Today I'm grieving for Jennifer Hudson and her family and I know both readers of this blog are saddened by this family tragedy.

Here in Georgia the weather is chill and damp today so we're staying as snug as bugs may be expected to stay.

Hearing of Barack Obama's speech in Canton, Ohio today puts me in mind of the famous anti-war speech so well-delivered several moons ago by Eugene V. Debs.

And here I've exerpted from his advice for you if you go to Washington so heed before you leave for Washington Town. The city's parallel is most particular, y'know, and there are more mountain goats than you can shake a stick at there.

So between speeches by Debs and the stellar Cross of Gold speech by William Jennings Bryan is where I find myself plopped this day while pondering why Senator Obama chose Canton in which to speak, or perhaps I should say....preach.

Natally Barack Obama has Chiron in Watery Pisces, sign of the collective, sign of compassion (not the manufactured kind), sign of sacrifice, and sign of fishes everywhere.

Pisces can be the preacher but many generals have been born under the sign of the fish (which may seem odd at first.)

And since Chiron travels between the orbits of Saturn (the past) and Uranus (the future), Chiron is the "be here now" figure, the Alpha and Omega and the All in between.

This symbolism echoes within Bryan's Cross of Gold speech which superimposes the strain against mankind on to a cross of cruxifixion by materialistic greed's physicality and frigidity of feeling for one's fellow man.

This precise speech garnered Bryan the Democratic Party's nomination for president although he had not been the nominee before the DNC took place.

But you see, WJB held the audience spellbound. A silver-tongued Democrat of the populist persuasion is difficult to ignore.

The supplied audio of his Cross of Gold speech (which I heard part of last week on NPR) was recorded some years after that night at the DNC. Unfortunately, no recording of his speech's actual DNC delivery exists...but eye-witness reports fill out the picture along with the text.

Germany's Kristallnacht resolution stalls

German politicians divided over anti-Semitism as the German Parliament attempts to pass a unanimous resolution against anti-Semitism to coincide with the 70th anniversary of the Night of Broken Glass.

Anti-Semitism is 'on the rise' in Germany, the article states and it seems that 70 years of perspective aren't enough.

Of course, it's much more complex an issue than my simplistic can't we all just get along mindset. But should it be?

What's the world's mood for the day? At least for the western world which uses mainly the tropical zodiac! Actually, it begins with a Leo Moon and ends with Virgo...

If that's what they Want me to think, it worked like a charm on this citizen.

Now, mind you, this is the same highway that Homeland Security has under consideration for building an infectious lab facility to be placed in the same area as UGA animal laboratories and pastures. It seems ironic to me how the scientific community never tires of crowing cock-a-doodle-doo about its marvelous accomplishments when it wants to sell you a new and more expensive med, but then it acts all wimpy and worried about preventing animal-to-human infections when the government orders a new wave of fear mongering to be unleashed upon the public.

One of my childhood favorites:

Foghorn Leghorn would've been ashamed of his cousin appearing on such a billboard in order to unnerve the American people. Foghorn Leghorn has more integrity than that.

And I can't imagine what good such a billboard can lead to...if you have any ideas, please let me know, because as it stands now, I'll be training myself to ignore the pandemic rooster billboard every day as I head to and from work...but who knows? Perhaps I shouldn't.

Kristallnacht relics found from 1938

Artifacts of Kristallnacht (meaning 'Night of Broken Glass' - broken glass is signified by Saturn-Uranus which are now opposed) have been discovered near Berlin in the state of Brandenburg.

On the night of Nov 9, 1938, a pogrom against the Jews was carried out at Hitler's direction. Over 1,400 synagogues and other religious establishments and businesses across Germany and Austria were destroyed or damaged, dozens of Jews were killed, and thousands were arrested and sent to concentration camps.

In what is thought to have been a dump, journalist Yaron Svoray has discovered relics such as a glass bottle with a Star of David imprinted on it, among other things, and an investigation is in the works which include the efforts of Israel's Ghetto Fighters' Museum.

The world is nearing the 70th anniversary of Kristallnacht, so I took a look at the chart for 8:53:15 pm CET, Berlin, Germany because the World Point, 00Aries00 was precisely at Midheaven at that moment in history:

As you see, Saturn and Uranus are appr 33 degrees apart and nearing their Great Conjunction of May 3, 1942 (29Tau20 - a 29th degree of crisis.) It may or may not be significant, but '33' is an important number in certain secret societies at least one of which Hitler may have been a member.

Cancer, sign of home and tradition (both of which were wounded that night) is a deeply sensitive placement for Chiron. Richard Nolle says that Chiron in Cancer is attuned to the past and may indicate a folk hero or an infamous legend.

Can we agree as to which figure Kristallnacht reminds us of?

Barbara Hand Clow gives Chiron in Cancer as: a crisis over cultural roots and/or a crisis of personal protection. Obviously, Kristallnacht was both rolled fiendishly into one.

Nolle, in his book, Chiron, goes on to say that "whether applauded or condemned by the judgment of time or their peers, these people believe deeply in whatever they do. Their actions, however controversial, stem from a deep conviction that what they are doing will somehow make this a better world, right a wrong of longstanding, or prepare the way for some brighter day.

Obama leaves campaign trail temporarily

Candidate Barack Obama will leave the campaign trail later this week to visit his very ill grandmother in Hawaii for a couple of days.

This 85-year-old lady worked for the US war effort in WWII while her husband served with General Patton, and she's been nothing but supportive of her grandson who, though busy as anyone can be in this world, will be stepping off the campaign merry-go-round long enough to spend two days with his ailing grandmother who helped raise him.

This is undoubtedly a difficult time for Senator Obama and his family especially since Mrs. Dunham is the last of his parents-grandparents with his parents both gone, and his other grandparents gone, too.

So I hope their visit seals that deal over and above any other deals pending on Barack Obama's table.

Calling this Eclipse from the 11 North Series the 'New President' Eclipse is only a name I made up because it occurs barely 6 days into the new administration. You may disagree and call it something else, but there it is.

Actually, my tar'n'feather fund is still bubbling on the hob, if you'd care to stir, for all may depend on whether George Bush can be successfully shooed out of the White House by Jan 2009. Or maybe booed out will do the trick.

Or perhaps we can tease him out of office by offering him a fantastic vacation, preferrably an all-expenses-paid tour of some of the countries now threatening him, Cheney, and their pals with criminal prosecution for war crimes.

Why, I'd start watching CNN and C-Span again just to see that spectacle. Would you?

My deepest wish is that the American people send a message on November 4 to all Republicans: we don't appreciate your Treasury-emptying budgetary ways, or your war profiteering at other people's expense.

And to their Democratic enablers? We may be stuck with them just to make point #1, but we'll be keeping a much closer watch on their ethics, budgets, and votes if they should be so favored as to win a majority on Capitol Hill come November - House, Senate, or both.

And since Pelosi and Reid sold us down the river with Paulson's banker-enriching 'Bailout plan' then the two of them are on probation for the duration until all fraudsters can be swept out the back door...and it'll be good riddance if that day ever comes.

Leaving Iraq + the 'New President' Eclipse

Iraqis stage mass anti-US occupation rally

Supporters of Shia cleric Moqtada Sadr have staged a mass demonstration in Baghdad in protest against plans to extend the US mandate in Iraq.

An estimated 50,000 protesters chanted slogans such as "Get out occupier!"

As mentioned previously, I must agree with what my mama always said: Never go where you're not invited, never stay where you're merely tolerated.

The toleration (what little there ever was) for US troops in Iraq, has ended.

You know that about 6 days into the new administration, a Solar Eclipse occurs. The Ascendant degree of the Eclipse when set for the White House is 1Sag59 so we may look to the Sabian Symbol for:

'2Sag'..."The Ocean Covered with Whitecaps" which to my ears has a White House/Washington DC flavor to it.

However, '1Sag' is a Symbol I've typed many times here and elswhere relating to the Pentagon, our military, and to the Bush-Cheney wars: "A Grand Army of the Republic Campfire."

This indicates to me that the Iraq Occupation and a redeployment or 'surge' into Afghanistan will be first-ups on the desk of the new president. War costs must be on the menu as well, if common sense holds any sway at all.

The January Eclipse degree '6AQ30' is conjunct America's natal South Node, a point of separation and of falling back on past behaviors and talents. If the 'past behaviors' are are better ones from our past, that's okay by me. But if it's unconscious behavior, it'll be more of the same Bushiness. You know - bashing your head against a brick wall and expecting a different result than self-undoing.

And I think that this Eclipse points to America's upcoming Nodal Half-Return, when our weaker relationships and associations may be broken. This Nodal Half-Return (as you will see notated upon the Eclipse chart) occurs on or about April 8, 2009 (using True Node.)

Obviously, the days between Jan 20 (or Jan 26, counting from the Solar Eclipse) until at least April 8 will be key, as the first days of any administration are, for they set the tone for the presidential term. We tend to call the period the "first 100 days" which goes into early May, of course. But it will be interesting to see if associations are broken around early April, give or take a few weeks or so.

Also the first 100 days of an administration are often referred to as a honeymoon period after which reality sets in along with a tinge of buyers' remorse, in many cases.

So with Europe and the rest of the world running from Washington and Wall Street like the plague because of the bandits and thieves who've burned them once too many times, it may be others breaking with us before it's the other way round.

But we'll see, esp since the influence of the Jan 26 Eclipse has to do with making greater commitments in relationships. It's an interesting influence coming upon the degree of our SN, a separative point (the Dragon's Tail), and with a Nodal Half-Return falling within the Eclipse season. All in all, it's a dicey season all around, but you don't need Astrology to tell you that.

Still, a Nodal Half-Return is problematic only where weak associations are concerned...if they don't break then, they will be strengthened going forward.

Is 'spread the wealth' same as socialism?

Charges are mulitplying by McCain and his surrogates that Barack Obama's tax proposals and other economic ideas are 'socialist' in nature.

Well, it's true that the phrase "spread the wealth" never goes over well with the richest class, and I can think of no better reason than this: if spreading or sharing actually occurred, half a million or so of their dollars might be used to feed the hungry, bind the wounds of the ill and dying, and comfort an orphan or a foster child or two.

Why, a factory might be built and a few jobs created - and after the corporate elite worked so hard to ship our jobs overseas, too!

So apparently, if there's one thing a rich man can't stand, it's being his brother's keeper by giving back a little of the largesse he receives through the laws of this great nation and from the sweat of the common worker's brow.

Never mind that a rich man has money and legal reps to avoid paying taxes which he rightly should have been paying all along. Plus, they didn't invent offshore or Swiss bank accounts for nuthin'!

As you know, it was King Midas who turned everything he touched into gold which became a major problem to him because gold isn't everything and people turned into golden statues make poor companions.

Now, lest a rich man think this gnat of a blogger covets his gold, let him rest at ease, for temporary values don't trump (Trump!) eternal values with me - for it's easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God, says Scripture.

And you know that rich men probably think they have that circumvented just as they do with creative accounting tricks, triple sets of books, laws skewed on their behalf against the individual, world banks in cahoots, and Wall Street schemes galore.

But one day when All accounts are settled, we'll have to see about that. We'll all just have to see, won't we?

Wall Street loves a good scam

Professor Thayer Watkins of San Jose University Department of Economics recounts the tale of Equity Funding whose fake insurance policy scams were uncovered by auditors in 1973 causing the company to collapse. And since Wall Street's high assessment of Equity Funding had allowed buyouts of other profitable firms, the dominoes fell.

Yes, Equity Funding became a major success on Wall Street which shows you the company the scalliwags were keeping on both sides. Equity Funding created fake insurance policies early on - no one seems to know exactly when - to inflate their profits for Wall Street's admiration, then they sold them through the reinsurance market.

Stop me if any of this sounds familiar, because it should.

Prof Watkins uses Dirk's and Gross' book, The Great Wall Street Scandal as his source. A quick foray to Amazon shows that this book seems to be available from sellers but is out of print.

The Equity Funding section by Prof Watkins is part of his "Episodes of Financial Fraud and Speculation" which includes an article on the 1924 scandal of counterfeiting in Portugal by Alves Reis, a Keynesian scheme which turned out to have been better for the Portugese economy than the policies of former economics professor, Salazar, who became dictator of the country in 1932.

Another fraudulent epic included is the saga of the Penn State Bank of Oklahoma City and Bill 'Monkeybrains' Patterson which involved the oil and gas industries of OK and TX. Now I know that we're not supposed to mess with Texas (and as a rule, I don't), but apparently certain folks in Texas were cleared to mess with us a long time ago.

In summary, Prof Watkins provides some interesting reading here if you're in the mood for how fraud is perpetrated by the 'experts' which makes a perfect companion to the Fed's slight-of-hand today, esp if you click on some of the other links in the History category on the Home Page - ex: I highly recommend his article on the causes of the Great Depression and the Fed's blame due to their actions which precipitated the decline in money supply, along with banks hoarding the money, the general populace holding on to cash (sound familiar?), and the liquidationist policy of Treasury secretary Andrew Mellon.

Mellon and his pals thought that the liquidation of 'weak' banks was necessary for the recovery of the banking system.

Now I know we've all heard that before!

George Bush + Oliver Stone natal charts

From what I'm hearing about director Oliver Stone's new film W, he and George W. Bush share something - each has a father complex.

Yet from the looks of their close-in-time natal charts, they share more than that.

Both men were born within the same Pre-Natal Eclipse Series, 2 New North, the Series that concerns collapse of plans and lifestyles with long-term effects of rebuilding and transformation. If you relate this Series to the Tarot deck's #16 - The Tower card, you have it in a nutshell.

Brady's Predictive Astrology adds that after the dust settles and the rebuilding starts, the consequences of the re-shaping will have far-reaching effects; this Eclipse Series tends to change people's directions through a sudden collapse of an existing structure.

Now we know that Solar Eclipses can leave their marks for years by sensitizing the degrees at which they manifest, and this particular Series is still having, imo, far-reaching effects (along with the 'King of Terror' - or 'Alarm' - Eclipse of August 11, 1999; 18Leo+, the position of Venus on 9/11/01.)

Both Eclipses are part of the ongoing financial crisis and collapse of our world economy which I have previously stated stems from the ripples issuing from the attacks of 9/11 ("The Tower" x 2.)

That I believe the economic collapse has been on the drawing board for years in order to usher in a new financial world order is beside the point - the point is, you're feeling these effects and so is everyone you know. Fear is what they want us to feel. Notice Warren Buffett's comments about when he buys up stocks.

So the media is helping to prepare us now with "our financial system will never be the same" - things will be 'different', and questions like, Is capitalism dead? You've heard it all, I know you have, as Pluto's transformative power moves into the business-politics-law sign of Capricorn, sign of The Father.

Synchronistically, another 'heralding' event occurred within the 2NN Series: the bombing of the USS Cole (Oct 12, 2000.) And I believe that much of the final plans for the 'New Millennium' switch toward totalitarianism were laid under the auspices of this difficult Eclipse Series along with that of the August '99 Eclipse. The secret hand of Pluto has an ephemeris and Astrology software, too, oh yes it does.

So July 31, 2000's 2NN Eclipse occurred at '7Cancer' which, as you see if you click the image to enlarge, is conj Bush's 12th cusp, and teh Unconscious 12th house is the house of Karma and Self-Undoing, while in Stone's chart '7Can' falls in his 9th house of Philosophy, Higher Education, and the Higher Mind.

The degree of George Bush's natal Ascendant - and the Midheaven of Oliver Stone - WHAT? in Bush's chart, WHY? in Stone's is '8Leo.' This is also the natal degree of Mercury for Bush, the GOP, and for Alberto Gonzales.

So Bush thinks (Mercury) like a Leo, while Stone thinks like a more somber Virgo. Bush's essence (Sun) is self-protective, crabby Cancer (sorry Cancers, but you know Bush!) while Stone's essence is dedicated worker, Virgo...Stone thinks as he is with Sun and Mercury in the same sign.

This is because by Sept 15, Mercury had moved on to 22Vir41 conj Stone's natal Sun, both of which are conj US n Neptune (film; photography; subterfuge; camera tricks; the masses, including mass delusions) - all of which are conj Barack Obama's natal Mars. That's quite a pile-up of planets at 22Vir+ - esp for transiting Saturn to stomp upon at the end of August, 2009.

And both Bush and Stone have the ruthless pair, Saturn and Pluto snugged around this degree...at Bush's Asc, Stone's Mc...'8Leo' = "A Bolshevik Propagandist."

Now Oliver Stone was born during a Moon (publicity) Hour in a Disseminating phase of the Moon (communicator; teacher; propagandist), and Bush was born during an expansive Jupiter Hour during a 1st quarter Moon (which I neglected to note on his chart - 92 degr 56 mins - the 'crisis in action' phase); Bush was born when Pluto was out-of-bounds (oobs), Stone in September when Pluto was back in bounds of the earthly plane and cooperating with the chart's other energies (planets.)

Well, I just wanted to peek at their natal charts since the two men are being compared now because of Stone's bio-pic of Bush (I guess you'd call it a 'bio-pic')...you'll see their midpoint pictures listed with quite a bit of 'pile-up' to them, too, and I can type them out for you later if you want, just let me know if you don't have another source for them, okay? I don't mind, but I'm just a wumped-out puppy at the moment.

Obama-McCain debate ends 10.15.08

Well, tonight's presidential debate between Senators Obama and McCain was the final one of the trio and was held about 5 hours after orator Mercury turned Direct.

If you're interested, I've made some comments and added a bit of the dialogue from the Tavis Smiley Program which went on air just after the debate ended at 10:31 pm edt. You'll find a reference to my previous post on tongiht's debate which has more astrological comments to it so when you arrive, just scroll down a smidge if you like.

Then there's the political excitement tomorrow night - will John McCain show up to be on Dave Letterman's Show as promised after blowing Dave off two weeks ago for Katie Couric? Dave's discussing it as I type so the excitement is palpable, and you know I'll be watching.

"He'll be here tomorrow and he's got a lot of explaining to do," quips Dave. But now Dave's not expecting McCain to bring Sarah Palin. Dave doesn't think Miss Alaska will be there.

Yes, the road to the White House goes right through Dave, as he's fond of saying, since McCain announced his candidacy (this one) on Dave's show.

Oh funny Dave! He just had a split screen between himself and Hank Paulson to "ask questions" of Secretary Paulson...who keeps blinking in that trance-like way he has. Of course, they're looping the tape - and Hank isn't "answering" any of Dave's "questions" as if he doesn't hear him.

But Paulson's droopy frown stays perfectly in place, so there is that. Even when he's unlooped he looks to be in some kind of trance. Perhaps he should get looped more often.

Moon buckets and Saturn bowls

John Townley over at AstroCocktail has some interesting insights on that rollercoaster feeling of two-week shifts we're all experiencing between the economy, the campaign, and more.

Naturally, if you say the words two-week cycle it reminds any astrologer of the Moon's orbit.

Well, expert astrologer John Townley knows much about celestial bowl patterns and how they affect the environment, so check it out because the world's current 'groundswell' feeling is part of the celestial 'As Above, So Below' action now as the Moon moves within the bowl - the edges of which are created by the Saturn-Uranus opposition - and then spills out of the bowl...slosh!

As you know, the Saturn-Uranus opposition perfects on November 4.

All this sloshing reminds me of the ocean's tides which are controlled by the Moon, and one of the words associated with the Moon in an Astrology chart is: fluctuation, a term we hear a lot in financial markets. Mmm-hmm...cycles.

So we may be feeling a bit seasick with half the sky full of planets sloshing about during the weekend of Oct 25-26, and John says it will remain that way until after the Nov 4 elections.

On into 2009 things will be sloshing off and on so hold onto your lifejacket, if you have one. And if you don't, at least Astrology can give you the timing to be aware of for best results!

What would George Bush do?

The Shadow Factory by James Bamford

At the moment I'm listening to Terry Gross interviewing James Bamford about his new book, The Shadow Factory which chronicles the NSA and the Bush-Cheney administration's circumventing the lawful FISA to spy on American citizens without warrants, so I searched this blog for previous Michael Hayden posts.

One entry on Hayden is from Dec 11, 2007 - the day of the Great Conjunction of Jupiter (the Republican) and Pluto (the spy) when Hayden took a meeting on Capitol Hill. Plus, the post contains a link to Hayden's natal chart (sunrise - birth time unknown) and was written within echo of the mysterious gunshots in the Rayburn Building where William Jefferson's FBI freezer raid was conducted a few nights prior.

You'll find that Hayden's natal planets are placed around the chart of his confirmation to the directorship of the NSA in 2006.

Journalist James Bamford has been writing about the NSA for 30 years (his first book about the agency was published in 1982) and he has some interesting new info about the subject.

And you've heard recently of two whistleblowers who worked at the NSA center in Augusta, GA spying on Americans' pillowtalk conversations and more.

The Shadow Factory covers these whistleblowers' accusations as well as giving us pre-9/11 facts about FISA, al-Qaeda, and the invasions of privacy we've all become accustomed to thanks to the cooperation of telecoms everywhere and their complicity in political spying on journalists, members of our military, and others. That there does not exist a 'political enemies' list a la J. Edgar Hoover, Nixon, and others is impossible for me to believe considering this White House.

In today's interview, however, Bamford gives props again to Quest who refused from the start to spy on its customers.

The upshot is that collecting everything makes finding real intell more difficult due to the sheer volume of communications....makes it more expensive and a waste of time. And US analysts don't even speak al-Qaeda's language!

Bamford says that the government has software that can ignore your Aunt Granny Fanny's calls to her bookie - but Cheney doesn't want to. (I'm the one saying 'Cheney' but why he's so interested in your Aunt Granny Fanny, I do not know.)

Tuesday's Full Moon over Washington 10.14.08

Tuesday's Aries Full Moon is the culmination of things begun at the New Moon two weeks ago and relates to relationships - it's on the Aries-Libra partnership axis, plus, Full Moons always relate on some level to relationships no matter the sign.

Economically speaking, 'Bailout 2.0' is supposedly an improvement over Bailout 1.0 and perhaps it will be with Mercury, planet of negotiations and agreements, going Direct at last.

Still, this astrologer could wish that Mercury would leave his shadow period before the big celebrations begin - and that won't be until around Halloween when Mercury moves beyond his retrogradation degree - 22Lib49 of Sept 24 - which conjuncts this Full Moon. Or you might say that this Full Moon is 'pointing' to or highlighting the end of Oct-early November.


Therefore, it's after October when I will be looking for real improvements concerning negotiations, contracts, agreements, congressional bills, and all the things that Mercury is fond of, including voting ballots.

In searching this blog for references to the Bretton Woods Treaty (which established the World Bank) I discovered a small mention in my post on the day of the mysterious fire in the VP's office of Dec 19, 2007...remember?

Inauguration 2001's Chiron-Moon-Pluto

Inauguration 2001, 12:01 pm est, Capitol Building, Washington, DC of George W, Bush showing 8th house of Shared Resources, credit and creditors, debt and debtors, insurance, investment bankers, undertakers and coroners, wills, legacies, psychological therapists, sex, occult studies, dreams, paths of evolutionary growth, death, and other crises of transformation.

In the 8th house of Bush's presidency which began Jan 2001, we see a triple threat - Pluto, the Dragon who guards the riches, and the saboteur; Moon (the people; fluctuations/changes; publicity); and Chiron (wounding; healing.) That this trio indicates deep, unsettling, and transforming emotions is obvious if you've been awake these last eight years.

Now interpretations of Moon conj Chiron, Moon conj Pluto, and Chiron conj Pluto are worth considering, along with the fact that the 8th house's cusp 12Sag42 = America's natal Ascendant in the commonly used Sibly chart.

'12Sag' also happens to be the meet-up degree (11Sag+) of Pluto and Chiron, the plutocracy pair of oppression, primal violence, racism, corporatism, fascism, communism, and class warfare, conj on Dec 30, 1999. They were in parallel mid-August, 2004.

If you doubt Pluto-Chiron's influence, you don't have far to look in the environment of America and the rest of the world - indeed, you'd have a difficult time missing the evidence of plutocratic influence!

The Inaugural 2001 2/8 house cusps are also Pluto-Saturn's opposition positions on the morning of 9/11/01. The current financial meltdown stems from 9/11 which is rippling still in spite of all the shopping on credit we were encouraged to do for our country's sake...which only made things worse for us NOW. "Take out a second mortgage and spend the money for fun stuff," the Bush administration advised. Puh!

So after eight long years, 8th house matters of the Bush presidency ARE America during his term/s - our nation's identity (1st house of Self) = Bush's legacy of debt and traumatic transformations of credit defaults, investment bank reorganizations and mergers, public pension fund dissolutions, deficit spending, nationalizing private liabilities, and our financial system as whole.

Am I overstating a president's ability to affect the economy? With Bush43 it doesn't seem so to me as flames of economic crisis lick at America's heels under his watch. If Bush and his cronies didn't know, they should have. But perhaps you disagree.

Millions of American families turned out into the streets is the result of the Bush presidency's cynically named Ownership Society. Economic meltdown ends his presidency, 9/11 began it - the worst president in US history has earned Herbert Hoover's ghost haunting him down White House halls in the dead of night, even at 3:00 am. And if Hoover's ghost follows him to the Bush family compound in Paraguay, it's well-deserved.

~And one note of interest is this: in the chart of FDR's signing of the war declaration of Dec 8, 1941 (4:00 pm est; Washington DC) in response to Pearl Harbor which was or was not a set-up to rile the American people enough to justify our entering WWII - Pluto, Moon, and Chiron are conjunct in Leo, a Fire sign just as Sagittarius is a Fire sign.

Others have noted the similarity of 9/11's riling of the people as a way to mobilize the US military into invading the oil-rich Middle East - with our vengeful blessing due to 9/11. History may repeat on its own, of course, but there are those who look back for clues on how to advance their plans in the here-and-now - which would make the attacks of 9/11 a false flag op. You may disagree.

So you see on the chart that I've highlighted two interlacing YODs (Finger of God pattern = special task or purpose; crisis; turning point) but one must accept North Node and Ascendant as credible points in both YODs for them to be counted - and I do, because of the gravity of the events during the Bush presidency.

You know that Bush admitted that his job was to "catapult the propaganda" and we see the results of his political monkeyshines as he used his natal 1st house Mercury-Pluto conjunction to good effect early on (Mercury-Pluto = 'the ability to persuade; communicating and demanding new perspectives' (Tyl), but after his lies, today's market meltdown isn't being helped by Bush's platitudes...he's the wolf-crying boy and no one believes his bubble-think. Some of us never did.

The Pluto-Moon-Chiron trio in 8th house also represents Bush's campaign to privatize our Social Security system and hand the profits to Wall Street, as I know you remember. He got little traction on that scheme and it's a good thing it was resisted, as anyone would now agree. Billions are being handed to Wall Street anyway, as it turns out. He got his way by hook or crook.

That the Pentagon's war spending and LOSS of billions of taxpayers' dollars down the rabbithole (see chart for Sun-Moon Image for Integration a la Lewis Carroll) is esp indicated in one of the YODs because 2001's North Node (NN) 15Can32 is pointing to the *Pentagon's natal Ascendant.

Alan Oken says Moon conj Pluto gives rise to sudden panic, emotional outbursts; hysteria from ungrounded fears may result. So calm down, everyone. (I said that.)

Pluto conj Chiron: well, you know how I feel about this conjunction of corporatism, nationalism, fascism, and other isms.
Clow says this conj is very strong and is an evolutionary vortex, and that the house position defines the nature of the transmutive force.

Nolle says its an appr 60-year cycle which has to do with mass currents of consciousness - the collective unconscious, the racial, cellular, molecular, atomic, and subatomic levels of reality.

We remember post-9/11 Cheney's and Rice's fearmongering 'mushroom cloud' and 'dirty bomb' rhetoric to keep us in check and on their 'team' for as long as it worked.

~Now I don't mean that these abominations are not possibilities, but that they were used against us in a propagandistic way. And a bin Laden video or 'capturing' as October Surprise is still possible in time for November 2008 elections...the GOP-ers are desperate because they are discredited and passe.

So one of the YODs has NN at apex -> Mercury-Pluto = NN: being recognized for communication and persuasion skills; the desire to be spokesperson for the community; intellectual domination. (Tyl; Ebertin.)

The other YOD has Pluto as apex planet -> NN/ASC = Pluto: strange or fated associations; power plays with oothers for personal advancement.

Now I know that some astrologers say that only planets make a YOD, but I leave it to you as to whether the two midpoint pictures have meaning to the subject and whether the crisis flavor of YOD patterns applies.

Bil Tierney, in his Dynamics of Aspect Analysis, says that an apex Pluto in a YOD configuration indicates one whose extreme perspectives are out-of-tune with the environment; momentous circumstances must be accepted; past patterns must die in order to be advantageously transformed; vulnerabilities must be purged ('toxic debt'); he has organizational control over super-structures of society; apex Pluto's appointed role is to be an agent - he ushers in the new order of things to come and thus revolutionizes the world concept.

This apex Pluto makes futile attempts to coerce and manipulate others, or is openly defiant in undermining existing authority at any cost.

(Interesting that J.P. Morgan has an apex Pluto in a YOD pattern in his natal chart.)

Another midpoint picture whic defines the Bush presidency quite well is the 10th house Sun-Neptune = Mercury: deceptions; illusions; self-deception; fear from lack of resourcefulness; false logic; speech defect.

~As previously noted, Neptune 6AQ03 is at the Medina degree and as such represents an approximate Neptune Return for Islam...near the Sun, the leader in a national chart, and as such representing George Bush.

Well, that's my look back in anger at the Bush presidency which will be ending, it is hoped, on Jan 20, 2009. The 8th house Pluto-Chiron = Moon has done its dirty work and we see the Bush administration ending with a whimper as America droops into 2009.

Now here's the one word I purposefully left for last concerning the 8th house trio and its undermining financial implications of fraud, greed, and corruption...regeneration. America has a hard row to hoe for the next few years, but we've been here before and we can regenerate by pulling together. Chiron in 8th house also indicates the healing we clearly need yet the healing must be on a genuine spiritual level in order to last.

Who knows? With Chiron now traveling in company with spiritual Neptune, perhaps a spirit similar to the post-9/11 solidarity we felt will light again upon our noggins and a grassroots movement toward refurbishing our nation's finances will result in job creation, hard work, and a return to living within one's means...in the real world and not just on paper!

Bushes' 'new world order' hits snag

Bushes' 'New World Order' Is Yielding to 'Post-American' Era by James G. Neuger makes a case for Chinese and Russian supremacy over the seriously undermined U.S. of A. and Neuger makes excellent points, yet I'm not so quick to buy all of it hook, line, and sinker.

In my 'new world order' reading there is a certain list telling which entities will be the eventual leaders in hierarchical order and if it's to be believed, America is not and never was, slated to be top of the heap in the one-world-government endeavor. Well, as I've groused on this blog and elsewhere, it's easy to say things like: Bush is a failure, and Iraq is a quagmire, etc...unless you agree that things, as Cheney and Rummy always said, are going well, thanks. For neocon purposes, perhaps they are! And they weren't just saying it, they were admitting it.

The lousy occurrences under Bush43's presidential terms, in all their gross splendor, have certainly contributed to the looting of America's resources and have decimated an entire generation of our youngest and brightest. It's difficult to ignore that population control is on the agenda in many regions of the world. You are expendable as am I.

Successfully Invading Scene One

So for any of this to be the case, you must accept that Bush-Cheney have been telling the truth all along, and that most of their so-called ineptitude is actually well-scripted orders being successfully followed and executed.

'Taking the heat' is easy to bear as long as no one will be removing you from the White House or arresting you, no matter what you do or how callously you do it...or in such cases as Hurricane Katrina "rescue," how you don't do it knowing that you'll pay little if any price for your sorriness toward your fellow man.

That raiding archaeological relics of inestimable value was part of the invasion-of-the-Holy-Land scheme seems obvious to me for secret scrolls and manuscripts are craved by such "elite" powermongers who will be rewarded for their services to a larger cause.

What they were really looking for I don't pretend to know. Perhaps YOU have an idea? Control of Iraq's oil is a duh, but there was more, including breaking up a black market in oil.

Yet even if you buy none of this conspiracy crapola you must admit that the same results have acrued - the US has squandered her role of supremacy, our nation's wealth has been redistributed away from we-the-people, and the party is all but over.

The ship has listed badly under the Bush-Clinton dynasties and safe haven is no longer in sight...our options are limited, m'peops, and we will not be passing on to future generations anything like the America we once knew and loved.

Sad to say, if Barack Obama has any possibility of restoring our nation back to her former glory - or some semblance of it - the world syndicate of powermongers will see to it that he is not successful in any meaningful way. His chance of staying in office will be to cooperate with them, tentacles and all.

If McCain nabs the Oval Office, his indebtedness will be plain to see, plus, he'll topple easily if/when necessary...which will leave Palin "in charge" and she will be an indebted pawn and a half, won't she?

Yes, these people play for keeps. And America will fulfill her prescribed role when she takes her place down the list of leading nations in the new world order regime.

Thanks to my association with Gather.com I have an astrology friend, Resti Santiago, who practices as a financial astrologer and authors a blog with a refreshing world view which may be of interest to you.

Based in the Philipines, Resti uses Financial Astrology to discuss economic topics such as gold, equity, oil, and the currency market.
Having just read his last several articles I may confidently recommend them to you.

On Oct 7 Resti wrote about the soaring demand for gold coins and how US and Canadian mints have run out. In fact, the US Mint has stopped their production and will not mint them through the rest of 2008. Resti provides useful links within each article for further reading.

Recent birthday boy (Sept 29), Austrian economist and anti-Keynesian, Ludwig Von Mises, is discussed as well along with Resti's valuable insights concerning America's Bailout scheme and its lack of 'bounce' with world markets.

Pakistan an acronym yet more

With our historic and much-maligned lack of knowledge of other places, most Americans know little of Pakistan which is so much in the news today with al-Qaeda in the hills and unauthorized forays by the US military into the region's sovereign territory.

However, 'sovereign territory' may not precisely describe what most people think of as 'Pakistan' for this area of the world is not a real nation but an acronym devised in the 1930s by *Chaudhary Rahmat Ali.

The acronym stands for: Punjab, Afghania, Kashmir, and Indus-Sind, with 'stan' meaning 'land.'

In the Urdu language the resultig acronym means land of the pure; the reason the 'P' comes first is because Pakistan is the property of the Punjabi military caste. This caste loathed Benazir Bhutto because she hailed from Sind so apparently wasn't fit for much.

Too bad for the people of Pakistan because ideas for the common good of any country should be followed no matter their source.

Ahh, the elusive and never-ending War On Terror.

So with Bush's stirring up, the last few years there's been a reorganized, reconstituted al-Qaeda incubating and being protected within the Federally Administered Tribal Regions and the city of Quetta, with the current US administration being foolhardy enough to step right into the quicksand of a centuries-old situation - ancient rivalries best left alone like any ill-advised Middle Eastern foray that should be better thought of before rushing in on fool's errands.

Well, you know that decisions for US Middle Eastern misadventures have never been up to me, of course, but if they were, I'd whole-heartedly follow my mother's sage advice well before the high-handedness of a neocon chicken hawk's druthers:

never go where you're not invited, never stay where you're merely tolerated.

And that, m'peops, would have had the added benefit of keeping Bush43 out of the White House in the first place.

Sen Jim Webb objects to propaganda campaign in Iraq

Senator Jim Webb Urges a Halt to US Propaganda in Iraq by sending Secretary of Defense Robert Gates a letter concerning Bush administration attempts to sway the Iraqi people to the wonderfulness of the US occupation.

Senator Webb also sent a letter to Carl Levin requesting hearings for the 111th Congress' new session (reconvenes Jan 3, 2009) to discuss the DOD "strategic communications programs" which are costing US tax payers $300 million - if indeed that's where all these particular millions are going and if their numbers are reasonably correct.

This is $300 million wasted for certain because who does the DOD think they're foolin'?

And yet we know that most Washington politicians much prefer that fuzzy math we used to hear so much about.

Whether it was love, curiosity, the devil making him do it, or misguided political shenanigans, Kernell will rue September 16, the day he reset Palin's password and publicly outed her emails.

Kucinich on Dems' bailout betrayal

Kucinich on the Democrats' bailout betrayal tells more truth than Biden or Obama want you know about this financial charade we're being scammed by.

And lo and behold they had their way and ignored ours even though we contacted our "reps" 100 to 1 Against the 'bailout bill' for Wall Street.

You know this manufactured 'credit crunch' means that all the mega-liquidity the Fed and Treasury have poured into the system is being hoarded by banks - and by banks that are more like oil companies than most people realize.

So I can't wait to hear during tonight's townhall debate which is hemming and which one is hawing the loudest. Perhaps they'll take turns.

As you know, the Bailout Bill won't fix anything for the middle class but it will continue to undermine all but the topcats.

About the only thing the Robber Baron class is missing in 2008 from their Industrial Revolution Days of yore is their fancy tophats where they can be more easily recognized.

Some jokers will try ANYthing to win so let's keep our eyes peeled and our game on...after all, the Sabian Symbol for 2009's Inaugural Moon (noon, Jan 20) is '30Scorpio' = "A Halloween Jester."

Adriano Carelli gives a symbol for '30Sco' too, it's "A very large-headed snake." I can think of several politicians this would describe although the Moon in a national chart represents the people!

But perhaps such a Moon on such a public day may, on some level, also signify a famous individual of note who represents the people....supposedly our 'stand-in' although things seldom work that way anymore.

Carelli's fills in the picture with "will exert the greatest influence on his neighbors through his mastery of words, which will enable him to hold a nearly irresistible and hypnotic sway over others with the greatest parsimony of sentences" (probably not Joe Biden! more like Obama)...has "wariness, wisdom, and skill in the highest measure, which can be sublimated into the cardinal virtue of prudence, and as easily swerve into ignoble cunning, sneaking toadyism, venemous treacherousness."

Carelli goes to mention debates and one who has "an uncanny knack of shifting any argument onto ground most favorable to himself" (herself = Palin?) and to "let opponents dig their own graves with statements jeopardizing their own case"...this is a "double-tongued trickster," he says.

So there's the trickster - jester element again, so of course we must remember Rovian tricks while hoping that the Democratic ticket will bring some small measure of improvement for what's really the only nag in the race:
