Dear Astrology: Is Donald Trump "the chosen one"?

Astro-Notes: Trump's Unconscious Desires

August 20, 2020: On August 21, 2019, Donald Trump, while speaking to reporters, declared, "I am the chosen one" who "was put here by people." He was referring to his dealings with China but had a few hours earlier tweeted about being the 'king of Israel' and the "Second Coming" of God. While the man's Christ vs anti-Christ status remains a topic of debate, Trump is well known for having a massive ego, and for being a serial liar and con man. But can Natal Astrology account for an expanded self-image of such celestial magnitude?

Now often his misperceptions, deceptions, deceit, loose lips, indiscretion, and odd notions I have put down to his Mercury-Neptune square for many of his personal flaws can be put down to it, along with his Geminian tendency toward duplicity. But it seems to me that daring to cast himself as a messiah figure (out loud in public!) cries out for additional astrological input. What could reflect such ideas about his self-image?

Now you should know that I sometimes awaken from dreams in which Astrology appears, as I did today, and this time the subject was squares. Knowing a little about a certain square in particular which relates to one's self-image and identity I snagged a quick glance at the natal aspects of Donald Trump (June 14, 1946 10:54 am edt - allegedly - Queens or Jamaica, NY). No, Trump wasn't born with a Sun-Neptune square, thought I, but lo and behold what he does have is what I've previously called a "hidden square", an aspect of 256 degrees (or, a 1-2 degree orb), unconscious to be sure. Now for astrologers who use such an aspect (could this be you?), for Trump this falls within the Sun-Neptune square category so here I shall quote from The Astrologers' Handbook (Sakoian and Acker) lest any reader think I'm making this up. Their description will cover romantic and financial tendencies, too, and here I shall add that his father (Sun) didn't provide Donnie with a healthy self-image--it was, in fact, full of error (Neptune):

Sun Square Neptune: "This is the aspect of self-deception par excellence. If the natives are mystically inclined, they often consider themselves the chosen vessels of some Master or Divine Being. This belief is often the result of an unconscious desire for importance.

These persons can be vessels in a pure sense, but only if the rest of the horoscope shows a good mentality, humility, and realistic practicality. A well-developed Mercury and Saturn will do much to offset the negative effects of this square.

Very often peculiar emotional desires and romantic tendencies are indicated which can range from platonic love to the most morbid and debased physical type of sensuality. Secret love affairs and scandal leave confusion in their wake.

The imagination is often overworked and feeds the natives desires to the point where they indulge in self-destructive acts. Severe weaknesses of character can develop, distorting perception of reality. But these difficulties will be manifested only if the rest of the horoscope provides indications of a similar nature.

Usually there is a tendency toward escapism as a means of avoiding individual responsibility and discipline. A well developed Saturn will offset this.

Utmost caution should be exercised to avoid involvement in cults and occult mystical activities of a spurious sort. The motives and character of people who interact with the native emotionally should be carefully and objectively scrutinized.

Unstable and unwise financial speculation should be avoided, since get-rich quick schemes will end in disaster."

Well, there it is. Or there he is. Whether you, dear reader, agree with this description, scoff at the importance of hidden squares, or stubbornly refuse to see Trumpian flaws due to your own idolatry of the man, you may agree or disagree with the above assessment as you wish. However, Trump's Saturn in watery Cancer is weakened by its detriment (opposite Capricorn) and his Mercury in emotional, overly sensitive, self-protective Cancer causes him to look only at facts he wants to see and deny the rest, as well as to consider whatever is done or said within his environment to be directed at himself. And as leader of the 'cult of Trump', backed by hidden people who 'put him here' in the White House, his leanings and tendencies seem clear to me, if not to you, as described, above.

Yes, more aid from his natal Mercury and Saturn would help his Sun-Neptune condition, of course, but I don't consider that to be the case for the poor old fella.

And when we look to the midpoint of his Mercury-Saturn @16Can20, what do we find? Why, his natal Nemesis @16Can40, of course! Trump, at loose ends in the White House, apparently spends hours a day pondering (Mercury-Saturn) divine retribution and retaliation (Nemesis) against his enemies (both real and self-created), doesn't he? Add this to his other personal deficiencies such as natal Mars rising in egotistical Leo - aggressively opposing US natal Moon (We The People) - plus, his death-dealing 12th house Mars-Saturn = Pluto midpoint picture, and disaster appears atop our mutual menu with alarming frequency.

