A Republican Revolution and Violence 2022

When the 104th Congress opened on January 3, 1995, Republican Newt Gingrich took the gavel as Speaker of the House in what can be called the Republican Revolution of 1994. With a major sense of frustration, 40 years of Democratic supremacy had to be vanquished by Republicans chaffing at the bit to be the Big Boss of Washington, just as they chafe now.

An excellent overview of events that led up to the Republican take-over and their "Contract On America" (as President Clinton had called it - so do I), plus, more Neptunian intrigue, are now available via Steve Kornacki's 6-episode podcast, The Revolution (MSNBC). How did the bitterness in Washington begin? With power-craving Republican operative Newt Gingrich using his Pied Piper ability which is shared by Donald Tr*mp via their Sun Gemini-Moon Sagittarius personality blends.

Thursday September 9, 2021: So a year ago on Stars Over Washington, what used to be known as the Republican Party (b. 1854) was being re-named with various labels such as the Conspiracy Party and of course they've certainly earned the moniker.

But now in 2021, thanks to Donald Tr*mp's malicious ploys and antics in a desperate bid to regain power, a new au courant re-naming has occurred for they are now known as the Big Lie Party and the group's 1854 Neptune in mid-Pisces must be simply inflating and preening with pride. Why party members are positively bubbling with corruption, fraud, fantasy, pretense, and eagerness to kiss Herr Tr*mp's ring way down in Mar-a-Lago by oceanic Neptune's shores!

For as TV's Moira Rose might put it, GOP-ers seem to bombillate with anticipation!

And then, of course you know which fixed star twinkles mid-Pisces: Achernar, with key phrases that include: success in public office (for those with good morals) but also the risk of rapid endings and crisis at the end of the river. And the descriptive Sabian Symbol for "14 Pisces" (and the Big Lie Party's traditional promoters): "A Lady in FOX Fur" (my BOLD); negative expression: amoral opportunism (Jones). Oh dear! Sounds like a lack of good morals.

Now personally I wouldn't miss their rapid ending at all if such is the fate of the "Republican Party" since they, as an American political entity, don't actually govern the US but instead have opted for a well-paid Neptunian-Plutonian sabotage agenda for our country.

An Alt-Right Court: Moon-Neptune Delusions about Popular Support for Policies

October 26, 2020: This morning as I've watched the US Senate "debate" the confirmation of Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the US Supreme Court (aka, SCOTUS), tonight's vote at an undisclosed hour deserves some measure of scrutiny especially since Judge Barrett's views on important issues have been left tucked away from public view.

Now everyone knows that a Pisces Moon is one of secrecy, vulnerability, supersensitive emotions, impressionability, irritability, and love of seclusion. Judge Barrett's religious views have her under sway of her husband, as you know, so I must wonder if hubby will have a bumper seat underneath the SCOTUS bench. Yes, Barrett is technically qualified to serve, but it's her ideology that concerns and although her recusal from certain cases has been suggested and may resonate with tonight's Pisces Moon, recusals would negate the aims of Trump and the jackbooted GOP.

Now if afflicted, irrational dominance by the unconscious mind is often an issue with a Pisces Moon (suggestible and easily led if firmer planetary factors don't mitigate and break any hypnotic spells) and I don't know about you, dear reader, but I consider tonight's Moon-Neptune Conjunction to be such an affliction which was also shown by the extreme, even subversive, tenor during the recent Barrett senate hearing. And the area of the Zodiac under which tonight's illusive conjunction takes place (10:00 pm edt: Neptune 18Pis27 Rx/MC (The Goal) 17Pis55/Moon 14Pis35 conjunct Achernar, star of crisis) is familiar in recent years as the area where the natal Neptune of the Republican Party (1854) resides (and has had a Neptune Return full of conspiracies, deception, paranoia and, as it turns out, a debilitating pandemic).

Now in Politics and Business, the Moon-Neptune = MC picture suggests notoriety concerning explanations of future options, and/or giving personal guarantees that cannot be fulfilled (paraphrasing Munkasey).

In addition, Moon-Neptune can indicate heeding the opinion and emotional climate of constituents vs an inability to utilize information about the public mood when setting a course of action. Naturally, scandals tend to follow in the wake of the Moon-Neptune pairing of energies which I think relates in part to the ongoing sabotage of America's justice system and other legal institutions, as we've seen, and which will be further undermined by a Barrett confirmation and tenure. And although one might expect sympathy and receptivity from the Moon-Neptune influence (certainly from the Democratic side), the possibility exists of a Justice Barrett acting under strange and peculiar influences instead. Spirituality is implied here, but spirituality can be misguided and Scriptual truths are often taken out of context and twisted for some deceptive end. Evangelical Christians are not the only perpetrators of such spirtual degradation! We should also note that most of the SCOTUS justices are of the Roman Catholic persuasion and with Barrett's seating the lack of balance increases.

Significant as well is Barrett's natal Venus @14Pis45 so another midpoint picture is formed tonight of Moon-Neptune = natal Venus potentials such as: 'odd or perverse inclinations; peculiar and strange tendencies in the expression of love; over-enthusiastic adoration' (Ebertin), and/or 'enjoyment of mystical contacts' (Munkasey). Plus, as noted above, in mid-Pisces Achernar, the star of crisis, 'crisis at the end of the river', and 'risk of rapid endings' is activated tonight as it was by Venus at Barrett's birth.

Adding to Moon-Neptune is another major influence in play tonight which relates directly to Judge Barrett's natal planets (a 'noon' chart is shown for January 28, 1972 New Orleans, LA).

Of course, I refer to the current Mars retrograde period which is providing Amy Coney Barrett with an extended Mars Return 2020 - her natal Mars at or near 21Ari31 and opposing natal Uranus Rx in Libra (@18:18 - conjunct Trump's natal Jupiter identifying their religious and political affiliation). Basically, transit Mars in activist Aries is triggering or activating her natal Mars-Uranus opposition into expression. Her three-fer Mars Return 2020 perfects on or near August 8, October 12, and December 16 - 'on or near' due to the lack of an accurate birth time for her. So let's close with indications for a natal Mars-Uranus opposition especially since it looks as if the American people will be stuck with hers for decades to come. Mars-oppo-Uranus suggests someone who is drawn to reactionary political movements and/or the criminal elements in society. (Hitching her professional star to the corrupt Trump jalopy must have been her dream come true!) Yes, it's revolution for Amy who doesn't mind seeking status in destructive ways. Concerns (or scandals) over corporate resources and joint finances are possible but so far a veil has been cast over them, last I heard. However, this may not remain the case for veils are notoriously thin. And with this particular opposition, adverse actions taken against her are unpredictable and can have disastrous results. In fact, this is an unfavorable period for Barrett to partake in new activities and projects with the potential for quarrels and resentment at a high level. But a Republican steamroller driven by a bruised Mitch 'grim reaper' McConnell is rushing to save Amy's dream by crushing opposition to her urgently sought SCOTUS confirmation.

Meanwhile, her natal Mars-Uranus tendencies of stubbornness, ill temper, explosive outbursts, and recklessness simmer behind a curtain of calmness with current challenges to her objective to gain the freedom and status of being a lifelong SCOTUS Justice with the power to influence court decisions which can shove American social policies toward the alt-right. And this, no matter how unpopular with the majority of Americans such paternalistic, authoritarian, draconian, theocratic policies are. Mars-Uranus also indicates potentials for the perpetration of violence, thievery, using collective power for self-aggrandizement, and indulging a deep need for ruling over and remaking others. For as we know, once seated on The Bench, all progressive policies and laws within US society will be in Barrett's line of fire - unelected by the populace as she'll be. This is traditionally so and for her, directly so because her SCOTUS confirmation is being rushed in case Trump is hounded from office after November 3rd. The ole timey phrase bum-rushed comes to mind but since Barrett is completely dependent on the efficacy of the GOP steamroller for her successful seating, it's debatable just who the 'bums' actually are. Well, we can guess that she would be bummed out if their effort on her behalf should collapse of its own misbegotten weight.

