One Nation Working Together plans a March on Washington on Saturday, October 2, 2010 to Demand the Changes We Voted For.
Beginning at 12:00 noon edt at the Lincoln Memorial (quite a busy location of late), the disgruntled event continues until 4:00 pm. You'll find there are local events to participant in if you wish to click the link above. People who voted for Barack Obama in 2008 are feeling that their confidence may have been misplaced and their generosity bestowed where it didn't belong.
During the 2008 campaign, I blogged ad nauseum that Mr. Obama's natal Mars upon US natal Neptune (the 'rock star' connection) would keep the American public from seeing him as he really was, from discerning his true motivations because the action, energy, and desires of his natal Mars are veiled by our national Neptune. This worked great for putting one over and getting elected but the honeymoon period ended months ago as more US jobs and homes are being lost with transit Neptune and wounding Chiron still sitting upon US natal Moon (the people) and bringing us loss, fraud, deception, confusion, gas leaks, rig blowouts, and flooding.
The time for platitudes, slogans, and cliches has ended.
With 7Sag26 rising (and bringing up US natal ASC 12Sag) at noon Oct 2, 2010 at the Lincoln Memorial (38N53:22 77W03:02), Jupiter 26Pis55 Rx is chart-ruler but makes no applying aspects (except to Ic 23Pis42.) Of course, tr Uranus 28Pis10 Rx is in tow and opposes the March on Washington's Mercury 28Vir18, planet of speeches, oration, and reporters. This makes Jupiter's sign and house placement (4th) prominent yet any improvements which may acrue from the March will be delayed (chart-ruler retrograde.)
Jupiter's ongoing team-up with progressive Uranus is at the base of October 2's March with the duo's 'new ideas' and 'lucky breaks' flavor. Yet we've been suffering from an abundance of fraudulent schemes and deceptions from the Jupiter opposing US natal Neptune transit - in tandem with tr Neptune to US natal Moon in Aquarius.
There are 'plants' in the crowd (Eros, the piercing, conjunct Venus 12Sco38 and Mars 12Sco01) with agents masquerading as marchers - beware. Sun 9Lib21 (the leader) conjoins Fixed Star Vindemiatrix (loss of partner - loss of the public?), fresh from a meet-up with restrictive (Democrat) Saturn 7Lib57. The Sun applies to a sesqui-square with the Neptune/Chiron conj, an aspect of dynamic activity, but which represents two entwined squares (blockages; obstacles.) Quite a disjointed relationship between leader (BHO) and we-the-people (Neptune = US natal Moon with Oct 2's Moon 28Can37 inconjunct both = adjustments are needed, and pronto! This chart's 3rd quarter Sun/Moon phase = crisis in consciousness. Oct 2's Moon at noon also opposes US natal Pluto, planet of power and control; together they have a propaganda and publicity vibe.)
At noon, the Midheaven in DC 23Vir42 places US natal Neptune (and thus, Mr. Obama's natal Mars) at the top of the chart, the Aspiration-Goal Point. Neptune also signifies the masses and Virgo is the sign of work. We may extrapolate a descriptive midpoint picture: Mars/Neptune = Mc: discontent; feeling inferior; a lack of energy; hopelessness (faded Hope!); failures; a state of weakness or illness.
That Mr. Obama could gain the Oval Office with the help of Wall Street, play his role in the mummery that was Financial Collapse 2008 and the subsequent bank bailouts to wealthy culprits and robbers, then leave Main Street in the lurch has brought the president a March on Washington to protest what seems like his half-hearted efforts on the people's behalf. Or at best, the president's efforts may help matters in the long-term when it's short-term problems that leave the kids' tummies unfed and the bills unpaid.
What I find difficult to believe is that the intelligent Mr. Obama couldn't have seen our disaffection coming from the beginning since he knew the power elite script ahead of time! Is he himself left in the lurch now - in the middle - by those who pull the strings? Was a Democrat installed in the White House as a salve to the people's Bush-ruffled feathers while the over-arching agenda of the one-world-government types awaits fuller implementation by the next president, a Republican? Are US presidents only bull-horning cheerleaders - mouthpieces - who tout the power-behind-the-throne's platform of chaos meant to lead to totalitarianism?
(Next thing we know, the old ploy of monarchs starting a war to divert their unhappy subjects may play out once again before our eyes: that's the tactic Bush-Cheney used after their disputed installation into the White House by SCOTUS! The terms "illegitimate presidency" and "usurpers" were on many people's lips in 2001 - until the attacks of 9/11 and the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq squelched them.)
As you know, Pluto 2Cap53 (about to conjoin tr North Node on Nov 9, 2010 with the Moon 3Cap36 @ 3:13 pm est, DC) has been focal planet of some difficult midpoint pictures of late even though the Cardinal T-Squares and Cross have separated. Now I won't type those pictures again but do want to mention a particular T-Square in play for October 2, 2010...the Mercury/Uranus pair indicates 'riots or rebellions which occur because info about goals are not well explained or defined' (Munkasey)...
Mercury/Uranus = Pluto: attracting sudden reverses or complications in life; a hasty realization of plans; over-strained or over-stimulated nerves; tremendous power for work, action, leadership; getting the biggest job done in a commanding way. (Ebertin; Tyl.)
And I don't mean to imply that a simple matter of 'miscommunication' is President Obama's problem here - I lean toward a belief that if he did divulge the truth of the larger global plan and the true condition of things, Washington would have mega- thousands of people marching upon it...enough to shut down The Swamp and start all over again. Plus, he has to follow the NWO's false-reality script or his presidency is aborted, and the pitchforks come out en masse. But that's me. Feel free to disagree.
So at noon on Saturday, there are two midpoints rising as the event gets underway; one is Venus/Pluto = 'extremes of wealth hidden in secret places' and 'attracting elements of organized crime'...

