Horoscopes: August 2017's Initial Solar Eclipse Jan 4, 1639

Significant to the study of any solar eclipse horoscope is the initial eclipse that began the particular Saros Series and since the August 21, 2017 Solar Eclipse is of the 1 North Series, I'm posting both the initial eclipse (January 4, 1639 @13Cap48) set for "Washington DC" (although the city was not yet built) and for comparison's sake, the horoscope of The Great American Eclipse of August 21, 2017 which manifests @29Leo:

The LBJ Library website has details on the signing of the 1965 Medicare Amendment to the Social Security Act on July 30, 1965 in Independence, Missouri at the Truman Library. The Amendment also established Medicaid and in January 1966, President Johnson returned to the Truman Library and presented Harry and Bess Truman with the very first Medicare cards. The website includes black and white footage of the events (audio may be partial).

Chart, below: July 30, 1965 'noon' CST Independence, Missouri; Hour of Mars; Bucket handle = Saturn Rx in compassionate Pisces; Mercury strains (29 degr) to join the Virgo line-up of Venus, Moon (1Vir56--16:47), Uranus, and Pluto; Mercury @29Leo conjoins royal Regulus. However, the Rodden Rating of LBJ's natal data is C (accuracy in question) and gives him an Ascendant of 26Leo57, the position of Trump's natal Mars rising and basically the same ASC-DESC (Leo-AQ) and MC-IC (Tau-Sco) as Donald Trump (with LBJ's natal Moon @9Vir52). Obviously, with Leo ascending LBJ's natal chart would be ruled by the Sun in Virgo rather than Mercury in Virgo as my Solar Fire v9 software gives. But however we look at him, that's a bunch of Virgo and July 30, 1965 also shows a bunch of Virgo with the first of three Great Conjunction/s of Uranus and Pluto perfecting on October 9, 1965 @17Vir10 (2. April 4, 1966 @16Vir28; 3. June 30, 1966 @16Vir06).

An operative 'societal' midpoint picture of the day denotes the planet of signings, amendments, bills, speeches, agreements, trading, negotiations and such, Mercury @29Leo58, as apex of the Neptune-North Node midpoint which tends toward quite negative qualities such as: a lack of communal spirit, antisocial behavior and/or exploitation (Ebertin). This would likely be financial and political exploitation, one must assume, since Washington DC and Wall Street thrive on exploitative practices.

Then with 1965 Mercury as apex planet of the Neptune-NN midpoint there were potentials for any, all, or none of: false expectations, unreliability, being let down by occurrences, secret arrangements made with others and/or deceit (Ebertin/Tyl) as President Johnson added to the benefits that FDR's New Deal programs had provided. Now in 2017, Lyndon Johnson's Great Society is again under siege by opponents of the conservative persuasion. Yet many Americans would prefer that Mr. Trump's 'Make America Great Again' slogan and actions uphold LBJ's Great Society programs rather than undermine them against the wishes of the majority.

August 2017: a 'Cosmic Blink' from a Solar Eclipse

Medicare-Medicaid's Mercury @29Leo will be 'eclipsed' by The Great American Eclipse of August 21, 2017 in the 1 North Saros Series, the 'King of Alarm' series now repeating for the first time since its Book of Revelation Fixed Grand Cross manifestation of August 11, 1999 @18Leo. You know the one, The Mother of All Eclipses (One North) which begins a new 18.6-year cycle which will end with the 19 North and 19 South eclipses of 2034 and 2035 (Virgo-Pisces).

Besides, Medicare-Medicaid's Mercury and as previously noted, the August 2017 Total eclipse @29Leo, conjoins the natal Ascendant of Donald Trump and affects his rising Mars as well while activating royal star Regulus @00Virgo, the Zodiacal sign of health and dedicated work (see chart, upper right). Quite a cosmic blink! The primary theme of Regulus has been discussed in previous posts and remains: success if revenge is avoided. All four royal stars contain cautions to be avoided or their gifts will be taken away. One example is the adage pride comes before the fall and the sort of delusion America has suffered from since World War II's victory and the much-touted belief that Washington DC can force the world into America's image.

Plus, as you know, Paul Ryan (R-WI) has dreamed of "slashing Medicaid" since his "kegger days". Best to be cautious about taking revenge, Mr. Speaker, for the law of karma will have you reaping what you sow. And being drunk is no excuse!

So here's a related video of a 2015 interview segment from the Thom Hartmann Program asking Why Do Republicans Want to Destroy Medicare?, an ideological and a financial goal which they often attempt to hide via echo chamber assertions of "saving" our social safety net programs. Because they think the American public is that stupid.

When we relocate The Great American Eclipse of August 21, 2017 to Independence, Missouri we find Medicare-Medicaid's earliest Moon position (1Vir56) at Midheaven (MC; 1Vir21), the Goal Point of the chart, and with 1965 Mercury (and the Total eclipse) there along with LBJ's natal Sun and Mars (2--4 Virgo). An additional factor in play now is the zealotry, one-sided views, and conflicts of the waxing Jupiter-Uranus opposition which times and reveals the ideological divide concerning America's social safety net programs established during FDR's and LBJ's presidencies as Jupiterian expansion and Uranian disruption tussle for control of the money via massive tax breaks for the wealthy if the Republicans and their donors have their way.