August 24, 2020 Louis DeJoy to Defend USPS Sabotage

Expectations for a Controversial Proceeding

August 18, 2020: By now everyone has heard that US Postal Service saboteur Louis DeJoy has agreed to testify before the House Oversight and Reform Committee on Monday August 24, 2020 which happens to be the opening day of the Republican National Convention this year. Enshrined within the US Constitution, Americans are taking the sabotage of the USPS (which therefore amounts to an undermining of our Constitution) very badly indeed. Even a few Republicans have given what may be only lip service to the outrageousness of Trump's USPS assault which threatens to further break down the fabric of society.

Astrologically, several planetary aspects form on the 24th but the 'star of the show' must be the Mars-Saturn square which perfects at 2:19 pm edt and imprints its difficult energies upon the day's events. That Mr. DeJoy is a large donor to Trump and to the RNC serves to spotlight his sabotage of the USPS as a selfish, corrupt pursuit of greed and profit as well as his soul-less attempt to keep career-criminal Trump in power.

Of course, this square is part of the current Mars-Saturn cycle which began with their conjunction on March 31, 2020 @00AQ29 (2:31 pm edt) - conjunct US Inaugural Sun (Trump). This created a midpoint picture of a POTUS (Sun) 'breaking down under stress' and who 'could not meet all demands or master all situations'. An illness-and-death factor was added as well so naturally we think of the expanding corona virus contagion and Trump's selfish attempt to ignore its overwhelming implications for him personally.

March Leads to August

So now, with both malevolent planets strong in their own signs (Aries-Capricorn: Cardinal and initiating), the obstacle-laden square between them threatens harsh, angry, even dangerous proceedings. A callous atmosphere will be on display between DeJoy and his questioners (Mars vs Saturn) who obviously won't be getting along very well during his proposed testimony especially with sharp questions from Rep. Katy Porter. Hers may be what we all want to hear DeJoy answer or try to evade! Expectably, sullen anger may be shown by someone on Monday and I'm going to take a not-so-wild guess and say that this would be Mr. DeJoy whose actions and motives (Mars) are under scrutiny (Saturn: authority, lawmakers, the law, lawyers in Congress). For as you know, the distrustful, dishonest Mars-Saturn duo signifies destructive, harmful energies which DeJoy has demonstrably perpetrated against our much beloved US Postal Service (serving us brilliantly since 1775!).

Plus, if it occurs, "postmaster general" DeJoy's appearance on Capitol Hill on Monday will spotlight a test of wills between Trump comrade DeJoy (with his own financial fish to fry) vs House Democrats. Actually, Trump's strong, often irrational will is one of the targets of the show, isn't it? That, and the Trump-DeJoy determination to sabotage the 2020 Election by preventing voters from mailing in their ballots (while staying safely at home) which could stage a massive Blue Landslide - a Tsunami - against a potential second term of Trump the mad mobster, born under the brutal death-dealing midpoint picture of Mars-Saturn = Pluto.

Now as you know, Reinhold Ebertin describes Mars-Saturn midpoint as the 'death axis' so we must hope that any death involved on Monday will apply to DeJoy's and Trump's underhanded efforts to destroy the US Postal Service (which would result in the service being privatized, they hope) and not to the USPS itself.

Holding angular sway at the Midheaven of recent US Inauguration Horoscopes (MC: '26/27 Capricorn' conjunct US natal Pluto) we see Saturn Rx @27Capricorn on Monday during DeJoy's House testimony as the taskmaster planet blends his karmic energies with US natal Pluto, always a difficult transit containing 'issues of power and control' and/or 'abuse of power' implications.

As for the August 24th Mars-Saturn square, testy Mars can be a vicious activist, malcontent, and flame-thrower particularly when in Aries but in a flurry of hope I'm weighting the day's outcome, and pinning my hopes, on Saturn's strength and demand for accountability in governmental Capricorn! Starkly revealing of this crisis, the Mars-Saturn square forms a Thor's Hammer (or, Fist of God) pattern that points toward testifying Mercury @9Virgo in the 9th house of Legal Affairs! Is August 24's Mercury (with his magician's wand) casting a spotlight on Election 2016's and Inauguration 2017's Prenatal Eclipse in the 19 North Saros Series with its themes of 'realism, coming down to earth with a bump, recognizing a situation for what it really is', and 'tackling the truth'? (Brady). You'll remember that 19 North's themes were completely undermined by transit Neptune @9Pisces directly opposing the eclipse, a cosmic condition that has stained the entire term of Trump in the White House with Neptunian fantasy, corruption, fraud, deceit, loss, theft, scandals, and Trump's 24/7 fight against the truth. Can Louis DeJoy successfully defend Trump's inglorious leadership and his constant deceit? Will he try with deceit of his own?

