Astrology Weighs In: Aggravating the Original Wound

Tiresomely, the GOP and its wealthy enablers continue to use the fatal flaw (wound) of racism against the American people as a wedge issue to divide, conquer, and sway sentiments and votes in the direction of Republicans, so it may be interesting to have a look at the Solar Eclipse which heralded Nixon's Southern Strategy of August 5, 1968. The eclipse fell into the 6 North Saros Series and manifested on March 28, 1968 @8Aries19.
Listed below the horoscope image are the 6N eclipse themes that were operative at the time, plus, we know that when a solar eclipse occurs in Mars-ruled Aries we can expect a militant flavoring to events along with a competitive spirit that boldly confronts circumstances through leadership that sees problems as challenges; for karmic progress to result, negative Arian traits of belligerance, arrogance, and foolhardiness must be avoided - but as we know, it wasn't and has not been through the years. And since 1968, the Southern Strategy has made the use of huge amounts of propaganda and deceit possible and effective along with the GOP's regular employment of Goebbels' technique of The Big Lie. Because for Republicans, it's success at any cost and might makes right! Or as Trump has asserted, either you're a k*ller or you're not.
So below for your consideration is the Solar Eclipse Horoscope of Nixon's Southern Strategy of March 28, 1968 @8Ari19 in the 6 North Saros Series; you'll notice multiple chart factors but here I'm emphasizing a significant midpoint picture - powerful Saturn-Pluto which conjuncts Midheaven ('MC'), the Goal Point, which brings to mind the January 12, 2020 Great Conjunction of Saturn and Pluto @22Cap46 (conjunct Trump's natal Vertex of fated encounters); you'll also note that corporate Cupido (The Syndicate; The Family) conjuncts MC opposite doom-dealer Atlantis at IC, the Basis of the Matter; a few of 22-year-old Trump's natal placements are penned on--his natal trio of Neptune-Chiron-Jupiter rises (SN conjunct his Jupiter!), and eclipse Jupiter Rx @26Leo42 conjuncts and expands his natal Mars rising with royal Regulus:
6 North Themes: 'relationships to father figures, authority figures, or, the need to take control and responsibility; time to accept commitments that occur due to another person's illness or unreliability' (paraphrasing Brady's Predictive Astrology #ad).
Since 1968, eclipses in the 6 North family have occurred on April 9, 1986 @19Aries (Reagan), April 19, 2004 @30Aries (Bush-Cheney), and - just so ya know - a 6N eclipse repeats on April 30, 2022 @10Taurus.
Got a minute? Below is a brief synopsis on video concerning the founding of the U.S. Postal Service by the Second Continental Congress on July 26, 1775 with Benjamin Franklin appointed its first postmaster. In that era, Congress considered the founding of a postal service to be "crucial to the future of the 13 Colonies," a sentiment that modern-day (Republican) congress members do not hold because it doesn't jive with their campaign to sabotage and collapse the US government, and to privatize everything they can grab. Perhaps a few Democrats agree with this, I don't know. But ending the US Post Office is yet another example of how the greedy GOP is an anti-societal bunch of operators with bad intentions toward the American people and with no thought for the common good:

As for the Astrology of July 26, 1775, our USPS was founded under Sun Leo-Moon Cancer energies, a vulnerable and self-absorbed combination. Communicating Mercury @12Leo was retrograde that day which suggests a subsequent re-do or review of the legislation which formed the service. This relates to the fact that President George Washington signed further legislation, the Postal Service Act, which made the agency a permanent part of the federal government on February 20, 1792 with Mercury direct in Aquarius. Permanent. George Washington did that.
So as you know, Gemini is ruled by Mercury, the planet often represented as a wing'ed messenger as shown, below. Additionally on July 26, 1775, expansive, inflating Jupiter was also posited in chatty Gemini, signifying the tremendous volume of mail delivered through the service's 237 years of operation. Oddly enough, Republicans behave as if they've never benefited from the US Postal Service! (Imho, anyone who depends solely on an Internet powered by an ancient electrical grid for all their communications must be completely daft. And excessively gullible.)
And so 2020 has dawned and the agency is on the verge of running out of funds in June! But this is thanks largely to 'help' from the Republican Party's imposed pension funding scam (a set-up for failure), and Trump's rejecting a bail-out package for the service - because mail-in votes could elect Democrats (!) in November so Trump would rather kill, or at least seriously hobble, the USPS than to lose the election. Astounding how much election rigging it's taking Republicans just to keep a substandard, unfit-for-office reality TV host playing at being 'POTUS'! Besides, the US Post Office delivers people's meds and other health supplies, too! See Postal Service on the verge of collapse and 63,000 jobs are at risk. Our nation is on the verge along with it, for meanwhile, transit Pluto creeps through governmental Capricorn and lends a hidden hand with the destruction of Saturnian structures as he heads for America's first-ever Pluto Return/s - three exact returns all through 2022.
Therefore, for the future of our Republic and the common good of We The People as we attempt to 'save what's left', my fervent hope is that a majority of Americans will speak up and out against the Republicans' plan to remove the US Post Office from our lives, a plan which just might culminate in 2027. Why then?
Because the Prenatal Solar Eclipse ('PE') of the US Postal Service in the 11 South Saros Series - a Total eclipse which perfected on March 1, 1775 @11Pis11 and is also the PE of the American Revolution - has major themes attached: 'old methods/ideas fail; new systems are needed to deal with events; any blocks could be violently or tragically removed' (Brady's Predictive Astrology). And so another Total 11 South eclipse occurs on August 2, 2027 @10Leo - the natal Pluto position of USPS saboteur Donald Trump.
Unless you think that maybe he will be the block that's removed!

December 2, 2019: With the House Judiciary Committee's phase two of the Impeachment Inquiry of Donald Trump looming over the country beginning Wednesday December 4th at 10:00 am est (rising Saturn-Pluto = Ascendant @20Capricorn: being placed in cumbersome and difficult circumstances; separation--Ebertin), here's a belated Thom Hartmann segment from Thom's program posted November 14th which asks a very good question, Do Republicans Want To Be Ruled By a King?
Looking ahead to the 2020 Presidential Election, Rep. Adam Schiff warns that the election is enormously vulnerable to hacking and foreign influence. Who in America actually needs such a warning yours truly isn't certain but there it is. Election rigging and gerrymandering are par for the GOP course, too, since their anti-American policies can't win over a majority of voters to their austerity-for-you-extreme-wealth-for-me agenda.
And when we check the 2020 Election Day Horoscope we find that November 3, 2020 falls under the rays of a 4 North Saros Series solar eclipse with background themes of illusions, blocks, separations, and misjudgments so little if any comfort there. In addition, the Jupiter-Pluto conjunction sits at the natal Vertex of Donald Trump and with his natal Saturn of authority (watery and emotionally based in Cancer!) opposite. Transit Saturn, strong in his own sign and planet of control, restriction, fear, and karma has moved on to 26 Capricorn where he sits atop our Inauguration horoscope/s at Midheaven (26Cap+), The Goal.
Last but not least today we should consider 'voting Mercury', planet of communications, casting ballots and making decisions (and judgments whether clear or erroneous). At 12:49 pm, Mercury stations @25Lib53 emphasizing the importance of our election decisions on that day (and the cheats and Mercurial tricksters who divert election results). Plus, transit Mercury has recently sped through Trump's natal 2nd hou$e trio of Neptune-Chiron-Jupiter (5 to 18 Libra). It's early days yet (March 13 2019 as I type) but one must assume that information, leaks, and reports will have concerned Trump's inflated-inflationary Jupiter-Neptune conjunction of grand schemes and fraud--with wounding-wounded Chiron of blind spots snugged within its ballooning midst.

