117th Congress scheduled to open January 3, 2021

Speculative Astro-Notes Concerning the 117th Congress of 2021

September 8, 2020: If all goes according to plan, the 117th Congress will open on January 3, 2021, and unless Election 2020 in November results in leadership changes, Mike Pence will continue as President of the Congress.

Now I won't write much about the speculative January 3, 2021 chart set for Capitol Hill Washington DC and "noon EST" (in lieu of an announced hour - even the date could change), but below are a few general observations concerning the day's planets, plus, here's a view of the horoscope of the 117th Congress' Prenatal Solar Eclipse ('PE') for which we do not need a correct opening hour in order to ascertain the opening's 'PE' for as long as the 117th Congress opens in January 2021, its 4 South PE remains the case with a 'fated' theme intact - plus, it's also the PE of Inauguration 2021:

117th Congress: January 3, 2021 noon est Capitol Hill shows 19Aries04 rising, the exaltation of the Sun degree. Naturally, the Sun (leadership) @13Cap32 conjuncts the noon Midheaven ('MC') while opposing US natal Sun (July 4, 1776) suggesting a period when government goals and objectives should be reassessed and, if necessary, a change of direction may be taken. This is due to the fact that annually, January 3rd (or 4th) is the Executive Branch's "un-birthday." So with Mars-ruled Aries rising, Mars is chart-ruler (@28Ari32 and rising in 1st house) and makes three applying Ptolemaic aspects in the chart: 1. square Saturn (@1AQ56 in career 10th house conjunct bold Altair the eagle) causing difficulties, delays, stalling, lack of preparation or planning, frustration, challenges to authority, and with a potential for anger; 2. square Jupiter (@3AQ24 in 10th house) suggesting overreach, exaggeration, risk-taking, empty gestures, and/or sloppiness with details; 3. conjunct Uranus Rx (@6Tau46 in 1st house) which indicates unusual or nontraditional actions and circumstances along with an explosive and/or shocking quality. First house denotes early expression of these restless energies with society's current anarchistic, protesting, even rioting activities also indicated--for discussion or possibly legislation in Congress, if not actual physical expression. Unexpected events may occur!

The Mars-Uranus Conjunction becomes exact on January 20, 2021 @6Tau44 and rises in the Inauguration 2021 Horoscope, as you know. And obviously whenever Mars and Uranus combine their highly charged energies, violent measures may be taken, risky or dangerous behavior can complicate issues and bring unfortunate consequences, and/or accidents may occur. For more dangerous indications, add to this the fact that the transiting Uranus-Pluto midpoint not only opposes their Great Conjunction degrees of 1965/66 (mid-Pisces) and stimulating street clashes, Civil Rights demands, and upheaval as before, but Uranus-Pluto also conjuncts the destructive January 3, 2021 Mars-Saturn midpoint (aka, the 'death axis'--Ebertin). "Not a pretty picture" hardly describes the mundane possibilities of this pile-up especially considering the vicious form of politics and vengeance being practiced.

So however the Inauguration 2021 ceremony goes, We The People can expect the unexpected with a desperate Uranian chaos-creator Trump involved and what for him will be a major test of nerves and strength.

Closely Related is the First Lunation of 2021 - a New Moon @23Cap13 of January 13th which falls in the middle of the 117th Congress' Mercury-Pluto Conjunction (22-25Cap), and as we know, is within the overly stimulated "Capricorn corridor", super-sensitized ever since January 12, 2020 when karmic Saturn and Pluto conjoined @22Cap46 - conjunct Trump's natal Vertex (22:51) of fated encounters. (Actually, January 3 2021 is almost a Mercury Return to the Saturn-Pluto Conjunction Horoscope's Mercury - exact January 4th at 4:07 am est with an exact Moon-Neptune opposition hinting at scandals, illusions, and a deceptive environment); meanwhile, Venu$ @23Cap48 activates the Capricorn New Moon linked, above! So apparently, new activities are being seeded and planned in the realms of Mercury-Pluto and finances, and at some point we'll be able to blame or credit the 117th Congress for the consequences.

Now several potentials are indicated for the combination of Mercury and Pluto such as 'political talk that offers abrupt changes to some functions; high security and intelligence activities; communications satellites; news of space exploration, orbital weapons, or toxic gases'.

Other possibilities include: 'secrets involving business or transportation systems; hidden activities; self-destructive impulses in business; and/or breakdowns in road networks (and one wonders: in cyber networks? hacks and leaks? grid or voting machine attacks?). 'Paranoia about secrets', plus, 'ruthless investigations' are also suggested (Munkasey) along with 'propaganda, persuasion, the power of suggestion, overzealousness, sly cunning, sharp criticism, a famous orator, plagiarism, demagoguery, fraudsters, and/or diplomacy (Ebertin). I'll add, malicious scheming, plus, the fact that Mercury is out-of-bounds ('OOBs') so there's no telling what he or she is up to - or what outrageous things may be said, reported, or what may be stolen. Then as always, running in the background is America's natal Mercury-Pluto opposition of total awareness, surveillance/spying, confidential information, mind control, censorship and publishing which affects all such matters in a challenging way. But all results must depend upon which political party comes out victorious in House, Senate, and White House, and that's a secret even the Universe is keeping close to her vest.