As it seems, her natal Mars-Uranus opposition also suggests that Amy Coney Barrett's aspirations have driven her into unstable situations denoting a time in her life when drastic alterations are possible so it's understandable to assume that promotion to the SCOTUS bench will fill this cosmic indication for her. And with her inherent tendency toward conflict, plus, the sentimental religiosity of tonight's Moon-Neptune influence on her natal venus, sober pause is necessary for anyone wishing for a deeper consideration of how Barrett's theocractic ideology and anti-democratic activism will alter America for Mars-oppo-Uranus is determined to sweep away the status quo with no thought or consideration of what could sufficiently replace it.

Summer 2020: Uranus-Pluto and Crisis Across America

Monday June 1, 2020: Prior to the brutal murder-by-cop of George Floyd (May 25, 2020 8:30 pm cdt Minneapolis, MN; 3Sag05 rising with his natal Neptune 5:34, then Venus 6:03) which has triggered protests, riots, and violence across our nation, I had access to my original 'Jude Cowell' Facebook account and page on which I had asked a general astrology-related question which received several interesting replies from my astute FB friends.

This became a discussion concerning the Great Conjunctions of Uranus and Pluto which perfected thrice on October 9, 1965, April 4 1966, and June 30, 1966--all in mid-Virgo (17:10, 16:28, and 16:06 respectively), and all three conjunct my natal Virgo Ascendant--and the fact that the transiting midpoint between Uranus and Pluto was now @16Pisces and therefore opposing their intense, revolutionary conjunctions of the 1965/66 across the Virgo-Pisces victim-savior axis. What I'd hoped not to face was that their midpoint might trigger similar violence, turbulence, and upheaval as their conjunctions had done--riots, protests, battles lines drawn, broken store windows and heads, shootings, arrests, shady figures in black showing up to stir events into conflagration, purposeful arson, and even assassinations as in the 1960s. Perhaps I can be forgiven for counting George Floyd as one such victim.

While History May Not Repeat It Very Often Rhymes: Long-Held Grievances now Released

So you can tell where I'm going with this, right? My worst concerns are now confirmed y events for it turns out that, yes, the transiting Uranus-Pluto midpoint of 2020 can trigger the powerful Uranus-Pluto Conjunctions of the 1960s with similar violent results and demands for freedom from oppression. Of course the combined intensity of Uranus-Pluto built and simmered prior to 1965, was most intense during their exact conjunctions, and extended beyond them. This particular planetary pair is so intense, electrical, deep, and transforming that its destabilizing, disruptive, oppressive and persecuting 'vibes' stretched through the 1960s decade, as you know, and had noticeably and finally waned by 1970.

Of course, there were other planetary influences happening in the 1960s, different from those of 2020, but this is beyond the scope of this post. With one exception--that the Uranus-Pluto Conjunctions had one significant opponent uncomfortably traversing watery Pisces--old man Saturn, karmic planet of The Establishment and the status quo. This helped to set up a generational dynamic between young vs old, counterculture vs business-as-usual, as anti-Vietnam War protests, black rights and other civil rights movements against oppression, were engaged, often with rage. Add to this the fact that mid-Pisces holds a star of crisis, Achernar, and its themes have in 2020 been reactivated by the transiting Uranus-Pluto midpoint (along with transiting Neptune in its own shady sign of Pisces, bringing paranoia, contagion and pandemic in its wake). Can a powerful planetary midpoint activate a fixed star's themes? Reluctantly I must say, yes.

US Politics and Rebellious Uranus-Pluto

One prominent disrupted social event within those Uranus-Pluto years was the infamous 1968 DNC in Chicago where over 600 people were arrested, hundreds were injured, Democrat Hubert Humphrey was nominated, hired instigators and intruders showed up (then as now) to make matters worse, and a later investigation of the turbulent protests and violence led to the label "police riot." An ultimate result was that laws and government were changed--then as will be now. Here's a 1m 45s WGN News video with actual footage and details that pretty well sums up the DNC Events of August 1968. And of course, current riots and protests now drench the globe and the Internet for anyone with a hankering to view or review them. Turn on a device--any device--and there they are in your face and broadcast around the world to make certain that other countries know that haughty America is wounded and weeping. One political thought is that the Soviet Union fell, now it's America's turn. It's a large part of the reason Trump was installed--to make America's collapse happen and finagling a 'race riot' is a basic tactic for such Utopian saboteurs and swindlers. Uranus, planet of zealous radical anarchists, syncs with stealthy, power-mad Pluto, the distant manipulator with his hidden wealth and destructive plans for society--for civilization.

Solar Eclipses Then and Now

Now as you know, DNC and RNC 2020 are apparently scheduled for August 2020 after the Summer Solstice 2020 Eclipse @00Cancer, a Cardinal World Point of manifestation. Yet 2020 convention details are iffy due to coronavirus concerns wherever large crowds congregate. But there were no such concerns for contagion in the 1960s which enjoyed something of a musical exclamation point to the turbulent era when the very peaceful, peace-loving Woodstock Festival of 1969 (horoscope shown) was held in upstate New York - mud, Jimi Hendrix playing The Star-Spangled Banner, and all. Yet music, social movements, and social network memes are contagious, right? We even call things "viral" when they're shared round and round.

So if you're curious, here's a previous post concerning the Flower Power Eclipse of November 12, 1966 which displays the 'cosmic peace symbol' formed by the planets, as you can see. This 1966 eclipse fell into the difficult 4 South Saros Series which, sorry to tell you, repeats on December 14, 2020 @23Sagittarius, the very day the Electoral College is set to vote, last I heard, and with Trump's natal Sag Moon and South Node 'eclipsed'. For it can't be denied that in 2020 we are, in fact, influenced by the same Solar Eclipses and themes that ran in the background of the years 1965 and 1966, but with 2020 eclipses manifesting in different signs and with a different panoply of planetary actors in attendance at each 'cosmic blink' event - some harmoniously, some discordantly, and some a grand cosmic mixture of both. As Above, So Below!, an oft-quoted phrase in Astrology that for me personally represents the comforting Scriptural assurance that,

"--Thy Will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven."

Asteroids in the Spotlight: Koronis and Wuhan

Four Asteroid Archetypes of a World in Crisis

Since what was apparently the first case of the 'novel' Coronavirus came to light in Wuhan, China on November 17, 2019, the world has increasingly been gripped by a contagion difficult to vanquish. Most astrologers and astrology novices (like yours truly) have long appreciated the masterful work of Demetra George, an expert on asteroids and their archetypes which often 'come to light' when their expressions within the public discourse are spotlighted during related events, illnesses, and/or societal conditions, places, or persons associated with them.

Within the ongoing, crisis-laden global pandemic there are at least four asteroids that relate directly to timely medical issues of health, wellness, and illness: Aesculapia (#1027), Hygeia (#10), Wuhan (#3206), and Koronis (#158).

For the sake of comparison, here is a list of where in the Zodiac the four asteroids were located on November 17, 2019 (EST) and where each of them are as I type on March 30, 2020 (EDT):

11/17/2019: Hygeia @5Gem35 Rx; Aesculapia @9Can40 Rx conjunct transit North Node (future direction; destiny); Wuhan @11Sag16 conjunct US natal Ascendant; Koronis @26Cap50 in the vicinity of karmic Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn and directly conjunct Inauguration 2017's Midheaven, the Goal Point, where US natal Pluto now lurks in the wings and rehearses for his starring role in America's first-ever Pluto Return--exact three times in 2022 (27Cap32).