Of course with US natal Pluto @27Cap33, We The People are hindered (my opinion!) by the the fact that Trump's natal Venus in Cancer permanently opposes US natal Pluto on financial levels in particular and this, in part, describes the extreme intensity of his relationship with America and the American people, plus, it reveals the continual, ruthless power struggles he is determined to 'win' at anyone's expense but his own. The Venus-Pluto pair also contains potentials for organized crime, extreme wealth hidden away, and breakdowns in the social fabric (Munkasey) - breakdowns that are intended by Republicans and their enablers every time they attempt to cut our social safety net programs.
Now we may wonder if Election Day 2020 planets look favorable for Donald Trump and some do (ex: Moon in Gemini approaches his Uranus-NN-Sun conjunction--Moon = the public, in mutable Gemini = changeable moods and minds--yet the Gemini Moon opposes his Sagittarius Moon and suggests some voters' attraction to his duplicitous Gemini personality and chaotic Uranian style of 'ruling'). And yes, there is also negativity in the Election Day 2020 horoscope/s for those who care to look so if Trump is still around by Election Day 2020, as most agree he will be, he will continue to be a major, jarring force which must be reckoned with - although he may need all the underhanded cheating tactics his supporters are willing to provide if he expects to 'win' the election against what must be a tsunami of Democratic and Independent voters turning up at the polls determined to vote Trump out.
Neptune in Pisces and the Disappearing GOP

After hearing Trump's recent 'unhinged' and rambling rant at CPAC 2019, GOP strategist Rick Tyler says "it's over," for the Republican Party, "Rest in peace." Mr. Tyler predicts that once Donald Trump passes on there will be no party left which is unfortunate yet interesting since Astrology has been saying that very thing for years now as evidenced by the party's recent Neptune Return/s (2017-2018), with the last of five conjunctions perfecting on December 29, 2018! (See link, below.)
For as all astrologers know, the urge-to-merge energies of astrological Neptune, although sometimes inspiring, uplifting, and compassionate, can erode, dissolve, undermine, confuse, ruin, poison, infect, conspire, obfuscate, hide, mask, disguise, propagandize, spy, falsify, fantasize, cheat, defraud, idealize, demagogue, disappoint, disillusion, disappear, lie, mislead, doubt, disrespect, lose, steal, pilfer, rob, waste, and/or weaken whatever it touches or affects.
And since the Republican Party was founded in 1854 with Neptune @14Pis01, the party's nature on the inspirational level may not have been as grounded as it now turns out was needed in order for the political party to last more than 164 years (the approximate length of Neptune's orbital period), or perhaps a certain amount of dishonesty, fraud, masking, or wrong ideas were involved all along. Whatever the original cause, transit Neptune floating through its own sign of Pisces has provided determined forces a perfect opportunity to undermine, erode, weaken, and morph the party into the Trump-infused entity we now find squirming in his grasp, its end lamented by many.
Yet did things have to be this way for the Republican Party? No! For in Pisces there is always a choice of direction seen via the image of the Two Fishes, one swimming up toward the heights, the other down to the depths, and under the sketchy, lie-filled leadership of Donald Trump, it seems clear that the murkiest of depths are precisely where the GOP has sunk.

Now on an astrological note (for timing purposes), a difficult Solar Eclipse will perfect on August 11, 2018 @18Leo41 in the 2 New North Saros Series with potential themes of towers and/or lifestyles collapsing, the necessary rebuilding once the dust has settled, and changes of direction (Brady). This causes me to think of 9/11 and false flag ops typically used by governments to emotionally scam a people into fighting and/or supporting a war even while the US Congress won't declare the 'conflict' as one. And actually, the West vs East conflagration is older than the hills and it's proven itself repeatedly to be at basis an endless round of revenge with machiavellian figures hiding behind dark curtains, clutching the reins--wealthy old men who somehow convince young men to fight proxy-style as crusaders and to fight to the death.
But really we felt forebodings, didn't we, when Donald Trump turned out to have royal Regulus rising with his warrior planet Mars in the last degrees of egotistical Leo, sign of the ruler. Yet only if the unforgivable can be forgiven can we prosper. How tragic to feel I must patiently wait for starry Regulus to fulfill its nature and grant its caution toward a man who takes revenge upon others (regularly and often--it's Mr. Trump's nature...Mars-Saturn = Pluto: the death of many people). For Regulus warns that if revenge is taken, all that has been previously achieved will be lost or suddenly taken away, a karmic situation where a man--or a government--must reap what's been sown.
Better the guilty varmint born with Regulus rising with a raging Mars than the innocent.

