms occur in the USA, or are proposed and rebuffed. Yet we must be aware that a longterm plan by China and Russia is now in pain sight and intends to topple America from global leadership, thus forming a 'new world order' of authoritarianism, as Russia threatens to invade Ukraine territory again.

Astrologically in the US, transit Pluto @00AQ05 Rx on June 5, 2023 has finally reached the January 20th degree of US Inaugural Sun (POTUS Oath of Office) - which is also the December 2020 Great Conjunction of societal planets Jupiter and Saturn so here's an excerpt from a previous post concerning this topic which may be of a timely interest:

With springlike April coming soon and flowery May just behind, here's a round-up of SO'W posts, plus, info concerning prominent cosmic events coming in April and May 2022 that promise societal shifts on multiple levels. The emphasis here is on the US but naturally other regions of the world will also be under these cosmic influences:

April 1, 2022: New Moon @12Pis07 culminating with the Full Moon @26Lib46 on April 16, 2022 (no DC Horoscopes of these lunations have been published, not yet anyway).

April 12, 2022: a new cycle begins of the speculator pair of bubbles, inflation, and political conflicts: Jupiter-Neptune Conjunction @23Pis59 opposing US 1776 Neptune in Virgo (Jupiter-Neptune with more Neptune: promotion of strange theories; misplaced altruism).

April 30, 2022: A disruptive, course-changing 6 North Solar Eclipse in Venus-ruled Taurus (@10Tau28--where transit Uranus is as I type). Check out the themes of this 'cosmic blink' eclipse because an authority figure may become unreliable and have to be replaced. Good news is that this is a partial solar eclipse so its energies are not as influential as a Total eclipse would be.

May 16, 2022: Total Lunar Eclipse @25Scor18 near the natal Sun and Venus of President Biden (no DC Horoscope published yet). Which inconvenient secrets of a Scorpionic nature will be revealed or leaked? Will this eclipse relate to an authority figure becoming unreliable? (If so, may it be a secessionist.)

May 24, 2022: Transit Jupiter and Mars Reach Aries Point by leaving shady Pisces behind. Mars in his own sign of Aries desires change, while Jupiter in Aries suggests vigorous leadership and honesty but negatively can bring premature action, over-expansion, and/or moodiness.

May 30, 2022: the merry month of May ends with a New Moon @9Gem03 conjunct US 1776 Uranus (@8:55), America's totem planet of revolt and revolution, and a cosmic marker for changes, shifts, reforms, progress, disruption, and/or radical politics.

Notes on America's Jupiter-Saturn Square

As we see in the US Horoscope of July 4, 1776 5:10 pm LMT Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, US Jupiter @5Can55 widely squares US Saturn @14Lib48 with both planets happily compatible, even exalted, within their respective signs. Yet when we consider Jupiter's expansion principle squared by Saturn's principle of restriction, their square aspect during that era when America was establishing herself must add a measure of complexity to conditions, then and now.

Sabian Symbols of their rounded-up degrees: Jupiter '6Cancer' = "Game Birds Feathering Their Nests" which to me sounds like America's Founding Plutocrats, and subsequent ones through the years. Saturn '15Libra' = "Circular Paths," which can be a basic reference to cycles and repetition, but also to the practice of Astrology - and curiously, this symbol was operative on 9/11/01 as Dubya's plane left Florida and was flown round and round - an attempt to thwart his enemies, one might assume.

Now the Jupiter-Saturn duo contains multiple implications as everyone knows, not the least of which is their status as the two societal planets, plus, all the roles that both planets can play separately in mundane horoscopes. Examples are: Jupiter the banker, guru, corporatist, explorer, military general, philosopher, and Saturn the manager, the senex, the boss, teacher, lawmakers, authority figures.

Additionally, the two planets may be referred to as 'the flywheel of the Universe' due to their expansion-restriction principles (yin-yang!) that keeps all the planets in our Solar System orbiting 'in their courses.' And fortunately for faith-based folks, this relationship can be labeled comforting especially for those who consider that, "Thy rod" (Saturn) "and Thy staff" (Jupiter) "they comfort me."

Yes, it's the Great Benefic vs the Chronocrator, aka, as the 'Time Lord'!