03/30/2020: Hygeia @7Gem46 conjunct US natal Uranus; Aesculapia @3Can11 conjunct transit North Node and US natal Venus; Wuhan @26Cap14--still in Saturn-Pluto territory and joined by transit Mars and Jupiter--so Wuhan has now conjoined 2019 Koronis; meanwhile Koronis, now @18Pis41, conjuncts infectious Neptune (19Pis13) as transit Mercury @13Pis42 (who knows quite a lot about spreading things around including germs and gossip), conjoins a fixed star of crisis, Achernar, and is symbolized by the Caduceus, now applies to conjunction with deceptive fantasist Neptune (@19:22 9:14 pm edt) in secretive Pisces on April 3rd which suggests a certain wooliness of thought and expression, even lies, illusions, delusions, and confusion, as propagandist Trump's natal Mercury-Neptune square continues influencing, seducing, and gaslighting the Collective Mind. Note that data is being adjusted, distorted, and in many cases, just plain falsified.

In closing we may wish to note that Asclepius was the son of Apollo (the sun god of healing, truth, and prophecy) and his mother was the nymph Coronis. And as everyone knows, what hides in shadows tends to fester while the best disinfectant is sunlight!

Astro-Notes on the CoronaVirus outbreak in China

Apparently New Year's Eve 2019 is the date that people in Wuhan, China first presented with the viral infection if reports are true. I assume that when that date is given it refers to our Western 'New Year's Eve' and not the Chinese New Year which began January 25, 2020 (Year of the Rat). On that evening, the Moon conjoined Neptune in mid-Pisces with Moon, Neptune, and Pisces as markers for illness and for possible infection or contagion. (As you know, Neptune is the urge-to-merge planet.)

Now usually the impressionable, sensitive Moon-Neptune pair tends to conjure lovely images in the minds of most earthlings, however, their conjunction on that particular date also met with a certain fixed star of turbulence, Achernar (Alpha Eridanus) and seems to have activated or reflected the star's keywords: crisis (at the end of the river) and/or a risk of rapid endings. And tragically, for some folks across the globe, rapid endings it has already been. And for many societies including America, a crisis has presented itself, and everyone is at risk.

Justice Roberts to Head Senate Impeachment Trial

Crunch Time for America 2019--2020

Although his natal horoscope is based on 'date without time' data (RR: X), you may wish to check out the natal horoscope of Supreme Court Justice John Roberts if you haven't since he will be the one to rule over the Senate impeachment trial of Donald J. Trump if there is to be one. Justice Roberts is said to favor protecting his reputation for non-partisanship and a Senate trial concerning Republican Trump will certainly provide an ultimate test of such a high-minded self-image--and I hope he's correct in his self-assumption because a balanced approach is imperative in this risky situation which must be American, not Democrat or Republican.

Born John Glover Roberts on January 27, 1955 in Buffalo, New York, John Roberts is an Air-Water Sun Aquarian with Moon in Pisces for the entire 24-hour period (Sun ranges from 7 to 7:30 Aquarius, Moon from 15 to 29 Pisces). This identifies his personality as an independent thinker and a humanitarian with a social conscience; he is intuitive, reverent, and eccentric. Saturn opposes natal Jupiter once on January 17, 2020 and Pluto opposes natal Jupiter three times beginning on or about January 29, 2020. Transiting oppositions to natal Uranus will raise his chances for additional political, financial, and/or possibly legal battles and conflicts which may very well affect Justice Roberts personally (and not just as spotlights on the topics he deals with as a Chief Justice of SCOTUS). If he takes a wrong path now, the odds of future conflicts increase.

Additionally, the 3 South December 2019 Solar Eclipse of 'traumatic transformation' conjoins and activates by degree the 11 North Prenatal Solar Eclipse of John Roberts. As I said, his time has come:

1. Sun @20Sco55 conjunct natal Saturn (20Sco16) denotes a time of serious situations that require trustworthiness, reliability, and probity. His seniority and past loyalty (to Republican objectives?? allegiance to Opus Dei?) can bring rewards, and current matters concern issues of authority and the senior position of others. Of course, this refers to his nibs and may also involve various culprits mired within Trump's Ukraine and/or other abuse-of-power capers, scandals, and deceptions. 2. Mars @26Lib11 conjunct natal Neptune (28Lib14) suggests a period when frustration is a potential due to others misunderstanding the Justice's methods or objectives, confusion and deception will (attempt to) undermine circumstances, unrealistic or deceptive enterprises are not favored, and issues involve matters of fraud, bankruptcy, charities, drug-trafficking, criminality, and/or penal institutions.

3. Pluto @21Cap03 opposes natal Jupiter (23Can20 Rx and conjunct Trump's natal Saturn) indicates that his best course will be to keep his aspirations on hold especially in relation to politics, and that titanic forces will block him in a power struggle which has huge consequences.

The Pluto-Jupiter opposition influence can at least partially describe the entire political process of a Republican Chief Justice who apparently possesses a social conscience attempting to protect the reputation of the Supreme Court (1789 chart shown) while fairly presiding over a Senate impeachment trial of a shady president with Republican partisans yapping at his heels in a desperate bid to hide their own crimes, foreign ties, and vulnerabilities.

And hopefully transit Neptune Rx @15Pis58--conjunct Achernar, star of crisis and endings--isn't floating too near the natal Pisces Moon of Justice Roberts for this can denote all manner of mysterious potentials including hidden threats to family members.

But surely a desperate Trump and the anti-government GOP wouldn't stoop that low to save their sorry bacon, right?

Saboteur-in-chief Trump and those of his ilk continue to attack, pillage, and damage the environment as they make the plundering of America's natural resources easier for industry corporatists (his backers) to grab, run, deregulate protections and injure the health of the American people. Astrologically this seems apt while Trump's guiding planet Uranus careens through earthy Taurus, money sign of environmentalism, growth, greenery, possessions, pragmatism, and intolerance. Financial disruption is now predicted by economists and others and an economic recession seems to be forming with Uranus in Venus-ruled Taurus and Saturn in its own sign of Capricorn (never a good sign for markets). So under the heavy influence of the titanic Saturn-Pluto Conjunction of January 12, 2020, conditions of compression and a new order will become more and more apparent. Or perhaps I should say, will be forced upon society via the abuse and misuse of power (Pluto) and control (Saturn) even more than before. For most people, removing Trump from office would be satisfying and could help matters yet our problems would remain awaiting solutions.

Now looking at Trump (if we must), that fellow I call Spanky, we know that the influences of Trump's 2019 Solar Return Horoscope ('SR') are active for one year until his birthday in 2020. So if you wish, check out the chart where you'll find 'criminal elements' (Jupiter-Pluto-MC) and a first house Uranus Rx in Taurus suggesting unpredictable, disruptive events, even shocks. Plus, his SR 2019 Uranus is apex of a midpoint picture with Sun (ego; personality; essence; the goal) and Neptune (deception, fraud, delusion, propaganda, undermining, sabotage) so that channeled through Trump we have potentials for:

'Upsets caused by ignoring reality; adjustment of old dreams to fit newly developing situations; indifference to life or others while inwardly escaping' (Munkasey). We should add that budget deficits, an inflated treasury, drug problems (Trump's too?), a leader's impractical schemes, and/or unkept promises are a few of the potentials of the Sun-Neptune pair.

In closing here's my April 23, 2018's post Uranus to Taurus: "Nature's Revolution" showing all three Uranus to 00Tau00 horoscopes, the third and last of which occurred this year on March 6, 2019 just prior to the New Moon @15Pis47 conjunct Achernar, star of crisis at the end of the river and/or the risk of rapid endings. February 2019 Full Moon Conjunct Royal Regulus!

