Jupiter-Saturn Joined by Saboteur Pluto: Karma 2020 and Beyond

March 23, 2020: If you have yet to view the horoscope of Election Day 2020, here's a previously posted bi-wheel of November 3, 2020 showing 12:00 am to 11:59 pm set for Washington DC. There you'll see a Capricorn trio of Jupiter, Pluto, and Saturn forming a revealing midpoint picture on that significant day of a super-significant presidential election. Not that down-ballot elections aren't important--they are, of course, especially since the Democratic Party needs to take the Senate and keep the House. Otherwise it's more years of regressive reactionary politics and policies led by Republicans and their crabby anti-constitutional backers - and no picnic even if Democrats prevail. Keeping our democratic Republic is the objective - or it should be.

However, if Republicans follow their usual formula now that wastrel Trump and his fellow culprits have demolished the National Treasury with their tax cuts for the wealthy, corporate welfare hand-outs, and other financial schemes and thefts, the reins of power will be handed to Democrats to 'fix' the economy. That's if it can be fixed after Covid-19 has its way with us. But as you know, faith is necessary in order to believe that there will be a US economy! For isn't it 'faith' that keeps fiat currency afloat to the extent that it has?

Well, be that as it may or may not be, this post is about societal planets Jupiter (expansion) and Saturn (restriction) which, as a team, represent in Politics such things as 'checks and balances' - the form of government the Founders created back in 1776, and the form of government zealous saboteurs have shoved Washington away from - with circumstances made worse under the faithless Trump, McConnell, and friends. Will their Executive Branch power grab be permanent?

Jupiter-Saturn: More Changes Coming

Now as you know, year 2020 ends with a Great Conjunction (or Great Mutation, if you prefer) of Jupiter and Saturn, a 20-year cosmic event of major importance marking the time when a new cycle begins in society. Formerly conjoined in practical Earth signs, the upcoming conjunction occurs in the Air sign of water-bearer Aquarius with its Saturn-Uranus vibes of old order vs new order. If this marks the fabled "Age of Aquarius" it leaves much to be desired.

Now hopefully the following information will not be too confusing to read for instead of typing it all again, here's a slightly-edited-for-clarity reprint of my previous Jupiter-Saturn post followed by potentials of the Jupiter-Saturn = Pluto midpoint, plus, a few fussy remarks by yours truly:

Note that the Jupiter-Saturn Conjunction perfects on December 21, 2020 @00AQ29 (conjunct US POTUS Sun and a few minutes after Winter Solstice) at 1:20 pm est White House Washington DC:

Midpoint Potentials for societal planets Jupiter (expansion) and Saturn (restriction) when their energies combine approximately every 20 years - in Politics or Business (Michael Munkasey) = "checks and balances; changes in governmental, religious, or social orders; repression based on morality instituted by law or religion; a judicial system at its breaking point; leniency and harshness vie for balance within the overall social and economic systems."

To Jupiter-Saturn Reinhold Ebertin adds: "government officials, politicians, law professors, clergymen, civil servants of the administration."

To Jupiter-Saturn Noel Tyl adds: "Law and order, ambition given the go-ahead signal; patience pays off, feeling righter than right; dogmatic; control tempers zeal; opportunities are carefully evaluated; success takes on long-term security; one has 'made it happen'; strategy."

And here are the potentials of the Winter Solstice 2020 midpoint picture of Jupiter-Saturn = (POTUS) Sun:

"Boasting a lot; dreaming of a potential for actuality; feeling you can positively influence social change; an increase in self-pride and ability to demonstrate positive leadership before others" (Munkasey); "inconstancy; moodiness (via liver disturbances); happy in solitude; change of residence; gaining experience" (Ebertin); "taking destiny into one's own hands; major changes according to plan; or, if nothing has been prepared, becoming gripped by the status quo and having to make the best of things" (Tyl).

(As for "positively" influencing social change, I'd prefer the laid-back Joe Biden, thanks, especially since it's difficult to imagine how "King of Debt" narcissist Trump, 'the divider', could have any positive influence upon society at all. For it seems to me he's proven his negative intentions with his natal Mars opposing US natal Moon (We The People) although you're welcome to disagree. Yes, I complained about this touchy Moon-Mars opposition before Election 2016 but Trump voters were totally entranced by the snake and his lies to take heed.)

Yet we know that any, all, or none of these midpoint potentials may apply or express no matter who sits in the Oval Office playing the role of President of the United States in 2021 and beyond, and any of the midpoints may be activated by transits, progressions, lunations (New and Full Moons) and solar and lunar eclipses. This can make positive changes to previous changes a possibility!

Yes, the fact that the Great Conjunction of heavyweights Jupiter and Saturn occurs at Winter Solstice 2020 makes it even more influential and doubles its global significance. Especially since the two planets are considered the 'flywheel of the Universe" (yin-yang) which keeps our Solar System's planets orbiting within their courses. Personally, I thank the Great Mathematician for this!

Yet we might also note that the explosive, violent Mars-Uranus duo rises and conjoins the Ascendant in the Jupiter-Saturn Conjunction 2020 Horoscope which suggests potentials for more changes and for 'upsetting events, arrests, or injuries' (Ebertin); and/or 'deriving enjoyment from agitating or upsetting others' (Munkasey). Well, arresting culpable corporate culprits would be an improvement for a change, wouldn't it?

As for their last conjunction--the current cycle of Jupiter-Saturn in effect until December 21, 2020--that would be the Great Conjunction of May 28, 2000 @22Tau43, one of the heralds of the New Millennium, at '23Taurus' = "A Jewelry Shop Filled with the Most Magnificent Gems"...negative expression: a greediness which betrays the soul with trifles" (Jones). Curiously enough, the 2000 conjunction perfected upon the natal MC (Goals; Aspirations) of the greedy Donald Trump who seems to have betrayed his country for filthy lucre--and for power over the world, corrupt and authoritarian though it may be. Jupiter-Saturn = natal MC: "changes, losses, fluctuating success" (Ebertin).

So the fact that the Great Conjunction of heavyweights Jupiter and Saturn occurs at Winter Solstice 2020 makes it more influential and of global significance. Especially since the two planets are indispensable as the 'flywheel of the Universe" (yin-yang) which keeps our Solar System's planets orbiting within their courses.

Yet we must also note that the explosive, violent, gun-totin' Mars-Uranus midpoint rises and conjoins the Ascendant of the above chart which suggests potentials for "upsetting events, arrests, or injuries" (Ebertin); and/or "deriving enjoyment from agitating or upsetting others" (Munkasey).

Of course, the last and current cycle of Jupiter-Saturn in effect until December 21, 2020 is their conjunction of May 28, 2000 @22Tau43, one of the heralds of the New Millennium. Curiously enough, the 2000 conjunction occurred at the natal MC (Goals; Aspirations) of the greedy Donald Trump who, imho, seems to continually betray his country for filthy lucre. To me the New Millennium has so far seemed a crooks-run-wild affair although you're welcome to disagree.

Karma Knocks at Society's Door

Jupiter-Saturn = Pluto: "intense business activity; a total reversal to previously made plans; extreme changes" (Munkasey); "violent changes; immense effort; separation; restriction (Ebertin, who adds, "in certain cases Pluto = Jupiter-Saturn leads to an enforced change through imprisonment, in which case the political situation has to be considered"); major change of situation; tremendous perseverance; dramatic thrust of self; control of the situation" (Tyl). (Note that "violent changes" may refer to earth changes such as natural disasters with disruptive Uranus in Earthy Taurus, a money sign, so there are economic implications as well.)