On the Origin of The Covid Eclipse

Traumatic Transformation and The 'Covid Eclipse'

September 4, 2020: While checking out the upcoming virtual ISAR conference on the Great Conjunction/Mutation of Jupiter and Saturn, plus, an astrologer-studded discussion of Election 2020 and the candidates, Reimagining the Future, I ran across the dates that societal planets Jupiter and Saturn were previously in Air signs: between 1186 and 1226. As you know, their December 21, 2020 Conjunction is in Air sign Aquarius rather than Earthy Taurus as on May 28 2000.

This caused me to wonder if I could locate a Solar Eclipse Saros Series that began (its initial eclipse) within that time frame and it turns out that the 3 South Saros Series began on August 13, 1208 with a Solar Eclipse @27Leo10:35 (conjunct Trump's natal Mars and Ascendant with 10:54 am edt as his accurate birth time, June 14, 1946).

Below you see the Horoscope of the initial 3 South Solar Eclipse of August 13, 1208 which I've set for Washington DC. Obviously, the Masonic federal city only existed in 1208 as a spot upon the Earth but setting the horoscope for DC creates in space (for me, if not for you) a cosmic time link of sorts as do solar eclipse cycles with their rhyming, if not repeating, themes. In 1208, this was a partial solar eclipse but its accompanying Lunar Eclipse was Total and perfected on July 28, 1208 @12AQ27 conjunct the August Solar Eclipse's North Node. (Note that the Lunar Eclipse chart is not shown but is listed on the chart, 7th house, highlighted in red.) For karmic progress to be made, a solar eclipse in royal Leo cautions against the negative traits of the solar-ruled sign such as egocentricity, pride, arrogance, conceit, pomposity, ostentatiousness, glory-seeking, and using a half-hearted approach when a full effort is called for. With Leo, the parent-child relationship is also a prominent consideration and must be kept aboveboard with each generation - child abuse and/or exploitation retard karmic progress (R. Lineman).

So why connect the 3 South Saros Series with Covid-19?

Because the deadly virus gained steam in later 2019 into early 2020 in tandem with a 3 South Solar Eclipse which repeated on December 26, 2019 @4Cap06 and which contains appropriate themes (see below). Plus, 3 South's initial eclipse of the series indicates that for more information, a solar Leo lens should be used to view the 2019 Capricorn Eclipse ('Sun-Saturn' vibes: 'lack of vitality; sick people' - Ebertin) and with themes of authority and authority figures, responsibility, accountability, control, finances, investment, lack, restriction, limitation, and other Saturn-Capricorn potentials which guided society into the New Year of 2020. (You see the 2019 3 South Solar Eclipse penned on the horoscope conjunct the 6th cusp of Health, Work, Service, and Daily Routines when the chart is set for Washington DC as representative of America.) In addition, Covid negatively affects the heart and Leo is the sign of the heart so there's a hidden link to the 1208 initial eclipse right there.

Yet it's also Capricorn's avaricious tendencies now being negatively expressed in the world as most folks might agree and viewing the 2019 Capricorn eclipse through the lens of 3 South's initial eclipse's sign (Leo) and house (2nd) adds information that would remain hidden (unconscious) otherwise.

And with a generations-long flurry of synchronicity, the Goal-oriented Midheaven ('MC' @4Cap34) of 3 South's accompanying Lunar Eclipse Horoscope (when set for DC) of July 28, 1208 (9:24:45 LMT) @12AQ27, sports upon it the 3 South Solar Eclipse of December 26, 2019 - what I call 'The Covid Eclipse'. We should note that when the sequential lunar eclipse occurs before its solar eclipse 'mate' (bwo sign polarity--here, Leo-AQ, the self-will axis) the waning cycle of the Moon is indicated denoting a period of decline, passivity (and things going bump in the night!), plus, genetic or inherited tendencies and negative habits are emphasized. And in this case (1208 vs 2019), the egocentricity and vanity of Leo should compliment or be mitigated by the humanitarianism of Aquarius - and with Covid-19 and other negative social conditions we see efforts being taken toward such an eventuality.

And yet, can you feel how greed and Leonine self-interest are interfering with progress and societal improvements? To me it seems that Trump vs Biden 2020 is a direct expression of our Leo-AQ condition with one candidate capable of speaking to and of humankind with compassion and a respect for Science (AQ), while the other is a stranger to any idea or activity that doesn't directly benefit him and add to his hidden bank accounts.

3 South Themes

So! Our country and the world entered 2020 with 3 South themes once again running in the background of society: 'traumatic transformation; deep emotions (with saboteur Pluto involved); sudden endings of relationships, possibly with a younger person (paraphrasing Brady's Predictive Astrology). Society has definitely been transformed - but into what we don't yet know. For clues we can search historical events of 1208 but there aren't very many except for the typical murders, fires, and some papacy action (Jupiter-Pluto!) if you care to look.

Meanwhile, there are two culprits returning in 2020 to the scene of the 1208 'crime': Jupiter and Pluto. For as you know, the two 'big money' planets (of the Fed, corporate bankers, hidden wealth, underworld financiers, the Vatican Bank) have met and will meet in Great Conjunction three times through 2020: 1. April 5th @24Cap53; 2. June 30th @24Cap06; and 3. November 12th @22Cap52, with the third conjunction activating Trump's natal Vertex of fated encounters, possible job change, and/or wish fulfillment (22Cap51). If his nibs longs for a new job I hope his wish comes true!