Yet we know that political slogans no longer suffice within the growing gap between rich and poor in America, so let's hope that Congress also gets the message along with President Obama: that their stalling tactics and political power games are old hat, a tiresome cliche that we-the-people, the most powerful force in the nation, are not going to wear anymore.

We're quite a mish-mash of thinkers and feelers which I suspect the elite ruling class realized long ago with their 'liberal vs conservative' tactics to keep us divided and conquered.
(In my universe, thinkers are allowed to feel and feelers are allowed to think whenever necessary!)
When our conscious Sun traits of Cancer are melded into our unconscious Aquarian Moon traits, we can be friends to the world with an advantageous flair for traditional progressivism. This is what I suspect most Americans are and prefer to be, for we see things as working best that way, even as politics' divisive 'either/or' requirements and propagandistic slogans busy themselves with gumming up the efficient working of our society. Unfortunately for the good of our nation, most Capitol Hill Republicans and Democrats purposefully lost that thread decades ago and have no intention of gaining it back.
With Sun Cancer-Moon AQ, the typical clannishness of Cancer is universalized by the Aquarian Moon so that broad social issues are always on our country's agenda. Family is paramount with us, yet our friends and colleagues tend to be treated as 'family', too. So personal warmth combines with abstract thought and is communicated to the world with aplomb and conviction. The sign Cancer is shrewd in business, yet we prefer to match our sentiments with actions for the benefit of all.
A weakness of the Can-AQ blend is a tendency to 'mother the world' and take on too many burdens at once. We have only to look at our government's meddling and misadventures in foreign countries to see where this tendency has led us (an empty treasury being one of its dire results.)

Well, we're back from our weekend in Atlanta and the excellent Dali exhibition at the High Museum of Art. So what do I find as I return to politics and the blogosphere?
It's official: America is a police state, says Dr. Paul Craig Roberts with whom I heartily agree for I believe that the attacks of 9/11/01 have been a signpost along the way.
Look at the engineered Financial Crisis 2008: bankruptcy rates have greatly increased ever since with more home foreclosures lining up in the wings. And what is the Sabian Symbol for the Moon (the people) on the morning of 9/11/01?
'28 Gemini' = "BANKRUPTCY" with the astrological Moon describing a reigning need.
How much clearer could it be that these events are part of an over-arching process to weaken this nation financially and socially and cause we-the-people to plead for a new world order (aka, one-world-government) to 'rescue' us? Some rescue!
The current move to include 'home grown terrorism' on the US government's target and enforcement lists is part of the process toward totalitarianism and world government. Alas, some of us expected and dreaded it when neocon Zionist warhawks usurped the White House in December 2000 (not that Al Gore isn't one of the social engineers, too - perhaps a member of a different faction than Cheney and his ilk.)
And the government proceeds as if everyone trusts that terrorist acts are committed by culprits identified by the US government! Bosh!