And here are the midpoint's potentials provided by Michael Munkasey in his book Midpoints: Unleashing the Power of the Planets: "Jupiter-Saturn = Pluto: intense business activity; a total reversal to plans previously made; extreme lifestyle changes; transforming personal ideas about the future into today's reality."

Of course, the trio of planets in Capricorn play musical chairs off and on as the months go by creating different midpoint pictures as they change positions, yet considering that we're already experiencing such extreme changes now, it's safe to say that restrictive societal reforms will continue in one form or another into 2021 no matter who 'wins' in November 2020 or whether election results can be trusted--or, whether Election 2020 collapses or actually occurs or not.

And through all this, what I'm trying to say is that apparently, major changes and reforms to governmental, social, economic, and religious orders, as timed primarily by Jupiter Conjunct Saturn 2020 is an 'idea' (Aquarius) whose time has come, digitally and otherwise. And although we're feeling strong hints of them now, how harsh the upcoming changes, reforms, and restrictions will be remains to be seen.

March 2020 and a Tragic Midpoint Picture of Death

March 21, 2020: Readers who are familiar with SO'W posts concerning the natal horoscope of Donald Trump have most likely run across my complaints about a certain midpoint picture under which Trump was born: Mars-Saturn = Pluto found in his natal 12th house of the Unconscious, Hidden Enemies, Karma, Self-Undoing, Large Institutions such as Hospitals, and Politics. As you know, Mars-Saturn is known as the 'death axis' according to Reinhold Ebertin, and denotes harmful, destructive energy. And as you know, astrological Pluto, planet of invisibility and karma, rules the realms of the Underworld, criminality and mobsters, power (including political and nuclear), transformation, surveillance, manipulation, control, the occult, and death.

Six Days in March 2020

Then a cosmic synchronicity occurred from March 13, 2020 (1:47 am edt) until March 18, 2020 (12:49 pm edt) when the very same tragic midpoint picture pulsed from within the transiting Capricorn line-up of planets and the Mars-Saturn-Pluto trio formed to echo Trump's Mars-Saturn = Pluto with its unfortunate potentials for: 'death of many people; murder; bodily injury or harm; intervention of a Higher Power' (Ebertin).

Of course, multiple Events of March 13, 2020 involved Covid-19 (plus, it was 'Friday the 13th').

And here is Democracy Now!'s March 18, 2020 Covid-19 Update as the number of infections were increasing.

Now as you know, large numbers of people are being tested and treated for CoronaVirus in other countries but in the US, "blameless" Trump, who initially called the contagion a "hoax" and kept to himself its existence for weeks as did others) has successfully managed to keep the American people and our healthcare system behind the curve with test kits, ventilators, hospital beds, masks, and other needed supplies and resources.

Yes, we can add Donnie's lackluster performance in the Covid-19 catastrophe to his other deficiencies of leadership--the list too long to mention--but to me, current events and his failures in leading the fight to protect and aid us against the virus seem more devilish than that since his sorriness could very well be purposeful, a method of depopulation, in fact, and an excuse for making extreme changes and reforms in and to our country (watch for them, they may turn out to be permanent!). And remember that the harsh, cruel January 12, 2020 Saturn-Pluto Conjunction @22Cap46 conjoined Trump's natal Vertex of fated encounters--and/or wish fulfillment!

In addition, many people have theorized that the current conditions of enforced isolation and illness could potentially include a cancellation of the 2020 Election and Trump retaining office. Now there's motivation for the power-mad gold-hoarder!

So whether Trump purposefully dropped the Covid-19 ball or not, I can never forget or discount Trump's natal midpoint picture of tragedy since the day in 2015 I first noticed it in his natal horoscope: Mars-Saturn = Pluto.

DC Horoscope: Donald Trump Solar Return 2020

The SR Mars-Neptune conjunction in SR 9th house of Foreign Lands and Legal Affairs conjoins the SR Saturn-Uranus midpoint (see midpoint picture, below) - all in shady, secretive, infection-prone Pisces, with Pisces on the 9th cusp. Sneaky things may be hidden here! And note that the Sabian Symbol for Mars-Neptune: "21Pisces" = "A Little White Lamb, a Child, and a Chinese Servant." Of course, a "servant" could describe Trump controlled or compromised by China (via money laundering), or it could have something to do with the beginning of the Wuhan virus with its most at-risk targets (or victims, such as seniors and children) represented by an innocent "child."

Then as you know, the 12th house is the Neptunian realm of the Unconscious, Politics, Large Institutions (ex: Congress), Self-Undoing, Karma, Secret Enemies, and, in relation to our topic, Hospitals and/or Illness (opposite the 6th house of Health and Service).

Along similar 6th/12th-house lines, the Mars-Neptune pair suggests, among other things, 'susceptibility to epidemic infections' according to Reinhold Ebertin (see right, center), and possibly 'fevers, weakened stamina', 'rioting over national healthcare', and/or 'hypo-adrenal conditions'.

Turbulent Circumstances

Therefore, since the world is under threat of the corona virus as I type, and because Trump's SR 2020 horoscope shows links to health concerns and weakness issues, this post will primarily relate to medical potentials particularly when it comes to Donald Trump (whose health could not possibly be as strong as 'they say'!) Of course, what's shown in his SR chart could be only due to the contagion itself and the circumstance that America is stuck with--a fact-and-science denier who's 'dealing' with the contagion along with the 'help' of VP Pence (put in charge to soak up any blame that accrues, I suspect; we'll see). On the brighter side, perhaps the viral threat will be over or mostly over by mid-June! After all, Trump's natal Jupiter-Uranus trine does make him quite the fortunate fellow and we could all use a lucky break on this one.

So let's get the troubling midpoint picture out of the way (political, social, biological), then we'll discuss Trump's 2020 SR Sun and SR Moon, the primary considerations in a Solar Return chart that's 'good for' an entire year. The following will contain a jumble of my usual sources: Ebertin, Tyl, and Munkasey; any, all, or none of the potentials may result or may be triggered by transits or progressions later on.

Saturn-Uranus Energies Combined with Mars-Neptune

As a midpoint, 'Saturn-Uranus' suggests potentials for 'counter-revolutionary rule, violent people, quarrels, avant-garde vs the conventional, the need to fight for gains, exciting the status quo, and/or heart block'.

Add Mars in contagious Pisces to Saturn-Uranus and several possibilities are suggested such as 'the wrong use of energy, violent acts, forced release from tension or strain, great efforts and toil, challenging others for a decisive contest or fight, deprivation of freedom, injury, tremendous upheaval possible in rebellion, calamity, or over-exertion, anxiety about how things will proceed'.

To Saturn-Uranus add Neptune, strong in its own sign of Pisces, and we have potentials for 'falsehood or malice caused through weakness, resigned to the inevitable, abandonment of resistance, weakening strength, separation, bereavement, masked changes designed to break traditional roles, the delusion that change will improve traditional methods, breakdown under emotional pressure', and/or 'a new vision fighting to be understood'.