Trump Travel Ban Partially Enforced (Jupiter to US Saturn)

Political News June 26, 2017: In keeping with the current transit of Jupiter (13Lib38; freedom, expansion) conjunct US natal Saturn (14Lib48; laws, legalities, courts, limitations) which brings a partial lifting of restrictions, Mr. Trump's travel ban has been somewhat upheld by SCOTUS and Trump's man, Justice Neil Gorsuch. Trump's (or should I say, Bannon's?) ban can now be partially enforced and the rest of its provisions are to be considered by SCOTUS in the autumn:

DC Horoscope: Autumn Equinox 2017 (Libra Ingress)

Autumn Equinox 2017 September 22, 2017 4:02 pm edt White House Washington DC with Capricorn, transit Pluto, asteroid Nemesis, and US natal Pluto rising (and US natal Mercury Rx setting). The chart and season are ruled by the 11th house Saturn @21Sag49 (alliances with senior and/or mature people) which again conjoins the natal Moon and South Node of Mr. Donald Trump, as we've discussed previously. The star of the show, the Sun 00Lib00:00 is in the 8th house of Corporatism, Insurance, Debt, Credit, Shared Resources, Legacies, the Occult, and Transformation (including Death).

Obviously, early on such issues as control, surveillance, coping, government systems, government, legal, and business concerns, plus, other Capricornian things will need dealing with during the autumn season along with issues of violence and war.

Saturn as chart-ruler makes only one applying Ptolemaic aspect, a trine with quirky anarchist Uranus, the leading and oriental planet of Donald Trump. This trine has been in effect for some time and here hints at how things will proceed from Autumn to Winter Solstice 2017. And there's an important factor that occurs prior to Autumn 2017 which is The Great American Eclipse of August 21, 2017 in the 1 North Saros Series which last manifested on August 11, 1999 @18Leo and is the famous 'King of Terror' Eclipse (aka, the Mother of All Eclipses) seemingly predicted by Nostradamus. This is why I penned "A 'new war on terror'?" on the chart for such propaganda is already being heard in the public discourse, thanks to pundits and reporters who shill for the Deep State and other corporate masters, international banking cartels, and crime syndicates. Perpetual war is their game.

Now as you see, The Moon (We the People) has left her conjunction with planet Jupiter (26Lib15) who can play roles such as The General, the politician, the banker, the broadcaster, the CEO, the religious leader, the thespian, guru, professor, and wears many other faces. Their conjunction is posited in the 9th house of Philosophy, Legal Affairs, Foreign Lands, and Travel (Jupiter's home territory) while asteroid Eros (the piercing) conjoins the Moon @1Sco24 which is the Sun's position in the Oct 24, 1993 'new world order' natal chart. Is such a piffling synchronicity a factor in light of the current Trump vs Deep State and other battles occurring during the first year of a Trump White House?

Most crystal balls would probably say, it's too soon to tell.

But besides a Lunar Eclipse on August 7th and the America-splitting Total Solar Eclipse noted above, there are various other cosmic events manifesting in August 2017 which must be navigated by the American people, Washington DC, and by Mr. Trump whose third of three Jupiter Return/s completes on August 4, 2017 (@17Lib27--conjunct US Progressed Mars Rx = militarized police, expanded gun carry laws, criminality, wounded veterans, etc) and whose next Mars Return (@26Leo and rising just before royal Regulus) begins a new (2-year) cycle of activity on August 31, 2017. All of Mr. Trump's Mars Returns are made more prominent due to his contentious Mars-the-warrior rising in dramatic, egocentric, often pompous Leo.

June 22, 2017 Republicans Reveal Trumpcare and a New Moon Follows

This morning on Capitol Hill, and during a Dark of the Moon phase when operating in secrecy is a given, senate Republicans revealed their healthcare bill, their answer to a promised repeal and replacement of what they've famously termed 'Obamacare'. Under a changeable Gemini Moon (and with Gemini's ruler Mercury, plus, Mars in Cancer, out-of-bounds and writing and doing who-knows-what), today's senate bill is not yet in its final form.

Like the previously passed House 'healthcare' bill, the senate version may be meaner than ill Americans, those in nursing homes (there thanks to Medicaid), and others need it to be..."mean, mean', mean" was Mr. Trump's recent description of the House bill. Now he says he wants the senate bill to have "heart". Well, with tomorrow's New Moon in its own sign of Cancer (care, nurturing, security, family) perhaps this will be the case. Or not. For the June 23rd New Moon conjoins a money planet--America's natal Venus.

Set for Washington DC, here's a horoscope of the June 23, 2017 New Moon @2Can47 which perfects at 10:30:38 pm edt. Outside the chart I've highlighted in red the US planets most affected by this New Moon which is symbolically imprinted upon the Republicans' healthcare bill, no matter its final form.

The natal US planets in Cancer notated in the chart are: Venus, Jupiter, and the Sun (POTUS); neglected is US natal Mercury Rx in the New Moon's 6th house, an indicator of thinking and talking about health matters:

Descriptively, the transiting Saturn-Neptune midpoint (sick, poor, weak people) rises at the New Moon's Ascendant (4AQ27) along with America's natal South Node (6AQ) and this gives a midpoint picture of limitations, suffering caused by others, and false intentions being noticed. I believe that false intentions are at the "heart" of the bill since the legislation's true motive has been recognized from the beginning as a massive tax break for the wealthy class while taking away health care and insurance from those in need (which is where the suffering and potential cases of death come in--the final bill may include financial give-aways to the States whose politicians can then decide whether or not to fund Medicaid!)