But now let's turn profane and note the planetary pair's effects in Politics - first, the fact that in July 1776, the two societal planets were in square aspect (which on a personal level suggests internal obstacles as square aspects will do and which may signify an essential quest). In 1776 Politics, we could assume that Jupiterian and Saturnian figures were debating difficulties concerning the risky declaration of our independence and related matters on that fabled day (July 4, 1776). A Jupiter-Saturn square implies restlessness, and a tendency to go on to a new project or new phase of an endeavor before completing current matters. Inertia often results as the energies can neutralize each other.

This sounds to me like a description of the day's events because the more complete signing of the Declaration of Independence took place later, on August 2, 1776. So perhaps the Jupiter-Saturn square represents on July 4th a 'shelving' of the matter since there were practical reasons for the delay (and with a retrograde Mercury, a later signing when the planet of signings, documents, details, commerce, and negotiations was moving direct, a more lasting implication for such a document!).

Meanwhile, it's only realistic to admit that a Jupiter-Saturn square can cause misfortune and problems in business and financial affairs, usually through faulty judgment, or, through downright corruption, schemes, and theft. With the square, cautious long-range financial planning may be neglected or be error-filled while a lack of opportunity can affect matters as can bad timing.

However, in Politics a positive indication of the pair is America's tradition of "checks and balances" which has always been an excellent use of these energies - until domestic and foreign saboteurs determined to undermine our government into a state of chaos and collapse, as we now see. Tragically for the world and for Democracy, theirs has been a long-range plan now on steroids since Tr*mp. Timing is everything.

Then on a basic level, over-materialism can be one underlying result of a Jupiter-Saturn square along with ethics and moral issues embedded within a tendency toward over-conservatism such as we see with certain cultish politicians who care more for party than country. Obviously, Predatory Capitalism chimes in with corrupt practices and exploitation which forms an unequal condition in which karmic Saturnian energies overwhelm Jupiterian generosity - with Saturnian austerity measures promoted for and enforced upon the masses while members of the elite and ruling classes enjoy the largesse and good fortune of jolly Jupiter. Autocracy, Plutocracy, Authoritarianism, Dystopianism - we Americans can label it whatever we like but if fully implemented, we will not like it.

My suspicion is that current progressives easily recognize such unbalanced tendencies by "others don't cooperate as they should" and the ever-popular "denial of guilt by responsible parties." Yet we know that politicians cannot legislate (Saturn) morality (Jupiter) but some of the theocratic ones, backed by power-mad financiers, pretend that they can. Besides, role-player Jupiter is also the thespian in their political theater performances.

So here are potentials of the Jupiter-Saturn duo in Politics and Business as provided by master astrologer Michael Munkasey in Thesis-Antithesis form:

"Thesis: The serious side of justice and the law; processes concerning checks and balances; changes in the governmental, religious, or social orders; repression based on morality instituted by law or religion; an expansion within the rocks in the ground.

Antithesis: Too many restrictions on the operation of justice; a judicial system at its breaking point; pessimism about the ability of the police to control lawbreakers; leniency and harshness vie for balance within the overall social and economic systems."

Lunations Spotlight the Leo-Aquarius Self-Will Axis

DC Horoscope: New Moon @12AQ19:55 February 1, 2022 12:45:51 am est; Washington DC

Rising is 10Sco44 which brings up asteroid Hygeia (health and cleanliness issues) along with Sigma, the lone wolf - both opposed by radical, disruptive Uranus @10Tau53 ('The Witness'). At Midheaven ('MC') is Cupido Rx signaling objectives that involve Corporatism, The Network (criminal or otherwise), The Family ('religious' or otherwise), and/or Culture, Social Events, and the Arts:

Chart-ruler Mars is buttressed by higher octave planet (or is it lower? certainly deeper, more intense) Pluto, the stealthy and wealthy. There are three applying aspects by warrior-activist, even arsonist, Mars listed, lower left, which suggest how things will proceed from the February 2022 New Moon:

1. Mars sextile 4th house Jupiter @7Pis16 (1A39): a period of opportunities for advancement in areas of political aims, international travel, intellectual endeavors, intel acquiring; physical efforts tend to be successful, and professional status may improve; risks may be taken; plus, military actions and/or troop movements may also be indicated.

2. Mars square 5th house Chiron @9Ari16 (3A40): direct dealing is required concerning aggression and sexuality issues and concerns if progress is to be made.

3. Mars trine Uranus @10Tau53 (5A17) and setting: unpredictable or unexpected outcomes to efforts; unusual actions are taken or new methods and procedures may be implemented, often with favorable results; group organizations may be favored.