The true US poverty rate being disguised
As it turns out, the US Census Bureau, official counter of poverty stricken Americans everywwhere, uses an outdated method to determine poverty rates which dates back to 1955!
Well, that's one of the many good ways to skew the numbers - use criteria from 55 years ago for 2010 issues. As if anyone with eyes, ears, and a brain couldn't tell. The US government fudges numbers - doh!
Did you know that in the 1930s, a congressman filed a lawsuit against the Secretary of the Treasury and the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve Banks for fraud and treason, among other crimes? I believe the lawsuit still stands. He called them "predatory lenders".
Refreshing to think that there are some folk with enough moral courage to step up and call out a gaggle of crooks when they find one, isn't it?

Perhaps this culminating progressed phase describes a backround symptom of the party's split shown by the rise of the Tea Party. Meet the Tea Party candidates (video)
Alex D'Atria of GOP Thinks sent along this video with details on a gaggle of Tea Party candidates and their ideas of how to govern. The smorgasbord includes Sharron Angle and Rand Paul for your 'be very afraid' consideration.
Ah, US Politics...anything emotionally engaging that keeps the American people's panties in a twist, us at each others' throats, and the power elite in charge!
And here's an oldie but moldy concerning neocon Bill Kristol's 1993 political strategy memo which sent to the GOP on how to obstruct the health care reform that might have benefited the American people years ago. Now Tea Partisans are trying to obstruct the GOP's easy slides into Capitol Hill, and in some cases, the same for Democratic incumbents.
Now on a personal level, I find this political theater tres amusing.
But on a business-of-the-people level, any Tea Partisans who make it all the way and have ideas such as those expressed in the above video could manage to gridlock the political process more than they help our nation. Yet schizophrenically, I do agree with Tea Party activists that something needs to be done about how establishment Washington politicians have undermined our country and sold the American people down the tubes toward a global internationalist New World Order. So far I've yet to hear any of them approach topics in those terms, have you?
And because it's a common trait of human nature that ego games are played in every area of life (especially where money, power, and prestige are concerned), I have doubts that the Koch brothers' funded Tea Party movement, if victorious, will be any different than the same old egotistical power plays we've always seen in Washington - only the team members' names will be changed.
My suspicion is that switching middle management will make little if any difference, for Washington politicians' habit of succumbing to blackmail to keep their positions, and the control of politicians by powers behind the throne and 'special interests', will continue.
Meanwhile (though it may be entertaining) Tea Partisans seem to me to be playing on the bottom rungs of power when real decisions are made far above - where ballots are counted, and from whence our cat's paw presidents are installed.
Why, a Tea Partisan newly seated in the US Congress would be a mere kitten tangled in yarn! And ripe for very easy sabotaging, I might add.
Yes, it is most unfortunate for America's future as a sovereign nation that the infestation of Washington DC needs a lot more than out-of-the-mainstream candidates challenging traditional GOP and Democrat power bases to successfully clear out the vermin now rotting the American woodwork.
But perhaps it represents some sort of belated start.

Saturn/Uranus = Pluto: concealing changes to activities; ending extreme practices which have hindered progress (like child abuse? church pews and coffers are quite empty - jc); rigid inflexibility replaces adaptation.
Now if you've enlarged the chart, you've spied the religious Jupiter/Chiron conjunction of the Vatican at its natal Ic, in Pisces, sign of the Two Fishes and symbol of Christ (as is Chiron); today at noon in London, tr Neptune (the Divine Source; the Spirit) conjoining Chiron (as they've been for what seems like ages now) conjoins the Vatican's natal Ic as well. Jupiter tends more toward codified religion while Neptune is the spiritual realm of the Divine.
(So if you tend toward thinking that Vatican II represents the Divine Source, you'd probably best skip the personal and Protestant opinions added after the ~:~ break below. You can thank me later. ;p)
When you consider the horoscope of Vatican II (data from historical record) the many facets of 'the lady' appear to light up the whole shebang. Here's a partial list with the sign Virgo ('the virgin') prominent: Sun 19Lib30 conjunct asteroid Lilith conjunct vestal virgin Vesta, keeper of the eternal flame (which always puts me in mind of the Illuminati since one of their primary signatures is Uranus/Neptune, the duo of 'enlightenment' and 'illumination'); natal ASC = Venus/Neptune: a peculiar disposition regarding love; revealing in love ideals; possibly a libertine image.
Mary worship is, of course, a given here. Devotion (Neptune) to a lady (Venus.)
Yet there's another midpoint that sits upon the Vatican's natal ASC...
Saturn/Uranus = ASC: the fate of standing alone in the world; mourning and bereavement; focus on forces for change which had been abruptly halted due to traditional influences; public attitudes about the institution of change concerning traditional procedures. (Munkasey.)