As for Trump's SR 2020 Sun and Moon, here's a list of chart factors (not including the SR 10th house Uranus 9Tau09 which is unaspected and thus unencumbered by outside influences and acting independently in spurt-like bursts of activity--this echoes his chaos-loving natal Uranus, his guiding planet):

We should also note that powerful Pluto 24Cap28 leads the tilt of a BOWL shape denoting a leader with a mission or an advocate for a cause. Unfortunately, the mission and cause seem to be implementing an anti-constitutional dictatorship in America (Pluto in Capricorn = "the dictator"--Ebertin). Then in the 6th house of Health lurks the December 26, 2019 Solar Eclipse 4Cap06 in the 3 South Saros Series of 'traumatic transformation', this SR 2020's PE. But soon the Summer Solstice 2020 Solar Eclipse will manifest with 4 North themes of 'restraint, restriction, separation' (as in quarantine?), 'illusions', and 'events that block' (Brady).

Cosmic Conditions of Trump's 2020 Solar Return Sun and Moon include but are not limited to:

SR 2020 Sun in the Cadent 12th house (transitions, fluctuations, preparations, steps taken behind the scenes), along with the North Node of future direction (at a critical 29th degree) suggests solar events taking place near the end of the period--just before his 75th birthday June 2021. But in 2020, even the 9th house SR 2020 Moon complies for the 9th is also a Cadent house of preparation--and Trump's SR 2020 Sun and Moon square one another which suggests challenges, conflicts, frustration, and blockages between goals and needs; a Sun-Moon square in a Solar Return chart may suggest dynamic energy but is unfavorable in general, and may count as as a 'health aspect.'

Other SR Sun aspects: Mars-Neptune conjunction square SR Sun, Mars square SR Sun, and the Jupiter-Pluto conjunction quincunxes (150 degr) his Sun--all suggesting health-related conditions and adjustments needed, with the SR Sun naturally being same as his natal Sun (vitality).

Transit Mars square Trump's Sun often denotes aggression, conflicts with males, and/or head injuries or blocked vitality. And transit Neptune square his Sun indicates that his leadership position is difficult to maintain, confusion and deception reign, and formerly reliable resources may become elusive or eroded. Transit Neptune square his natal Moon (21Sag12) suggests even more confusion and disorganization along with undermining conditions (which can include health concerns). As you know, that's one trouble with a natal opposition-what squares one end squares the other, plus, his Gem-Sag Full Moon is on his (karmic) Nodal Axis. Additionally, Uranus in Taurus, sign of the throat and shoulders, forms a semi-square (45 degr) to both SR Sun and SR Moon--another health indicator which may be merely an irritant or a mild or minor issue. Hope his bone spurs won't act up! See the midpoint picture this forms listed, below.

A closer look at his SR Moon in mutable Pisces suggests potentials for drug involvement (also with Mars-Neptune), and/or physical fragility (yep and yep, I'd say). and with Luna in Pisces, there could be travel (of course), family concerns or loss, new conditions in the domestic sphere, or even a change of jobs (fingers crossed!)

Yet the SR 2020 chart does show beneficial opportunities and a 'ray of hope' for Trump such as the two sextiles (60 degr) from Jupiter and Pluto toward his SR Moon. Apparently, his influence upon the public remains in force although his tendency toward self-righteousness, being stuck in the past, and experiencing a measure of loss through habitual thinking will also continue.

Now before I forget, we should also note that wealthy/stealthy Pluto is the SR planet closest to a chart Angle and thus takes precedence in the chart as 'he' leads the BOWL toward the SR 6th house of Health, Daily Rounds, and Service (Civil, Police, and Military).

Obviously, the Trump coup continues, perhaps with some of its 'reforms for improvement' hidden beneath the corona virus scare and the future restrictions he and his authoritarian comrades have in store. For as we see, the planetary trio of heavyweights appearing in the SR 7th house of Partnerships suggests potentials for 'religious and social fanaticism' and/or 'difficulties caused through illness'.

Now let's close with a few potentials of the SR 2020 chart's four midpoint pictures:

Sun-Moon = Uranus: 'isolating oneself; unusual twists of fate; using Astrology'.

Mars-North-Node = Uranus: 'accidental breaks in the thrusts or tensions of important meetings; disinterested presentations'.

Neptune-North-Node = Uranus: 'disruption and agitation via the actions of others; sudden displacement then isolation' (this picture turns up in the DNC 2020 horoscope).

Venus-ASC = North Node: 'easily meeting others'.

Well, there it is, my glancing assessment of Trump's Solar Return 2020 Horoscope. And if I added one more cosmic factor of curiosity it would be that the SR Ascendant 22Cancer12 brings up Inauguration 2017's Syzygy Moon (last lunation prior to January 20, 2017) which is, was, and always will be, the Full Moon of January 12, 2017 conjunct the natal Saturn of the 'unaccountable' yet Saturnine Mr. Trump.

Moon-Tracking DNC 2020 and RNC 2020

February 28, 2020: Solar and Lunar Considerations for DNC and RNC 2020

Dual Images: DNC opens July 13, 2020 Milwaukee, WI "12:00 am" CDT (upper right); RNC opens August 24, 2020 Charlotte, NC "12:00 am" EDT (lower left). Charts are set for 12:00 am in order to 'snag' the earliest positions of both Sun (leadership) and Moon (We the People; the public mood). The DNC lasts until the evening of July 16th while the RNC winds up during the evening of August 27th. Ranges of motion of Sun and Moon over those dates are listed, below.

Both conventions fall under the disruptive influences of the 4 North Solar Eclipse which perfects at Summer Solstice June 21, 2020 @00Can21, a Cardinal World Point of manifestation, fame, recognition, and global events. Eclipse themes include potentials for: 'restraint, restriction, separation, inhibition, and illusion along with events that block progress and a tendency toward misjudging strength or the situation' (Brady's Predictive Astrology). One wonders if the corona virus contagion is included within these themes since by Summer public gatherings may be limited in scope, barely attended, or cancelled. Be that as it may or may not be--

DNC and RNC 2020: Tracking the Sun and Moon

Tracking both Sun (leadership) and Moon (the public mood, plus, you and me) through both charts/conventions over the length of each party's dates of activity (from 12 am to 11:59 pm each day) can be revealing. First comes the Democratic National Convention from July 13 to July 16, then the Republicans take center stage from August 24 to August 27. Note that during RNC 2020, Donald Trump enjoys a Lunar Return (to 21Sag12 conjunct his natal South Node) on Wednesday August 26th at 9:53:26 pm edt with Mars trine Moon (things hum along, males cooperate) and Neptune continues its off-and-on square to natal Moon (shifting alliances, undermining obstacles, confusion, lethargy, and/or deception). A lunar return at this particular time may be an indicator of people returning to Trump as their candidate or nominee based on emotional considerations and/or unconscious motivations. Also, on August 19th perfects RNC 2020's Syzygy Moon, a New Moon @26Leo35--conjunct Trump's natal Mars which denotes a new cycle of activity for him, plus, a seeding of new plans with his typical Martian qualities of aggression and brashness.