Defend Trump or not, at Winter Solstice 2020, the game-changing Jupiter-Saturn Conjunction, with its 'checks and balances', 'change in government' and 'leniency vs harshness' vibes lands directly upon US Inaugural Sun (00AQ+) which suggests a 'new order' that requires fresh and competent leadership full of innovative ideas and plans for solving America's old problems. And for handling solutions for our future problems and difficulties.

Louis DeJoy June 20, 1957 Brooklyn, NY (no hour known) with Sun in late Gemini, Moon in either Pisces or Aries, Mercury in mid-Gemini, Jupiter @23Virgo (conjunct US natal Neptune), and Saturn, planet of accountability, retrograde @9Sagittarius conjunct warring Antares. Perhaps his temper will flare! But without a timed natal chart, what interests me most about DeJoy are the themes of his 13 South Prenatal Eclipse ('PE') which manifested on April 19, 1957 @8Tau22 (now being activated off and on by transit Uranus!) Paraphrasing Brady, 13 South themes are: 'expansive energy under which lies a more sinister flavor; the urge to expand contains frustration, inhibitions, loss, or separation; striving for group endeavors positively or negatively', and may involve issues of 'constitutional crisis' (USPS enshrined!).

So it will be engaging on Monday August 24, 2020, to see if the sinister energies within the activities of Trump and DeJoy, as they attempt to continue undermining the US Constitution while destroying our right to vote, are expressed by Mercury the Messenger testifying while in its own sign of discriminating Virgo, sign of The Critic. Especially since DeJoy's natal Pluto conjuncts royal Regulus and thus powerfully connects with Trump's natal Ascendant and ropes in Donnie's rising Mars. And should we add that August 24th is the day of DeJoy's 2020 Venus Return (16Cancer+) which happens to conjunct the natal Nemesis of Donald Trump?

p.s. Confession: I'm not sure which of these two sidewinding varmints is the larger underworld figure!

As you've heard, upheaval is occurring in Belarus over fake election results so with Belarus in the news, I'm adding for current or future reference the two sets of data for the founding of Belarus published in Nicholas Campion's The Book of World Horoscopes. Two horoscopes for Belarus ("White Russia") are provided:

Chart #025: "Belarus - Communist" August 1, 1920 12:00 EET (no exact hour known) Minsk, Russia; Sun conjunct Neptune in Leo, Moon @25AQ11; Mercury, Venus, and Jupiter also in Leo; Saturn @10Vir27 opposes Uranus Rx @4Pis41 ('old order vs new order').

Chart #026: "Belarus - Independence" August 25, 1991 18:00 GMT Minsk, Russia ("independence proclaimed between 14.54 GMT and 18.03 GMT"); early Virgo Sun, Moon @6Pis17; triple Leo conjunction of Mercury-Jupiter-Venus with Mercury and Venus both Rx; Saturn Rx @1AQ27; Uranus Rx @10Cap05 conjunct Neptune Rx @14Cap15 (the 'new world order'/"Enlightenment" pair).

The Prenatal Solar Eclipse Saros Series ('PE') under which Belarus declared its independence from the USSR is the 11 South which perfected on July 11, 1991 @19Cancer. Notably, this 11 South of 1991 is also the PE of GHW Bush Sr's creepy 'new world order' speech he delivered to the US Congress on September 11, 1991 touting the globalist Utopian agenda, so long-planned, as a "big idea." You'll note the sinister "9/11" pre-echo.

So to me, spokesman Bush's "big idea" sounds much like the major clue that wafted from the midpoint picture formed by transit Pluto in 2017, the very year Trump pretended to take the Oath of Office and swore his (elusive) allegiance to the US - the year when creepy saboteur Pluto hit the degree of 1993's Uranus-Neptune Conjunction/s @18Capricorn: "The big picture commands a certain course of action which must be followed; very little option to do otherwise" (Tyl).