And as you've probably noticed, in recent years there have been various ways in which the wealthy and corporate classes have abandoned America a la 'Ayn Randism'--the Republican 'healthcare' bill (aka, 'Trumpcare') is simply the most recent example. Ayn Rand's cold 'survival of the fittest' mindset has no room for the sick, elderly, or disabled--even though Rand herself received benefits in her old age!

Another cosmic hint as to Trumpcare's true motives: the transiting South Node of the Moon--aka, the Tail of the Dragon, now swipes the US natal Moon (We The People) suggesting separation and loss and a lose-lose outcome for us. We see and feel the humanitarianism and equality of our natal Moon sign, Aquarius, disrespected as we're tossed under the corporate bus of Plutocracy and 'economic royalists' as the transiting degree of Plutocracy's favorite midpoint (Pluto-Chiron @23AQ40) is now poised to overwhelm and oppress US natal Moon.

In Makanda the eclipse will be experienced for 2 minutes 40 seconds; its partial phase begins at 11:52 am CDT; Totality begins at 1:20:11 pm CDT.

Ask Saturn: Rising Authoritarianism Can Be Defeated!

Have you noticed that soul-crushing, anti-democracy authoritarianism is on the rise across the globe? Donald Trump in the White House is America's primary symptom of its Saturnian paternalism as we find in the current picture of transit Pluto @18Capricorn hitting the Uranus-Neptune conjunction degree (1993) which times a certain midpoint picture--Uranus-Neptune = Pluto: 'the big picture must be followed, very little option to do otherwise' (Tyl)--and this, triggering the word picture for 18 Capricorn: POLITICAL POWER...negative expression: smug or strong-armed paternalism' (The Sabian Symbols in Astrology, Jones).

Of course, authoritarianism has been rising in America since before Trump entered the White House and one astrological timer I noticed years ago was the December 30, 1999 Great Conjunction of Pluto and Chiron, one of the astrological pairs of plutocracy, oppression, racism, and various other -isms such as Authoritarianism, Communism, Socialism, Bolshevikism, Capitalism--all terms invented by man to promote one oppressive scheme or another---and to divide the populace against itself.

Thing is, the 1999 Pluto-Chiron conjunction occurred @12Sagittarius which is the Ascendant degree in America's 'Sibly' horoscopes (July 4, 1776 5:00 pm LMT or a few minutes later--I use 5:09 pm which places 00Libra at MC and Aries Point at IC). This oppressive conjunction of primal violence helped to usher in the New Millennium. (View the chart when the Trump-Clinton debate of October 19, 2016 was timed by a new two-year cycle of brutal Mars and Pluto melding their powers at the South Node of the New Millennium).

And yet there is good news! For there are ways of countering, even stopping (Saturn) authoritarianism in its hoof-shaped tracks as someone at The Guardian advises us:

Authoritarianism is making a comeback. Here's the time-tested way to defeat it. "Tyrants' tactics require the consent of large numbers of people. The first lesson, then, is not to obey in advance."

Another sign post of authoritarianism (and the tyranny of plutocracy) infecting America in 2017 is our national Saturn exalted in Libra (14:48 in 1776), sign of the Scales of Justice, which by progression, turned retrograde in Mars-Pluto-ruled Scorpio (where our SP Saturn remains) in 1996 during the second presidential term of Bill Clinton whose tenure included impeachment and thus the undermining of the Executive Branch through the eager auspices of the Republican Party.

So now, in 2017, will the Democratic Party return the 'favor' and oppose the extreme authoritarianism of austerity-promoting Republicans and their mascot Donald Trump? Probably not with the nerve and verve needed (although they did stand up last night concerning the secret Trumpcare bill). But it requires We The People to defeat it by participating in this democracy (such as it is) using the peaceful tactics mentioned in the article linked above!

Now, in case you haven't seen it before, below is the horoscope of the Pluto-Chiron Conjunction of December 30, 1999 (@11Sag22--two esoteric numbers x two!) with my study notes penned on (please enlarge). You'll want to consider that Pluto-Chiron = Moon-Neptune and several other planetary factors including the Mother of All Eclipses of August 11, 1999 @18Leo in the 1 North Saros Series in this chart's 8th house of Corporatism, Big Money, and the Occult--and 1 North repeats upon this chart's 9th cusp on August 21, 2017 @29Leo, a critical degree--The Great American Eclipse--and I assert that there continues to be some weird plutocratic timing going on and we can expect global government (aka, a new world order) to be termed 'necessary' to solve the world's problems (which international bankers and their handmaidens, the political elite, created):

Also note that, among other things, 'Moon-Neptune' = mass un-consciousness, or, the Collective Unconscious. And thus, globalists have many of us thinking on a subliminal level that authoritarian global government is inevitable. It is not.

DC Horoscope: America's Solar Return 2017

July 4, 2017 America Turns 241 Years Old Just as Neptune Ascends

On July 4, 2017 at 11:35:33 pm edt, when the Sun returns to its position (13Can19) on July 4, 1776 (using 5:09 pm LMT Philadelphia, PA; 2017 chart set for Washington DC) as it does annually on or about July 4th (Independence Day), nebulous Neptune @14Pisces Rx will rise and serious Saturn Rx @23Sag will culminate at Midheaven (MC), the Public Status point of the horoscope. The recent Saturn-Neptune square will have waned but the trappings of this societal pairing remains as austere forces continue their long dreamed of attempt to undo FDR's New Deal programs and demolish LBJ's Great Society agenda.