Kathryn relates the papal sojourn to the UK with the final of three Jupiter/Uranus conjunctions this Sunday, September 19, with Jupiter (the Pope) meeting the protests of radical Uranus in Pisces, also a sign of the masses. Child abuse in the Catholic Church is the primary trigger for protests and criticism, of course, and this particular Pope has some history of 'marking 'em up and sending 'em on' (an Ab Fab reference), if I understand the matter correctly. This seems to be how church authorities protect their bad apple priests (no matter how many barrels of them you must hide by relocating them to other parishes.)
For years it was all very hush-hush, you know. Until the lawsuits started.

Now to me it seems very cheeky of a Pope surrounded by such controversy to arrive with lectures for the British people on anything but then I don't see pedophile priests, bishops, cardinals, or the popes who apologize for them as doing God's work. If that's a critical flaw in me honed by a lifetime of Protestantism, so be it.
The Ten Commandments
Besides, I refuse to forget how centuries ago, the Catholic Church sassily deleted the Commandment against not worshiping graven images, then bethought themselves to split Do Not Covet into two so as to keep the original Ten. Even the Roman Empire morphed into the Catholic Church couldn't have sold a 'Nine Commandments' version of God's Law, aka, The Decalogue (how embarrassing that would have been since 9 just can't be 10!) so one can almost sympathize with their predicament on that score (if one were inclined to. But I'm being facetious on that score.)
After all, there were statues 'crying' tears of blood to promote, candles and incense to light, indulgences to sell, inquisitions to mount, and rote prayers to instill, right? Graven images were on their minds.
Whew! The Pope's visit to my olde home countrie is rousing my anti-vatican bias, isn't it? (Not the parishioners, just the hierarchy.) And there must be pros and cons to be said for how the Brits are receiving his majesty in all his finery on the outside meant to inspire reverence and awe, even among those of a secular persuasion. Bosh! It's what's on the inside of a religious leader that should inspire reverence. By their fruits ye shall know them, and this bunch abuses children like satanic freaks, then tries to cover it up with weak apologies and court settlements that admit no guilt.
So whatever transpires inside the sovereign state of the Vatican (some say Satanism) is what Queen Elizabeth now publicly puts her stamp of approval upon as she kisses the Pope's ring in Britain, a nation with child abuse issues of its own.
Or does she approve? Well, we know that US Presidents bow and kiss the holy ring as a sign of respect. My question is: does any representative of the Catholic Church deserve decent people's respect at all? (World leaders are amoral so they don't really count in today's grumpiness.) When thousands turn out to cheer a red-robed pontiff in Britain, this only feeds his imagined role as ruler of the entire world and swells his head. (As you know, red is the color of testosterone-driven Mars, the me-first planet.)
Well, you know that Nancy Pelosi has kissed Pope Benedict's ring with a very engaged looking George Bush looking on (click for photo) as did Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat (of a previous pontiff, of course.)
And since the Pope's Ring of the Fisherman (it shows Peter fishing from a boat and is appropriate for Jupiter conjunct Uranus in Pisces, sign of the Two Fishes) is made of cast gold, one assumes that leaders and others who kiss it are bowing to King Gold - Mithras - as well.
The Roman Empire's military worshiped Mithras and 'papal bulls' still may be issued today. Hmm...gold, bulls, the bull statue on Wall Street, the Pope's Ring, papal bulls, bowing to kiss gold...is there a mysterious pattern here which is not so very mysterious when our eyes are opened wide?

However! By now you've heard that Tea Party candidate Christine O'Donnell won big in yesterday's Republican primary in Delaware with the eventual plum in the pie being VP Joe Biden's old Senate seat.