Plus, you'll note karmic Saturn @15AQ30 conjuncts IC (Endings? Domestic Security? Real Estate? Mining?) of the chart, and restrictive Saturn, planet of Government, Law, and Business is apex planet of a symbolic T-Square pattern with Uranus-ASC at its base: 'quick responses; upsets; excitement' (R. Ebertin); also at apex is the New Moon herself. Upper right you see listed a few potentials of the T-Square when read as a midpoint picture - and I'd be remiss not to mention that danger may be part of the environment around the time of the New Moon and afterwards (unsurprising, I know).

More lunation details may be gleaned through the Sabian Symbol of the February 2022 New Moon's rounded-up degree of "13Aquarius" = "A Barometer: Keyword = INDICATION; positive expression: unusual keenness of observation and exceptional competence in judgment; negative expression: superficial uncertainty and a continual trimming to passing events" (M.E. Jones).

This reminds me of the June 16, 2015 Gemini New Moon's Sabian Symbol ("A Man Trimming Palms") which perfected on the very morning of Tr*mp's freakish escalator ride downward to announce to a paid-for audience what I tend to call his lamentable, bigoted 'prez bid'.

Then for unconscious information we can check the Illumination Point opposite the New Moon - "13Leo" = "An Old Sea Captain Rocking": Keyword = RETROSPECT; positive: each person's unlimited capacity for calling up afresh the powers he has gained in his struggle for self-fulfillment; negative: insensibility to present reality in a full surrender to the past" (M.E.J.). Perhaps this reminds us both of fantasy-based Herr Tr*mp, put out to pasture and golfing by the sea as he plots a return to power with grudges festering inside - and of a regressive 'Republican Party' venerating bygone days of what they consider "glory" in a racist, hate-filled country the white power structure controlled. And they intend to take control again.

Now let's close with a further look ahead at February 2022 for we know that seeds and plans are laid and tend to take root at a New Moon and culminate with the next Full Moon which in this case perfects on February 16, 2022 @27Leo60 at 11:56 am est - fully revealing the natal Ascendant and rising Mars of the orange menace whose testy Mars happens to oppose US natal Moon (We The People) with apoplectic rage and malevolent aggression toward anyone in the populace who disagrees with him or who stands in his way.

Well, like a huge wad of gum stuck on the bottom of humanity's shoe, we both knew that his orangeness would have to show up somewhere in this post.

The Futurism of the Mercurial H.G. Wells

Is it curious that futurist author and political scientist H.G. Wells was born with Osiris Rx conjunct his natal Mercury, planet of thinking and communication, in Virgo, sign of the critic and book writer? In Astrology, Osiris, an ancient Egyptian god, is associated with concepts of death, rebirth, renewal, resusitation - basically with change and transformation. However, there's more to discover about Wells' natal 7th house Mercury such as its opposition to 'wounded healer' and 'blindspot' Chiron Rx @20Pis06 (where transit Neptune in Pisces has been hanging about of late). A Mercury-Chiron opposition suggests a man who "seeks self-transformation through acting as a promoter, popularizer or guardian of whatever truth {he} regards as being revealed especially to him" (R. Nolle). Like a best-selling book author. Plus, his Mercury also trines expansive Jupiter @22Capricorn (The Translator and linguist 'coordinating universal concepts as applied to everyday life' - A. Oken).

Now you know that "22Capricorn" is one of the more sensitive degrees in the Zodiac these days thanks to the 2020 Saturn-Pluto Conjunction, plus, his Mercury trines invisibility planet Pluto Rx @14Taurus with Pluto opposing natal Venus in Scorpio.

Naturally, a Venus-Pluto opposition suggests intense, even problematic relationships with undertones of jealousy, envy, or perhaps violence. Now in our day, transit Uranus in Taurus is in the neighborhood, catalyzing and possibly transforming his Venus-Pluto opposition of 1866 in some fanatical fashion that relates to societal breakdown as we're now experiencing - and which Wells looked forward to (see his quote from 1933, below). Note that the Venus-Pluto duo may also relate to potentials for extreme wealth secreted away, elements of organized crime, volcanic activity, and/or to genetic alterations (M. Munkasey) which reminds me of his brilliant novel The Invisible Man!