There are three Sun-Moon blends during each political party's convention thanks to Luna changing signs; the following notes are primarily from Sun Sign-Moon Sign by Charles and Suzi Harvey, and one of their "Images for Integration" is included to describe each combination of energies:

With the convention's Syzygy Moon (last lunation prior) actually the Lunar Eclipse of July 5th (@13Cap37), DNC 2020 opens July 13th with Sun Cancer-Moon Aries, a steamy, perhaps scalding or sterilizing Water-Fire blend with a Moon-Mars influence that comes out fighting, is passionate about individual rights, combines tenderness with bravado, and has a patriotic heart committed to personal values. Yet a sharp tongue may be evident along with a brisk, authoritative manner hiding that sensitive lunar-ruled Sun sign. And so July 14th's Sun Cancer-Moon Taurus is a practical Water-Earth blend with Moon-Venus vibes that suggests the intuition, responsibility, and tenaciousness of a practical idealist and the talent of a natural psychologist. However this blend can become stubborn, fussy, and autocratic at times while exhibiting old fashioned values, shrewdness, and an ability to listen to the needs of others, but with a tendency toward subjective prejudices. Then on July 16th at 12:19 am CDT, Luna enters Mercury-ruled Gemini and an ethereal Sun Cancer-Moon Gemini Water-Air blend begins to flavor DNC proceedings. This chatty combination suggests potentials for self-deprecating humor, wittiness, sensitivity to others, and popularity but can tend toward indecisiveness or vacillation. Shrewd yet warm-hearted, this perceptive blend is that of a natural teacher. Image for Integration: "A family plays a game of charades." (This word picture makes me wonder if the outcome of the DNC's political performances is predetermined and meant only as entertainment for the masses! But that's my cynical nature typing after almost 15 years of peering at DC Politics through the revealing lens of Astrology. You, dear reader, certainly don't have to agree!)

Now for the three Sun-Moon blends of RNC 2020. And stay tuned for the most significant midpoint pictures in force during the whole of both conventions for they'll be added to the end of this post.

RNC 2020 opens on August 24th with Sun Virgo-Moon Scorpio, a practical Earth-Water blend influenced by intense Mercury-Mars-Pluto vibes. This blend suggests dedication, resourcefulness, loyalty, subjectivism, opinionation, and piousness; it prefers to get on with a useful, dutiful, well-defined job. Analytical, rational, and critical, folks influenced by the vibes of Sun Virgo-Moon Scorpio are far more emotionally motivated than they believe themselves to be, tend to exhibit a fighting spirit, and can be fanatical about "getting it right." Note that anti-abortion laws may be part of this picture and its Image for Integration is: "A zealous insect-lover stands quietly in the bushes observing the mating habits of the praying mantis." (Nosy much?) And actually at its opening the Scorpio Moon precisely opposes radical Uranus in Taurus with potentials for erratic or nontraditional behavior, anti-social conduct, and a tendency to misjudge other people.

(So both DNC and RNC contain strong Moon-Uranus influences which may be exciting but hint at sudden reforms, emotionally immature people, and/or leaders who rule by whim. That's on both sides.)

Then on Tuesday August 25th at 8:48:54 am EDT, Luna enters Sagittarius creating a Mercury-Jupiter flavored Sun Virgo-Moon Sag combo of Earth and Fire, the scorched-earth blend of a bull dozer. Under these influences the convention's atmosphere turns rather restless yet remains under a measure of control--plus, criticism takes on a more moralistic tone. Offended beliefs and high standards for others lead to emotional distance and aloofness yet rules and traditions can be tossed away or ignored when it's personally convenient for rule-makers. In part, 'prim and proper eccentrics' may be who is described here.

Finally, RNC 2020 closes the evening of August 27th with a Sun Virgo-Moon Capricorn combination of energies, a double-Earth blend, its deepest fear that of losing control. Luna enters ambitious, austere, authoritarian Capricorn in the early afternoon at 1:36:39 pm EDT after floating out-of-bounds of the earthly plane since 8:30 am EDT, a detached and/or alienated condition for the public's Moon. This may suggest some loss of audience or public favor especially since the Moon simultaneously conjoins its own transiting South Node which may suggest a loss of popularity and/or bad timing. Meanwhile, ambition, skepticism, workaholism, and polished professionalism are exhibited onstage along with a basic expectation to 'get back what's been given' (or, a tit for tat attitude? too much austerity?). Long-held convictions are a driving force while rational justifications for every action and goal are well-rehearsed and ready for presentation. For this blend let's add two Images for Integration: "A headline: Small town boy makes good...Fine bone china," perhaps with an emphasis on China.

Now to close, let's consider the two significant midpoint pictures which remain in effect during each convention:

For the Democrats the ongoing influence is Neptune-North Node = Uranus creating potentials for 'self-willed motives that upset group expectations; becoming upset over the anti-social conduct of others; a sudden displacement from associations; and/or the undermining of relationships'. I suspect this may refer to the DNC taking away the people's choice of Senator Bernie Sanders as the Democratic nominee but of course this situation may morph into different circumstances by July. However, the Neptune-NN pairing does suggest anti-social conduct and a lack of community spirit from any angle--and Michael Munkasey in Midpoints: Unleashing the Power of the Planets reveals it as "a leadership which is unwilling or unable to consider the demands of its people." Add the Moon to the midpoint picture (when Luna meets Uranus @10Taurus!) and we have 'someone feeling ostracized' (Tyl). Is that We The People whose preference is being ignored by the DNC, Bernie being cheated, or both?

As for the Republicans, the ongoing midpoint picture through the entire shebang is Jupiter-Saturn = Pluto with potentials for: 'immense effort, violent changes, separation, restriction (resonates with 4 North eclipse themes listed, above); intense business activity, a total reversal of plans; dramatic thrust of self; control of the situation; fearlessness; and/or major change of situation'.

Crimea, Scheat, and the 2020 Saturn-Pluto Conjunction

Misfortune and Danger for the Crimean Moon

October 4, 2019: In Nicholas Campion's The Book of World Horoscopes is a founding chart for Crimea #67 and since I've been reviewing the horoscopes of various nations to see where the January 12, 2020 Saturn-Pluto Conjunction falls and whether or not this difficult, karmic, pressurizing pair of heavyweights will conjoin an angle or a planet or two in national charts, I can say that for Crimea (Ukrainian Republic) the 2020 Saturn-Pluto Conjunction @22Cap46 perfects within the nation's 3rd house between Neptune Rx (18Cap54) and Saturn (18AQ04) with Neptune 'roping in' Uranus Rx (17Cap56, both in 3rd house) as they align for their Great Conjunction/s of 1993 (the 'NWO' pair), and authoritative Saturn which conjuncts natal IC from the 4th house side.

Therefore, the 2020 Saturn-Pluto Conjunction hits nearest Crimea's natal Neptune (orb 3:46)--perhaps not close enough to affect its 3rd house Neptune unduly yet the midpoint picture formed by the transit-to-natal trio is not comforting for it suggests such things as: "instability, fraud, lies, immorality, shattered nerves, and danger" via the Neptunian realms of "water, poison, or gas" (Ebertin). Noel Tyl adds: "being doubted; not being seen for who one is; unstable life situation because of the inexplicable, because of fear" (Solar Arcs). Interesting since Crimea has been often described as suffering from an identity crisis.

When Fiery Mars the Warrior Meets Scheat, Star of Misfortune

Based on the date that the Crimean Parliament approved an act of independence from Ukraine, Crimea's horoscope #67 is set for May 5, 1992 16:00 GMT Simferopol, USSR (ASC 6Scorpio but my software gives ASC 10Scoo2) with a 7th house Sun @15Tau24 (the Oxen Point) and an 8th house Moon @22Gem53; as you see, the Crimean Moon conjoins Trump's natal Sun (a third of his 10th house Gemini trio) and exactly conjuncts US natal Mars. In 5th house, Crimea's natal Mars, the warrior planet of males, weaponry and strife, @29Pis49 forms an unfortunate conjunction with fixed star Scheat, known primarily for its negative potentials of misfortune, suffering, suicide, murder, imprisonment, and/or "malevolence of a sublime scope" (A. Louis). However, on a positive level, Scheat can bestow artistic and literary talents although Crimea's misfortune to be annexed by Russia in 2014 reveals the more negative expressions of the star as the people suffer human rights abuses and false accusations are leveled at innocent targets in order to stifle dissent against Russia and Putin.