Deja-vu: the Lehman Brothers collapse 2008 - 2010
September 15, 2010: it's been two years since the stupid mistake was made to let the venerable Lehman Brothers firm crash into bankruptcy. This morning NPR did a 4 minute interview with Peter Chapman who's written a book on the subject. The interview is worth a listen, if you missed it.

Congress returns, Moon enters Sagittarius 9.13.10
Today the US Congress returns to Capitol Hill after the August break for a 4-week session and with many items to address which include the thorny question of whether to extend the Bush tax cuts or not, and for the middle class or the rich.

2012 the Year of Astrology

Sun-Moon blends of 9/11/01 and 9/11/10
Today marks nine years since the attacks of 9/11/01 when the Sun was in Virgo and Moon in Gemini. Naturally, the Sun is in Virgo today was well, but expectably the Moon's sign is different.
9/11/01's Solar Return to 18Vir51 occurred today at 12:42:27 pm edt in Manhattan with the Moon at 4Sco25, so let's briefly compare the two Sun-Moon blends, then and now. Rising was 00Sag46 with '1Sag' being the "A Grand Army of the Republic Campfire" for its Sabian Symbol.
9/11/01: Sun Vir/Moon Gem is an Earth-Air blend indicating rationality, innovation, and efficiency and describes a temperament of the practical idealist who thinks and plans a course of action, then acts without emotional considerations. Oddly enough, there is a conscious impulse to build, consolidate, and organize and to make one's efforts as far-reaching as possible.
I say 'oddly enough' because one might wonder how destruction of buildings on that day can apply here. Perhaps something was under construction in the then-new Bush-Cheney administration which needed the shock value of the attacks in order to prosper and grow. Emotionally charged opinions limit thinking with Sun Vir-Moon Sco, a combination that lives by a 'work before play' motto.

No disrespect is meant in the least and I hope my post is not taken as such. Plus, I send a personal shout-out of solidarity to my cousins and their families who live very near Ground Zero.

Global Banking Reform as Basel III meets 9.12.10
This Sunday in Basel, Switzerland, global titans meet to complete their agenda for new banking requirements which they deem are made necessary by the engineered Financial Collapse of 2008. The meeting occurs 'under the radar' for most of us, hence this posting peep-eye.
Sunday's conclave, Basel III is meant to establish, among other things, the amounts that banks must set aside for future crises and will perhaps provide substance to America's recent financial reform effort, the Dodd-Frank bill and its murky lack of particulars...devil in the details, etc. Guess the devil will be attending Basel III to help set the details.
Now you know that Mercury will still be retrograde in Virgo on Sunday, right? Virgo is good with details but a Rx Mercury, planet of meetings and negotiations, may indicate that this is not their last meeting - or, more likely, that this is another in a series of meetings where they will re-view and re-consider banking rules of a new financial order (which some call a New World Order.)

Mr. Boehner's birth time is unknown to me, but for the 24-hour period, the Moon remained in Libra (11:13 - 26:03) with Sun in Scorpio ranging from 24:31 to 25:32; Mercury in Scorpio 21:17 - 23:23.

Looking ahead to November midterms 2010
While Democrats pushed through a jobs bill that kept the doors open at local schools, hospitals, and senior centers, Republicans voted to lay off hundreds of thousands of Americans.
While Democrats looked out for us, paying for this bill by eliminating corporate loopholes, Republicans looked out for CEOs who shipped jobs overseas.
It's a clear choice this November. Either we open doors to a better future, or we slam the door in its face.