And the Sabian Symbol for "18Capricorn"? "Smug or strong-armed paternalism." (Jones). Dane Rudhyar gives the degree a revealing picture of "The Union Jack Flag Flies from a British Warship"; he adds, "POLITICAL POWER, its values and its dangers."

Other than perhaps 11 South's themes listed below, I have no insights whatsoever into how Belarus and its current turmoil and violence might play into the Utopian "big picture" which is clearly on someone's radical agenda. Therefore, observers such as myself must wait and watch despite the distractions in the US being play-acted by figurehead Trump whose entry onto the World Stage may seem like a detour on the road to a 'new world order' but whose White House tenure of disruption, chaos, corruption, lawlessness, and anti-constitutionalism may be just what the globalists ordered from the start. Because Democracy and old-fashioned nation-states do get in their way.

So let's close with the themes of 11 South: "the need to make sudden reforms; old ideas and methods fail and new systems are required to deal with events; people will need to think of new ways of handling issues; any blocks could be violently or tragically removed" (paraphrasing Brady's Predictive Astrology). Obviously, when it comes to 11 South eclipses, turbulent proceedings are part of the cosmic picture.

And for the sake of historical comparison, the years in which an 11 South Solar Eclipse manifested are 1901, 1919, 1937, 1955, 1973, (1991), 2009 (@29Cap27), 2027, 2045. Oh and by the way: 11 South is the PE series of the American Revolution with its Total Eclipse clocking in @11Pis11!

Uranus-Pluto 1966 with Bucket Handle Saturn in Pisces

Troubles by the Bucket: 1966, 2015, and 2020

During the presidency of Lyndon Baines Johnson ('LBJ') came the three Great Conjunctions of Uranus and Pluto in mid-Virgo: 1. October 9, 1965 @17Vir09; 2. April 4, 1966 @16Vir28; and 3. June 30, 1966 @16Vir06. Below is the June 30, 1966 horoscope set for Washington DC with many messy study notes penned on for the daring to read if they so wish:

1966 vs 2020: Upheavals vs Upheavals

There are multiple places in this chart where Trump figures into the equation, one of which is karmic Saturn @29Pis35 (10th house) conjunct Scheat, star of misfortune (suicide, murder), which was activated by the Summer Solstice 2015 Eclipse and in part resulted in Trump's 'escalator ride' to deliver his 2015 'Prez Bid' announcement the morning of a Gemini New Moon. Yes, his disturbing announcement occurred under the influence of the 17 South Saros Series which imprints upon his 'prez bid' and upon what turned out to be his 'presidency' involving the 17 South themes of 'sudden success/good news concerning groups or relationships'. We may wish to note that 17 South can have positive or negative effects and is the Prenatal Eclipse series ('PE') of notables such as Adolf Hitler, Ayn Rand, Rachel Carson, Princess Diana (her birth and tragic death!), Newt Gingrich, and Barack Obama.

Eclipses: Uranian Wild Cards and Cosmic Blinks from Above

However! 17 South is not the PE of this 1966 Uranus-Pluto Conjunction, 4 North is! Because prior to the June 30th conjunction, a 4 North Eclipse manifested on May 20, 1966 @28Tau55 (spotlighted in red, 11th house near the NN-Algol conjunction) among the stars of the Pleiades constellation. And considering America's current conditions of upheaval, protests, revolt, violence, riots that bring changes in government, and civil rights demonstrations, it seems significant to me that the Uranus-Pluto Conjunctions of the mid-1960s are now triggered or activated via opposition from the transiting midpoint of Uranus-and-Pluto in mid-Pisces (@16Pis51 as I type).

Other cosmic factors are involved, of course, such as the harsh conjunction of karmic Saturn and Pluto on January 12, 2020 which imprinted the duo's compressed, toilsome energies upon the year 2020. As a planetary pair, Saturn-Pluto can also represent 'deeply researching scientists, violent people, reactionaries, and mass murderers' (Ebertin) - all of which sounds to me like events and people of 2020 so far including the pandemic, rioting in the streets, violent acts and the threat of them, political conflicts, and the cruelty of a leadership that cares nothing for its people.