February 19, 2019: POTUS and a Full Moon with Lots of Stars

If the Trump administration remains in the White House until February 2019 as I suppose it will, the Full Moon horoscope of February 19, 2019 seems significant to me for multiple reasons: royal star Regulus @00Vir05 ('the king' or 'the kingmaker') will be reflected and revealed by the light of the Full Moon along with the natal Ascendant (29Leo) of Donald Trump. Note that prominent New and Full Moons sometimes act in Uranian fashion as if they are 'wild card' eclipses, and fixed stars express or are activated via eclipses (Ovason).

Alcyone rises at the moment the Full Moon perfects (10:53:29 am est) at the location of the White House, with the star's key phrase, "something to cry about." Plus, Trump's natal MC (25Taurus) with furious Algol upon it (and Nancy Pelsoi's natal Mars!) has just risen and languishes in the 12th house of Politics and Karma. The Sun-Moon midpoint (00Sag42) sets upon the Descendant along with asteroid Kassandra, key phrase: "a prophetess telling the truth but no one believes her" which may suggest someone's testimony in the Mueller investigation or to Congress. As you know, Lying vs Truth is such a problem for Mr. Trump and his associates with so many activities to cover up. (Confession: I still wonder if there's a love child behind Trump's curtain!)

Also of interest in the Full Moon chart is the Mercury-Neptune conjunction in mid-Pisces, sign of secrecy, for it conjoins fixed star Achernar, key phrases: crisis at the end of the river and risk of rapid endings. This conjunction is particularly notable since Trump's natal Mercury-Neptune square has always given him much to lie and leak about and has provided our nation with a fantasy-prone, indiscreet, unreliable, unable-to-learn, emotionally immature man playing the role of US president. As you see, this conjunction falls in the 11th house of Groups and Associations. And legal eagle planet Saturn @16Cap53 (conjunct steady, strong Rukbat = Mr. Mueller?) has just conjoined the January 2019 Solar Eclipse @15Cap25 (which conjoins the 9th cusp of this chart) in the 2 South Saros Series--theme: 'joining a new group and gaining a great deal by it' (Brady). In a previous post I related this eclipse theme to the new members of the 116th Congress which seems appropriate, agreed? Perhaps Mr. Trump will soon join a new group!

Now notice in the center of the chart I've penned an 'Image for Integration' for the practical Water-Earth Sun Pisces-Moon Virgo combination: "Small events bring enormous consequences" (Sun Sign-Moon Sign, by Charles and Suzi Harvey). Another 'Image' for this combo: "Faith and reason shake hands." (btw, this is the natal personality blend of Senator Ted Kennedy.)

Well, there are several other chart factors worth noting here and many of my study notes are penned upon the chart if you don't mind enlarging the image to read them. See if you agree that the February 19, 2019 Full Moon may represent a significant signpost on the Path of Donald Trump with Full Moons the phase of culmination, fulfillment, awareness, and relationships (or perhaps the ending of them) - perfecting as the Full Moon does upon Trump's natal Ascendant, replete with several activated stars--plus, a Thor's Hammer pattern with its midpoint picture notated on the right side of chart:

Of course, perhaps I fret over nothing for a Full Moon conjunct Trump's natal Ascendant could simply indicate a larger, more revealing publicity event than unusual. But really now, how is that even possible?

Sept 24, 2018 Paul Manafort Trial Washington DC

August 29, 2018: When last we discussed the second trial of convicted felon Paul Manafort set for September 17, 2018, I published an 8:00 am edt horoscope for the trial but expressed misgivings about whether the date would hold. Basically it didn't so later a post update was added to reflect that jury selection will proceed on September 17th but the attorneys' opening statements are postponed a week until September 24th. The following post is a meager attempt to update the second Manafort trial's planets but without displaying a second horoscope.

However, today my comments will be based on a chart set for September 24, 2018 '8:00 am edt' in Washington DC (aka the 'new trial') and hopefully the date will be the final re-set by Judge Jackson although other disruptions could occur (plea deals, illness, -?-). Authoritative Saturn @2Cap48 is in the 3rd house of Communications so a witness may be inhibited, prevented, or delayed from testifying, or perhaps a lawyer will come down with strep throat or be smooched by a dangerous kissing bug--who can say since this trial involves the unpredictable world of Donald Trump! Plus, kissing bugs never ask permission, they just smooch.

Now as we would expect, the fastest moving body from September 17th to the 24th is the Moon which reaches 24Pis14 conjunct fixed star Markab, the star of sorrow with themes of legal problems, emotional issues, tragedies to loved ones, and/or accidents (A. Louis). Luna's September 17th conjunction with Saturn Rx is left behind, plus, the Moon will have sailed beyond the net of deceptive Neptune (@14Pis37 and still in process of the Republican Party's first-ever Neptune Return/s with the the final of five conjunctions coming on December 29, 2018). Fixed star Achernar (risk of rapid endings; crisis at the end of the river) remains ensnared within Neptune's gauzy veils during this period of the GOP's identity and core values morphing into those of the bigoted 'Trump Party'. That transit Neptune now floats through its own watery realms of Pisces only makes things more confused, weakened, undermined, paranoid, fearful, and conspiratorial.

So the Sun @1Lib23 on September 24th has passed its Libra Ingress degree and topped the natal Midheaven (Goal Point) of the Sagittarius Rising natal chart of America (12Sag ASC; MC 00Lib47--a Cardinal World Point of Manifestation and Renown). This blend of conscious-unconscious energies provides a different cosmic weather for the day and trial: Sun Libra-Moon Pisces (Air-Water = ethereal, misty)--different from September 17th's earthy, pragmatic Sun Virgo-Moon Capricorn. Actually the new trial Moon @24Pis14 forms a Full Moon of sorts with the September 17th Sun (24Vir33) signifying a culmination or fulfillment of some sort.

The new trial's Sun Libra-Moon Pisces combination suggests actors, detectives, psychologists, and/or those with perceptive intellects and a potential for "vacillation at crucial crossroads." Hmm...could this describe Mr. Manafort (Sun) plus the jurors (Moon) on this day? Mercury @4Lib12 in 12th house is likely to signify those who testify and we should note that Mercury is no longer the oriental planet of the chart and trial (last to rise before the Sun)--now the oriental planet is way across the chart--quirky Uranus @1Tau41 Rx in 7th house. Curiously, Mr. Trump is a Uranus oriental figure leading the country in his disruptive, unpredictable, chaotic style.

Now a factor in an 8:00 am edt chart set for September 24th which was not true at 8:00 am edt on September 17th is that 13Lib05 rises which precisely brings up the natal Neptune Rx of Paul Manafort (13:52) along with fixed star Algorab with its Mars-Saturn influences and its difficult themes of loss, lies, greed, injury ('in' jury), accidents, and/or a potential for suicide (A. Louis). Manipulator Pluto @18Cap46 Rx stalks the IC, or Foundation of the chart and trial, while acting again as apex planet of the Mars-Saturn midpoint = 'rage, fury, brutality, intervention of a higher power, bodily injury or harm, murder, death of many people'--Ebertin). And as noted in previous posts, this particular midpoint picture belongs to the natal chart of Donald Trump so by transit it's a 'natal echo'. So it seems that Mr. Trump is at the basis of the matter although no one needs Astrology to confirm this for we hear his underworld 12th house Pluto threats every day (which are attended by his 12th house Mars).

At Midheaven (14Can57) are two major stars of the firmament: 'Dog Star' Sirius (ambition, fame, pride, occult interests, dog bites) which is aka, The Scorcher. Nearby in degrees is Canopus, the star of old age and signifying potentials for scandals, a quick temper, and violence (A. Louis). No longer is Trump's natal Mercury (8Can51) precisely on the 8:00 am Midheaven for all to see as it was on September 17th!

On September 24th 'The Tower Eclipse' of August 11, 2018 @18Leo41 remains the 'collapsing' Prenatal Solar Eclipse of the trial as on September 17th along with the same Syzygy Moon (last lunation) which is the New Moon of September 9th @17Virgo, ruled by Mercury, now moved into Venus-ruled Libra. This sign for communicating Mercury indicates a sense of justice, teamwork, and tactful mediation (Ebertin), plus, Mercury will have left its September 17th conjunction with fixed star Denebola (21Virgo; to go against society--and conjunct US natal Neptune).