Or at least I feel less left out with Democrats in charge.
Yeah, that's some choice the American people have for November midterms but I've never ever voted for George W. Bush before so you certainly won't catch me voting for Bush-Cheney policies this November 2010. You?
For if the GOP should wrest control of the House or Senate in November, the resulting gridlock will tie this country into more knots than we've ever before seen at a critical time when things need to improve, not stagnate in Washington.
Now I'm not a big fan of the health insurance legislation that was passed because I don't think it addressed our issues well enough and will cause rising costs for the American people, at least in the short run. But the middle class will not appreciate Republicans fighting that battle over ad nauseum, along with other battles against a Dem White House, just to score political points for their side and make themselves look important.
One thing we cannot do in November, however, is stay home, not vote, and let the GOP trample over us as they did for 8 years under Bush-Cheney. How are we liking the wars Bush-Cheney started and refused to finish? Because those neocon warhawks are what we'll be voting for in November if we vote GOP. That, I refuse to do.
And all this comes from a blogging gnat who doesn't believe the US actually has a two-party system. More Independents, please!
Now imagine if everyone in the nation got behind President Obama - and if his policies didn't work, like FDR, he and we would try something else. Actually, I thought that's what our collective plan was from January 20, 2009. And no, the Democrats are no angels, but who tossed the monkey wrench of obstructionism into our plan out of sheer spite and cussedness for losing the White House?
Predictably, it's the rabid Republican Party which seems to think they have a 'divine right' to rule. They did no soul searching when they lost in 2008. They took their same old deficiencies and prejudices and beat Mr. Obama over the head with them. I was one of those who said, Shut up. You lost. But they plowed through led by Rush's "I hope he fails" ploy. One assumes the rest of Rush's sentiment involves the failing of the nation as well since presidents-r-us.
And that's after we crashed into the ditch the GOP drove us into under Bush-Cheney with Limbaugh cheering them on! So who profited most from those 8 years? Maybe you. But it certainly wasn't the majority of the American people.
Well, if Washington politicians aren't going to legislate on Capitol Hill led by the party in power without resorting to this sort of stubborn undermining and trickery by the minority party until the nation is in worse trouble than before, why not reduce our government to only one party in name as it acts in deed? Call a ruling class a ruling class and forget the tiresome theatrics.
When the power and ego games they play leave we-the-people and our pressing business out of the political process, it's our right to kick them out of Washington. In the 2010 midterms, I'll vote Dem or Independent, but I can't think of one single Republican who deserves a chance in November to show me what he or she can do. Their party's actions and ideology of the past 10 years have shown me too well what they can do and will do if they gain a majority of seats in either chamber.
They'll ramp up the nastiness against the White House, gridlock everything, and once again the American people will be the collateral damage of the 'win at any cost' tactics that much of Washington loves so well.
Is more gridlock what we need at this critical juncture?
Or should we support the White House we have while letting Mr. Obama know when we - not the power-seeking opponents trying to undermine him - don't agree with his policies?

Francis Bacon, Uranus/Neptune, and Pluto
If you like to read about America's founding, Rosicrucianism, Freemasonry, and other such mystical topics, you may be interested in a discovery I've just made of a site that has so many links and articles to check out, I'm just getting started. But I want to be certain you knew about it, too, though much investigation is required to find out how much it contains concerning America.
As you know, Sir Francis Bacon was an early activist within the 'New World', 'New Utopian' crowd and is thought to be the founder of English Freemasonry.
My own discovery is intriguingly titled Nine Degrees of Francis Bacon and is chocked full of some fascinating stuff!

Seems to me that we would have to characterize the attacks of 9/11 as 'shock doctrine' and sadly for civilized people the world over, transformative Pluto's transit through the structural sign of Saturn-ruled Capricorn is mightily aiding the Uranian-Neptunian agenda as Mr. Hades, wearing his cape of invisibility, slowly approaches his natal position in **1776 at America's founding.

Newt Gingrich then and now: (im) peaches and tea
Newt Gingrich last won political office so long ago the chads have whiskers.
And though he's up to something GOP-ish with the big corporation Koch Brothers funded Tea Party movement, this article comparing him in his political heyday (think 'impeach Clinton') to his current machinations leaves me sputteringly speechless. Almost.
As I like to remind people whenever necessary: Mr. Gingrich is not from Georgia. I am from Georgia. He is not. And yes, there be many home-grown jackasses from Georgia and I may very well be one of them.
But Gingrich is from elsewhere.
So if you must, here's Newt back in 2009 accusing President Obama of 'coddling terrorists' while visions of Joseph McCarthy danced in his head.