As we see, Scheat's potentials for imprisonment and sublime malevolence afflict the land and the Crimean people and are made worse by the star's conjunction with fiery Mars. Meanwhile, the international community haggles over whether Crimea belongs with Ukraine or Russia. To me the answer seems obvious!

January 2019: Opening of the 116th Congress

December 13, 2018: For the congress-curious reader Ballotpedia provides 2019 congressional information such as members' salaries, Committee details, and more.

Last I heard, the 116th Congress of the United States is scheduled to open on January 3, 2019, probably at 12:00 noon ET, Capitol Building, Washington DC. Of course, swearings-in of new members will be a first order of business--and the Moon in Sagittarius denotes outsiders, or someone different in the House! And amazingly, these new members have lowered the average age of Congress by a decade and many of them are ladies (Moon).

A Little Astrology: January 3, 2019 noon est Capitol Hill

If this date and hour are accurate, some interesting midpoint pictures appear at that particular moment, some that involve the Midheaven ('MC'), Point of Aspirations, Goals, and Public Status as it passes over the Capitol Building. This chart works symbolically even if the opening hour changes so let's consider a few chart factors for this date which has quite often been the opening date of Congress--I know, because it's my birth date and as a child it seemed that Congress opened every year as 'a gift' for little Capricorn me. Silly, of course, but no one told me differently so I persisted with the illusion! For it seemed a small and private honor then but that was before Congress members broke the public trust they had had with the American people back then and began neglecting their constitutional duties. Now we see the hot mess that has brought to America.

Yet hope must forever spring! So let us consider some prominent chart factors and their potential expressions for January 3, 2019 at the semi-speculative hour of 12:00 pm ET Capitol Building Washington DC with a few basic chart details penned messily upon the chart, plus, some natal placements of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (in blue) and Donald Trump (in lavender pink):

Rising is 18Aries14, appropriate for a new undertaking, plus, 19Aries is the Exaltation of the Sun degree (but also the Fall of Saturn degree--Devore). This places the natal Jupiter of Speaker Pelosi on the Ascendant--opposing the natal Jupiter of Donald Trump on Descendant. Financial quarrels rising! yet Jupiter also relates to Politics, ideals, and plans for expansion. And note that Venus in Scorpio leads a BOWL shape of all the planets which suggests to me that Venus represents Nancy Pelosi whose natal Mars is opposed by this Venus (see chart notes in blue, bottom left). It's a 'battle of the sexes' continued for you know what Speaker Pelosi said about Trump's manhood after their dust-up in the Oval Office over funding for his border wall and his threat of a possible "Trump Shutdown"!

Now Aries rising makes testy Mars the chart-ruler and therefore the ruler of the 116th Congress. Meanwhile, activist Mars @1Ari45, just past the Aries Point ('AP') of Fame and Recognition, has risen and is in the 12th house of Politics and Large Institutions such as the US Congress; can Back Room deals be far behind? No doubt some have already been proposed and accepted. Or perhaps 12th house Mars, a leader and trailblazer, (with guru Chiron @28Pis11--a mentor?) will act as a Secret Enemy of the behind-the-scenes 12th house variety. After all, The Leader, the Sun @13Cap01 is in 10th house near the MC (10Cap07) but surrounded by enemies--or are they henchmen? For restrictive Saturn @11Cap41 and powerful manipulator Pluto @20Cap41 (at critical degree) form a trio with the Capricorn Sun (also at critical degree) and we might wish to consider the trio's potentials within a midpoint picture--fading but still somewhat in effect due to the weightiness of karmic Saturn and karmic Pluto along with the solar importance of the day. Plus, the Sun's position in Capricorn marks the annual opposition to US natal Sun @13Cancer when plans and goals of the nation should be reassessed and altered if necessary in order to reach goals.

Saturn-Pluto = Sun: sparing no pains in one's work; renunciation; privation; physical toil and over-exertion; physical separation. A closer midpoint picture exists at noon as well--Sun-MC = Saturn: the necessity to make grave or difficult decisions; reserve; a negative outlook (economic, I suspect, along with Everything Trump, plus, big donor/corporate interests interference). But another thing about the 2019 Sun: it conjoins asteroid Icarus who in hubris flew too close to the Sun in an escape attempt so that his wings melted. As you know, Icarus refused to listen to his papa (Saturn)! Yet does this Capricorn Sun surrounded by legal-eagle planet Saturn (Mr. Mueller?) and hidden-power Pluto (foreign and/or wealthy manipulators--saboteurs or assassins) actually represent on another level Donald Trump who is also an Icarus figure? Will he escape indictment and/or impeachment? (See today's CNN news about Trump's Friends Flipping on Him.)

Or does the Icarus archetype signify congress members whose wings are singed by standing too close to Trump (Republicans) or who will somehow stand in Big T's way as the congressional session continues (Democrats)? Perhaps all of the above? Not knowing as I type if the Mueller Report will have been released by January 3, 2019 and possibly sent to the House--or partially revealed to the public--these questions are impossible to answer with any certainty, at least by yours truly. Plus, Trump's tax returns by federal law can be demanded by the chair of the Ways and Means Committee without approval by the Senate, as House Democrats have promised - yet Astrology can't tell us everything.

By comparison, the 115th Congress horoscope for January 3, 2018 12:00 pm est showed evaluating Venus @11Cap56 in place of 2019 Saturn with Sun 13Cap16 (opposing US natal Sun in Cancer, did we say?) and primal Pluto @18Cap52 which activated the 1993 'New World Order' Uranus-Neptune conjunction/s with their 'the big picture must be followed, very little option to do otherwise' (Tyl) and Sabian Symbol for 18Cap: POLITICAL POWER (Jones) which implies foreign control or interference (ex: the City of London). It will interesting if tragic as 2019 proceeds to see what the idealism and plans of the progressive new members morph into as the riot act is read them by party bosses Pelosi and Schumer. If past methods hold, new members will be instructed that they will vote how they're told to vote but hopefully such strong-arming will lessen for the good of the American people who voted for a more progressive agenda than party hats have provided so far, their cotton-filled ears notwithstanding. Yet Ms. Pelosi has reportedly agreed to step down in 2022 so we'll see if the backlash against her speakership has abated for now in this generational clash.

Now with Mars as chart-ruler 'his' applying Ptolemaic aspects give clues as to how things will proceed. However, this Mars makes no applying aspects in the chart which emphasizes the warrior planet's sign and house position--Aries, his own sign, and 12th house of Politics and Karma so it looks like it's going to be an active, possibly pioneering, and secretive two years, folks, for among the new members of the 116th Congress there must be at least a few Aries-inspired ladies among them!

Jan 2019: 2 of Trump's 12th House Midpoints 'eclipsed'

Recently we discussed how the Lunar Eclipse of January 21, 2019 @00Leo51 'eclipses' US Inaugural Sun (@0AQ49 on January 20, 2017 = Trump as POTUS) which thus affects or influences the role and office of the presidency as performed by Donald Trump. Well, a quick peek at Mr. Trump's natal 12th house midpoints and midpoint pictures reveals a couple of points which may be worthy of note for the astro-inclined Trump watchers among us, be there any besides myself. (Ya know who ya are!) However, since Mr. Trump's 12th house midpoint picture of Mars-Saturn = Pluto (violent destruction, brutality, cruelty) has been noted multiple times here and elsewhere, it won't turn up again in this post.