So in the initial eclipse chart, Plutocracy's Jupiter-Pluto duo of 1208 have a starring role as they rise together in 1st house with plans to exploit and plunder all they can through each generation (conjunct the karmic South Node suggesting inherited wealth and bad blood). And if we look to 1208 Pluto's sign and degree it seems significant to me that 1208 Pluto = Donald Trump's natal 12th house Pluto which always brings along his cruelest natal midpoint picture, Mars-Saturn = Pluto: 'death of many people; brutality; destruction; intervention of a higher power' (Ebertin).

Now as you see, the key planet in the eclipse chart is Mercury Rx @26Leo58 conjunct Trump's natal Mars with the pair typically suggesting potentials for political activities, strong opinions and debates, crankiness, criticism, and involvement in lawsuits and controversies. Or I should say that Trump's birth in 1946 timed a Mars-to-Mercury transit for the 1208 eclipse. Either way, the planetary contact time links the eclipse to his nibs and suggests verbal combat particularly since he's a globally known figure who is intimately involved with America's dire Covid-19 conditions and, whether he admits it or not, is responsible for (mis) managing the Neptunian pandemic. And as you see, contagious Neptune leads the tilt of a BOWL shape in 1208 with the unoccupied section of the horoscope representing challenges to existence. Among other factors, this points to the December 2019 3 South Solar Eclipse in Saturn-ruled Capricorn and encapsulates its themes of traumatic transformation and endings of relationships along with karmic Saturn's government, law, and business involvement, plus, issues of limitation, restriction, and working in isolation. Yes, certain companies and share holders (including politicians) are gaining huge profits from the virus as I'm sure you've heard. Sept 2020 Pisces Full Moon Echoes the 2016 Eclipse

September 2, 2020 Pisces Full Moon A Cosmic Echo of Campaign 2016 Eclipse

The just culminated September 2, 2020 Full Moon @10Pis12 (1:22 am edt) has inspired this belated post, soggy with Piscean Neptunian vibes, and noting that the current Full Moon is by degree a culmination of the 2016 19 North Solar Eclipse, a New Moon.

That my natal Moon is in Pisces is of no consequence for we're talking politics, that "organized system of hatreds." Add the fact that the more potent Full Moons often act as Lunar Eclipses, revealing secrets and leaking inconvenient facts, with New Moons doing much the same as Solar Eclipses - and all acting as disruptive Uranian cosmic blinks and wild cards of the Universe.

In consideration of all this, we, dear reader, have issues to discuss.

To begin, here's an updated post from 2018 showing the 19 North Solar Eclipse of September 1, 2016 which heralded The Prevaricator, the deadbeat playboy who subsequently insinuated himself into the White House with lots of help from both domestic and foreign enablers, aka, saboteurs. Opposing the 2016 Eclipse was transit Neptune @10Pisces, planet of deception, fraud, propaganda, the media, gaslighting, and other subversive activities. Perhaps you agree that America's political scene has tended to be chocked full of Neptunian concerns - now including contagion - since Day One but Trump and his conspiracy party, formerly known as the Republican Party, upped the anti on corruption, deceit, disguises, impractical campaign promises, and grand schemes. For a majority of people it's no surprise that disappointment and distrust soon followed.

Thing is, solar eclipses in the 19 North Saros Series always call for realism and tackling the truth but with nebulous Neptune opposing its themes, the 2016 Eclipse didn't stand a chance with bad faith actors willing to take advantage of the situation by confusing issues and denying any truth that was inconvenient for their power-grabbing purposes. A massive disinformation campaign was waged against the American voter. And it worked with abundant help from the media, mainstream and alternative.

Included in the long-range plan of sabotage now so obviously being implemented was the Neptunian hollowing out of the US government, its systems, offices, and institutions, bwo their long-held goal of decreasing our government's size until it could be "drowned in a bathtub" (as Grover Norquist so poetically phrased it once upon a time--check out his Neptune-infused natal chart and two linked articles therein that use words of Neptune: eerie influence and banishment!). And of course, that's a bath tub filled with Neptunian water. Disguised or not, wearing masks or not, the 'Neptune-in-Pisces political party' is obviously the Republican Party, formed in 1854, the last period when Neptune was traversing Pisces. The party's recent Neptune Return/s (during the 'Trump era') have been previously discussed multiple times here on SO'W and you'll note that the timing is quite suggestive since the 1854 era is the period the Republican Party would like our nation to regress to - and it's no coincidence that Campaign 2020 is again a Neptunian affair full of scandals, corruption, Trump's cries of "hoax" and "fake media", fraud, conspiracies, and constant challenges to the truth.

Yet despite it all, current problems and conditions of failure and loss in the US and in the world cannot be laid only upon Trump's or the Republicans' doorsteps because there are larger forces and cycles of a subversive nature at work. These are, however, beyond the scope of this meager post other than to add a link to a recent effort which partially involves the 'big picture' as social tinkerers and meddlers ready to meet at Davos concerning their global "reset agenda" - rescheduled from January 2021 to
Summer 2021.