The Jupiterian North Node @4Leo27 (public contact; future direction) is in the very public 10th house so of course media coverage will dominate to whatever extent it can yet its opposite, the Saturnian 'Tail of the Dragon' South Node @4AQ27 is closer to transit Mars than the week before for Mars is now posited @3AQ34 in 4th house which presents a picture of a loner who disregards the opinions of others when making decisions. Out of harmony with society, Mars-SN can also describe law enforcers and/or someone who tends to antagonize others by lashing out in anger or frustration. Wonder who Mars could be?

As for Jupiter, he'll have moved off '19Scorpio', the 'accursed degree of the accursed sign whose malefic influence never weakens' (A. Louis) and on to 20Sco53 in the trial's 2nd house of Money and Values. Next degree is '21Scorpio', a critical or crisis degree. Perhaps Jupiter's rounded-up SAbian Symbol is helpful here: "21Scorpio" = A Soldier Derelict in His Duty"...DEVIATION. Positive expression: "effective responsibility to the inner stirrings of self and a willingness to face the consequence of true self-assertion; negative: complete faithlessness to the common welfare" (Jones). Thing is, Venus in Scorpio is at a critical degree as well and both planets are 'money planets'.

Valuable Vengeful Venus @8Sco33 in 1st house Also Rules the Corporate 8th

Now I've saved for last chart-ruler Venus (same as on September 17th) which will apply once--to a pleasant trine aspect with deceptive if creative Neptune (6A04). This is the aspect of a master of disguise! A chameleon, as it were and one fond of charades and other game-playing which this trial could turn out to be--especially if Donald 'thespian' Trump dabbles in it. For after all, Mr. Trump's natal Jupiter-Neptune planets and their midpoint rise with his wounded Chiron in the 8:00 am chart on September 24th which suggests great hopes and speculation by one who lives in an unreal world and acts according to an emotionally rationalized agenda.

Robert Mueller appointed May 17, 2017 - w 2018 Eclipse

Tomorrow, Thursday May 17, 2018, is the first anniversary/Solar Return of the appointment of Robert Mueller III as Special Counsel to investigate Donald Trump, the Trump campaign, his associates, and their ties or conspiracies, if any, to or with Russia and Vladimir Putin. On Thursday, the Sun will precisely return to its 2017 degree at 5:44 pm edt (based on its 2017 degree at noon edt). In the Solar Return 2018 chart (not shown), Midheaven @2Leo27 sports the 2017 position of asteroid Atlantis @2Leo01 (abuse or misuse of power; divine retribution; feelings of doom). Obviously, the themes of astrological Atlantis are very much a part of the Mueller investigation into the affairs of Donald Trump and we may also wish to note that in 2017, Nemesis, the unbeatable foe, opposed Atlantis.

And here's a cosmic curiosity: 2Leo+ also happens to be the position of personal name asteroid 'Mueller' on the day of Robert Mueller was born! (you can't make this stuff up).

On May 17, 2017 (Washington DC), the Sun @26Tau55 conjoined the nastiest star in the heavens, Algol, of Medusa-Head fame, the occupant of Mr. Trump's natal Midheaven. Regretfully for Mr. Trump and for the country he now haphazardly leads, enraged Algol at Midheaven has an especially malevolent reputation for potentials such as mob violence, murderous tendencies, and the possibility of a tragic end (Devore). Along with royal Regulus rising (success if revenge is avoided--otherwise, all that's gained will be taken away--Brady), this has been the cosmic condition of Donald Trump since birth (natal MC) and the Mueller probe is now the spotlight shining brightly upon the star's turbulence and affecting the enraged Mr. Trump's career and public reputation on the world stage (MC).

Inner: Special Counsel appointed May 17, 2017 12:00 pm edt Washington DC; outer: Solar Eclipse @18Leo41 2 New North Saros Series August 11, 2018 5:57:39 am edt Washington DC--the collapsing tower:

Of course, you see that Mr. Trump's natal IC @25Scorpio is affected (family; domestic scene) as transit Jupiter in Scorpio approaches and readies to enter Trump's natal 4th house from whence his his natal Uranus-NN-Sun trio will eventually be opposed--conflicts and unfavorable conditions are indicated for an extended period once the Jupiter oppositions begin in 2019. (Also see the penned note, bottom center of the chart: "transit Jupiter oppo 2017 Sun Oct 25, 2018".) Yet some respite may be felt for transit Jupiter will also conjoin Trump's natal Moon @21Sag, usually a happy time unless negative conditions interfere overmuch. For him this may be the case due to his natal Moon-South Node conjunction visited by tr Jupiter so perhaps happy expectations won't be met since a Jupiter-SN contact often denotes blocked endeavors and ethical clashes (as with current conditions). Actually, a look back at the period when this transit of Jupiter occurred about 12 years prior would be fruitful for those who have the time.

Many Towers Totter Across the Globe

As for the bi-wheel pictured above, the outer chart of The Tower Solar Eclipse of August 11, 2018 @18Leo41 is shown because of the involvement of Trump Tower in the ongoing Mueller investigation and the structure's location of at least two significant meetings (June 9, 2016 and December 12, 2017) under Mueller's scrutiny when Russians came to call--and because Trump is so very proud of this building with his name upon it. Plus, this Solar Eclipse conjoins the noon Ascendant of May 17, 2017 (Washington DC) and so I have used it to show upcoming transits to Mr. Mueller's appointment. Also note that a Solar Eclipse in Sun-ruled Leo indicates that karmic progress can only be made if the negative qualities of Leo are avoided--pride, vanity, egocentricity, pomposity, and ostentatious display (Lineman). It also confirms a karmic relationship with one or more offspring--offspring such as Donald Junior whose involvement in the Trump Organization and actions during the 2016 Campaign such as contacts with Russians and others are in the cross hairs of Robert Mueller's Special Counsel investigation.

Now planet Pluto of the (criminal) Underworld holds an important position in both charts @19Capricorn+ but in 2018 Pluto is unaspected and thus detached from any planet in the Eclipse chart, and unable to offer its regenerative power. For Donald Trump this condition of a lonely Pluto is a 'natal echo' since his natal Pluto @10Leo02 is also unaspected which I have previously termed "overshadowed by shadows" as we recently discussed when we took a ginger step into Donald Trump's 12th house of the Unconscious.

And perhaps you remember that May 17, 2017 happened to be the very date of the first of five Neptune Returns (14Pis01, as you see!) of the Republican Party (of 1854). Synchronicity much? The last of the five conjunctions perfects on December 29, 2018 which takes party members into 2019 with a disappointing wilt rather than a bang. And as you know, a difficult star inhabits the region of 15Pisces--Achernar = crisis at the end of the river, or, the risk of rapid endings. Yes, many Capitol Hill resignations have been announced with the probability of more to come--plus midterm election losses in November if a 'Blue Wave' is allowed to wash over America and voters mobilize themselves in great numbers.

Well, there are many more chart factors of interest here but as usual this should remain a post not a book so let's close with a few notes on the May 17, 2017 Sun-Moon blend which sounds like a description of Robert Mueller to me--at least in comparison to the squishy, quirky, changeable Donald Trump whose natal Uranus @18Gemini (his guiding planet) hints of his China connections:

Horoscope: FBI Raids Trump's Lawyer Michael Cohen

April 10, 2018: as you've undoubtedly heard by now, the NY FBI raided the Manhatttan office, home, and hotel room of Trump's personal lawyer Michael Cohen yesterday "just after 5:00 am" according to the New York Daily News. Confiscated are said to be emails (including communications between Cohen and Trump who 'doesn't email'), business records, documents, an iPad, a briefcase, and who-knows-what-else.