Using our astrological lens to look behind the scenes (12th h) of Politics and politicians (a practical endeavor which some astrologers critique me for while occasional trolls prefer to agonize over my liberal viewpoint of brother's keeper and retaining a democratic Republic, aka, a sovereign America--but not an America of intolerance and hatred spewed by a lewd, indiscreet racist bully who considers himself above the law and fails to protect and defend the Constitution), we find a couple of Trump's midpoints to consider which will be spotlighted by the January 2019 Lunar Eclipse as it 'eclipses' the US Inaugural Sun. Significantly, both midpoints conjunct his 12th house cusp (1Leo55), 'hug' it, in fact, from 11th and 12th house sides in the Placidus system.

But First: Stars and Eclipses

As you know, eclipses both solar and lunar tend to trigger revelations and awareness as secrets, leaks, and scandals inconveniently emerge into a glaring spotlight. Eclipses are often called 'cosmic blinks' or 'wild cards of the Universe' similar to astrological Uranus' disruptive, often shocking interference in earthly events. All eclipse energies work through individuals who can make or change history. If a fixed star is present by degree, eclipse energies are increased, strengthened, and/or more focused, and a cosmic 'caution' from the star involved combines with the eclipse's themes and possibilities. A recent example is The Great American Eclipse of August 21, 2017 @29Leo conjunct royal Regulus (cosmic caution: success if revenge is avoided--otherwise, all that's been gained will be taken away-Brady)--and the 1 North Eclipse directly conjoined the natal Ascendant (29Leo) of Donald Trump. One theme of all 1 Norths: information is distorted and possibly false. Ya think?

12th House: Politics, Large Institutions, Backroom Deals, Karma, Self-Undoing, the Unconscious hides Trump's Saturn-Pluto and Neptune-Midheaven Midpoints

Mr. Trump's natal 12th house cusp @1Leo42 (Placidus), ruled by the Sun which, when associated with the 12th house = unconscious arrogance; politics, lurks behind his 12th house curtain and conjoins his natal Saturn-Pluto midpoint (@1Leo55; potentials: turmoil in older structures; upsets in checks and balances; keeping affairs secret; restraints on destructive weapons; secret preparations for future restrictions; hoarding resources; use of secret police or military agencies) yet another midpoint snugs just on the other side of the 12th house cusp and it's Neptune-Midheaven @00Leo04 (dreams and visions of the leadership hint at future plans; leaders who allow others to deceive them about intentions and motives; official scandals of very large proportions). Certainly that last implication gathers steam as I type and threatens to increase once Democrats chair congressional committees in 2019...like a snowball rolling downhill.

Now as you know, the Saturn-Pluto duo suggests potentials for compression, hardship, cruelty, and violence (Ebertin). Historically, civilization is now mired within the duo's current cycle (which began with their last conjunction on November 8, 1982 @27Lib36 where transit Venus Rx now tarries, forming a temporary off-and-on midpoint picture of 1982 Saturn-Pluto = 2018 Venus: estrangement, alienation, love of seclusion, self-discipline, renunciation). Coming soon is their next Great Conjunction on January 12, 2020 @22Cap46--conjunct the natal Vertex of Donald Trump (as I continue tiresomely to mention in my posts) with Vertex the point of fated/karmic encounters, endings--yet possibly of wish fulfillment.

Then encountering such harsh energies at Vertex in early 2020, will Trump manage to use the destructive Saturn-Pluto energies against others (he has lots of practice) or will its portents somehow 'happen' to him? Significantly, the 2020 conjunction @22Cap46 opposes Trump's natal Saturn in Cancer as well--ouch! And since both planets are considered to be of a karmic nature and karma is 'reaping what's been sown' then it would only be fair if the Saturn-Pluto cruelties he drenches and projects onto others returned to a non-repentant man such as his nibs. Actually, this reminds me of the old, 'he can dish it out but he can't take it' critique which, as others have observed, applies to a raging Mr. Trump whose shaky hold on self-esteem and power don't protect him in the direct-challenge department--and the Saturn-Pluto blend is also 'transforming forces meet immovable object'. Well, he who makes enemies has enemies. And tragically, this applies all too well to America.

Adding to the complexity, Trump's natal Neptune-MC midpoint @00Leo04 is part of the 'eclipsed' implications via the January 21, 2019 Lunar Eclipse @00Leo51--and Neptune-MC in Politics and Business suggests, as noted above, "official scandals of very large proportions" plus, "Utopians, crooks, and swindlers" (we should add 'deception used in career'), and on a personal level suggests insecurity, peculiar ideas, Utopians, crooks, swindlers, depressive psychoses, succumbing to unusual influences, big talkers of little action, weaklings, and/or the pursuit of wrong ideas.

Curiously, America's Natal and Progressed Pluto positions (27--30Cap) oppose Trump's Neptunian midpoint so here I shall parrot the excellent *Michael Munkasey who notes that these deceptive energies were active during and around the Resignation of Richard Nixon and for Trump, contains the added participation of saboteur and ace manipulator, US Pluto. So is it strange that, as I type, transit Pluto of the Criminal Syndicate-Underworld, languishes @19Cap13, the very position of Richard Nixon's natal Sun which suggests a period when issues of power, control, and the abuse of power are atop our nation's political agenda and are expressing through the hefty form of Donald J. Trump?

Midpoints of the Jupiter-Saturn Conjunction December 2020

DC Horoscope: Jupiter-Saturn Conjunction December 21, 2020 @00AQ29 (conjunct US POTUS Sun) 1:20 pm est White House Washington DC:

Midpoint Potentials for societal planets Jupiter (expansion) and Saturn (restriction) when their energies combine approximately every 20 years - in Politics or Business (Michael Munkasey) = checks and balances; changes in governmental, religious, or social orders; repression based on morality instituted by law or religion; a judicial system at its breaking point; leniency and harshness vie for balance within the overall social and economic systems.

To Jupiter-Saturn Reinhold Ebertin adds: government officials, politicians, law professors, clergymen, civil servants of the administration.

To Jupiter-Saturn Noel Tyl adds: Law and order, ambition given the go-ahead signal; patience pays off, feeling righter than right; dogmatic; control tempers zeal; opportunities are carefully evaluated; success takes on long-term security; one has "made it happen"; strategy.

Midpoint Picture: Jupiter-Saturn = (POTUS) Sun: (my bold and italics)

Boasting a lot; dreaming of a potential for actuality; feeling you can positively influence social change; an increase in self-pride and ability to demonstrate positive leadership before others (Munkasey); inconstancy; moodiness (via liver disturbances); happy in solitude; change of residence; gaining experience (Ebertin); taking destiny into one's own hands; major changes according to plan; or, if nothing has been prepared, becoming gripped by the status quo and having to make the best of things (Tyl).

Any, all, or none of these midpoint potentials may apply or express no matter who sits in the Oval Office playing the role of President of the United States in 2020 and beyond, and any of the midpoints can be activated by transits, progressions, lunations (New and Full Moons) and solar and lunar eclipses.

That the Great Conjunction of heavyweights Jupiter and Saturn occurs at Winter Solstice 2020 makes it more influential and of global significance. Especially since they are considered the 'flywheel of the Universe" (yin-yang) which keeps our Solar System's planets orbiting within their courses.

We should also note that the explosive, violent Mars-Uranus midpoint rises and conjoins the Ascendant of the above chart which suggests potentials for upsetting events, arrests, or injuries (Ebertin); and/or deriving enjoyment from agitating or upsetting others (Munkasey).

Of course, the last and current cycle of Jupiter-Saturn in effect until December 21, 2020 is the conjunction of May 28, 2000 @22Tau43, one of the heralds of the New Millennium. '23Taurus' = "A Jewelry Shop Filled with the Most Magnificent Gems"..."negative expression: a greediness which betrays the soul with trifles" (Jones). Curiously enough, the 2000 conjunction occurred at the natal MC (Goals; Aspirations) of the greedy Donald Trump who seems to have betrayed his country for filthy lucre.

Now here's an excerpt from a previous post which involves a time link via the 19-year solar eclipse cycle between year 2000 and year 2019:

"The Pre-Natal Eclipse Series ('PE') of the New Millennium is the 2 South Saros Series which manifested on December 25, 2000 @4Cap15. The 2 South Series involves themes of 'becoming involved with unusual groups and feeling that one will gain a great deal through such involvement' (paraphrasing Brady's Predictive Astrology.)

2 South next manifests on Jan 5, 2019 @15Capricorn25 (in the US) and as you know, Saturn-ruled Capricorn is the sign of government, law, business, and other Saturnian realms."

Here I'll add that the 2 South eclipse of January 5, 2019 manifests upon the Saturnian South Node of the New Millennium Horoscope, a point of separation and possible neurosis when tactics or defenses of the past no longer suffice but are irrationally used anyway. Coupled with the eclipse @15Capricorn, this may suggest long-established groups of the past and separation from rather than the joining of them.

And if we wish to focus on the heavyweight trio of planets in the 10th house of Public Status and Career in the above chart, we can briefly consider potentials of three midpoint pictures between them which will form into year 2021 if not before:

Hidden History: the Eugenics Record Office Is for Sale

Few people now realize that Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory in Laurel Hollow, NY was once the 'seat of eugenics in America' and its Wikipedia page gives its date of establishment as 1890 which times the budding of the endeavor near the *Great Conjunction/s of Neptune and Pluto in early Gemini. In more recent decades it has been an award-winning research facility in genetics, cancer research, etc, though some people may claim that 'genetics' is eugenics lurking under another name.

*As you know, the current cycle of Neptune-Pluto began with their precise meetings on August 2, 1891, November 5, 1891, and April 30, 1892 at 8Gem38, 8Gem19, and 7Gem42, respectively. These degrees activated America's natal Uranus (8Gem55), quirky planet of novelty and progress. 4 Virgo and the Midpoint Pictures of Trump and Hitler

Is it some sort of hellish alt-right synchronicity that the current and the soon-coming Secondary Progressed (SP) New Moons of Donald Trump and Adolf Hitler fall so near one another at 3:28 and 3 degrees of the Mercury-ruled sign of Virgo?

Hitler's SP New Moon recently perfected on February 24, 2017 @3Vir28:15 (at 12:28:29 pm CET; natal location: Braunau am Inn, Austria). Rounded up = 4 Virgo; 3 Virgo is the karmic confrontation degree which is not included in this brief post).

Trump's SP New Moon @3Vir00:12 perfects on September 19, 2019 (at 7:19:51 pm edt; Queens, NY, in case you want to set up transit charts to compare with their natal and progressed charts).

SP New Moons issue from, or are based on, natal horoscopes; view the horoscopes of Adolf Hitler (RR: AA) and/or Donald Trump (RR: AA).

So as you probably already know, the Sabian Symbol for '4 Virgo' is particularly revealing of these two egomaniac snake oil salesmen who use racism, Goebbels' Big Lie tactic, and other emotionally based rhetoric to manipulate and divide the masses. (edit: with topics such as this):

(The prison gang/crime syndicate the aryan brotherhood is closer to the black vs white truth kept continually stirred up into a simmer, then a boil by vested financial interests--profiteering warmongers who start wars for other men and women to fight; many of them are bald and "dominate gatherings.")

So both Trump's and Hitler's mdpt pictures show emotional issues if not outright neuroses and both have separation ingrained in the chart (aka, 'closeness vs freedom' complexes). Both these self-defensive actors have potentials for attacks from others and both have a Midpoint Rising in their natal charts: Saturn-Neptune = ASC for Donald, and Jupiter-Saturn = ASC for Adolf.

Trump & Paul Ryan Team Up To Make Healthcare Bill Even Worse

Update March 23, 2017: as you've heard before now, Mr. Trump's health care bill vote has been postponed by congressional Republicans due to lack of support (not enough votes from their own party since allegedly no Democrat will vote for its draconianess and they need 215 votes to pass it). You may find that these actions and non-actions on Capitol Hill this week are at least partially described by the Mars-Neptune addition below The Young Turks' video report.

Another factor specific to Mr. Trump is Saturn's ongoing transit to his natal Moon (publicity) and South Node (a karmic Saturnian point of separation and/or of falling back on what worked in the past but no longer does = neurosis), a transit which restricts, denies, or delays his need fulfillment (Moon), lowers his popularity or approval ratings (Moon = the public), and may cause temper tantrums. Simultaneously (and because he was born under a Full Moon), Saturn opposes Trump's natal Sun and North Node which accounts for recent photos of a glum Mr. Trump with what is likely to be a bruised ego. Health and vitality may also be affected with transit Saturn opposing natal Sun and conjunct natal Moon--perhaps just a cold in his dose or a slight headache?

Mars in Pisces Not at His Best Then Along Comes Neptune

As you know, now sitting is the 115th US Congress which convened January 3, 2017 with testosterone-driven Mars @11Pisces where confused, confusing Neptune has floated of late suggesting much of the troubles Republicans in Congress are now having with their shaky (some would say, disappointing) attempts to repeal and replace one of their favorite political boogeymen, 'Obamacare' (the ACA). For when transit Neptune spreads all over action-oriented Mars we have a period when deception and delusion undermine physical efforts to the point where some refuse to make any effort (or cast a Yes vote) at all!

Other potentials of Neptune to Mars include impractical, unrealistic schemes that over-promise great and/or quick results (as Trump and the GOP did), and though intuition may run high, other planetary factors must provide stability and cooperation in the activities of the 115th Congress. The GOP health care 'plan' is sub-par legislation on many levels and if we use the Mars-Neptune influence as a clue we find that a potential for "rioting over nationalized health care" could be in our future.

The Modern Humanity Horoscope and Mr. Trump

Pictured below is the previously published Horoscope of Modern Humanity with scribbles intact if you care to enlarge the image. Modern Humanity's 'birth' time is based on two cosmic factors: the exact moment of the Total Solar Eclipse of April 26, 1892 and the third of three Great Conjunctions of generational planets Neptune and Pluto. Solar Eclipses are not rare, of course, but the cycle of Neptune and Pluto is approximately 492 years in length. And it is rare that an eclipse occurred so close to a Great Conjunction of outer planets!

So here are we 'moderns' in all our bullish, gold-loving Taurean splendor:

The 1892 Total Solar Eclipse @7Tau05 suggests the greed embedded within humanity (Taurus is possessive, greedy, and intolerant on its worst days but it is a sign of Growth). In the chart, you see that the Neptune-Pluto conjunction (which perfected as near as can be told on April 30, 1892) occurred @7Gemini+ which conjoined US natal Uranus (July 4, 1776 Uranus @8Gem55 = freedom, independence, war and revolution!) and that gives us a midpoint picture worth considering (below) yet that isn't why I re-post this horoscope today.