And this expectably draconian economic reset agenda is most likely the main reason for the global pandemic that has been used as a weapon to sabotage the world, weaken the 'old order', depopulate and 'purify' the masses, and establish a 'new world order' to replace the post-WWII Bretton Woods Treaty while also superseding America's 'New Order of 1776' (now grown stale for the elite class of bossy one-percenters who let no crisis go to waste).

Significantly, it's an 'order' that will be cosmically timed and supported by the December 21, 2020 Great Conjunction of Societal Planets Jupiter and Saturn @00Aquarius which lands with cosmic precision upon US POTUS Sun. Here's the midpoint picture that forms...

Jupiter-Saturn = Sun: "Taking destiny into one's own hands; major changes according to plan; or, if nothing has been prepared, becoming gripped by the status quo and having to make the best of things." (Tyl).

Now as you know, where POTUS goes so goes America. And my suspicious nature asserts that the status quo is what's under assault - and yes, something has definitely been planned. Yet hope for the best springs eternal and their plan's ultimate success or failure remains to be seen, with perhaps some mixture of both. So until the world is let in on what's to become of us all, I hope you stay safe, well, and defiant against undermining forces, dear reader!

September-November 2020: Mars in Aries to and fro

Two DC Horoscopes September and November 2020: Trolling the Path of Mars

Lower left: September 9, 2020 Mars Direct Station @28Ari08 2nd house 6:22:12 pm edt Washington DC; Hour of Mars which squares 12th house Saturn (delays; resistance; stop'n'go energy); ASC 24AQ38 (US natal Moon rising) conjunct Uranus-MC suggests excitability, irritability, possible upsets; Uranus unaspected = spurts of activity; warlike Antares conjunct MC; at IC are Moon @12Gemini and Midas (fluctuating campaign finances?); Neptune and Pisces intercepted in 1st house suggests large events possibly water related and/or contagion/toxins; also, the media, the masses, deception, loss, theft, disappointment, conspiracy; voting planet Mercury 6Lib27 in 8th house and nearing Nemesis (the unbeatable foe).

Chart-ruler Saturn makes one applying Ptolemaic aspect, a conjunction with powerful manipulator Pluto (see lower left) which is, of course, a continuation of their conjunction's harsh, constraining energies of January 2020, and of course the Capricorn trio continues its heavy influence. Meanwhile, the revolutionary pair of Mars and Uranus will blend their energies on Election Day November 3, 2020 @6Tau44 with a disturbing potential for conflicts and destruction.

On Election Day 2020, Mars Rx 16Ari01 is opposing US natal Saturn (14lib48) off and on which denotes a period of potentials such as: attempts to circumvent rules and/or laws, anger flare ups, delays that lead to cancellations, organizational difficulties, resentment, and/or resistance to the authority of others. Obviously with Trump involved, court cases and legal decisions may be involved as well as ballot counting issues.

Upper right: November 13, 2020 Mars Rx Station @15Ari13 10th house 7:35:36 pm est Washington DC; Hour of Venus 20Lib42 5th house but leading a ruthless Locomotive shape into 4th house (condition of Venus in Libra relates to 2020 Election results: incumbent wins unless something miraculous occurs - ex: Blue Tsunami).

Both of Mars' changes of direction fall within the 4 North Summer Solstice Solar Eclipse Saros Series (restraint, restriction, separation, illusion) and as you see, the November 13th chart has US natal Jupiter rising just after the 4 North Solar Eclipse pops up over the horizon. And when Mars shifts to direct motion on November 13, 2020 'he' opposes Venus (ruthless as a Locomotive engine) which, among other things, suggests sore losers. However, by November 22nd, transit Venus will scoot on into Scorpio, leaving Mars to continue simmering in fiery Aries until early January 2021.

And with Cancer rising on November 13th, Moon is chart-ruler indicating emotions vs intellect, excitement, and potential conditions of instability, as seen in the Scorpio Moon's applying opposition to quirky Uranus Rx in money sign Taurus where finances tend to be uncertain and/or fluctuating and unusual sources of revenue are sought.

October 2020:Of course, more information (aka, inconvenient facts or secrets) are sure to be revealed by the light of the Halloween 2020 Full Moon @8Tau38 which casts its illuminating rays upon disruptive Uranus - the Witness and the Awakener!

Wild Cards of the Universe, Uranian Eclipses Disrupt Earthly Events

So will it be shock, awe, or a little of both when Uranus stars in a cosmic spotlight once again and closes the month of November 2020 with a Lunar Eclipse 8Gem38 conjunct US natal Uranus and simultaneously activates Trump's Prenatal Solar Eclipse in the 2 Old North Saros Series (8Gem48: 'unfortunate news; separation; but fast action can bring good results' - Brady).

August 30, 2020 Current Conditions: Saturn-Neptune

An Unsealed Letter Within An Unsealed Letter

Since Stars Over Washington is basically an unsealed letter, and because current conditions in the US are dire, I've decided to copy/paste this morning's reply to a thoughtful reader's comments which were posted in October 2019, pre-Covid. In part my reply concerns which US Horoscope to use and why I must continue to use the US chart with Saturn-Neptune at Midheaven. However, please know that the following words are not for the faint of heart nor for the overly fretful or sensitive so please Do Not Read if this describes you, dear reader:

August 30, 2020, I'm just now replying, and we're embroiled in the covid pandemic, as you know zeebling. Depopulation and 'purification' of humanity are well underway and the 'reset economic agenda' is being implemented (with most of us out of the way). Meanwhile the Davos Forum has been rescheduled from January 2021 to Summer 2021 - allegedly due to covid concerns - and this places the 'reset' Forum under the prophetic 5 North Solar eclipse of 2021 rather than the difficult 4 South of December 2020. And as you say, the Inauguration 2021 Horoscope is aggressive and destructive with the Mars-Uranus conjunction rising. Riots and upheavals in US streets show the success of social tinkering efforts to ignite a race war and with a religious war simmering on the back burner. All that I'd fretted over these last several years of SO'W fusses is appearing in front of our eyes.

Meanwhile, I've gone back and forth over which US Horoscope to use but considering current events, I'm sticking with the July 4, 1776 5:09 pm LMT Philadelphia chart with its Saturn-Neptune = MC (00Libra) for the planetary pair's potentials for 'illness, suffering, renunciation, distrust, sacrifice, methodical execution of plans, tormenting emotional inhibitions, neuroses or diseases with causes difficult to ascertain' plus 'socialism' and other -isms since most now seem to apply. Oh and there's 10th house Saturn's well known "fall from grace" potential if Saturnian demands have not been answered. As they have not. DC and the Pentagon had their chance at global leadership and imho botched it badly. And as usual it's 'the little guy and gal' who must pay. And all this with our US Pluto Return/s almost exact. I continue to see 1776 Pluto as foreign involvement and of course we know which entities this describes in our era.

Yes, it's a dreary picture of course (playing out now!) but as a Saturnian astrologer I've said before - and realistic people know - that we must face our monsters to have any hope of vanquishing them. And with US Mars Rx by progression since 2006, its energies turned inward, it's going to be a long battle.

First Lunation of 2021: a Capricorn New Moon

August 28, 2020: As you've noticed by now, the first lunation which imprints upon Year 2021 is a New Moon in Capricorn on January 13, 2021 (23Cap13, 4th house), a time for seeding new plans. Of course, Saturn-ruled Capricorn is the sign of government, law, business, investment, strategy, and ambition so these realms are involved. This New Moon's fulfillment/culmination phase is the Full Moon @9Leo06 on January 28, 2021, perhaps a less dreary affair. And as you know, a significant political-governmental event, Inauguration 2021, falls within the two lunations which naturally ups the lunations' importance to society and imprints their soli-lunar energies, not just on the year, but on the entire four years of a new or a rebooted administration.

So here is the Capricorn New Moon's DC Horoscope and you'll find a few notes on this chart's midpoint pix (pictures) listed, below:

Lots of chart factors and notes are schmooshed upon the chart in my usual messy fashion and are intended for the daring. One of the factors penned on is "23 Capricorn": "a degree of governmental authority" (N. DeVore).

The other night - Friday night, probably - I was sitting back with ye olde laptop in me lap as I digested a bit more of the bits and pieces I’d been chewing on, that came from the Democratic Party online shindig for anointing POTUS and VPOTUS candidates. It’s been quite the buzz, even in my perennially independent-minded head. Sure, I’ve leaned that direction all my adult life and never did vote for any R candidate that came along: their so-called conservatism never seemed to line up at all with my brand of such.

So, the news of the choice for VPOTUS was, frankly, exciting — somewhat, for a while. After all, the sorts of economic, cultural and political changes that even the near future would seem to hold were not about to pass her lips, masked or not — nor those of her running mate.

Yet from an astrological perspective, the charts of both candidates provide plenty of fodder for fascinating and perhaps illuminating study.

In the case of Mr. Biden, all that Scorpio energy — Mars, Mercury, Sun and Venus, in that order — in the twelfth house would mark him from birth with a path involving much struggle and suffering, and, maybe, inner work. So it would seem. As one with a diurnal chart (Sun in watery Scorpio above the horizon), his first personal cycle of Saturn would be under the general dominion of Venus. However, Venus also being above the horizon as well as “in exile” in Scorpio, she would not be adorning a path toward being a small-p party animal.

Life was evidently not much easier for Mr. B through his second Saturn cycle (until 2001), under Mars’ dominion. More strength and determination were called for, though he was still essentially trapped within labyrinthine institutions.

Now, though, his life is under the general sway of Luna: quite happy (under the overall circumstances) in the steady and huggy sign of Taurus. Ms. Harris could not be in much better astrological condition, conferring popularity and success as long as Mr. B. plays a caretaker role (natal Luna in the service-demanding sixth house).

There are some quite interesting connections in progressions and directions to his natal chart (of course). I will merely say this: The astrological confirmation of the appropriateness of, and the larger societal readiness for, teaming with a woman with roots in atypical cultures comes through most emphatically. The exact natal opposition between Juno in the first house and Saturn in the seventh, along with the seventh-house profection year (age seventy-eight) to begin in November, shout it out. This is a classic depiction of a need for a truly collaborative partner at this time. And the foreign-ness of Juno in Sagittarius is, well — astrologers couldn’t make up something more symbolically spot-on.

It looks like Biden — or, more likely, the hidden councils of his Party — has chosen well.

What I find most intriguing about Ms. H’s natal chart is the exact full moon, somewhat similar to that of the Agent Orange of the Oval Office.

His was a special full moon: a lunar eclipse, with all the spookiness implied and noticed whenever it recurs (at least twice a year). Hers was just a regular full moon.
Hers, like his, was an Air sun / Fire moon combination: cardinal signs, denoting initiative and new directions. His, with the individualistic and defiant element of Uranus thrown in, emphasized reaction, chaos and rendering asunder.

Evidently, Ms. Harris' role is to be one of the chief architects of a newly constituted polity arising from the ashes of the nation’s Pluto return and the depredations of Trumpism. There is apt to be, in her imprint on events and developments, a definite back-and-forth between instinctive, pointed response and action and, on the other hand, patterns of rational consideration to the point of vacillation: Luna in Aries, Sol in Libra.

What probably among most astrologers appears as the most significant portion in the synastry is the superimposition of Ms. Harris’ grand cross in the fixed signs upon Mr. Biden’s chart, linking with his Scorpio cluster and Chiron in Leo. The latter is his “wounded leader” placement, activated by the Great American Eclipse three years ago, nearly to the day. (I wonder what he was doing that day, and where he was?)

For Ms. Harris, the grand cross represents the inheritance of a great burden, just as she enters into her third personal Saturn cycle, under the dominion of Saturn. That placement for her links closely with his Chiron placement. Fortunately for her, and even more so for the citizenry, natal Saturn is in a dignified condition in Aquarius. This indicates that she would undertake great responsibility in this phase of her life, and that it would involve carefully balancing the needs and demands of disparate social or political groups.

As fate would have it, she might have been thrust into the role of headwoman of some tribe struggling to survive the onslaught of Jair Bolsonaro’s destroyers of the last of the delicate rainforests in the Brazilian hinterlands, or mayor of some hamlet on the Great Plains which lately lost its leader in the Great Derecho of 2020. Instead, she’s stepping into line to become the first female president of a faltering republic and shrinking empire which once styled itself champion of the “free world.” What will even be the shape of the presidency in this next era? That’s another and much larger question, with no attempt at an answer here.

Biden and Harris are holding out the carrot of a return, somehow, sometime, to something that might pass for “normalcy.” But it ain’t gonna happen. The largesse both are talking about are represented by Biden’s natal Jupiter, exalted in caring (when it’s not involved in accumulating) Cancer, in a close sextile (sixty-degree) relationship with Harris’ Jupiter in easy-going, got-plenty Taurus. Actually, the latter — in the context of her grand cross — represents the stemming of the bulk of the big-money projects they propose.

The overall national and international economies are on a cliff-edge, teetering near their tipping points.

The resources increasingly devoted to disaster-recovery take away big chunks from whatever Green New Deal ideas come forward. Those will have to depend on regional and local resources, even as their economies are broken.

Yet a great many localized enterprises, like a thousand points of light, can increase a sense of focus and purpose, within the potential for a measure of continuity. (The pervasive and persistent disruptions on a vast scale, symbolized in 2021 by Jupiter and Saturn in square to Uranus, guarantee an era of even-greater difficulties.)

Ms. Harris, whenever and to what degree she assumes prominent responsibility, will have to carry that cross. There will be many false starts and dead ends in cultivating the next stage, yet evidence shows that good-faith effort and due diligence will be among the new norms.

And those ain’t small matters.

For both Ms. Harris and the Agent, December marks the month of climactic shifts in circumstances. On 14 December — a week before the Great Solstice with the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction — a total solar eclipse falls on the natally-eclipsed Luna in the Agent’s chart, and on the western horizon of Harris’ natal chart. Translation: likely precipitous descent into total madness for the former, and full-scale partnership mode for the latter.

May our better angels prevail.

October Surprise 2020: a Reichstag Fire event?

In the wake of the Weimar Republic, austerity measures were implemented in Germany which aided the rise to power of Adolf Hitler and the Nazis with their deformed spirits. For details, see fiscal austerity and the rise of the Nazis.

In a previous post (2017) I published the Reichstag Fire Horoscope but erroneously set it for London, UK (not that that's a bad thing it just isn't what I'd intended to do). Today, for future reference, I'm publishing the event's horoscope set for Berlin, Germany (below). Because if a desperate, mean-as-a-snake Trump pulls an October Surprise in an attempt to pervert or prevent Election 2020, you know that a new horoscope set for the location of the Trumpian event would then be necessary. Even so, the 1933 chart could be useful for an astrologer or two.

Now hopefully, the Reichstag Fire 'false flag op' won't turn out to be the original event that Trump copies in some vicious, destructive way in order to force his will upon the American people. Yet we know that his nibs holds grudges and he does like to retaliate. But since his maliciously scheming mind (natal Mercury-Neptune square) is constantly occupied with taking revenge on others, he can most likely think of several possible actions to take that don't involve setting a fire - if he should hear, You're Fired!

As for the Reichstag Fire of 1933, here's an excerpt from a previous post concerning this topic:

"Three days after the Fascism Rising Solar Eclipse occurred, Hitler and his co-conspirators burned down the Reichstag Building of Parliament to give cover to his rise to power; eight days later, FDR was sworn in as US President for the first of his three full terms, the 4th term being uncompleted, 1933 to 1945."