December 7, 2017: Here's a brief commentary by The Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins on the resignation of Democratic Senator Al Franken along with a few remarks on Republicans Donald Trump and Roy Moore--one who should also resign and one who should never take a senate seat:
Personally, my wish is that Mr. Franken will return to comedy after his stint on Capitol Hill. Because, having learned a thing or two about his own out-of-bounds treatment of women, he could write some hilariously insightful jokes about Washington DC's political miscreants and the distressing antics of its G-ross O-ld P-erverts!

Mueller Indictments: Why The GOP Should Impeach Donald Trump

Throughout the last month, the Robert Mueller investigation has picked up some serious steam, first with the Indictments of Trump's campaign manager Paul Manafort and Manafort's business associate Rick Gates, and then on December 1st with the indictment of Trump's former national security adviser Michael Flynn. This will inevitably result in more Indictments, which will likely be Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner and son Donald Trump Jr. With the evidence of Trump doing the bidding of Vladimir Putin and Russia interfering in the 2016 elections growing more and more each month, Trump is already losing, or has already lost, the independent voters, and with the approval rating of Congress sitting at a dismal 10%, they need to do something to show that they care more about the credibility, as well as the security, of the country more than towing the party line or most importantly, their own wealth. What is that?
Impeach Donald Trump.
What's keeping them from doing this? Not only has Trump likely committed treason, he's also shown signs of racism by not condemning white supremacists (while condemning protesters) while pushing for a deficit-ballooning Border Wall, making minorities scared as a result, as well as being a threat to the 1st amendment, which is the right to freedom of speech, by suggesting that journalists who criticize him lose their licenses and that protesting NFL players be fired on the spot. By impeaching Donald Trump, the GOP would make a big effort to restore its image, and they would remove themselves of an overly authoritarian President. If Trump gets impeached, Mike Pence, a Republican, would become President, and as my astrological analysis shows, he is more of a true conservative than Trump, who represents the 1% that is getting wealthier every year more than anything. So unless certain high ranking Republicans (like Pence himself and even Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell, the leaders of the House and Senate respectively) are in this scandal themselves, there is no valid reason whatsoever not to impeach Donald Trump, especially with the midterm elections coming next year - unless they will be hacked as well.
If the GOP fails to stand up for justice and impeach Donald Trump, they risk their credibility being ruined forever, and that might just happen according to Jeanne Mayell's predictions, as the GOP will lose relevance over the next eight years. After all, we are in the Pluto in Capricorn era, where governments (Capricorn) will be transformed (Pluto).

Update Dec 1, 2017: in the following post I neglected to mention that voting planet Mercury's position @29Sag, a critical-crisis degree and will soon turn retrograde. Its critical condition (and just having left a conjunction with responsible Saturn--remember the old GOP mantra "fiscal responsibility"?) is apparently enough to stall Republican efforts to pass this bill though GOP leadership continues to shove in spite of the outline-of-a-bill massively increasing the national debt and the deficit.