Below is a messily penned version of a horoscope set for Manhattan, NY April 9, 2018 at 5:07 am edt with deceptive Neptune in shady Pisces rising along with fixed star Achernar (crisis at the end of the river; risk of rapid endings). Note that Donald Trump's natal Sun-NN-Uranus is at IC (the Basis of the Matter) which publicly projects his Moon-SN conjunction at Midheaven (relationships and contacts), and of course MC is the WHY? or Goal Point of any chart. Transit Jupiter Rx in corporate Scorpio, sign of secrets, leads a BOWL shape of planets suggesting a 'scooping up' sort of situation while potentials of the Jupiter-Pluto midpoint at MC are penned on the right side of the chart. Note that transit Jupiter has been playing around Mr. Cohen's natal Neptune (19Scorpio) of late and investigating pretenses and deceptions--and will conjoin it precisely after moving Direct on July 10, 2018. The recent conjunction of harsh Mars and Saturn occurred near or perhaps conjunct Mr. Cohen's natal Moon in Capricorn though without a birth time for him his natal Moon could be in late Sagittarius (born August 25, 1966 Long Island, NY; noon Moon @2Cap17, latest Moon position could be 8Cap31--opposite Tramp natal Mercury @8Can51). The April 9 FBI raid's Chiron @29Pis33 conjoins Cohen's natal Saturn @28Pisces--and note that Scheat @29Pisces, a star with potentials for malevolence, extreme misfortune, murder, suicide, and/or imprisonment (A. Louis), conjoins Chiron-to-natal-Saturn near the Aries Point of Fame, Fortune, and Recognition.

Plus, the Venus-Pluto midpoint also rises with fraudster Neptune hinting that concealed financial assets, deception, immorality, and seduction are involved (ex: $130,000 Cohen paid to Stormy Daniels for her silence--and the NDA now asserted to be null and void because Trump--as 'David Dennison'-- failed to sign it...on purpose is my suspicion, perhaps for the sake of 'plausible deniability'). You'll undoubtedly find more worthy chart factors if you have a chance to take a look!

This horoscope is messy because it's what I do. But also because this is a very messy situation full of complex conditions, hidden events and furtive motives which are due to be uncovered, perhaps around the time of the upcoming Solar and Lunar Eclipses (which include a repetition of Trump's own Prenatal Solar Eclipse on July 13, 2018 @21Cancer) so that and other disruptive cosmic conditions for Mr. Trump during the rest of 2018 and very much through 2019 do not look very promising at all for the embattled kingpin-in-chief in the realms of politics, finances, and relationships.

2017: Republican Party Now Having Its Neptune Return

Yes, this particular astrologer is a common-good sort of American and since we're stuck with two political parties, my preference is that both parties contain honest men working on behalf of the American people. But in this 'New Millennium', my suspicion is that the majority of We The People realize that this is only a bubbly dream that went pouf! decades ago if indeed it was ever reality at all. Founded on Plato's Ideal Society, most of America's Founders were members of secret societies and held an esoteric mindset full of high 'Enlightenment' ideals which subsequently have been quite easy to 'repeal and replace' with crass materialism and me-first attitudes which are now embodied in a compromised Donald Trump playing POTUS as he rakes in the cash at the expense of our republic.

Today is September 21, 2017 and once again the Republican Party thinks to 'repeal' what they disrespectfully have called 'Obamacare' and replace it with a misshapen version of 'healthcare' insurance that some have called Trumpcare ('Trumpscare' more like). So considering how industriously the GOP has worked since the ACA (Obamacare) was passed into law (March 2010) to undermine its provisions and trash talk it down--as they continue to do--we may wish to consider the current condition of the GOP via its natal Neptune, planet of corruption, fraud, falsehood, scams, scandals, delusions,spirituality and inspiration and its natal degree of 14Pis01, for as astrologers of the Tropical Zodiac recognize, transit Neptune has been precisely on that degree in recent times. In fact, the Republican Party's Neptune Return is a five-er due to Neptune's off-and-on retrograde periods. But first...

Why Use March 20, 1854 6:30 pm LMT Rippon, Wisconsin?

In a forum on the Noel Tyl website data is given for the natal Horoscope of the Republican Party as March 20, 1854 6:30 pm LMT Ripon, Wisconsin with 4Libra23 rising and 5Cancer14 at Midheaven, the Point of Aspirations and Goals. The source cited is The Origin of the Republican Party. A 5Can14 MC spotlights America's natal Jupiter @5Can56 (July 4, 1776) with its telling Sabian Symbol: "Game Birds Feathering Their Nests." Wonder if this is one of the reasons Harry Truman asserted in 1948 that the Republican Party was a party of the rich and that that's all it would ever be?

If you're curious, here's what Harry thought of the Republican Party.

So just what is a Neptune Return? With distant Neptune's approximate 165-year cycle, no human being has ever enjoyed one, of course, but nations and other long-term entities can. Amazingly, we who are now living are in the midst of one at this very moment--the Neptune Return/s of the Republican Party--now 'in control' of our three branches of government. And we can feel how Neptune's typical lack of clarity and fanciful notions are working for us.

So first, let's consider through a common-good Political Astrology lens the meaning of Neptune floating through its own sign of oceanic Pisces, sign of the Two Fishes--one swimming upward toward the highest ideals and standards, and reaching the Divine Source, the other swimming down toward the depths--of shady criminality, the Underworld, corruption, deception, delusion, disappointment, and/or the depths of despair. Yes, drug taking and trafficking are down there somewhere along with damning secrets and leaks of inconvenient truths.

Plus, Neptune in Pisces is a primary indicator of the Collective Unconscious which, at least around Stars Over Washington, relates to the US presidency through America's four-year cycle of Inaugurations on January 20th at noon in Washington DC--with 14Taurus rising and bringing starry Menkar the Whale along with the presidential oath. Keywords: victim of the unconscious. Through the Biblical story of Jonah, this archetype also relates to saying what must be said whether you want to or not. (You know--like a president mouthing words written and directed by higher authorities--'the big picture must be followed', etc. Or dethroning follows.)

As for transit Neptune in Pisces, we are in a period since February 3, 2011 of increased interest in mysticism and the paranormal, spiritual quests, inspired art, music, and literature, psychism, alcohol and other drug cravings, contagions, and/or pessimism. This is also a time when deep pathological tendencies float up from the unconscious minds of those who unfortunately have them, whether through nature, nurture, or both. Transit Neptune will be in Pisces until January 2026 so we all have a ways to swim just yet until the Mars-ruled Aries Point of World Manifestation is reached by Neptune with potentials for the love of humanity, ideas concerning the social welfare, confusion, and/or insane or mad ideas (R. Ebertin).

Now in the natal chart of the Republican Party, we may surmise a bit about their Neptune Return by considering natal Neptune's general condition--aspects, midpoint pictures, house rulership, degree, etc. For as you know, any planetary return repeats the aspects of the returning planet to other natal planets thereby casting a light upon them and their indications. However, for the 1854 GOP, the aspects of natal Neptune in natal 6th house (and ruling it with 9Pis20 on the cusp) are wispily threadbare to say the least for there is only a semi-square (2A28) to natal Pluto @1Tau30 in natal 8th house in evidence. There seem to be a few possible ways we can read this:

Weakening Neptune in a weak square with Pluto which brings periods of social turmoil, the subtle disintegration of social structure, and corrupt political institutions. These are, in my estimation, precisely what the 'political class' is all too eager to provide for us with corporate-bought Democrats as the Party of the Rich's enablers. And note the use of subtlety as they continually attempt to hide their paw prints from their crimes!

And if we consider the GOP's natal Neptune as unaspected, we find materialism to be the inspiring world view with full dependence upon rationality and an inability to believe in the numinous. Lack of aspects denotes that the spirituality of planet Neptune is unable to give lofty insights to the rest of the natal planets, resulting in a dry, serious, or cold demeanor (and a lack of smiles, as you may have noticed!)

Another way to look a the GOP Neptune Return/s is the house position of natal Neptune in the 6th house of Health, Work, and Military, Police, and Civil Services. Now I don't have to mention here how all of these areas relate to ongoing Republican efforts to undermine the US government and the American people so I'll simply mention the Sabian Symbols (M.E.J. version) that apply to the party's natal Neptune--the karmic confrontation degree of '14Pisces' and '15Pisces':

'14Pisces': "A Lady in Fox Fur" (my italic for an obvious reason): "negative expression: amoral opportunism."

'15Pisces': "An Officer Preparing to Drill His Men": "negative expression: uninspiring drudgery."

In addition, we should mention that Neptune in mid-Pisces conjoins a certain fixed star: Achernar with the key phrases: a risk of rapid endings and crisis at the end of the river. Neptune's position in 1854 also conjoined an asteroid/archetype, Toro, one of the power asteroids that relates to nuclear power and to Wall Street's pagan worship of the golden bull. This also reminds me of Congress' tricky "nuclear option"!

Now let's close with one more thing about the GOP's natal Neptune and that is its involvement in a natal midpoint picture: Neptune-MC = Uranus (10Tau12 in 8th house of Corporatism and Transformation): the desire to bring ideas to realization at all costs.

This sounds just like the GOP and their enablers to me as they dance self-destructively to the tune of their wealthy domestic and foreign donors.

The September 6th Full Moon perfects @13Pis53 at 3:02/03 am edt. This Full Moon reflects upon fixed star Achernar @14Pisces (a Eridani; The Cherub and the Sword) with its themes of: 'royal honors; success in public office' (DeVore); and 'crisis at the end of the river' (Brady). Unfortunately, the good people of Texas and Louisiana know all too much about flooding and crisis but not so much about 'royal honors'.

On a personal note, Tracy at Tracy's Astro Salon writes of the Pisces Full Moon, "..on September 6 we have the Pisces Full Moon (and it) is yet another call back to the eclipse on August 21st. Emphasis is on faith and spirit. What is that thing that connects us all together and to something bigger than ourselves? The four Solar and Lunar Eclipses of 2017 are penned outside the charts and they bracket Trump's ASC-DESC axis--with the August 21st Solar Eclipse @29Leo precisely conjunct his natal Ascendant which can bring explosive events. We'll consider the planetary links that jump out at us although more connections exist, of course, and I trust you to find them if you wish.

Venus sextile Mars denotes a period of opportunity for someone if they aggressively follow through concerning the situation.

As you see, the spotlight (Sun 17Gem57) shines upon Mr. Trump's natal Uranus (17:53) which draws eyes to his quirky, disruptive style of 'governing'.

Now the main trio is Trump's rising Mars @26Leo conjoined by Comey's natal Uranus (explosive! bombshell!) and both planets are pointed toward by the transiting North Node of public encounters. An interpretation of this trio's potentials as a midpoint picture is penned on the chart, lower left, but add to it possibilities such as quarrels, disruption, meetings with law enforcement, and/or radical political reforms or reformers.

There is also a transiting 'YOD' (crisis; turning point; special task) formed at 10:00 am of Jupiter-Ascendant = Neptune (14Pis14), planet of masks, obfuscation, deception, and scandals which conjoins fixed star Achernar (crisis at the end of the river; the risk of rapid endings). The picture is: an astute politician with little practical sense (Munkasey); speculation; disappointments; losses (Ebertin). Neptune as apex planet of a YOD pattern indicates one who would rather remain in his emotional ivory tower than directly face harsh realities without--he gazes at his difficulties from afar.

Here's an unmasking of dreamy but gaseous Neptune now:

Between the natal charts of the two combatants is James Comey's natal Sun (22Sag) conjunct Donald Trump's natal Moon-SN conjunction and opposing Trump's natal Sun-NN conjunction. Is this a destined confrontation? It seems both personalities (Sun) and emotions (Moon) clash between them as reps of their generations (1946 vs 1960), and natal Sun conjunct another's Moon ultimately gives the Sun person (Comey) the upper hand. Plus, transit Saturn has been afflicting Mr. Trump's Sun-Moon opposition on his Nodal axis off and on since late last year (applying, with a 5-degree orb).

Then in Trump's 5th house you see transit Pluto @18Capricorn conjunct (as it has been off and on of late) Mr. Comey's natal Saturn, planet of authority, accountability, and control and denoting a situation where he must confront abuse of authority. And in a flurry of synchronicity, transit (Tr) Pluto is in the midst of the 1993 degree/s of the Great Conjunction of Uranus and Neptune which we've discussed several times previously: the big picture must be followed, very little option to do otherwise (Tyl).

Now as you know, Mr. Trump campaigned on fighting against that 'big picture' (global governance) with his version of American Nationalism and isolationism (ex: withdrawal from the Paris agreement on climate change). If the play goes on as scheduled on June 8, 2017 we'll see a political performance with Mr. Trump up against tremendous forces determined to take him down and though this is tragic on a personal level, it matters more that the US government is being 'taken down' with him, almost as if it were planned all along.

The sad misfortune of the American people circa 2017 and beyond partially lies in the flaws and failings of the man who now plays the role of our nation's knight in tarnished shining armor.

Neptune in Pisces and the FOX News Network

Neptune, Pisces, FOX News, and Pod Caster Bill O'Reilly

Recently it would be difficult for those who follow US news at all to miss what's been going on over at FOX News: sexual harassment allegations and lawsuits, firings of on-air personalities and head harasser Roger Ailes, Donald Trump's slavish adoration of Fox and Friends anchors , and so on.

Typing as an Astrology novice, it seems curious to me how transit Neptune has floated on and around the 14th degree of the planet's own sign of Pisces with both planet and sign associated with the media, the masses, the Collective, fakery, deception, corruption, uncertainty, loss, theft, veils, obfuscation, webs and networks. And particularly since 14 Pisces is the degree with the Sabian Symbol of "A Lady in Fox Fur."

So perhaps a quote from Marc Edmund Jones may enlighten us on the meaning of this word picture which is one degree from fixed star Achernar and its keywords: 'crisis' (at the end of the river) and 'risk of rapid endings'. For that is what news reader Bill O'Reilly came up against recently via the sudden ending of his career on FOX News after major advertisers withdrew their support of his program because of O'Reilly's legal problems with women.

In related news O'Reilly replacement Tucker Carlson says that What Bill O'Reilly Did Wasn't Easy (an unfortunate way to put it!) And in defiance of Neptune's usual deceptive practices, the now-pod-casting Mr. O'Reilly vows that the truth will come out and although the time frame for such a revelation is uncertain, the truth is awaited.

Happy President's Day!

On Tuesday, February 21, 2012, a new cycle of activity and projects begins with a New Moon @ 3Pis42 in 7th house of Partnerships and Open Enemies when the horoscope is set for Washington DC. Perfecting on Tuesday at 5:34 pm est, one of the Royal Stars of Persia, Regulus 00Vir01 (success if revenge is avoided) rises, ASC 00Vir01.

At The Goal or WHY? Point of the chart (MC 25Tau12) are two stars associated with the Middle East (Capulus and Algol: rage!) so perhaps a new phase of action concerning US occupations in the region will be on display (MC) or is to be announced.

It's a Moon Hour, suitable for changes, fluctuations, and concerns of our daily lives, and chart-ruler Mercury 14Pis29 (7th H) conjoins another Fixed Star, Achernar, indicating a potential for crisis, particularly at the 'end of the river', or relating to liquids.


Mercury-Mars Tells the New Moon Tale

Mercury applies to only one aspect with another planet in the chart--Mars 17Vir47 Rx (at critical or crisis degree); Mercury rules 1st H as noted, 2nd H (cusp 23Vir41 which is conjoined by US natal Neptune and President Obama's natal Mars 22Vir35) showing some confusion, deception, or over promising in the area of Money (2/8 axis with Venus 15Ari56 inconjunct Mars---adjustments needed in Venusian evaluations v Mars reactions with Mars Rx)--and a crisis-degreed 11th H--cusp 29Gem42 showing stress in Groups and Associations.

An unaspected Uranus 2Ari45 is also posited in 7th H and once again conjoins asteroid Hermes (magician-trickster) so we may 'expect the unexpected' during the next two weeks with possibly a culmination or fulfillment at the next Full Moon.

Obviously the unaspected condition of disruptive, quirky planet Uranus means that anything may happen--early, late, or never--and this can be positive or negative. I think of the lady skier who survived the avalanche disaster--she pulled the cord on a new-fangled airbag and it saved her life--Uranus advances new-fangled technology and by its Sky rulership, relates to Air--my warm congratulations to her!

Since a chart-ruler's applying aspects tell us how things will proceed, I'm calling the Mercury-Mars opposition (3A19) across the 1/7 axis the main driver of this New Moon even though it is ruled by Jupiter and co-ruled by Neptune (the speculator-wastrel-grand schemes pair--and with Neptune in its sign of Pisces @ 00:42, what are the chances We the People are being shined on once again in economic matters? ("1 Pis" = "A Public Market", the symbol for America's Pre-Natal Eclipse degree 00Pi33; this gives a potential Sun/Moon = Neptune picture of deception, delusions, discontent, mistakes, misunderstandings, shared suffering, and/or undermined relationships for the US.)


Jupiter and Pluto's Last Exact Trine March 9

Of course, the Big Banking-Fed combo of Jupiter 5Tau38 (in the Jolly One's own house of Philosophy and Education) and Pluto 8Cap58 (in 5th H of Risk-Taking, Gambling, and Children) are trining one another helpfully so opportunities abound for finances, perhaps in banking and almost assuredly in campaign funding. However, as ruler of Sagittarius, Jupiter rules the 5th H at a critical-crisis 29th degree (29Sag42--'30Sag' = "The Pope Blessing the Faithful"--and Pluto in one guise = "The Pope" so any 2012 candidates of the Catholic persuasion come to mind.)

Oppositions always denote relationship and/or awareness issues; thinking Mercury opposing action-taking Mars (still Rx, so the planet of conflict is reacting and reviewing Mercurial plans more than acting at the moment) indicates restless impatience, mental superiority that may cause others to feel threatened, and a tendency to quarrel when compromise would achieve more positive results for everyone involved.

However, there will be others provoking confrontations and conflicts, lots of criticism, and a lack of popularity that issues from such cantankerous behavior. If Mars Rx can refuse to argue (Mr. Obama's Mars Return still in progress with its third and last conjunction June 18, 2012), then things can be resolved especially since there is much mental acuity and, when made steadier by maturity, an ability to listen to others before making or acting on decisions.

(We'll see the results of what's under consideration now once Mars turns Direct and begins moving forward--often with an unexpected or surprising burst of Martian energy. Mars' Direct Station @ 3Vir41 occurs on April 13, 2012 at 11:52 pm edt--opposite this New Moon.)

So! Don't draw conclusions until all sides of an issue have been expressed or considered, and try 'playing dumb' under the Mercury-Mars opposition; diplomacy is a must since burning bridges with others is stupid for their cooperation may be needed later--and watch how one 'says things', too--what good advice for all 2012 candidates--and for opinionated, dissenting-American bloggers like me!

Astrology of Laura Bush's fatal car crash of 1963

Raw Story has an interesting article concerning Laura Bush's "small STOP sign" car accident which killed a classmate - some say, boyfriend - on the evening of November 6, 1963.

This is my first discovery of the exact date of the accident which occurred on that evening as Laura then-Welch and a girlfriend were motoring to a drive-in theater, ran what she details in her upcoming book as a "small" STOP sign, and crashed into a fellow student's Corvair. Mrs. Bush's memory of the night's weather and road conditions do not match police records, btw...what few remain in existence.

Possibilities?

Was the fatal accident part of a lovers' break-up scenario? Hmm. Well, I have speculated rather unkindly before that membership in certain secret societies may include murder as initiation, but this particular post isn't about that. Or is it?

Checking the horoscope for Nov 6, 1963 Midland, TX, precise hour unknown but in the 'evening' (drive-in movies weren't visible until after dark!), I'm setting the chart for 8:50:40 pm cst because this places Mrs. Bush's natal Moon 15Pis00 at Midheaven, along with Fixed Star Achernar, keywords: crisis; risk of rapid endings...certainly not conclusive but a good way to time the chart is to use the Moon or another planet in angular position.

She definitely caused a crisis for the young man and his family, that we know.

Plus, the transiting Moon that night was at a crisis or critical degree @ '29Cancer'..."Daughter of the American Revolution" in the Sabian Symbols which may relate to the car accident itself or to a very upset young lady (perhaps before if spurned, and certainly after the crash which left a very mangled Corvair and a dead young man who may or may not have been her boyfriend.)

Also, the 29Can Moon of Nov 6, 1963 conjoined Laura Bush's natal Ic, the point of Endings in a horoscope...now there's an important bit of angularity!

Curiously, on the morning of Nov 6, 1963, a Venus Return occurred for Laura Welch Bush which to suspicious-of-all-Bushes me indicates that love or love-lost was part of the picture for the mayhem caused by Laura Bush on that fateful night, for Love Spurned makes for a very vengeful Lady Venus. And certainly relationship issues are on any one's menu during a Venus Return.

And with 1963's transiting South Node of the Moon (a point of separation where we fall back on previous, possibly neurotic, behaviors) conjunct Mrs. Bush's natal Sun/Moon midpoint 13Cap29 (male-female relationships; marriage) and the cruel Saturn/Pluto midpoint crossing her natal Venus during that time, we see hints of upsetting losses involving relationships. Of course, the accident itself falls into that category as well.

However, there is a natal midpoint picture involving Neptune that I shall mention as well (in effect no matter her hour of birth)...Neptune's connotations include deceptions and cover-ups, as well as negative escapisms such as alcohol and other drugs...

Mercury/Pluto = Neptune: using deception and concealing information; falsification of data; cunning strategies. (Ebertin.)

And since in 1963, tr Uranus and Pluto were in process of lining up for their Great Conjunction/s of 1965/66, I've checked for her natal midpoints in the range of their degrees in Virgo in the accident chart: 9 - 13.

Mercury/NN (meeting with a young person), Saturn/Neptune (loss; suffering; renunciation), Mars/Uranus (a sudden application of effort; bodily intervention), Venus/Uranus (splitsville?; the arousing of love; eccentricity), Neptune/Pluto (other realms, unseen forces, mysticism, the supernatural), and Mercury/Uranus (intuition; astuteness; unexpected or sudden events while traveling.)

I shall leave you to look up the pictures formed by tr Uranus and Pluto triggering her midpoints that night and simply add the Pre-Natal Solar Eclipse influence in effect the night of Nov 6, 1963. It's the 1 North Series which includes the JFK assassination a couple of weeks later, the first atomic bomb attack of August 6, 1945, and the Mother of All Eclipses, the King of Terror Eclipse, of August 11, 1999...

1N: unexpected events involving friends or groups put tremendous pressure on relationships; hasty decisions are ill-advised because information is distorted and possibly false; an element of health problems (or death?) and fatigue may be evident. (Paraphrasing Brady's Predictive Astrology.)

Short of a confession, we'll probably never know the full truth behind Laura Bush's bad driving and its subsequent fatal consequence, but 'looking under the hood' of mysterious happenings by using Astrology does have its merits for shining light into dark and hidden corners.