Now it's a mystery how far along the current Trump-Russia investigation will be by July 4th but we can find a major part of it on the US Solar Return 2017 horoscope. Mr. Trump's natal Moon-South Node conjunction is there at MC for all to see along with restrictive Saturn while his natal Sun-North Node conjunction (electrified by his oriental Uranus in Gemini and making a formidable trio) conjoins the IC of this Solar Return chart--along with US natal Mars in Gemini.

Neptune rising (with Achernar, a star of crisis) suggests more of such things as scandals, propaganda, lies, 'fake news', paranoia, fanaticism, glamour, and a potential for large water-related events (or gas, oil, and/or fumes or toxins) and/or other difficult weather disasters--any of which may be too vast to handle and cause loss. Of course, karmic Saturn can bring loss as well and Saturn at MC (in Sagittarius, sign of immigrants, refugees, other foreign concerns, plus, travel) hints at a year when accountability, limitations, and taking responsibility in career-related matters are demanded--and the public (MC) must see this as reality (Saturn)--enough of the veils and cover-ups that astrological Neptune loves to supply. And of course, Saturn relates to the law and lawmakers so we may be seeing a cosmic picture here of the Trump administration's ongoing Russia problems, inflated as they may or may not be.

So naturally, invisible/secret (Neptune) government (Saturn) peeks from behind the curtain of power whether identified as 'Deep State' (more of a Pluto-Saturn signature), CFR/Illuminati, international bankers, or otherwise. Plus, we find transit Pluto Rx @18Capricorn in 11th house of Alliances sitting atop the NWO degree of the Great Uranus-Neptune conjunction/s of 1993: "A British Destroyer"...POLITICAL POWER = smug or strong-armed paternalism (Jones). I'll have to symbolically paint Mr. Trump with that particular daddy brush although others of the wealthy neoliberal class suit the paternalism picture just as well.

Well, perhaps Republican austerity measures (and weakened health care provisions in their Trumpcare bill) require veiling Neptune rising in order to get the corporate monster passed in the Senate. See Sun-Pluto = US Saturn, below.

Now if you look upper right on the chart, you'll see the dynamic Cardinal T-Square listed between Sun-Pluto (craving power; plutocracy) pointing toward apex Jupiter @14Lib10 (7th house and conjunct US natal Saturn, a transit we've previously discussed as partial burdens lifted). This energetic Cardinal pattern spotlights someone (Jupiter) with a deep urge to acquire wealth and though this may describe most politicians as a class, it seems to relate closely to Donald Trump who is in the midst of his latest Jupiter Return, with the third of three conjunctions perfecting on August 4, 2017 (17Lib27).

As you know, astrological Jupiter is a corporate planet ('CEO') of expansion and abundant resources, of course, and he freely crosses any boundary he meets, chafes against limitations, and tends to grab whatever attracts him. In Venus-ruled Libra, Mr. Trump's Jupiter accounts for his many cries of "that's not fair!" which is a huge part of how he relates to other people (shown by one's Jupiter sign). Fairness is his aim though the over-sensitivity of his rising Mars in proud Leo often interferes with an impatient 'me first' attitude and the quarreling nature of a street fighter. Here, the Sun rules the 6th house of service which includes Civil Servants, Police and Military Forces and with the North Node posited there, we may expect future actiona related to those branches of government.

For solar outcomes--however ego-driven they may be--we look to aspects to the Return Sun which include the square from Jupiter (0A50), a trine from mysterious Neptune (also 0A50!), the opposition by Pluto (4A55), and an applying conjunction by the Sun to warrior Mars at critical degree (20Cancer). Simultaneously, speedy Mercury @28Cancer opposes US natal Pluto (Rx @27Cap) which denotes that info or intell is purposefully withheld or distorted and opposing forces challenge opinions.

A Sun-Pluto opposition across the 5/11 self-will axis suggests extreme defensiveness when challenged, a quality naturally possessed by Mr. Trump, and hints at issues of an insecure ego. As POTUS (US Sun in Cancer), we find a man in a role quite large for him which has increased his tendency toward defiance. However, if logic is used and good advice taken, he may yet come out ahead of his many critics, or at least, may remain in office. Yes, there are massive forces set against him for during his 2016 presidential campaign, he promised to vanquish such forces long in control of the US government. Can he be surprised at how desperately they fight against him? So why did 'they' allow him to enter the Oval Office at all?

To me it seems part of a long-range strategy to weaken America and the office of the presidency, and to undermine our accustomed global leadership, something that is occurring as I type! Whether Mr. Trump is conscious of being used as such a tool for other people's interests is anyone's guess at this early date but there is powerful Pluto @18Cap and demanding that The Big Picture be followed, or else. And with secretive, confused Pisces rising, Jupiter and Neptune rule and co-rule the chart and our national Solar Return--but they are inconjunct one another! This describes a Jupiterian who misunderstands his responsibilities and struggles with problems of his own making--sound familiar, tweeters? It isn't that he doesn't want to fulfill his role, it's that the work is harder than he had imagined it would be and there is some measure of guilt attached to societal concerns such as aid for the needy. One thing to watch is how Neptune rising with potential weather or other natural disasters play out in the context of adequate FEMA funding.

Hopefully, the two Grand Trines (Saturn-Uranus-NN and Moon-Mercury-Chiron) will provide protection for the innocent!