Of course, there are contrasts as well as comparisons between conditions, events, and people of 1933 and those of 2020, but the primary theme of 'rising to power no matter the cost' (which falls within life's fallacious 'ends justify the means' category) applies to both power-craving, emotionally stunted despots. (And to FDR, too, depending on your p.o.v; Hoover was supposed to win according to the Venus Cycle!) Thing is, 'the cost' of their overbearing actions most often falls upon someone besides the perpetrators, yes? Plus, Trump has even more to obsess over for if he loses the 2020 Election, criminal indictments could very well be in Bunker Boy's future.

Well, now that I think of it, Adolf was something of a bunker boy, too, wasn't he?

Davos World Economic Forum moves to Summer 2021

August 26, 2020: Citing Covid-19 concerns and the amount of global travel involved, it is reported that the date for World Economic Forum 2021 at Davos has been moved from January 2021 to Summer 2021. This effectively removes the Forum's Reset Agenda from underneath the influence of the difficult December 14, 2020 4 South Solar Eclipse to the more amenable 5 North Solar Eclipse of June 10, 2021 - as long as the Forum's yet-to-be-announced opening occurs within two weeks prior to June 10th (and of course, thereafter).

Therefore, if the Forum opens during the final week of May 2021, 5 North influences will be in play with themes of 'visions, prophetic dreams, and insights which can be acted upon' (Brady), solar-lunar energies which can be used positively or negatively. With this solar eclipse, Mercurial Geminian favors (trade, commerce, arriving at a crossroads) will be evident. And naturally, such a rescheduling of approximately 6 months makes my previous post concerning the 2021 World Economic Forum at least partially moot. However, the post does link to an article about the group's 2021 economic 'Reset Agenda' and displays the DC Horoscope of the final of three Jupiter-Pluto Conjunctions which perfects on November 12, 2020. Now as you know, the Jupiter-Pluto pair relates closely to financial matters, corporations and Big Bankers such as the Houses of Rothchild and Morgan, plus, the Federal Reserve Banking System, speculation, huge projects, and Plutocracy.

Whether the tyranny of plutocracy will be one of the Forum's topics of discussion or be part of their 'reset agenda' goals to be furthered in the world must remain to be seen. For now it appears that fear of Covid-19 has them and their big-picture plans on the run.

Visions of 2021: Who Can Identify the Antichrist?

August 25, 2020: Less than a week ago a post appeared here asking, Dear Astrology: Is Donald Trump "the chosen one"? noting that natal Sun-Neptune squares can identify a grand self-image of being "a vessel". Yet upon further reflection, I believe things are much more serious and complex than astrological aspects can fully reveal.

Yes, I would dearly love it if end times weren't crowding in upon us - upon my family, too - but as I've posted before, it's late days. Many signs appear on Earth and in the heavens (As Above So Below!) and although Stars Over Washington may not seem the best place for such topics, and I take the risk of offending the overly sensitive reader, I'm sharing here two links to the same subject matter, one in video form and one text, presented by Rev. Dr. Benjamin I. Corey. Why, these days even secular sources are saying that America is under an "existential threat" so take the content or leave it as you wish, dear reader. However, my advice for you is to take it and at least consider its timely message.

Between the Summer Solstice 2020 Solar Eclipse in the 4 North Saros Series and the Total December 14, 2020 Solar Eclipse in the difficult 4 South Saros Series comes a significant Lunar Eclipse @8Gem38 across the 2/8 axi$ when the horoscope is set for Washington DC.

Below is the DC Horoscope of the November 30, 2020 Lunar Eclipse @8Gem38 which conjuncts US natal Uranus (8Gem55 July 4, 1776). So although this Gemini Lunar Eclipse falls within the 4 North Solar Eclipse Saros Series of June, it's actually associated with the Sagittarius Solar Eclipse of December 14, 2020 in the 4 South Series with its 'money and relationship' concerns. An accompanying lunar eclipse reveals a sequence - here across the Gemini-Sagittarius polarity - relating to the karmic issues within its solar eclipse themes and provides information concerning the Collective's inner and/or emotional reactions to the disruptive karmic issues and problems. Here we have a Gemini Lunar Eclipse suggesting that a variety (Gemini) of solutions should be tried prior to and during the December 14th Solar Eclipse season in the Jupiterian realms of the eclipse's Sagittarian issues of ethics and morals, as noted in the center of the horoscope; a large splash of integrity would be appreciated, too:

But basically, this revealing Horoscope of the Gemini Lunar Eclipse contains a preponderance of financial indicators along with 'social and religious fanaticism' vibes via the Capricorn trio (Saturn-Pluto = Jupiter). Add to this that Mercurial Gemini is the juggler, magician, and the trader (or, traitor), isn't he/she? Well, as you see, Mercury @27Sco48 rises in 1st house, disposits the eclipse Moon, and rules the corporate 8th house and the 11th house of Groups and Associations, Hopes and Wishes.

Other chart factors include 'values and currency' planet Venus rising in the Big Business sign of intense, brooding Scorpio and leading a Locomotive shape. A 'ruthless executive determined on success' is indicated by astrological Venus, the engine who, as an actor in our cosmic drama, can be vengeful, envious, and petty, or, more positively can signify some variety of diplomacy. Perhaps you've heard a few economic pundits warning about the potential for devaluation of the US dollar so we'll see if matters continue to skew in that downward direction. Others have hinted that Trump might crash the US economy if he loses in November. This could be what this eclipse shows especially since his PE is activated, as noted above, and the Total 4 South Solar Eclipse of December 14 2020 'eclipses' his natal Moon-South Node while opposing natal Sun-North-Node in Gemini, as we've previously discussed. However events turn out for him, Trump's 4/10 Home-Career axis is intimately involved.