Nov 30, 2017: If congressional Republicans have their (and ALEC's) way their bogus tax cut legislation to benefit the wealthy class and corporate interests will be voted on on Capitol Hill this evening or in the early hours of Friday December 1, 2017, last I heard. Looking for an astrological signature for this abomination against the American people, I stumbled upon a major opposition which will perfect on Friday December 1, 2017 at 5:05 am est--testy Mars opposing zealous Uranus.
Demands and arrogance tend to abound under this opposition along with the authoritarianism of those who are cantankerous, anti-traditional, argumentative, dangerous, and risk-taking--who like to 'throw caution to the wind' which is one of the ways the US Government of trust-breachers now treat our nation and which is currently shown most obviously by this corporate give-away legislation that Mr. Trump has called a Christmas gift to the American people.
Curiously, We the People's Moon in the Mars-Uranus opposition chart is @8Tau07 and, rounding up, we find an appropriate Sabian Symbol, "A Christmas Tree Decorated." M. E. Jones gives the negative side of this symbol as: "a desire to place people under obligation and to enjoy life's riches without payment in kind." That sounds about right--like the enslavement debt system we already suffer under and it will only get worse if this secretive bill passes and is signed into law by the bankrupt-in-chief. It may be yet another example of voting on a bill without knowing what's in it or it's even being completely written (the dupes and shills!) But their big political donations must keep piling in, right?
Now the Sabian Symbols for December 1's Mars and Uranus may enlighten us concerning under-the-surface conditions so let's list them with their negative potentials (since we're talking Politics and our saboteur-infiltrated Capitol Hill--maybe not so hidden after all):
Mars '25Libra': "Information in the Symbol of An Autumn Leaf...TACT: negative expression: fascination with the trivial and delight in unbridled fantasy" (this sounds like Trump to me though of course you may disagree!)Uranus '25Aries': "A Double Promise" ('Reveals Its Inner and Outer Meanings')..."SENSIBILITY: negative expression: a lean to chicanery in all human relationships." Well, that part is self-explanatory, isn't it? Plus, it reminds me of the way Republicans keep using the 'we promised' pretext as if the public is awaiting this dicey bill with baited breath and would be so-o-o disappointed if it fails to pass when really it's the GOP's promise to wealthy donors that they are bound to the tightest for the sake of their careers.
Since the two planets are precisely opposite one another, each is at the Illumination Point degree of the other. Unbridled fantasy and chicanery are what we now expect from Trump, the GOP, and the corporate Democrats as they perform their Political Theater roles and further sell out the American people.
Also of interest is that Mars is the nose of a KITE pattern of high-flying success with maverick Uranus acting as the tail. Jupiter @11Sco09 rises in the chart denoting the bankers, financiers, political donors, and politicians who have large expectations from this lucrative bill--lucrative for them, that is.
Now perhaps mention of the MC of this chart, the Point of Goals and Aspirations--is in order for it is 22Leo20, the 'worst foot forward' or 'foot in mouth' degree (A. Louis). Also, this Mars-Uranus opposition chart when set for Capitol Hill uplifts the February 10, 2017 Lunar Eclipse (22Leo28) and in 10th house is The Great American Solar Eclipse of August 21, 2017 @28Leo52 which conjoined the natal Ascendant of Donald Trump. Currently we are all under the influence of this eclipse which is in The Mother of All Eclipses Saros Series of 1 North with themes of 'unexpected events put pressure on relationships' and 'info is distorted and possibly false' (Predictive Astrology, B. Brady).

So perhaps you agree that, considering the lowering, degrading events since Donald Trump entered the Oval Office, America is being eclipsed across the globe and is being sabotaged from within. My fret today (which will be moot for now if the bill fails to pass) is that this ALEC/Koch-driven legislation will help make certain that our nation can never stand tall again.