Planets as Actors

So with the next year's solar conditions for and in America and the office of the president spotlighted in the 5th house of Risk-Taking, we find Jupiter in Libra as apex (focal point) of a Cardinal T-Square...what of it? Apex Jupiter in this configuration is primarily concerned with personal enrichment yet feels an urge to broadcast his views to the masses. How things could be is a typical topic as he looks toward an elusive future while grasping benefits for himself in the here-and-now. Since the Cardinal mode is initiating, pioneering is part of the picture, especially with adventurous Jupiter involved who, in spite of personal shortcomings which include superficiality, loudly promotes his causes to great effect. As we all do, this Jupiterian needs to practice what he preaches yet political concerns (and advisers) may often interfere since muddled ethics and changing standards offer him little direction or constancy.

Rashness and a tendency to over-extend may be evident via this opinionated apex Jupiter and dogmatism may be part of his promotional efforts (Tierney). Bigotry and prejudice may continue to peek through his actions and rhetoric which suits some of his audience while deeply offending others. Yes, the Jupiterian Mr. Trump's optimism toward America is apparent, even uplifting, yet an inability to consider long-range consequences created by the short-term benefits he desires (emoluments? conflicts of interest? loved by all?) can trip him up in the long run as Saturn at MC demands accountability, authenticity, maturity, realism, and truth from America's chief executive.

So what if we replace the Cardinal T-Square's apex Jupiter with US natal Saturn? Then we have a description of a society that allows or permits social injustices to continue, imprisons millions of its population, and supports domineering Saturnian actors who purport to 'bring order to chaos' but have unclear goals and a hidden agenda. It is, in Hegelian form, a chaos they themselves have intentionally created.

Now as you know, a Mars Return chart symbolizes a new 2-year cycle of energy and activity underway and in this chart we see a cluster of trines forming a double Kite pattern of high-flying success. However, an undermining Sun-Neptune opposition is problematic plus, simultaneously transit Neptune @12Pisces remains in a masking relationship with US SP (progressed) Sun (POTUS) which suggests Mr. Trump's ongoing issues of paranoia, fanaticism, vagueness, deception, cover-up, illusions, pretense, an image of confusion, doubt, and disappointment--and, perhaps above all--scandal (real or manufactured). Yes, foggy Neptune is the "cloud" surrounding Mr. Trump and his White House minions. In addition, astrological Neptune represents both the media and the masses with propaganda and 'fake news' tossed in as deceptive tools to use and hide behind even as certain status quo forces attempt to unmask him and the rest of his crew who apparently have foreign ties and financial and/or political conflicts of interest.

Mr. Trump's current difficulties are also seen through transit Saturn @21Sag12, the taskmaster and lesson-bringer, again hitting Trump's natal Moon which conjoins his natal South Node and this transit we have discussed in previous posts (see link, below). Here, the 5th house of Risk-Taking, Creative Pursuits, and Children are spotlighted with possible separation themes (Saturn-SN; Moon = family and/or security concerns). In the 5th house, transit Moon @29Sag is in a critical state (29th degree) yet if we round up we find "The Pope Blessing the Faithful" (30Sag). Plus, the 5/11 axis holds an intercepted Gem-Sag polarity where Mr. Trump's natal Full Moon (Sun-NN/Moon-SN) has been accustomed to exercising free will while indulging his every whim as CEO.

But in the role of US president (which he admitted he thought would be "easier"), restrictions apply which, beside a security need for isolation, have included legal judgments--and triggered our traditional form of government with its checks and balances meant to keep a monarchical presidency in line. For as a political pundit stated recently, Donald Trump "doesn't own the US government", he's only a "caretaker." (Note that Alphard tends toward legal troubles and Trump's contentious Mars only adds energy and a sense of retaliation to his quarrels--legal, political, and personal; the 'poisoning' of or by Alphard may be vicious and malicious--and there's nearby Regulus, always tempted to take revenge).

Why, even astrological Venus can be vengeful, envious, and full of spite especially when scorned and here, she rises in Leo and suggests that dealings with valuable things, currency evaluation (or devaluation), luxury items, diplomacy, and/or relationships are on the White House agenda. Ruling the 4th house (via Libra, the Scales of Justice), legalities are suggested along with 4th house concerns such as security needs ('travel bans'? 'the wall'?), Real Estate (emoluments for Trump's properties? other?), Mining (coal?), and/or Endings, possibly through a Draining of Resources.

Mars Trine Uranus (1A26): Quirky Actions Bring Unexpected Results; Groups & Travel Are Favored

Now a bright spotlight is cast upon the Return 2nd house with Mars, Mercury, and Sun therein, plus, the 10th house contains Uranus Rx stirring things up; other areas most likely to be affected over the next two years by Mr. Trump's 2017 cycle of Mars (which must include Alphard) are the 5th house (penetrating Mars ruling Scorpio) and again, the 10th house of Career/Public Status/World Stage with Mars-ruled Aries on the cusp (MC), and as noted, unpredictable Uranus Rx @28Ari12 there acting as a tail of a complex Kite. Fortunate Jupiter conjoins the IC of the Return chart but from the 3rd house side (Communications galore) and has recently participated in Mr. Trump's 3rd of 3 Jupiter Returns (see August 4, below).

June 13, 2017 AG Jeff Sessions testifies under a Mercury-Neptune square

Scheduled today at 2:30 pm edt on Capitol Hill is an open session with Attorney General Jeff Sessions who will answer the senators' questions (or not) under the day's confusing influence of a Mercury (testifier; communicator; speaker) square Neptune, planet of delusion, deception, fraud, the media, the masses--you know the list. The assimilation of information is faulty as we see with Donald Trump who was born with the same aspect between Mercury and Neptune resulting in loose lips, indiscretion, misconceptions, lies, and a 'sneaky mind' (Oken).