The reason for today's shout-out to Modern Humanity (for which the Great Cosmic Clock restarted during the oligarchic Robber Baron age of exploiters whose biological and ideological descendants continue to plunder the world as I type) is that the hugely Jupiterian-Uranian Mr. Trump has an interesting time link to the 1892 Neptune-Pluto conjunction--and he's something of a 'robber baron' himself with criminal associations of the mobster kind, elements that are also in the Underworld realms of Neptune-Pluto.

Mr. Trump's Prenatal Eclipse (PE), which manifested on May 30, 1946 @8Gem48 in the 2 Old North series, is also his Syzygy Moon since it was the last lunation prior to his birth on June 14, 1946. His PE effects are strong and reveal a prevailing lunar influence which adds to his problematic Moon-South Node conjunction opposing his Sun-North Node conjunction. Yes, his relationships are definitely affected and separations may occur with 2 Old North--and separations may occur with disruptive Uranus, the planet that leads the pack in Mr. Trump's natal chart. And as you know, eclipses are called 'wild cards of the Universe' since their effects (if any!) are completely unpredictable. However, they do tend to uncover inconvenient secrets with fair regularity and we may depend upon their 'themes' to give us a hint of general trends 'running in the background' of society.

Actually, the Uranian Tweeter IS a wild card in a very leaky White House!

Plus, he has other time links to this chart such as evaluating Venus (venal and retaliatory at times) which loves luxury (like gilded NY apartments), and @22Gemini in 1892, Venus falls into the midst of Mr. Trump's quirky Uranus-NN-Sun trio in his 10th house of Career and Public Status. There are other time links between Trump's natal planets and the 1892 chart and I'm certain you can find them if you wish.

Meanwhile, back in April of 1892, the Solar Eclipse @7Tau05 was also of the 2 Old North persuasion and my feeling is that 2 Old North themes of separation, ending of unions, rifts, schisms, and bad news concerning relationships describe the tendencies of Modern Humanity and are emphasized in 2017 with time links because someone thought putting Donald Trump in the White House (and all the other Trumps) was a great idea.

Well, according to the Great Cosmic Clock and the phenomenon of cosmic time links, the idea may have been timely in a sense but for the sake of America as a sovereign and welcoming nation with a decent though flawed reputation in the world, the flaws, rifts, and separations are piling up by the minute--and an non-mandated Trump White House is definitely not a great idea. However, it does disrupt the progressive course we were on...

Astrologically, we may wish to remember that the current 115th Congress began its tenure under the influence of a Fist of God (aka, Thor's Hammer) pattern if one doesn't mind counting the North Node of the Moon (NN, @4Virgo) as one point. In this case I believe it applies since the Cardinal Square between radical zealot Uranus in Aries and powerful saboteur Pluto in Capricorn forms the base of the Fist pattern which points toward the NN of the public.

We might even stretch to a midpoint picture between the three especially with the public discourse full these days with references to revolution:

Uranus-Pluto = NN: associations with others who share ideas on how to change the world through new approaches (M. Munkasey); and/or, teamwork pays off but egos are put first in line (N. Tyl).

Ebertin adds that the combination of Uranus and Pluto = collapse of the old order, construction of the new. What he doesn't add is the oppression, exploitation, and outright neglect of We the People who have little space remaining as it is on Washington's world domination agenda.

Decade of Change: the Outer Planet Conjunctions of the 1950s

If you're reading this article you may not have been alive in the 1950s and 'missed' the Great Conjunctions of the decade. It was a decade of change and new conditions across the globe and in America so I've put together a list of the four planetary conjunctions of the 1950s, when their energies combined and the Great Cosmic Clock started over for each pair. (Update 12.12.16: recently news appears that the mystery of the Killer London Fog of December 1952 has been solved as per the first Saturn conjunction with foggy Neptune in airy Libra as noted, below.

As Above So Below! for there were descriptive historical events during the 1950s which resonate with the planetary pairs on the list:

Societal planet Saturn conjoined Neptune of the masses and the media three times in the 21 to 23 degrees of airy Libra: 1. November 21, 1952; 2. May 1, 1953; 3. July 22, 1953; when combined, Saturn-Neptune denotes such sociological correspondences as: poor, sick, or depressed persons, chronic diseases, undermining conditions, suffering, renunciation, asceticism, invisible or secret government, government scandals, capitulating leaders, and/or idealism vs materialism; (appr 36-year cycle).

Next were expansive money and ideology planet Jupiter and progressive, disruptive Uranus, the 'fortunate breakthrough' pair of energies when working harmoniously together. They conjoined three times on: 1. October 7, 1954; 2. January 7, 1955; 3. May 10, 1955 in the 24 to 28 degrees of Cancer--conjunct US natal Mercury Rx and opposite US natal Pluto @27Cap32; this planetary pair indicates potentials for: extreme efforts to produce new or original changes, creation of devices that can transform the world, and/or a sudden change in financial conditions. Adventurers, fortune hunters, explorers, scientists, zealots with one-sided views, and political conflicts are also suggested by Jupiter-Uranus; (appr 14-year cycle).

Moneybags Jupiter conjoined wealthy power planet Pluto three times during the 1950s: 1. November 2, 1955; 2. February 8, 1956; 3. June 16, 1956 in the 26 to 29 degree range of Leo--conjunct the Mars and Ascendant of a then-young fellow by the name of *Donald Trump. Jupiter-Pluto is one of the Plutocrat pairs of energies with a craving for power; organizers of large-scale projects, professors and teachers of law and economics are described by Jupiter-Pluto along with speculators, squanderers, and wastrels. Pursuit of fanatical aims, religious leadership, and a desire to exploit the masses can also be constellated by Jupiter-Pluto; (appr 13-year cycle)

And last but not least in the 1950s decade is the one Great Conjunction of giants Jupiter and Neptune, the pair under which the Obama administration has operated since their last conjunction/s of 2009--conjunct US natal Moon in Aquarius. On September 24, 1958, the inflationary pair met @3Sco18, the current degree of America's progressed Saturn (Rx since 1996). Yes, reality is often elusive under a Jupiter-Neptune influence with its potentials for: dreaminess, seduction, idealism when reality is needed, mysticism, speculation, gain without effort, self-created scandals, political conflicts, idolatry (exs: 'rock star' Barack a la 2009 and the bloated, confusing, over promising ACA), a degraded legal system based on favors and pay-offs, hypocrisy as a form of internal policy, elaborate visions of how to effect a change of direction, making excuses for failures, and/or compassion and a love of humanity; (appr 13-year cycle).

Of course, there were other transits and progressions during the 1950s (and eclipses) which also influenced the events on the list, above, but these are the major Outer Planet Conjunctions of the decade. And it isn't long before year 2020 opens with the January 12th hook-up of one Saturn-Pluto conjunction (ouch!) @22Cap46, then it's on to April 2020 when the three Jupiter-Pluto conjunctions in Capricorn begin. The weighty year ends with the 20-year encounter between societal planets Jupiter and Saturn @00AQ29--conjunct US Inaugural Sun (POTUS).

What this karmic conjunction suggests for the US presidency must be a post for another day--especially since now we must be patient and observe what Mr. Trump does with the power and advantages of the Oval Office during his tenure in the White House--if there's anything left for Jupiter and Saturn to conjunct in 2020.

*Jupiter-Pluto conjunct Mr. Trump's natal Mars may have inspired within him a deep desire to achieve great things which, as it turned out, supports an uncommonly massive ego.