This may be a good thing considering how Capitol Hill has spent and gambled with taxpayers' money the last several years and put us into beggarship. Alternately, Saturn here may indicate loss through gambling or risk-taking, so caution is advised.
The big, honkin' mass of T-Squares all point to manipulative puppet master Pluto 2Cap49 (again opposing US natal Venus in Cancer); Mr. Hades refuses to share his power or reveal his true plans; highlighted in yellow, upper right, is the list of the midpoint pictures formed by the T-SQs; please look them up for some are repeats which I've noted here before.)
One date to mark on our calendars is Nov 9, 2010 when the Moon meets Pluto meeting the transiting North Node of encounters with destiny. The dragon's head (NN) conjoins Pluto, the dragon, while the dragon's tail (SN) swipes US natal Venus, planet of evaluations and relationships. Moon-Pluto-NN 3Cap36 hook up @ 3:13 pm est, Washington DC. (I'm using the Moon as a timer here to get an exact moment; the Pluto/NN conjunction lasts longer than that, of course.)
Soon to come is this Wednesday's New Moon 15Vir41 of September 8, 2010 (Rosh Hashanah) also also falls in 4th house of the EQ chart (noted as 'Syz Moon' = Syzygy Moon, the prior lunation), along with the unaspected chart-ruler Mercury, planet of commerce, trade, young people, reporters, journalists, and bloggers. All types of communications, speeches and speech writers are also under Mercury's purview. That the speedy one is unaspected strengthens the mercurial energies of the chart within its house and sign (with the effects lasting until at least Winter Solstice 2010 - or perhaps until Spring EQ 2011.) Plus, Mercury is strong in one of its own signs.
With Virgo being the sign of the critic, book writer, and health worker, we may expect emphasis placed on these areas to be of great interest in the US. If a new book hits the best seller list, it will most likely be from a home grown author, or its topic will center on US concerns which include real estate.
Mercury in 4th house may also indicate a moving of residence, and its energy may boomerang into the 10th house of Career. Moon in sympathetic Pisces is an interesting placement and with sign Pisces at MC, career decisions may overwhelm the people (Moon); much publicity may continue to center on (un)employment issues.
Plus, Luna nears the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction 28Pis10/33, both Rx, a pairing of energies that describes explorations, scientific, or technological realms. Jupiter rules Pisces with Neptune as co-ruler (as I say around here) and with Neptune 26AQ27 Rx conj Chiron 26:59 Rx - both conjunct US natal Moon - we may expect more news and concerns about oil spills and blowouts, gas leaks, or flooding here or abroad (9th house, but conjunct US n Moon.)
Now I don't usually include the mysterious Dark or Black Moons but I have penned one in because it conjoins the Neptune-Chiron-US natal Moon trio at MC: it's Dark Moon w/mat2 which I note as a depression indicator and as a spot in a horoscope where something is being hidden. Since it's near MC, perhaps revelations about the Deepwater Horizon blowout (and other water disasters) will be aired in the next few weeks or months.
ASC 23Gem00 brings up America's natal Mars, planet of action, energy, motivation, quarrels, and war. Fixed Stars Capella (Alpha Auriga, of constellation Auriga, The Charioteer: the need for independence; taking the reins of control) and Phact (Alpha Columba Noae: exploring unchartered waters; seeking the unknown; the quest for adventure) are rising as well. Note the keyphrases for Phact in relation to America's tendency to expand and invade territories.
Also, Columba Noae = The Dove of Noah's Ark, which is hopefully a reference to President Obama's participation (or refereeing?) of the Middle East peace process - such as there is one. 'Columba' or 'Columbia' also refer to America as does 'Atlantis' (which also relates to ancient Atlantis and to the Atlantic Ocean; keywords: where one feels doomed; abuse of power); you see that
Atlantis is penned into the 4th house and is conjoined with nasty old asteroid, Nemesis (divine retribution; the unbeatable foe.) Foes we got, foes we continue to make as abuse of power occurs on all sides.
One worst case scenario may be that the 4th house Mercury unaspected in criticizing Virgo with difficult asteroids = terrorists in the homeland, yet links to the US military cannot be ruled out (US natal Mars rising) especially with US n Neptune in 4th house - our national Mars/Neptune square may be at work with its confused motivations and/or deceptive actions. US security needs are on the agenda.
And if the 29th-crisis-degreed Dec 21, 2010 Lunar Eclipse (here, in 1st house) affects the markets as previously predicted along with the finance-influencing Solar Eclipse of Jan 4, 2011 (opposing US natal Sun and also at a critical degree), troops may be held on stand-by and perhaps for good reason - to control the angry peasants.