Now due to current political and societal events, the primary point of this post is to spotlight the following quote by H.G. Wells and current changes now struggling toward implementation. The quote is from his book The Shape of Things To Come (written under the influence of his 1933 viewpoint on how future wars will affect civilization, a coming "Dictatorship of Air," and an "almost Utopian" society of the future).

Now I wonder if the "dictatorship" that Wells foresaw arrived later than he predicted and was signaled by the Jupiter-Saturn Conjunction (the societal planets) of December 21, 2020 @00AQ29, an Air sign? Of course, back then transit Pluto was already in Capricorn ('the dictator' - R. Ebertin), with Herr Tr*mp lurking in the White House as the societal Conjunction announced a new order while simultaneously landing upon America's Inaugural (POTUS) Sun. This formed a midpoint picture of, "Taking destiny into one's own hands; major changes according to plan; or, if nothing has been prepared, becoming gripped by the status quo and having to make the best of things" (N. Tyl). Now we can realize that loser Tr*mp's 'Big Lie' was his plan and was already in the works. And nowadays, some legal types are suggesting that the orange menace must be feeling gripped by forebodings.

So here's H.G. Wells with a prediction, a promise - or a threat based on events up to 1933:

"When the existing governments and ruling theories of life, the decaying religious and decaying political forms of today, have sufficiently lost prestige through failure and catastrophe, then and only then will worldwide reconstruction be possible."

One World Government?

Therefore, a devilish "big plan" is what I believe the world suffers under now, a purposeful decaying (breakdown) of various systems and institutions in society signaled recently on one cosmic level by the 'collapse' and necessary 'rebuilding' heralded by the 2018 Solar Eclipse mentioned, below. "Build Back Better" indeed - in a new form, it seems. Yet you'll note that Tr*mp and his thuggish ilk (Koch, Murdoch, McConnell, global neo-naz*s, etc.) are allegedly against globalism (you may remember that Tr*mp spoke against globalism at the UN in 2019 -- and there's this). Yet I can have no trust in such assertions, or in what these craven saboteurs are actually for - other than complete authoritarian control headed by the unhinged likes of these low characters we 'know' by their public profiles. My thought is that, if their plan for global control is implemented, things may not turn out as well as they assume and 'catbird seats' of control may go to someone else entirely. After all, low characters cannot be trusted and there's no honor among thieves.

So now if you dare, dear reader, maybe check out the 1936 film (and theatrical trailer!) Things To Come based on the futuristic book by H.G. Wells, and produced in black-n-white splendor by Alexander Korda. Even if not instructive, the film is, in a word, a curiosity.

Astro-Notes on the Life and Death Solar Eclipses of H.G. Wells

Here let's add a few cosmic factors about H.G. Wells. He was born within the 12 South Saros Series via a partial eclipse @25Ari04:42 on April 15, 1866 (a pioneer!) with themes of 'successful outcomes to long-term worries or illness; things seem worse at first, then clear' (paraphrasing Brady's Predictive Astrology #ad). The last 12 South Eclipse in the 21st century manifested in July 2010 @19Cancer, and a 12 South will repeat on July 22, 2028 @30Cancer (a critical 29th degree rounded up) as noted in yesterday's SO'W post.

Then we might be tempted to consider it rather curious that the Death of H.G. Wells on August 13, 1946 fell into the 2 New North series (occurring June 29, 1946 @6Can48, partial) which in our day repeated on August 11, 2018 as The Tower Eclipse ('collapse' and 'rebuilding'). Plus, a 2 New North eclipse will repeat once again in the year 2036 - the very year the 1936 film Things To Come is set in! How's that for cosmic synchronicity? Why, it's almost as if futurist H.G. Wells studied Astrology - or, perhaps someone had an advising astrologer on the payroll.

Yeah, But What Was H.G. Really Like?

As for the Earth-Air Sun Virgo-Moon AQ personality blend of H.G. Wells, we can consult the *Harveys who provide a famous quote by the author of both science fiction and political theory, Mr. Wells, "If the world does not please you, you can change it." Well, this describes his aim, it seems. That such high-handed transformation meddles in the lives of other people seems of no consequence to social tinkerers, then and now.

So! This personality blend suggests a man of precise thinking yet unpredictable or erratic emotions, one concerned with large social issues. A scientific, detached approach to life may have been noticed as well as a gift for understatement and a quirky sense of humor. No doubt, his people-watching tendency was helpful for writing novels as was his monk-like self-sufficiency, and his attraction to politics and international planning is obvious from what we know of his life and writings. Shrewd intelligence is a given, and, in a flurry of cosmic synchronicity, his natal Phaethon @8Gemini conjunct his IC of Endings was echoed at his death in 1946 as transit Phaethon @8Gemini returned to natal degree.