The GOP, Pro Life? More Like Anti Life

Over the last few days, some old Obama era laws have been repealed or are in the process of being repealed, such as removing the regulations on birth control, enabling employers to not cover birth control for religious reasons, and proposing to repeal the Clean Power Act, which would result in an increase of pollution, which would result in a decline in the quality of life for everyone. Attorney General Jeff Sessions has also announced the reversal of protections of transgender citizens from discrimination in the workplace, making them once again prone to harassment, which results in a lower quality of life. And the whole year, especially the summer, was known for continuous efforts to repeal the Affordable Care Act, more commonly known as Obamacare, which would have resulted in millions losing coverage, reducing their quality of life. Get a pattern here? The Republican party is known as the "pro life" party, because of their opposition to abortion, but does that really make them pro life, when the vast majority of their policies negatively effect the quality of life of the American citizens?
In a word, no.
Any political party that supports taking away people's health care with the replacements allowing insurers to deny coverage for pre existing conditions, that supports cutting programs the neediest citizens depend on in order to support tax cuts for the wealthy, as well as wars where innocent people die, that supports eliminating environmental restrictions, resulting in a lower quality of air to breathe, supports the discrimination of the LGBT community, supports easier access to semi automatic weapons (I do not support taking away of guns in general, as a disarmed population leads to tyranny), and supports restricting access to birth control, which prevents the abortions they're against from taking place, is not truly pro life. You cannot be pro life and support policies like this, that will have a negative effect on the quality of life of the American citizens. Not to be divisive, but anybody who votes Republican and/or supports Trump is supporting these policies.
And the thing is, most people who vote Republican are Christian. If you're a Republican and reading this, do you really think Jesus would be in favor of anti life policies, like those of the Republican party ever since Reagan's presidency? Would Jesus support cutting people's food stamps or taking away people's health care in order to fund wars and tax cuts for the wealthy, when the wealth gap has never been more extreme and is only getting wider? Would Jesus support restricted access to birth control, even though it prevents abortions, which are more risky? Would Jesus support everybody having low quality air to breathe?
From what I've read in the Bible, very doubtful. Yet Christians, by voting Republican, are supporting policies that are so against the very nature of the Christ they worship every Sunday. Jesus said nothing about gay marriage or abortion, yet said that it's easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than it is for a rich masn to enter the Kingdom of God, chased the bankers out of the temple, and said "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the Children of God". Does any of that fit the GOP's political platform?
The Aquarian Age
In astrology, it is well known that we're in the transition period between the Piecean Age and the Aquarian Age. Christianity is a product of the Piscean Age, as shown by one of its symbols being a fish. The shadow side of Pisces represents illusions, and the Piscean Age has been full of illusions, mainly how our current financial system is supposedly good for us when the rich are getting richer at the expense of everyone else, and how we supposedly have a voice when the elite oligarchs control our elected officials. The conservative Christian mindset, that they are actually following Jesus' teachings, can also be considered an illusion. In this transitional period, new ideas are gaining momentum, such as single payer health care and Universal Basic Income, which would have been considered crazy 15 years ago, and the combination of the truth coming out (Aquarius rules truth), as well as these new energies, has the elite scared of losing their power, and thus the politicians they control are in the process of increasing the suppression, to slow down the inevitable change. This is why both the GOP and the Democratic party have been more extreme than ever the last few years, to divide us.
What should we do to really be pro life? Simple. Treat others how you'd want to be treated. Jesus also said "Love your neighbor as thyself. There is no commandment greater than these", and it is no secret that we've gone far away from that. Going back to doing that is the only way to be pro life, as well as overcome the oppressors, as they want us to be divided and at each other's throats, so we can't unite as one.

The GOP Health Care Bill - Why Health Care Should Be Singlepayer
One of the main focuses this summer has been the attempted repeal of Obamacare by the GOP. The current bill would leave millions of people uninsured if it passes, but the biggest eye opener is that Congress would be exempt from the bill if it passes. In what way is Congress making laws that don't apply to them acceptable? While I've been critical of Obamacare in the past, mainly because it's a ponzi scheme to make health care providers richer through a mandate and increased prices, uninsuring millions of Americans is not the answer, as it is only a return to the outdated status quo.
The Answer? Single Payer Healthcare
As I have mentioned before, the country and everyone in it has been under the influence of Neptune in Pisces since April 2011 (the kids born with Neptune in Pisces will have this influence for the rest of their lives). This is significant since Neptune is in its own sign, and both Neptune and the sign of Pisces rule compassion and sacrifice. Therefore, it is no coincidence that since 2011, there's been a push for our elected officials to be more compassionate, and sacrificing their own status (which will be a fight, as many congress members and president Donald Trump have Pluto in Leo, the sign that rules status and royalty) for the betterment of all.
After all, it doesn't make sense to have to pay money to be healthy, as that should be a right when you think about it long and hard. Single payer health care, through a Medicare expansion, would have everyone in the country insured. So why is it such a bad idea to the GOP? Because it's "socialist"? The current system, designed to make the rich richer and the country dependent on warfare, has the country trillions of dollars in debt and another economic collapse will likely happen in the next few years. With the middle class declining rapidly and the country being close to another revolution (the US Pluto return will happen in March 2022), change is needed that will ensure a better quality of life for all Americans without being enslaved to the system, and single payer health care (along with Universal Basic Income) will be a change that will provide that.
The better question is: WHY are we so scared of that? Change is good sometimes, and this time it's necessary considering the current Pluto in Capricorn (which rules government, institutions, and big business) and Neptune in Pisces transits, as well as the Uranus in Taurus (which rules money and material possessions) transit that will start next year. With the transformer (Pluto) and the planet of unexpected change and rebellion (Uranus) in the two most materialistic signs, and Neptune, the planet of compassion and sacrifice, in its own sign, the outdated status quo that is not in humanity's best interests cannot continue, and the sooner it changes, the less chaotic it will be.

Republicans to Slash Needed Domestic Programs to Fund More War and Conquest

Since Mr. Trump and the Republicans have their knives out intending to gut social programs for the weak, ill, and aging among us while massive tax cuts are put in place for the wealthy class, a review of the History of Medicare and Medicaid seems timely. And as you know, in 1972 (under Nixon) an expansion of the social safety net was enacted to include coverage for the disabled, end-stage renal disease patients needing dialysis or a kidney transplant, and citizens age 65 and older.
But waging perpetual war for the sake of Empire is a very costly endeavor and it isn't as if the disabled, ill, and aging can or would enlist in the military, right? So did the GOP finally accept Trump as their 'outsider' president because they knew that an unprincipled man would agree to cut whatever programs they targeted? And that, after spouting campaign rhetoric that he would not cut the very programs now under the GOP knife! Not that I believed him, of course. Did you?

Always the Tiresome Trade-Off: Guns vs Butter

Yes, with dreamy Neptune rising in his natal chart, Speaker Paul Ryan is quite a big dreamer. But do the current GOP austerity measures against the American people put you in mind of Republican President Eisenhower's famous Chance for Peace speech of 1953? Here's an excerpt:
"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children." Theft. He said theft. To give the wealthy more tax cuts while harming little children.
Now Eisenhower's words contain way too vast a concept for a subjective man like Mr. Trump to grasp although certainly some Republican congress members have the mental and emotional capacity to understand that such theft from We the People will result in millions of Americans ill and starving on the streets and infecting everyone else. Plus, the US economy will suffer from the additional financial burden placed upon our families. (No, churches cannot do it all). But that's where lack of conscience and principles come in--when politicians plainly show that no, they are not their brother's keepers.
Now I don't mean that the US isn't worse off economically than we've been led to believe these last decades and my suspicion is that this is very much the case. 'White collar' theft abounds, as you know, and as noted, waging global war and acting as World Cop takes a whole lot of filthy lucre.
However, the austerity path of heartlessness the GOP demands for America is not the only path to take. Even if it's the global bankers' * 'big picture commands a certain course of action, little option to do otherwise' offer-they-can't-refuse situation that our compromised, bribed, and threatened 'representatives' on Capitol Hill are following because the 'otherwise' involves too much risk for their own hides to take. Apparently the extra added 'benefit' of population control (a la Ayn Rand) seems to suit the Republicans (and their enablers) just fine--as long as they and their loved ones remain unaffected. (They hope!)
Well, thanks for letting me vent. The current news on Medicaid and other financial cuts enrages me on behalf of the common good and for the sake of my native country (which I'm very partial to!) I must vehemently dissent against the Republican austerity agenda and sorry-a**ed war economy which are suggested by the cruelty and hardship potentials of year 2020.

As they voted, one of today's double-Earth Sun Taurus-Moon Virgo 'Images for Integration' (combining conscious + unconscious energies) seems completely appropriate to what GOP politicians perpetrated today upon the American people on behalf of Congress' corporate and Wall Street donors--and probably to boost congress members' own stock portfolios (which should be investigated). How interesting since, as Speaker of the House, Mr. Ryan is third in the line of succession for the presidency should Mr. Trump and Mr. Pence somehow fall by the wayside.
Then we'd have ourselves a President Ron Ryan!