Under this problematic square, who's right and who's wrong is a confusing matter and cold logic is missing although inspiration and intuition may be enhanced and illusions may be promoted. It's a tricky period during which Mr. Sessions has placed himself on the hot seat in a public forum to basically defend himself--and Mr. Trump.

Will undisputed facts reach right conclusions? As an astrologer, I doubt it. As an American, I sincerely long for facts to point in the correct direction yet I fret that today's testimony by AG Jeff Sessions will make little or no difference in the end.

Sun Gem-Moon Sag: It's All About Mr. Trump

It's June 8, 2017 and former FBI Director James Comey is testifying today to the Senate Intelligence Committee on Trump-Russia topics under today's Sun-Moon blend (Gemini-Sagittarius) which happens to be the natal blend of Donald J. Trump.

This is an Air-Fire combo of energies of one who is inquisitive, has a vivid imagination, and is usually able to wiggle out of tight squeezes. However, a lack of mental discipline can lead to recklessness, a word often used to describe Mr. Trump's actions especially in the realm of his tweets which are by many people considered to be official statements of the president of the United States of America. Additionally, this blend's tendency toward indiscretion supports his indiscreet Mercury-Neptune square which inspires many misconceptions for his sneaky mind (Oken) to imagine and embroider upon.

Also of interest is tomorrow, June 9, 2017, the day of Jupiter's Direct Station @13Libra (which echoes Mr. Trump's natal Jupiter Direct Station @17Lib27 in 2nd house and sandwiching along with his Neptune his natal Chiron) which will contain a Full Moon @18Sag53 (again, an echo of Trump's natal Sun-Moon opposition conjunct his Nodal Gem-Sag axis) which perfects at 9:09:32 am edt. Transit Neptune squares this Full Moon and suggests illusions, deceptions, and discontent.

A Jupiter Note: Mr. Trump's last of three conjunctions in his current Jupiter Return period occurs August 4, 2017.

Now as you know, Full Moons time stages of awareness, culmination, and/or fulfillment on some level or levels, relate to relationships, and, in this case, 'bookends' the prior New Moon (May 25th @4Gem46). Endings of relationships are possible as is the uncovering of secrets under the rays of a Full Moon. Plus, prominent Full Moons can act much as eclipses (Full = Lunar Eclipses, New Moons = Solar Eclipses) - as 'wild cards' of the Universe - by revealing hidden things and disrupting earthly events. It remains to be seen the legal or political fall-out from Mr. Comey's testimony today and the last time I checked Mr. Trump Twitter feed (it's now 12:30 pm edt) he had not begun to 'live tweet' private citizen James Comey's testimony in an attempt to counteract it. Not yet.

But suffice to say, with or in spite of astrological portents, there will be fall-out.

Mr. Comey's testimony to Congress is public in the morning at 10:00 am edt with a private session set for after lunch (2:00 pm edt). The four Solar and Lunar Eclipses of 2017 are penned outside the charts and they bracket Trump's ASC-DESC axis--with the August 21st Solar Eclipse @29Leo precisely conjunct his natal Ascendant which can bring explosive events. We'll consider the planetary links that jump out at us although more connections exist, of course, and I trust you to find them if you wish.

As you see, the spotlight (Sun 17Gem57) shines upon Mr. Trump's natal Uranus (17:53) which draws eyes to his quirky, disruptive style of 'governing'.

Now the main trio is Trump's rising Mars @26Leo conjoined by Comey's natal Uranus (explosive! bombshell!) and both planets are pointed toward by the transiting North Node of public encounters. An interpretation of this trio's potentials as a midpoint picture is penned on the chart, lower left, but add to it possibilities such as quarrels, disruption, meetings with law enforcement, and/or radical political reforms or reformers.

There is also a transiting 'YOD' (crisis; turning point; special task) formed at 10:00 am of Jupiter-Ascendant = Neptune (14Pis14), planet of masks, obfuscation, deception, and scandals which conjoins fixed star Achernar (crisis at the end of the river; the risk of rapid endings). The picture is: an astute politician with little practical sense (Munkasey); speculation; disappointments; losses (Ebertin). Neptune as apex planet of a YOD pattern indicates one who would rather remain in his emotional ivory tower than directly face harsh realities without--he gazes at his difficulties from afar.

Here's an unmasking of dreamy but gaseous Neptune now:

Between the natal charts of the two combatants is James Comey's natal Sun (22Sag) conjunct Donald Trump's natal Moon-SN conjunction and opposing Trump's natal Sun-NN conjunction. Is this a destined confrontation? It seems both personalities (Sun) and emotions (Moon) clash between them as reps of their generations (1946 vs 1960), and natal Sun conjunct another's Moon ultimately gives the Sun person (Comey) the upper hand. Plus, transit Saturn has been afflicting Mr. Trump's Sun-Moon opposition on his Nodal axis off and on since late last year (applying, with a 5-degree orb).

Then in Trump's 5th house you see transit Pluto @18Capricorn conjunct (as it has been off and on of late) Mr. Comey's natal Saturn, planet of authority, accountability, and control and denoting a situation where he must confront abuse of authority. And in a flurry of synchronicity, transit (Tr) Pluto is in the midst of the 1993 degree/s of the Great Conjunction of Uranus and Neptune which we've discussed several times previously: the big picture must be followed, very little option to do otherwise (Tyl).

Now as you know, Mr. Trump campaigned on fighting against that 'big picture' (global governance) with his version of American Nationalism and isolationism (ex: withdrawal from the Paris agreement on climate change). If the play goes on as scheduled on June 8, 2017 we'll see a political performance with Mr. Trump up against tremendous forces determined to take him down and though this is tragic on a personal level, it matters more that the US government is being 'taken down' with him, almost as if it were planned all along.

The sad misfortune of the American people circa 2017 and beyond partially lies in the flaws and failings of the man who now plays the role of our nation's knight in tarnished shining armor.

Aug 2017 Lunar Eclipse Hits The Confederacy's Sun

August 2017: Lunar and Solar Eclipse Alerts for the White House?

In January 2013 I posted here the natal horoscope of The Confederacy with its Sun @15Aquarius. The Confederacy Sun will be eclipsed on August 7, 2017 by a Lunar Eclipse @15AQ and given the infiltration of the White House by Klansmen (or by KKK supporters and sympaticos, Mr. Bannon in particular who just loves to employ the power of dark forces), it seems significant that such a solar relic from America's Civil War past will, in August 2017, be in focus via what can be called the cosmic blink of a Lunar Eclipse--then another blink from the accompanying Total Solar Eclipse as its shadow races across the country from Oregon to South Carolina where the Civil War's first shot was fired.

Now as you know, both lunar and solar eclipses may be described as "wild cards of the Universe" because of their disruptive Uranian qualities such as the ability to upset apple carts and dislodge secrets and other inconvenient information that some would prefer kept hidden. And since a Lunar Eclipse involves the Moon with its correlation to the unconscious and the past (including one's previous actions, behavior, and scandals), we may expect more glaring leaks and uncovered secrets in and around August 2017 and afterward. These may apply in particular to the shrouded-in-secrets White House and its current denizens who are already under much pressure. Besides, that's where the Klan lurks behind every door.

And as various Confederate monuments are being removed in the US it occurs to me to wonder why the most offensive of all (imho)--the statue of Confederate Brigadier General, Freemason, and Klansman Albert Pike--remains on guard in Judiciary Square near the US Capitol Building where Congress meets 'to do the people's business'.

UPDATE July 1, 2020: Good news for fussy me! On June 19, 2020 the (creepy, offensive) statue of musty old Albert Pike was toppled! Follow the link to view a bi-wheel of the toppling horoscope with Pike's natals surrounding it.

So while Googling for information on Pike's memorial statue, I ran across something of a defense of Albert Pike and the long held assumption of his being a Luciferian due in part to his famous quote concerning Lucifer. Check it out, if you're interested, for the blog puts Pike's words into context and I shall leave it to you, dear reader, to form your own conclusion concerning this 'Knight of the Golden Circle'.

Plus, you're familiar with the reputed and infamous letter the 'exalted' Freemason Pike sent to Mazzini (founder of Sicily's Mafia) dated August 15, 1871. Here's an excerpt which actually describes much of the social changes and unrest currently in progress and instigated by the radicals haunting the White House halls and their enablers, public and private:

"We shall unleash the Nihilists and the atheists, and we shall provoke a formidable social cataclysm which in all its horror will show clearly to the nations the effect of absolute atheism, origin of savagery, and of the most bloody turmoil. Then everywhere, the citizens, obliged to defend themselves against the world minority of revolutionaries, will exterminate those destroyers of civilization, and the multitude, disillusioned with Christianity, whose deistic spirits will from that moment be without compass, anxious for an ideal, but without knowing where to render its adoration, will receive the pure light...of Lucifer, brought finally into public view, a manifestation which will result from the general reactionary movement which will follow the destruction of Christianity and atheism, both conquered and exterminated at the same time."

Whether the letter was written by a luciferian Pike or not, its cunning is worthy of Lucifer-Satan's way of thinking--to seduce and take as many souls down with him as he goes as he possibly can. The letter goes on to promote the Masonic plan for World War III which turns up in 2017 as a frequent topic of concern and anxiety. Genuine or not, whoever penned the 1871 letter was, at the least, a master of run-on sentences.

So as Thomas Jefferson famously admitted, "I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that His justice cannot sleep forever." And so should we all. But somehow the ones perpetrating the Utopian plan of global horror and persuasion upon the world seem unconcerned as if their actions are above natural law. Wonder how shocked they'll be when it turns out that that is exactly what they are not and that they will be held accountable for their actions on Earth and how they oppressed and harmed the innocent...because karma's law of reaping what's been sown applies to every single one of us on Planet Earth...with no exemptions for politicians or bankers.

And this August 2017, either karmic retribution or progress will arrive in America in two forms: a Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius (August 7) which will tell us something about our reactions to Solar Eclipse events and conditions, and on August 21 the Total Solar Eclipse in Leo at a critical 29th degree ('The Great American Eclipse') conjunct the natal Ascendant of plotter Donald Trump, a denizen of the White House and a man who listens to self-described Satanist Mr. Bannon with his radical agenda to destroy the US government and rebuild the world in the image of Lucifer.

The August Leo Eclipse: a Potential Ruh-Roh for America

As always, eclipses may trigger disastrous weather and other natural events (ex: Mount St. Helen's is rumbling again, and storms, flooding, and fires are potentials) but there's more to consider because eclipses in Leo spotlight the need to exercise genuine leadership in whatever karmic situations and conditions manifest. Plus, a Leonine 'cosmic blink' suggests a paternal karmic link with an offspring (also denizens of the White House) and cautions against self-centered egocentricity, vainglory, ostentation, pomposity, pride, and other negative traits of the sign Leo--and there's a huge ruh-roh right there in the form of you-know-who.

How unfortunate for America and the world that her current 'leader' can't seem to avoid displaying his negative Leo traits in such constant abundance with his 29Leo Ascendant and Mars rising in Leo conjunct royal star Regulus. And in spite of the star's traditional or else caution, it's tragically predictable with Mr. Trump that revenge and retaliation will be taken which guarantees that at some point, all that's been gained shall be taken away.

America's Saturn Rx and Summer Solstice 2017

Saturn, Planet of Authority and Authenticity: from Libra to Scorpio

With Summer Solstice 2017 about to arrive at 12:24 am edt on June 21st with Saturn now in Sagittarius highly visible at the top of the solstice chart (set for DC), we may wish to review the past and current conditions of America's Saturn.

In 1996 US Saturn Turned Rx by Progression @3Scorpio under the presidency of House-impeached Bill Clinton whose tenure of turmoil helped undermine the authority, authenticity, and dignity of the Executive Branch and muddied America's reputation on the global stage. Tragic Mars-Pluto (Scorpio) style events of power and brutality involving government authority such as the Oklahoma City Bombing, allegedly a vengeful act committed in response to the Clinton-Reno-FBI Siege at Waco, kept Mr. Clinton busy as the office of the presidency dissolved in tatters, a result cheered by his Republican opponents. (The political strategy of R vs D theatrics is primarily just that--divisive theatrics, since it's really Rulers vs The Ruled.)

Obvious correspondences from the Clinton era to Donald Trump's 'presidential' behavior in the White House circa 2017 may be noted but for those who follow Trump's haphazard presidency--and realize that The Klan now leads America from the White House--it isn't necessary to mention them in this brief post. Mr. Trump is in process of threatening to leave or actually withdrawing the US from previous alliances in which America was leader (Saturn) and our Saturn's retrograde condition is part of that picture.

As you know, Trump's natal Saturn is debilitated in Cancer (Cancer opposes Capricorn, the sign Saturn rules). His natal Saturn is in 11th house, the place of Groups and Alliances, and Trump's resentments run deep while his natal Jupiter Station Direct in Libra relates to others with frequent protestations of "that's not fair!" The retaining of large amounts of money lurks at the base of the issue for the Jupiterian Mr. Trump.

Meanwhile, America's SP Saturn in Scorpio suggests potentials for esoteric, occult, and metaphysical study (which our Founding Fathers possessed as seen in their goddess Venus and Virgo fixations--plus, you've noted Trump's constant use of Freemason hand signals), transformation (destruction, then rebuilding via Pluto), obstinacy, endurance, a more serious outlook, and the urge to delve deeply into difficult problems (Ebertin). All this is quite a change from US natal Saturn exalted in Venus-ruled Libra, sign of diplomacy, values, and the Scales of Justice. Now I know that each sign represents progress issuing from the previous sign, and, one hopes, improvement.

But in this case, America's exalted Saturn of 1776 (trine progressive radical Uranus in Gemini, its brilliance and genius successfully poured into the Saturnian forms of our 'freedom documents' a la Plato) has been degraded now that US progressed Saturn (SP) is retrograde (moving backward) in death-dealing Scorpio while on the physical plane it uses its authoritative energies against (Rx) the American people and against the entire world.

And now we see actor Donald Trump withdrawing the US from certain areas of global leadership which then opens the way for other nations to take control of the power elite's Great Plan for global governance which makes him, knowingly or unknowingly, a foreign agent in the White House.

Perhaps you disagree but there it is.

Described as "an ardent American nationalist" in this informative article, dictionary titan Noah Webster invented the word 'immigration' to define those who remove to a country.

On the thorny Trump-touted topic of immigration, it's only natural that many astrologers refer to the Sabian Symbol for '23 Sagittarius':

"A Group of Immigrants As They Fulfill the Requirements of Entrance Into the New Country"..."Keynote: Consciously accepting the ways of a new stage of experience, in readiness for the opportunities it will present...TRANSITION" (Rudhyar).

To this Marc Edmund Jones adds, "Keyword: ENTRANCE...positive expression = courage in crossing new frontiers and skill in repeating or improving on prior achievement; negative expression = a surrender of the real in a pursuit of the false."

Curiously, self-identified American nationalist Donald Trump was born with his natal Moon-South-Node conjunction in Sagittarius (opposing his Sun-North-Node in Gemini) verynear this degree of "immigration"...and not forgetting that, in the Zodiac, degrees that oppose one another are Illumination Points full of unconscious material.

So given Mr. Trump's political use of America's immigration issue, let's check Jones for the Illumination Point of '23Sag' which is '23 Gemini': "Three Fledglings in a Nest High in a Tree"...ELEVATION: "positive expression: an unconditional creativity exalted to the point of complete freedom from any immediate involvement; negative expression: psychological witlessness and a false sense of release from responsibility."

Pursuing the false, witlessness, elevation of fledglings, lack of responsibility?

The first names that come to mind in 2017 are Donald Trump, daughter-in-chief Ivanka and her hubby Jared Kushner...elevated to the White House (top of the 'tree') although I'm not certain they're witless as much as agents for the destabilization of the US government for the sake and elevation of a foreign government or governments.