'Wild Cards' of the Universe and Cosmic Synchronicities

In light of recent and current secessionist-type events, the DC Horoscope of the April 12, 2022 Jupiter-Neptune Conjunction @23Pis58 is hereby re-published just to add the point that the day of their bubbly, speculative conjunction is also a day of the Solar Return 2022 of the Civil War which began under deceptive Mercury-Neptune influences on April 12, 1861 with the Sun @22Ari27. (Of course, explosive, warring Mars-Uranus also had a hand as on the day of Inauguration 2021.)

Of interest is the Sabian Symbol of the Sun's rounded-up degree of '23Aries' = "A Woman in Pastel Colors Carrying a Heavy And Valuable But Veiled Load"; "Keyword: RETICENCE; positive expression: the unimpeachable integrity of the man whose fullness of life becomes a practical contribution to the circumstances in which he dwells; negative (unconscious/shadow side - jc) expression: a disinclination to participate at all fairly in everyday living." Now for me, this last relates to secessionists then and now to which I'd include obstructionist congressional Republicans, those radical reactionaries who long for a regressive America in the pre-Civil Rights and pre-Voting Rights days because they assume it can soothe their bigoted world view and support their alleged "supremacy".

Now we should also add the Sabian Symbol for the Jupiter-Neptune Conjunction of April 12, 2022 @24Pisces which is notated messily in the center of the horoscope but I'll also type its potentials for you below:

'24Pisces' = An Inhabited Island"; "Keyword: CULTIVATION; positive expression: achievement through a creative opportunism or inventiveness of exceptional order; negative expression: snobbish complacency and self-indulgence" (Jones). Is this a NYC island, perhaps?

Energies of Jupiter-Neptune when combined can certainly appreciate self-indulgence between Jupiter's expansion principle and Neptune's urge to merge and become lax or slack, plus, the planetary duo suggests several other potentials, both positive and negative, such as:

'Visions, dreams, mysticism, idealism, the grand spirit, the 'Big Lie', corruption, theft, veils, disguises, pretense, loss of reality, compassion, inspiration, fraud, get-rich-quick schemes, speculation, inflation, bubbles, instability, loss, political conflicts, sabotage, vast deceptions, increased gaslighting, gain without effort, abundant feelings, expansive creativity, tricks of the eye or ear, art interests, impressionability, easy seduction, scandal via instability, the wrong diagnosis, foolish surmisings, shoddy conditions, Utopian illusions (used to break down society), neglect of ethics, confusion, senseless doctrine, hypocrisy as a form of internal policy, a degraded legal system based on favors and pay-offs, unfounded legal situations or theories, churches espousing a moral philosophy for all (rather than one based on each believer's conscience), vague excuses, overlooking the faults of others, unexplained events or miracles, worn out or inefficient forms of publicity, and/or myth-making.

And in the November 24, 2021 broadcast of the Thom Hartmann Show Thom expressed what to me, based in part on my studies of eclipse cycles, an interesting idea about something I'd never considered in exactly this way: that the Nazi influence in the United States from 1933 to 1937 was huge. And although I've published multiple SO'W posts concerning conditions and events of those years, both earthly and cosmic, you'll find more of such, below. Notably, previous posts have concerned solar eclipses and their themes which run in the background of society and influence historical events, a well known correlation in the As Above, So Below tradition.

So thanks to Thom's remark about the 'Nazi years' of 1933 to 1937 and how Nazi characters of that era affected the US and how they attempted to overthrow the FDR administration in 1933 (and thus, the US government - as on January 6, 2021), it seems to me that we should look at the themes of the August 31, 1932 6 South Eclipse all the way to the last eclipse of 1937 (and all eclipses in between: 1935 was a very eventful year; ex: Herr Adolf armed Germany in violation of the Versaillais Treaty of 1919) for a look can provide us with hints of similar events and conditions to expect in that 'history rhymes' kind of way as these eclipses repeat in our era.

For me this information falls into the 'forewarned is forearmed' category, and, disagree as you wish, dear reader, there it is. After all, who can deny the negative conditions of current events and faithless actors? Yet as Thom Hartmann always reminds us, Despair is not an option!