Now if you will, check around the outside of the above horoscope and you'll see planetary placements of the Federal Reserve ('the Fed') based on the entity's secret organizational meeting on Jekyll Island, Georgia, timed by the December 1, 1910 New Moon @8Sag49, marked in green (3rd house). With the US economy shaky as Election Day 2020 approaches, will the November Lunar Eclipse uncover leaks and/or Secrets of the Federal Reserve? Or will it simply uncover more facts concerning Trump and Co's fraud and corruption? Note that some Fed planets (in green) are listed simply as '1910' and the Fed's 1910 Mars-Jupiter rising = 2020 Venus which suggests using guile vs force when competing. Plus, bottom right, you see listed the Jupiter-Saturn Conjunction and the third of three Jupiter-Pluto Conjunctions ('the Fed') both of which relate to the financial implications of this eclipse.

Also messily penned around the chart are the Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto of America (July 4, 1776) and of course, the hairy gorilla in the room (3rd house) is transit Saturn @28Cap21 and the taskmaster's continued ruffling of US natal Pluto Rx (27Cap33), a period of power and control issues, conditions too large to easily handle, and a lack of resources. Meanwhile transit Pluto @23Cap15 continues his opposition to Trump's natal Saturn in watery Cancer with Trump's new barricade of a wall built around the White House. Perhaps now his watery Saturn, planet of walls, borders, and fear, feels safe now. But neglecting his responsibilities during this Saturn-Pluto transit garners him little applause or reward so for 'best results' from the 2020 Election, cheating really is the only 'solution' for Trump and the GOP.

And significantly, all the Capricorn action is occurring on and around America's Inauguration Midheaven for all the world to see. Yes, Saturn to MC is a picture of Election 2020 and the assumption of control but the placement can also indicate a 'fall from grace' so we have that going against us.

Now as you see, coming right up is the midpoint between Saturn and Midheaven ('MC') rising on the Ascendant which forms a picture of 'hindered growth, shared anxiety, separation, and/or unfortunate circumstances' for some. However, the Saturn-MC duo can also denote important people! (Ebertin) with the difference depending upon other chart factors, as is always the case.

Now in closing, I want to add a note with cosmic time link implications:

The 4 South Solar Eclipse on December 14, 2020 @23Sagittarius potentially activates by degree the June 13, 1984 Lunar Eclipse @23Sag which was the accompanying Lunar Eclipse of the May 30, 1984 Solar Eclipse @9Gemini - in the 4 North Saros Series (as is the Summer Solstice 2020 Eclipse). To me, if not to you, this amount of reciprocal cosmic energy seems significant given our current conditions of light vs dark, and so, as usual, comparing the cosmic time link between years 1984 (Reagan: 're-elected') and 2020 (Trump: probably bwo cheating) through the 'rhyming' of historical events would most likely be informative for the curious seeker.

RNC 2020 Speaker Line-Up: Quirky or Nice?

Sunday August 23, 2020: This is the fairest way I could think of to title this post and describe the upcoming week's line-up of speakers at the RNC 2020: quirky or nice? Naturally the answer depends on which side of the political spectrum you crouch upon and how strong your interest in what Don Jr, Melania, both Pences (adding their two cents' worth?), Ivanka, and Donald Donald Donald have to say. For even more quirkiness and perhaps a chuckle or a yawn, there may be some odd ducks quacking by such as Kid Rock, the My Pillow Guy, oddball Ted Nugent, plus the 'demon sperm doctor' lady personage. Actually, major popcorn popping may be the activity of the week.

Then on Thursday August 27th, Trump plans to accept his party's nomination, politically a foregone conclusion if there ever was a foregone conclusion especially for those who've heard of what is said to be his nibs' fervent longing for a 'coronation' in January. Expansive, big-headed Jupiterian Trump's royal Regulus rising (with sun god Apollo no less!) tends to give him monarchical ideas for himself but with the caution of Regulus still haunting his vengeful, grudge-holding, petty life, he may not receive the crown he covets with all that revenge and retaliation in his cold heart. Crazy isn't it? To have steaming hot Mars rising in fiery, royal Leo along with royal Regulus conjunct Ascendant and yet your Leonine heart is as cold as ice.

So with the 2020 Presidential Election approaching, let's consider the fact that how successfully a person holds and handles a position of authority has much to do with the condition of her or his natal Saturn. And for additional information on such matters we often turn to Saturn Return horoscopes which are sometimes 'three-fers' due to Saturn's retrograde periods when the cosmic lesson bringer may hit natal degree three times. Here's Trump's current Saturn Return #3 of 3 in case you haven't viewed the chart and the crisis pattern therein with apex Pluto @23Sagittarius, the position of the Total December 14, 2020 Solar Eclipse in the difficult 4 South Saros Series. And with both Saturn and Pluto as planets of karma the 4 South eclipse could be a 'wild card' signal from the Universe that for Donald Trump, his comrades, and yes, for America, it's finally time for Fate to Step In.