Yet another chart factor stands out and cosmically links events and conditions of 1966 with 2020: currently we're again influenced by a 4 North Solar Eclipse which recently perfected at Summer Solstice 2020 @00Can21, a Cardinal World Point of Manifestation. And as you know, History tends to rhyme so it's no wonder that we are dealing once again with 4 North themes of 'restraint, restriction, separation, illusions' and more. Note that 4 North solar eclipses occurred in the years 1912, 1930, 1948, (1966), 1984, and 2002 and relate to restrictive or separative events and/or illusions operable during those years. See the center of the horoscope for a few events of 1966. You may also wish to note the Sabian Symbol of the rising Jupiter ('12 Cancer' = "A Chinese Woman Nursing a Baby With a Message") and the fact that opposing expansive Jupiter is health asteroid Aesculapia. Plus, 2020's Capricorn stellium of planets cluster around 1966's Saturn-Neptune midpoint @24Cap37 which is the "illness axis" (Ebertin) - and the 8th cusp of this chart with US natal Pluto upon it. Saturn-Neptune = Pluto: a serious illness (Ebertin).

Donald Trump June 14, 1946 10:54 am edt Queens (or Jamaica) New York; Sun Gemini-Moon Sagittarius = "The Pied Piper" (Sun Sign-Moon Sign, Charles and Suzi Harvey).

Other cosmic links are more obvious than the eclipse connection: Trump's natal Mercury (8Can51--the mouthpiece) rises in this Uranus-Pluto 1966 chart along with the Sun (8Can09) and fixed star Alhena (to have a mission), plus, 1966's North Node of future direction (24Tau43 in 11th house) points toward the nasty star of fury and destruction, Algol, which twinkles upon Trump's natal Midheaven ('MC': his Goal). Algol always implicates the malevolent stare of vicious Medusa. (With Trump I tend to think of this as the raptor's stare! Tragically, We the People are in the raptor's direct line of sight with his aggressive, vengeful Mars opposing US natal Moon.)

Now there are many more chart factors worth noting (leave your on-topic comments if you wish!) but let's close with only a bigly one:

Now you know that grim reaper Saturn is aka, the old man or senex, right? Dr. Liz Greene calls him 'the old devil' and I would never disagree with that assessment. Saturn represents authority and authority figures, accountability, responsibility, maturity, seniority, old age, the past, concentration, hard work, the taskmaster, lesson-bringer, solidity, consolidation, soberness, modesty, shyness, flaws, conservation, preservation, studiousness, reserve, economy, loss, learning from experience, borders, walls, bones, skeletons, teeth, cells, systems and structures, soil, tectonic plates, the Earth, inertia - the list goes on, as you know. In the chart above, earthy Saturn is placed in watery Pisces ('a struggle with opponents') and acts as the handle of a Bucket pattern. This handle is similar to the lead planet of a Locomotive shape (ruthlessly determined toward success; a high-powered executive) of planets. Plus, Bucket handle Saturn here is at a critical-crisis 29th degree, straining toward the Aries Point.

Now as you know, a Bucket is a Bowl with a handle, hemispheric emphasis is important, and the handle planet acts as "an important direction of interest" but doesn't change the fact that a Bowl denotes a dedicated cause or mission. With a handle planet, it's more a question of "adapting allegiances to lines along which efforts count for the most" (Jones). This Saturn represents either the "instructor or inspirer of others" or the zealous "agitator and malcontent". So - what's in it for him? Well, I'll let you decide who might be fulfilling the role of 1966 Saturn in 2020, if anyone, and with the violent energies of Uranus-Pluto stirred up and expressing online and in the streets.

Yes once again, as in 1966 during the Vietnam War, deferral-lovin' Trump is "a soldier derelict in his duty" as he mishandles the Covid-19 catastrophe, takes no responsibility, and hundreds of thousands of Americans suffer and die. And instead of calming riots in the streets of America, he promotes them! To me it seems as if a lot of "misjudging strength or the situation" is going on in Washington DC (another 4 North influence) under figurehead Trump.

Meanwhile, we should probably add that the Moon-Venus opposition across the 6/12 victim-savior axis forms the rim of the Bowl (with Moon conjunct war-like Antares!) which handle Saturn, the authority figure, has hold of. Besides the suggestion of maladjusted relationships within this opposition, Moon-Venus in Politics and Business suggests potentials for "manufacturing and agricultural productivity and how it affects the overall wealth and well-being of the people" and "how a country preserves the heritage, customs, lifestyle, and culture of native people" and "esteem for minority groups" (Munkasey). Under the Trump regime, I'd have to say, lack of esteem for minorities, anti-preservation attitudes for cultural sites and customs, and little if any sense of well-being for everyone.

Because after all, authoritative Saturn rules government, law, business, and tradition, but with Trump's natal Saturn in the watery, tribal, nationalistic, emotional sign of Cancer, his tendencies toward discontent, fantasy when realism is called for, and egotistical hypersensitivity constantly interfere with the possibility that he is able to exhibit any real leadership so that his complete lack of respect for rules, laws, and traditions makes him merely a corrupt scofflaw president if he's any kind of president at all.

Troubles by the bucket? Yeah, we've got 'em.

A Revised Look at RNC 2020 and the Moon

Virtual Political Conventions 2020! Trump Accepts the Nomination

A while back (pre-Covid-19) I posted two horoscopes showing the first days that DNC 2020 and RNC 2020 opened their conventions in Milwaukee, WI and Charlotte, NC respectively. Obviously the July DNC chart is now moot since their 2020 convention opens Monday August 17 and runs until Thursday August 20th with a New Moon @26Leo35 on Tuesday (10:42 pm edt) conjunct Trump's natal Mars (rising). Should we expect that Trump's actions (Mars) and tendencies toward retaliation and aggression (his Mars rising opposite US natal Moon, We the People) will be mentioned? Yes, I think so.

Now perhaps the RNC chart I posted for August 24, 2020 is moot as well, however, RNC 2020 is scheduled to open on that date with Trump accepting his party's nomination (if nothing changes) on Thursday August 27, 2020. Note that both conventions occur under the auspices of the Summer Solstice 2020 Eclipse themes of restraint, restrictions, separation (virtual! social distancing! logistics!), and illusions (politics!). Beaming In to RNC 2020: So if we look at Thursday August 27, 2020, we find no lunations perfecting as during the DNC but we do find a few interesting aspects made by the fluctuating Moon which represents the public, the public mood, and publicity in mundane charts. As for the convention's beginning (which shows how it will end!) let's add that RNC 2020 begins August 24th with an excitement-craving Moon-Uranus opposition at 12:00 am edt suggesting potentials for strong anti-social feelings (and not just because of Covid-19 social distancing!), unusual or difficult people turning up, hidden or even occult interests, and/or a tendency to misjudge other people and their relationships. Path of the Moon August 27th: RNC 2020

8:00 am edt: Moon in Sag trines Mars in Aries (an echo of Trump's natal Moon-Mars trine) denoting self-confidence, courage, and a talent for easily recognizing and grasping opportunities--traits he's used in the past (SN). Karmically speaking, both Moon and Mars are in Nodal Degree (26). Yet Luna's conjunction with her own transiting South Node indicates such things as bad timing and/or lack of popularity especially among women for it contains a depressive, oppressive Moon-Saturn tinge which, on the positive side, may also denote ambition and strategy. Opposing Moon-SN in Trump's natal chart, of course, is his Sun-North-Node conjunction along with his radical Uranus (his chaotic guiding planet) so that his natal Sun Gemini-Moon Sagittarius personality blend is spotlighted--that of "The Pied Piper" (the Harveys's "Image for Integration"). And that he certainly is. For some percentage of Americans, at least. Such folk may wish to consider how that ancient tale ended because parents lost their children, thanks to the Pied Piper.

Meanwhile, after her trine with Mars, Luna goes Void Of Course (so that nothing can interfere with the proceedings - or, there could be unexpected outcomes) making no more aspects from Sagittarius until she enters Capricorn at 1:37 pm, from whence she will proceed to engage. Mood-wise, a Sag Moon suggests a Jupiterian flavor to RNC 2020, even happiness, while a Saturn-ruled Capricorn Moon, not so much. More like Luna takes on a down-to-business tone as RNC 2020 closes and Trump accepts the nomination which is most likely shown by the fact that at 11:09 pm edt, Moon (the public) and Sun (the leader) form a trine (120 degr) signifying a harmonious blending of energies via mutual purpose - to continue implementing Trump's dystopian "American Carnage" vision of an authoritarian nation. Trump and his wealthy backers demand a shift of government and power which will (I predict) not turn out to be the smooth lifestyles and grand improvements his easily-led supporters have been promised by what amounts to a demagoguing snake oil salesman luring America to her collapse.

Please Note: due to the confusion surrounding RNC dates and locations this year there is at least one source giving the RNC opening date as August 21st. Whether a Friday would be the choice of the Republican Party or of Trump, then running through the weekend, I know not but for now I shall leave this post intact, as is. For if the dates herein turn out to be wrong, I don't wanna be right. jc

Trump's 'Prez Bid' Solar Eclipse 17 South conj Scheat

August 13, 2020: Below is another look at the Horoscope of the 17 South Summer Solstice 2015 Solar Eclipse which was Trump's 'Prez Bid' Prenatal Eclipse ('PE'). To me it remains informative in light of Trumpian actions since January 20, 2017 when, in his inaugural address, he forecasted "American Carnage" as we now see via events described by cosmic factors such as the difficult fixed star activated by the 17 South eclipse on that day: Scheat.

Considering the Scheat-ish conditions and catastrophes we're experiencing during Trump's first term playing POTUS (as if the presidency is merely a reality show - in a sense it is but he's not the 'great' thespian he pretends to be!), major warnings would have been possible had we only known on the morning that he and Melania descended upon the Trump Tower escalator in NYC to the paid audience of acting extras below. Some astrologers warned about him as did NY residents who knew him and his crooked ways all to well but monied powers were determined to shove him into the White House to 'lead' the sabotage of America.

So in the 2015 eclipse horoscope, below, you see the position of his 'Prez Bid' New Moon (25Gem07) in the 4th house highlighted in an appropriate shade of orange and conjunct the discovery degree of erratic planet of chaos, Uranus (March 13, 1781 NS), and near enough to Trump's natal 10th house Gemini trio of Sun-North-Node-Uranus for him to grasp and use as his 'new cycle of activity/seeding plans' timer:

Now as you know, fixed stars work through eclipses and their potentials can be activated by eclipses. Of course, other planetary factors affect outcomes as well but considering the course of things since Trump coup'd the White House, we've seen him gleefully set about hollowing out the US government, mismanaging a major health crisis, and causing mayhem as he followed the script set for him (along with acting on his rash Uranian notions), deceiving, and insulting and undermining anyone who disagrees with him. Therefore, I must assert that star of misfortune Scheat was been activated at Summer Solstice 2015 and is still holding sway in America, if not across the entire globe.

(Beta Pegasus) Scheat @29Pis34, a critical-crisis 29th degree (conjunct the Aries Point of global events): "unlucky; murder; suicide; drowning; being condemned to death or imprisonment; malevolence of sublime scope; suffering; extreme misfortune" (A. Louis).

Other sources: "if you can successfully navigate the mortal accident that awaits you, Scheat offers a great flow of mental creativity; love of intellect, independent thinking, the challenge of logic" (Brady); "turbulence, unpredictable nature, losing and gaining friends rapidly, and being inclined to fantasize" (Rigor).

Plus, let's add three sympatico natal factors to this tragically malevolent cosmic picture starting with Trump's natal midpoint picture of Mars-Saturn = Pluto (in his natal 12th house; Mars-Saturn is the 'death axis') which we've discussed in multiple SO'W posts: "brutality, the rage or fury of destruction. Intervening of a higher power, bodily injury or harm (murder, death of many people)" (Ebertin).

Meanwhile, here's one rather simple factor: Trump's natal Mars rising opposes US natal Moon in Aquarius - We The People. So although he often uses the tactic of projection and engages in childish name-calling, he is the one who is the enemy of the people. And yes, Mars vs Moon is yet another indication of his rage, fury, aggression, and combativeness - targeting the American people.

And another indication? How about Trump's natal Midheaven @24Tau18 with 'nasty' star Algol twinkling upon the Goal Point ('MC') of his chart? As you know, destructive Algol of Medusa fame screams with rage and so does tyrant Trump! And apparently Algol and Medusa inspire his multiple uses of the word "nasty" to describe any woman (Medusa!) who questions him too closely or gives him a difficult time in any way. His fragile ego hates being what he perceives as emasculated so do you think perhaps his mother once played the Medusa role in his life? Well, he does have deep problems with 'blood streaming from feminine eyes'!

Now in closing, let's add a disturbing yet appropriate cosmic factor that I've mentioned in previous posts: that in Chinese Astrology, Algol's most tragic potential is 'piled up corpses', a current condition that many Americans may now correctly attribute to the actions and the malign neglect of the malevolent Donald Trump and his hand maidens in the Republican Party.

August 12, 2020: Now that 2020 Democratic nominee Joe Biden has named Senator Kamala Harris as his VP choice and running mate, we can be reasonably assured that the October 7, 2020 VP Debate in Salt Lake City, Utah will be between Senator Harris and current VP Pence. If this debate is held, and if these are the two combatants, an interesting cosmic event is forecast: the natal Jupiters of Harris and Pence (1964 vs 1959) precisely oppose one another in the Zodiac - hers @24Tau00 Rx (Earth), his @24Sco40 Rx (Water). And as you undoubtedly realize, their Jupiters conjunct the natal MC-IC axis (24+ Taurus/Scorpio) of Donald Trump whose name and antics are likely to come up during the first, and perhaps the only, VP debate of 2020. Not that we need Astrology to inform us of this!

So during their Jupiterian stand-off we may notice hints of Harris' Jupiter in Taurus ('Venus') traits such as 'liberality, generosity, an urge for financial security' (hopefully extended to the American people!), but also possible are 'streaks of wastefulness and overindulgence in the finer things'. Generally, Jupiter in Taurus is trustworthy and as you know, steady, practical Taurus is a sign of preservation, growth, increase, building, and development.

Meanwhile, traits of Pence's Jupiter in Scorpio ('Mars-Pluto') include 'ruthless striving for possessions, materialism, a tendency to overrate oneself, optimism, a craving for pleasure, and an overly pronounced sexual life (oops! does Mother know? It would seem so since he can't be trusted alone with women). And as you know, sexy Scorpio is a brooding, deep thinking sign of such things as Big Business and occult study.

(To me the Harris-Pence-Jupiter situation seems a curious cosmic echo of the fact that the natal Jupiters of Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Donald Trump also precisely oppose one another across the Aries-Libra axis. So actually, with both Jupiter pairs (Aries-Libra and Taurus-Scorpio), the degree and its Sabian Symbol for each planet is the Illumination Point of the other!)

August 10, 2020: The more despotic, authoritarian, anti-constitutional, anti-humanity, and out of control becomes Herr Spanky Trump the more I think back on the various SO'W posts concerning Hitler and Trump and the rise of Fascism in Germany, in addition to the current crop of white 'supremacists' in America (who coup'd the White House in 2017 as you probably noticed). Today I discovered that a freshly posted ''Timeline World History Documentaries' video (49m33s) has been published to YouTube which may be informative for anyone concerned about the authoritarian direction Trump has and will steer our nation if "re-elected."

Economic collapse creates perfect conditions for the seizing of power along with the purposeful degradation of laws and traditions in society. Trump has worked to degrade and sabotage our nation for almost four years now. And since we know that history so often rhymes through similar events and conditions (and eclipse degrees are sensitized and can be reactivated at some point in time by transit, progression, and/or direction), the fact that certain solar eclipses of 1932 and 1933 will soon repeat along with their forceful 'seizing power' Mars-Pluto themes, suggests that extreme caution is advised over the next three or so years in relation to our current titanic struggle to Keep Our Republic. To me if not to you, keeping our Republic is possible under a Biden administration but would be totally impossible under the yoke of another four years of authoritarian despot Trump.

That 'Republicans' (aka, Trumpians) and their comrades are super-sizing their election sabotage efforts in 2020 is an important feature and a basic imperative of their push toward establishing absolute power (which corrupts absolutely), a totalitarian rise the world has witnessed before. And as everyone knows, not learning from history dooms dumb-heads to repeat it. And this We The People must not do.

The following information is an attempt to make a little sense of which planetary influences will be in operation for Trump along with their potential expressions until at least Winter Solstice 2020 although some September transits may last longer due to retrogradation or other factors that are beyond the limited scope of this post. Also beyond the scope are applicable progressions and directions which curious readers may want to set up for themselves in order to gain a wider perspective:

And I should note that in no way do I crow over any difficulties shown here for him - mainly because Trump now plays the role of POTUS which means that his troubles belong to the American people as long as the Trump regime continues to bedevil us. And ostensibly for some time to come.