Solar Eclipses from February 1933 to December 1937

February 24, 1933 @5Pisces 7 North: 'Deep, long-hidden passions and lust suddenly catch people off-guard' (to this I must add, blood lust because it's a Nazi tactic for grabbing power, and remains an obsession of the predatory destructive spirit that roams the Earth.

December 2, 1937 @10Sagittarius 12 North: 'Opportunities to accept greater responsibilities and make new commitments due to another person's inability to carry on; initial events are difficult but outcomes can be positive'. (Can be. Motive is everything.)

7 North to 12 North (1933 to 1937 and 2023 to 2028)

So the concentrated time frame that Thom mentions begins with the 7 North Eclipse of 1933 @5Pisces, until the 12 North Eclipse of 1937. For us, the 7 North Saros Series recurs on April 20, 2023 @30Aries (Herr Adolf's 134th birthday) and January 26, 2028 (12N Eclipse @6Aquarius conjunct America's South Node of July 4, 1776, a separative, and possibly neurotic indication of past behavior which no longer suffices). Although not within Thom's time frame, there is also a 12 South Solar Eclipse in 2028 @'30Cancer' ("A Daughter of the American Revolution"!) on July 22, 2028 with themes of 'successful outcomes to longterm worries or illness' (an end to Covid? Perhaps, yet 12 South is the Prenatal Eclipse Saros Series of July 4, 1776 then @00Pis33 - and how synchronous that its Sabian Symbol in 2028 relates to the Revolution, and its themes affected the initial signing of the Declaration of Independence).

2022: Eclipses and a Midterm Elections Taurus Lunar Eclipse

Yet the two most obvious eclipses that form major signposts on the dystopian road to fascist-nazi authoritarianism in the US (and across the globe) must be the Nazi Rise to Power Eclipse repeating on October 25, 2022 @2Scorpio - problematically the Prenatal Eclipse ('PE') of Midterms 2022 (held the same day as a Lunar Eclipse in Taurus conjunct radical Uranus, planet of chaos, zealotry, and anarchy), and the Nazi Rise to Power Eclipse.

Yet special mention should be added about one solar eclipse in particular which occurred in 1937 - not the final one in 1937 but the Solar Eclipse of June 8, 1937 @18Gemini in the challenging 11 South Saros Series with its disturbing themes of 'ideas and methods fail, new systems are required in order to deal with events; any blocks could be tragically and violently removed'. And when does an 11 South eclipse repeat? On August 2, 2027 @10Leo - conjunct the orange mussolini's 12th house Pluto which is apex planet of his 'death axis' Mars-Saturn midpoint (R. Ebertin) with Plutonian potentials for 'murder' and 'piled up corpses'. Maybe he'll be the block that's removed!

Yet it seems in 2022 that Herrs Adolf and Tr*mp and their despotic ilk are like wads of nasty gum on the world's shoe that never wants to let go.

Then in closing, it would be remiss not to mention a previous post and horoscope concerning this authoritarian topic: The Big Brazen N*zi Rally of 1939 NYC. And which Eclipse Saros series did the rally occur within? The sinister 13 South with thematic potentials for constitutional crisis and/or striving for group endeavors, positively or negatively (B. Brady).

DC Horoscope: SOTU 2022 (unmarked)

America 2022: Disjointed and Ill Yet Hopeful

Shown below is a photo of the unmarked DC Horoscope of what is reported to be (per Speaker Pelosi's invitation to President Joe Biden) the March 1, 2022 SOTU Address to a Joint Session of Congress concerning the State of our Union.

As scheduled, the SOTU 2022 chart is set for 9:00 pm est, Capitol Building, with 18Lib24 rising (bringing up Tr*mp's natal Jupiter opposed by Speaker Pelosi's natal Jupiter @18Aries at Descendant), and with Sun, Moon, Jupiter, and Neptune in the creative 5th house. A pile of trouble constellates around the IC of the chart (21Cap07) including the 2020 Saturn-Pluto Conjunction @22Capricorn which conjoined the natal Vertex of Herr Tr*mp.

Then as you see, intense conjunctions between Venus-Pluto and Mars-Pluto are lining up (both exact on March 3, 2022 - conjunct US natal Pluto @27Cap33) and, appropriate for a SOTU Address during difficult times in society, there's a serious and tenacious Mercury-Saturn Conjunction @18AQ+ exact on the morning of the March 2, 2022 New Moon (12:35 pm est @12Pis07).

Therefore, SOTU 2022 will be delivered during the prophetic Dark of the Moon phase with major Piscean overtones. No, this date is not the most auspicious timing for expressing the optimism and enthusiasm that President Biden is bound to show during his speech - yet perhaps March 2022 is when Piscean compassion will be the most needed and valued:

North Node and the Virgo-Pisces victim-savior axis

With transit Neptune, elusive planet of compassion and contagion, still floating through its own sign of Pisces, culmination, fulfillment, relationship issues, and/or full awareness of the plans hatched at or about the March 2nd New Moon in Pisces arrives on or about the Full Moon of March 18, 2022 @27Vir40 at 3:18 am est.

Now as you know, the Nodal Axis circles the Zodiac approximately every 19.6 years and March 2022 signals the time for the North Node of the Moon, the head of the dragon, to point directly at the malevolent star that twinkles upon the natal Midheaven, the Goal Point, of one D. Tr*mp: Algol. Meanwhile, the tail of the dragon (the separative South Node), swipes the natal IC of Endings in the natal horoscope of Herr Tr*mp.

Now obviously, his ugly memory may be noted (though unnamed!) during SOTU 2022 and we know that unpredictable events and legal actions are certain to occur between the time of this publishing and March 1, 2022. Yet if given a chance, the screams and rage of vicious, vengeful Algol with the star's suggestion of 'piled up corpses' may again be on display from the direction of the orange menace and his thugs - or, will simply be called out by others in speeches, in reporting and books, and in courts of law.

If so, we'll be forewarned. But we won't be surprised.

The Solar Eclipse of Thomas Jefferson

By "Solar Eclipse of Thomas Jefferson" I refer to the Solar Eclipse Saros Series during which his birth took place on April 2, 1743, and to his Prenatal Eclipse ('PE') itself in the 15 South Saros Series, shown, below.

Now often a birth time of 1:53 am LMT is used for Jefferson's natal chart (with 18Cap17 rising and a 10th house Pluto Rx @16Sco04), however, other birth hours have been proposed here and there, some through rectification of life events. I tend to use the 1:53 am chart because I've read that it's close to early morning time from the notes his father wrote upon the occasion. (Any reader with more info, please leave a comment!)

So here's a link to the astrodatabank version (RR: X = date without time) which displays no house cusps, only planetary positions in Thomas Jefferson's Natal Horoscope.

And this is one reason I always check out the PE of a person or event especially ones without a known hour - because with eclipses, the Cosmos always gets the timing exactly right!

A Very Descriptive Sabian Symbol

Jefferson's PE @5Sag: "A Wise Old Owl Up In A Tree" which emphasizes his erudite studies, the then-rural Monticello countryside, and Jefferson's preference for solitude which is also a feature of Neptune-North-Node ('NN') = Midheaven. In addition, Neptune Rx in Moon-ruled Cancer (high sensitivity!) leads a Locomotive shape of his eclipse planets suggesting a ruthless determination toward success - a desire perhaps well-hidden since nebulous Neptune is the engine. As you know, this was the way desires to hold political offices (and generalships of an army!) were done back in the day. Now I know what you're thinking, dear reader: is there a Locomotive led by Neptune in Jefferson's natal chart? Nope. So without a consideration of his Prenatal Eclipse Horoscope, I'd not be mentioning the implications of a ruthless Locomotive for Mr. Jefferson who, after all, made it to the top as President of the USA.

Note: No, the "YODs" in this chart are not actually considered YODs because the third 'leg' is only an angle, the Midheaven, instead of a planet. Therefore, I've listed them as midpoint pictures (center) and inconjuncts (lower left).

J6 Committee spotlighting Sean Hannity

Several moons ago I placed the natal horoscope of Fox TV's Sean Hannity into my files but never did much with it. Turns out, Hannity's natal planets are now significant due to the Jan 6th Select Committee investigation into Hannity's communications with Tr*mp and Mark Meadows now in the investigation's headlights.

Admittedly, I 'like that journey' for Sean Patrick who is not legally protected by the Fox 'News' department (which allegedly involves journalism). No, Hannity's show falls instead within the network's 'entertainment' department. He'd better not try it! Although it could result in delay, one of Tr*mp's favorite tactics.

Well, here's an excerpt from a previous SO'W post (sans edits) concerning Hannity's Prenatal Solar Eclipse in vain Leo:
